THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG WERE REPLACED BUT THE AIRBAG LIGHT STILL IS BLINKING WHICH COULD CAUSE THE AIRBAG TO EXPLODE.THIS LIGHT HAS BEEN BLINKING FOR OVER 6 YEARS... SHOULD BE UNDER WARRANTY AND FIXED.. THIS APPARENTLY IS A PROBLEM WITH THE WIRING HARNESS IN THE STEERING WHEEL.AS SOON AS I START THE CAR THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS BLINKING CONSTANTLY
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN VERSA. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT FAILED TO RESPOND. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE UP A STEEP HILL, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED TO 25 MPH. NISSAN OF IRVINE (LOCATED AT 32 AUTO CENTER DR, IRVINE, CA 92618, (949) 951-7575) WAS CONTACTED BY PHONE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000.
I RENTED A 2012 VERSA HATCHBACK THIS WEEK. UPON DRIVING THE VEHICLE I DISCOVERED THAT THE TURN SIGNAL INDICATORS WERE NOT WORKING. I REPORTED THIS TO THE RENTAL AGENCY AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS MODEL DOES NOT HAVE INDICATORS. I DROVE THE CAR FOR 3 DAYS AND FOUND THAT IT HAD NO TURN OR HIGH BEAM INDICATORS. THESE ARE BASIC SAFETY DEVICES TO INFORM THE DRIVER OF THE THESE FUNCTIONS. THESE CARS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED ON US ROADWAYS. ACCORDING TO WHAT I READ IN A DOCUMENT PUBLISHED BY THE U. S. DOT THESE ARE REQUIRED, SO I WONDER HOW THESE VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED IN THE U.S. THE DOCUMENT IS PUBLICATION NUMBER TP-108-13. PLEASE ADVISE ABOUT THIS. *TR
MY COMPLAINT IS THAT THE SIDE IMPACT AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AT ALL NOR DID THE DRIVER'S SEAT BELT ENGAGE. THE INCIDENT OCCURRED ON MY USUAL WAY TO WORK. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR THROUGH A T INTERSECTION AND MAKING A LEFT TURN, MY CAR WAS STRUCK BY A SECOND CAR THAT RAN THE RED LIGHT. I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 20 TO 25 MPH. I WAS ABLE TO SLAM ON THE BRAKE BUT NOT MUCH ELSE. THE SECOND CAR IMPACTED THE LEFT SIDE FRONT WHEEL WELL AREA WHICH RESULTED IN INJURIES TO MYSELF AND FRONT PASSENGER. AS STATED IN THE POLICE REPORT, IT HAPPENED AROUND 3:00 PM WITH CLEAR WEATHER AND A DRY ROAD SURFACE. THE CAR WAS BOUGHT NEAR THE END OF MAY OF 2012. *TR
PULLED INTO MY FRIENDS DRIVEWAY...THE CAR WAS RUNNING I BELIEVE IT WAS IN NUETRAL,AND PASSENGER EXITED VEHICLE, AND SLAMMED THE PASSENGER DOOR SHUT, THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED...UPDATED 10/15/15 *BF UPDATED 12/08/2017*CN
ON OCT. 15, 2012, I WAS EXITING THE HIGHWAY AND WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKES, THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR, MAKING A CLICKING NOISE, WITH VERY LITTLE FORCE, THE CAR BARLEY STOPPED, ONLY WHEN ASSISTED BY THE USE OF THE PARKING BRAKE. IT WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER THAT DAY AND I WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND ALL MECHANICAL COMPONENTS WERE IN GOOD SHAPE, AND COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM. THE SAME CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE BEEN REPEATED ON FEB. 13 2012, WITH 19841 MILES AND AGAIN ON OCT. 28 2013, WITH APPROXIMATELY 29000 MILES. THE DEALER CURRENTLY (NOV. 1 2013) HAS THE CAR AND AGAIN SAYS THEY CANNOT LOCATE OR REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN CORPORATE, AND WAS TOLD TO RECEIVE A SECOND OPINION. ANOTHER DEALERSHIP SERVICE MANAGER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THERE WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE ABS CONTROL MODULE FROM ANOTHER MODEL, HOWEVER THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT REPLACE IT BECAUSE(QUOTING FROM A SERVICE ADVISER) "NISSAN ISN'T IN THE HABIT OF THROWING PARTS AT A CAR AND HOPING FOR A RESOLUTION". THE DEALER HAS STATED THAT WITHOUT REPLICATING THE PROBLEM THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. *TR
