The exhaust manifolds on the driver and passenger side are cracked. Ticking sounds are made while car is cold and goes away after they have heated up enough, typically after 5 minutes. This results in letting in exhaust fumes inside the cabin, regardless of the air conditioner/heater is on, which leads to being lightheaded and nearly passing out and crashing. The fumes are stronger when stationary but happens no matter what, even after the ticking is gone and driving down the highway.
The exaust manifolds cracked and is letting fumes into the cabin. I bought the truck about 2 weeks ago from a private dealer. The cracked manifolds began to leak a few days ago and I truthfully believe it should be covered by Nissan
The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Titan. The contact stated upon starting the vehicle, the vehicle emitted abnormal ticking sounds. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to an exhaust specialist where it was diagnosed that the weld joint between the tube and the common mounting plate of the manifold was cracked, allowing the exhaust gas to escape and expand underneath the hood of the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.

ACCIDENT HAPPENED IN JUNE, VEHICLE RETURNED IN SEPTEMBER, APPROXIMATELY A WEEK AFTER PICK UP, CODED LEAK IN EMULATION SYSTEM, MANIFOLD/EXHAUST CAUSING FUMES TO BACK UP INTO TRUCK WHILE STOPPED, EXTREME FUEL CONSUMPTION AND LACK OF POWER, CAUSING IDLE TO IDLE LOW AT STOP. THIS DEVELOPED AFTER A SIDESWIPED HIT ACCIDENT AND TRANSMISSION BEING REPLACED. LEFT AND RIGHT SENSOR ALSO CODED.

WE JUST TOOK OUR 2008 NISSAN TITAN INTO HAVE OIL CHANGED WE HAD JUST GOTTEN THE VEHICLE A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE AND FOUND OUT THAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLDS WERE CRACKED WITH ONLY 66K MILES ON IT! THIS TRUCK IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO TOW PACKAGE AND NOT USED FOR HAULING OR HEAVY WORK. WE HAD NO IDEA THIS WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLES OR WE WOULDN'T HAVE BOUGHT ONE. WHILE DRIVING HOME THE TRUCK REVVED AND LOST POWER, I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR THE TRUCK REGAINED POWER AND I WAS ABLE TO SLOWLY DRIVE THE TRUCK HOME. WHOSE NAME IS [XXX] WHO IS OUR DISTRICT MANAGER, HE SIMPLY TOLD US THAT THE WARRANTY WAS NO LONGER IN EFFECT AND WE WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL EXPENSES. I MENTIONED THE UNFAIRNESS OF THE SITUATION, HIS RESPONSE WAS I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN IT INTO THE DEALER FOR ALL OF ITS MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE RECOMMENDATIONS. WHEN I MENTIONED THAT WE HAD ALL THE MAINTENANCE AND SERVICES RECOMMENDED DONE THROUGH OUR SMALL BUSINESS LOCAL MECHANIC WHO BY THE WAY HAS MORE CERTIFICATES AND EXPERIENCE THAN HIS NISSAN TEAM HE ARGUED THE FACT. I SHARED HOW WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT OUR LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO PAYS FOR ALL OF HIS EXPENSES ON HIS OWN TO RUN HIS BUSINESS UNLIKE THE NISSAN TEAM WHO WORK UNDER THE UMBRELLA OF THE NISSAN DEALER, [XXX] AGAIN ARGUED THE FACT. WE HAVE THREE NISSAN VEHICLES ALL OF WHICH WE ARE NOW SELLING AND WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER NISSAN EVER. ITS A SHAME THAT NISSAN DOES NOT STAND BY THERE PRODUCTS. I ALSO READ WHERE THEY EXTENDED THE WARRANTY FOR THE TRANSMISSION OF THE FRONTIER BECAUSE OF A RADIATOR LEAK THAT MIX WITH THE TRANSMISSION, INSTEAD OF A RECALL ON THE PROBLEM.