ON SEPT 29TH AT OR AROUND 3:45PM MY FAMILY AND I WERE DRIVING TO A SWIM MEET ON HIGHWAY 60 IN MESA, AZ. ABOUT 5 MILES INTO THE TRIP I HEARD A HISSING SOUND COMING FROM THE AC SYSTEM AND A MINUTE LATER WE HAD NO AC PUMPING THROUGH. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THAT MONDAY (ASSUMING IT WAS COVERED BY WARRANTY) I WAS TOLD A ROCK HAD HIT THE CONDENSER IN SUCH A WAY THAT IT CAUSED THE SYSTEM TO NEED REPAIR AND THAT WAS NOT COVERED. I ASKED IF THIS WAS A COMMON INCIDENT AND WAS TOLD IT HAS OCCURRED BEFORE. IN FACT IT WAS A DESIGN FLAW. THE DEALERSHIP WAS TO CHARGE 700.00 PLUS. I WAS FLABBERGASTED!!! MY THOUGHTS WERE IF I WAS TO PAY TO HAVE THIS REPAIRED-IT COULD HAPPEN AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. MUCH TO EXPENSIVE A REPAIR TO NOT HAVE SOMEONE MADE AWARE THAT THIS IS WRONG!!! NISSAN SHOULD HAVE A PROTECTIVE SCREEN IN PLACE (OR SOMETHING DONE)TO AVOID THIS IN THE FUTURE OR WARN CONSUMERS OF THIS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN VERSA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A RESIDENTIAL DRIVEWAY, THE VEHICLE SHIFTED OUT OF PARK AND INTO REVERSE INDEPENDENTLY. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE ROLLED AWAY IN REVERSE AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, BUT THEY COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOR THE BODY DAMAGES BUT NOT THE SHIFTING FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE INCIDENT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN VERSA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SIDE AIR BAG SENSORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (ECU) NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC ON FIVE OCCASIONS FOR THE SAME FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ON FOUR OCCASIONS BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT RECTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,901 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 55,000. . ..UPDATED 01-10-14 *BF
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN VERSA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO VEER FROM LEFT TO RIGHT AND BECAME HESITANT. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT NONE OF THE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 7,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN VERSA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH HE ATTEMPTED TO AVOID A VEHICLE WHO HAD CROSSED THE DOUBLE LINES ON THE ROAD. THE FRONT PASSENGER TIRE WENT OFF THE ROAD CAUSING THE CONTACT TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND AS A RESULT, HE CRASHED INTO A SIGN CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO GO AIRBORNE. THE CONTACTS HEAD HIT THE ROOF OF THE VEHICLE SCRAPING THE SKIN OFF THE TOP OF HIS HEAD. THE VEHICLE THEN CRASHED INTO A LARGE DIRT PILE AND A VINYL FENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE DEALER WAS OFFERED THE OPPORTUNITY TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE BUT DID NOT DO SO. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND MAILED THE CONTACT A BROCHURE ON AIR BAGS BUT OFFERED NO OTHER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 10,261..UPDATED 12/05/12 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE HIT THE FOUNDATION OF A HOUSE. THE CONSUMER'S BODY SLAMMED AGAINST THE STEERING WHEEL. THE CONSUMER'S CATHETER WAS DAMAGED DURING THE ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE CRACKED THE HOUSE'S FOUNDATION, DAMAGED THE OIL PIPE AND OIL TANK. UPDATED 12/05/2012 *JS

THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO AVOID CRASHING INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE WHEN HE JUMPED THE CURB TO AND CRASHED INTO A NEARBY CAUTION SIGN. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO TRAVEL AND EVENTUALLY CRASHED INTO A RESIDENTIAL HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A SAVAGE FACILITY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED SEVERE INJURIES TO THE NECK AND HEAD. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED OF THE INCIDENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,201. ... I WAS DRIVING IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE ON WINDSOR AVE. I WAS DRIVING SOUTH AND A TRUCK WAS IN THE LEFT LANE. THE TRUCK CAME OVER ON MY LANE. I TRIED MOVING OVER A LITTLE TO STAY AWAY FROM THE TRUCK, WHEN I DID I JUMPED THE CURB AND HIT A CAUTION SIGN WHICH MADE THE CAR GO UP IN THE AIR. AND WHEN IT CAME DOWN MY FOOT HIT THE GAS PEDAL. AS GOING UP IN THE AIR I HIT MY HEAD, THANK GOD I HAD MY SEAT BELT ON. WHILE TRYING TO CONTROL MY CAR I WENT THROUGH A RESIDENTIAL FENCE, AND THEN HIT A HOUSE AND BROKE THEIR OIL FILL TUBE WHICH CAUSED THE OIL TANK TO LEAK. I ALSO CRACKED THE FOUNDATION OF THE HOUSE. WHEN MY CAR HIT THE HOUSE I WAS IN SUCH SHOCK I HAD BLOOD ON MY HEAD, AND HAD NECK PAIN. THE NEXT FEW DAYS I WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN NOT ONLY BECAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT BUT BECAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT MY MEDICATION PUMP HOSE WAS KINKED, AND IT CAUSED THE PUMP TO SHUT DOWN.WHICH I HAD TO HAVE SURGERY ON SO THEY COULD REPLACE THE PUMP WITH A NEW ONE. I ALSO HAVE TO HAVE SURGERY ON MY NECK. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED IF THE AIR BAGS HAD BEEN DEPLOYED. THERE NEVER WAS A WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASH BOARD BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE HAS BEEN PROBLEMS WITH THESE AIR BAGS. I APPRECIATE YOUR TIME AND HOPE TO HEAR FORM YOU SOON. *TR
(1) THE CAR WAS PARKED, TURNED ON ENGINE, AND ATTEMPTED TO GO IN REVERSE TO PULL OUT OF PARKING LOT; HOWEVER, THE ENGINE JUST REVS. THE GEAR SHIFTS BUT WHEN IN REVERSE NOTHING HAPPENS. HAD TO PUT IN NEUTRAL AND PHYSICALLY PUSH THE CAR TO MOVE IT. I DISMISSED THE PULL I FELT WHILE DRIVING MY NEW NISSAN VERSA SINCE FEB. 2012 AS BEING NEW TO DRIVING ON MOUNTAINOUS ROADS.... BUT AFTER HAVING A MAJOR SCARE THIS WEEKEND WHERE MY STEERING WENT COMPLETELY OUT I AM NOT SURE IF IT IS NOT ALL CONNECTED. WHEN DRIVING I CAN NOT LET MY HANDS OFF THE WHEEL AT ALL WITH OUT IT SIGNIFICANTLY MOVING TOWARDS THE NEXT LANE/CURB. THEN THIS WEEKEND WHEN SITTING IN TRAFFIC (YES IT WAS VERY HOT OUTSIDE) WITH AC ON I TRAVELED A FEW FEET BEYOND THE TRAFFIC LIGHT AND WENT TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN WHEN MY STEERING BECAME SO HARD THAT IT TOOK ALL MY STRENGTH TO KEEP THE CAR FROM COLLIDING WITH SIGNS/OFF ROAD. IT WAS LIKE I LOST POWER STEERING... I GOT IT TO AN EMPTY PARKING LOT NEAR BY AND TURNED THE CAR OFF FOR ABOUT 1 MIN. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AND OIL LIGHT. I RESTARTED THE CAR AND STEERING HAD RETURNED. CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY TOOK ME IN RIGHT AWAY AND "LOOKED AT IT" AND SAID THERE WERE "NO TROUBLE CODES STORED" AND "ELECTRIC POWER STEERING MOTOR MAY HAVE GOT HOT ENOUGH FOR THE CONTROL MODULE TO SHUT IT OFF TO PREVENT DAMAGE". DOES THIS MEAN I CAN'T STEER MY CAR IF IT GETS HOT OUTSIDE??????? I AM A MOTHER AND DON'T FEEL SAFE TRAVELING IN THIS CAR!!!!! I DO NOT FEEL THAT THE DEALERSHIP WAS CONCERNED WITH WHAT HAD HAPPENED. *TR
WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS I STRUCK A DEER IN THE FRONT OF THE CAR CAUSING MAJOR DAMAGE TO THE FRONT OF CAR NO AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT . DAMAGE WAS HOOD, FENDERS, GRILL , BUMPER AND RADIATOR , AC, CONDENSER AND SLIGHT FRAME DAMAGE. *TR
I WAS GIVEN THIS CAR AS A RENTAL. I AM AN EXTREMELY SAFE DRIVER WITH A PERFECT DRIVING RECORD. WITHIN 7-8 MINUTES OF DRIVING THIS VEHICLE THERE WAS A CRASH! I DROVE IN ON THE SAME BUSY STREET THAT THE RENTAL CAR WAS LOCATED AND FROM THE STOP LIGHT THE CAR SWITCHED INTO GEAR AUTOMATICALLY AND THE BRAKES WOULD NOT WORK. THIS CAUSE CAUSED ME TO HIT A CAR FROM BEHIND AND SINCE THE BRAKES WEREN'T WORKING I HYDROPLANED INTO THE BACK OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. ONLY ONE AIRBAG WAS DEPLOYED, THE ONE IN THE HORN..NOT ALL SIX. I SUFFERED A SEVERE CONCUSSION AND HAD TO BE HOSPITALIZED OVERNIGHT. LUCKILY, THE PEOPLE IN THE OTHER VEHICLES WERE FINE. I AM NOW UNDER THE CARE OF A NEUROLOGIST WHO IS DOING TESTS TO HELP DETERMINE WHY I GET FREQUENT MIGRAINES AND MY SHORT TERM MEMORY IS VERY LIMITED AS WELL AS MY BALANCE. I HAVE TO HIT THE CURB TO STOP CAR TIRE DAMGE AND UNDER CAR TO PREVENT HIT A CAR.. I BEEN NOTICE THAT SINCE IBOUGTH MY CAR , I REPORT TO NISSAN THEY SAY IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR .. SOMETIMES I BEEN DRIVING AND CAR ACCELARATE BY HIMSELF , ALSO.. SHOE STOCK IN GAZ PEDAL ..VERY DANGEROUS .. BECAUSE CANT BRAKE .!!. *TR
THE VEHICLE SEEMS TO EXPERIENCE HIGH FREQUENCY GAS PEDAL VIBRATION THAT IS FELT ONLY BETWEEN 2500 - 3000 RPM AT ANY SPEED AS LONG AS IN THIS RPM RANGE THE VIBRATION CAN BE ALSO FELT IN THE BRAKE PEDAL WITHOUT APPLYING THE BRAKES IN THE SAME RPM RANGE SINCE THERE IS ONE BRACKET FOR ACCELERATOR AND BRAKE. NO VIBRATION DURING BRAKE APPLICATION. THE DEALER TESTED THE CAR AND STATED THAT ANOTHER NEW 2012 VERSA HAS THE SAME ISSUE AND WILL NOT CONTINUE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM SINCE IT IS A WASTE OF TIME. THE PROBLEM CAUSES UNCOMFORTABLE PULSATION THAT RESULTS LOOSING FEELING IN MY FOOT AT THAT ENGINE SPEED. I HAD BEEN AN ASE CERTIFIED MASTER TECHNICIAN AND I NEVER EXPERIENCE VIBRATION IN THE GAS PEDAL AS AN SYMPTOM IN ANY OF MY COMPLAINTS. AFTER LOOKING AT THE BRAKE AND GAS PEDAL BRACKET IT SEEMS THE BRACKET CAN FLEX TO ANY SIDES WITH LITTLE EFFORT BUT WILL STAY STABLE IN DIRECTION OF THE PEDALS TRAVEL. THE BRACKET DOES NOT SEEM TO BE DAMAGE JUST POOR DESIGN TO HOLD RIGIDITY TO SIDE MOTION. I AM NOT SURE IF THE BRACKET IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM OR OTHER SOURCE IS TRANSMITTING VIBRATION. HOWEVER, I THINK THERE SHOULD BE NO SIDE MOTION SINCE THE ASSEMBLY CAN FAIL DUE TO MATERIAL FATIGUE OVER TIME. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION MOUNTS HAD BEEN CHECKED BY MYSELF AND THE DEALER. *TR
2012 NISSAN VERSA. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO SEVERAL ISSUES WITH VEHICLE AND QUALITY *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE DEFROSTER WAS A MAJOR CONCERN. IN ORDER TO TURN ON THE DEFROSTER, HE MUST TURN THE KNOB TO DEFROST, BUT ALSO SLIDE THE HORIZONTAL SWITCH UNDERNEATH THE DASH TO DEFROST AS WELL. THEN, HE HAD TO TURN THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE VENTS TOWARD THE GLASS, ALL WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE. THE DEFROSTER WORKED FAIR AT BEST. IT ONLY ELIMINATED ABOUT HALF THE FOG ON THE FRONT WINDSHIELD AND NONE ON THE REAR WINDSHIELD AND SIDE WINDOWS. HALF THE TIME, WHEN THE CONSUMER ATTEMPTED TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE, THE KEY DID NOT WANT TO COME OUT OF THE IGNITION. HE WOULD HAVE TO JIGGLE THE KEY AND THE SHIFT KNOB TO GET THE KEY OUT. THE AUTO DOOR LOCKS DID NOT UNLOCK WHEN HE PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TURNED OFF IN ORDER FOR THE AUTO DOORS TO UNLOCK. ALSO, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD EMIT A LOUD BANG, WHEN THE CONSUMER PUT THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE. *JB

IT DEACTIVATES THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WHEN THERE IS AN ADULT SITTING THERE. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES. THEY CALIBRATED THE SEAT AND THE PROBLEM REMAINED. THEY ASKED ME TO TAKE MY WIFE THERE, WHICH I DID. MY WIFE SAT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AND THE AIRBAG WAS DEACTIVATED (FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF LIGHT CAME ON). THEN THEY ASKED HER TO SIT IN ANOTHER BRAND NEW NISSAN VERSA 2012 AND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WAS DEACTIVATED TOO. THE DEALER SAID THE VEHICLE WAS WITHIN SPECIFICATION AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO AND SUGGESTED THAT I CALL NISSAN. I THEN CALLED THE NISSAN CONSUMER HOTLINE AND THEY SAID THE THRESHOLD FOR THE SYSTEM TO DEACTIVATE THE AIRBAG IS 90-100 POUNDS. THIS IS THE WRONG WEIGHT BECAUSE THERE ARE SMALL ADULTS, SUCH AS MY WIFE, WHO WEIGH LESS THAN THE THRESHOLD AND THAT CAUSES THE PASSENGER AIRBAG TO TURN OFF. THE NISSAN CONSUMER HOTLINE SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO EITHER. THIS WAS ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO. FOR REFERENCE, HONDA CIVIC HAS A THRESHOLD OF 65 POUNDS WHICH IS MORE REASONABLE AND WOULD CORRECTLY CLASSIFY AN OCCUPANT AS A CHILD OR AN ADULT. WHEN I SAW THE NEWS IN MARCH 2014 THAT NISSAN IS RECALLING ABOUT ONE MILLION VEHICLES FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM I CALLED NISSAN AND THEY TOLD ME MY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL CAMPAIGN. THE CAR SEEMS TO HAVE VERY LOOSE STEERING OR IS REALLY OUT OF ALIGNMENT. FEELS LIKE I AM BEING BUFFETED BY A STRONG WIND. THE STEERING WHEEL DOESN'T MOVE, BUT THE CAR PULLS LEFT AND RIGHT. ON THE EXACT SAME ROADS, WITH THE SAME WEATHER CONDITIONS, AND AT APPROXIMATELY THE SAME SPEEDS; WHEN PUSHING THE BRAKES WITH THE USUAL AMOUNT OF PRESSURE REQUIRED TO STOP BY A CERTAIN DISTANCE, THE BRAKES WILL SOMETIMES NOT FUNCTION AS USUAL REQUIRING YOU TO BRAKE HARD IN ORDER TO STOP IN TIME. THE EXTERIOR SIDE REAR VIEW MIRRORS ARE NOT WIDE ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO SEE MOST VEHICLES INCLUDING LARGE SUV'S ETC, IN THE LANES ON EITHER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS WILL BE A CONSTANT PROBLEM UNTIL THE MIRRORS ARE REPLACED OR I REPLACE THE CAR WITH ANOTHER BRAND.THIS ISSUE HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR CAUSING ACCIDENTS AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. WHILE ALL CARS HAVE BLIND SPOTS, THE BLIND SPOTS FOR THIS CAR ARE ESPECIALLY SEVERE AND DANGEROUS DUE TO THE EXTERIOR SIDE REAR VIEW MIRRORS BEING TOO SMALL FOR VEHICLES TO BE SEEN IN. NISSAN IS SOMEWHAT AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE FOR THE 2015 MODEL YEAR, NISSAN HAS ENLARGED THESE EXTERIOR SIDE REARVIEW MIRRORS SO THAT VEHICLES IN LANES ALONGSIDE THE VERSA CAN NOW BE MORE EASILY BE SEEN WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I FEEL NISSAN SHOULD HAVE TO RECALL THE 2012-2014 VERSAS AND REPLACE THE EXISTING REVIEW EXTERIOR MIRRORS WITH THE LARGER MIRRORS THAT ARE NOW ON THE 2015-2016 VERSAS.

EVERYTIME I GO TO THE EXPRESSWAY I HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT THERE ISN'T A CAR ANY CLOSE TO BE ABLE TO ENTER BECAUSE WHEN YOU TRY TO SPEED A BIT, IT RESTRAIN ITSELF AND I ALREADY GOT SCARED WITH THIS EXPERIENCE. EVEN WHEN YOU ARE IN THE CITY AND YOU TRY TO SPEED A BIT TO CHANGE LANE, YOU CAN FEEL THAT IN MOST OF THE CASES IT WON'T LET YOU DO IT INMEDIATELY.
