2012 NISSAN VERSA HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. MY MOTHER AND FATHER WERE DRIVING MY VEHICLE AND THE CAR KEPT JERKING LAGGED WHEN CHANGING GEAR. MY MOTHER WAS SCARED BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T KNOW IF THE CAR WAS GOING TO STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY OR JERK WHEN SHE PRESSED THE GAS. NISSAN IS WELL AWARE THAT IT'S CARS HAVE ISSUES AND THEY HAVE EXTENDED WARRANTIES BECAUSE OF A LAWSUIT ON SOME VEHICLES BEFORE 2012 BUT HAVE NOT EXTENDED IT FOR MORE RECENT VEHICLES WHICH ARE HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AGAINST NISSAN REGARDING THIS AND I HAVE RECENTLY JOINED THAT LAWSUIT.
WHILE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE ON A BUSY CITY STREET AT 7:00 AM THE CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED RUNNING AND WOULD NOT RESTART IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRAVEL LANE FOR NO REASON WHAT SO EVER REQUIRING A TOW, WITH OVER HALF A TANK OF GAS, AND PLENTY OF FLUIDS ALL THE WAY AROUND. THE CAR HAS BEEN MAINTAINED SO THE ENGINE SHOULD NOT HAVE CUT OFF LIKE THIS.
CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED RUNNING WHILE DRIVING, CAUSING ME TO ALMOST GET REAR ENDED 3 TIMES. SHOP ADV THE FUEL PUMP BURNT THE FUSE OUT CAUSING THE THE CAR TO LOOSE POWER AND DIE. THE 15 AMP FUSE WAS BURNT OUT 2 TIMES IN 12 MONTHS OR LESS THE FIRST TIME WAS CITY STREETS THE SECOND TIME WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH. BOT TIMES TIME I WAS IN MOTION.

ONE MONTH LATER WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MILES PER HOUR AN ADDITIONAL P0101 OBDDII CODE WAS TRIGGERED. AGAIN CODE WAS VERIFIED WITH SAME MODEL CODE READER. CODE WAS CLEARED AND THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR WAS REPLACED WITH AN AFTERMARKET DELPHI SENSOR PART# AF10141 BY A INDEPENDENT CAR MECHANIC. MILEAGE WAS 52300 AT SENSOR CHANGE. OVER THE LIFETIME OF THE VEHICLE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS WERE MADE TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP MECHANICS AT VAN NUYS NISSAN OF ROUGH IDLE AT SPEEDS BELOW 40 MILES PER HOUR AND IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE SMOOTHLY AT LOW SPEEDS WHEN PURCHASED. DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT INVESTIGATE OR RESOLVE ISSUE. REPLACEMENT OF MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR CORRECTED CONDITION.

DRIVING HOME FROM GROCERY STORE DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS, ENGINE CHECK LIGHT CAME ON. I WENT TO MEINEKE TO HAVE CODE DETERMINED. STORE MANAGER CHECKED MY CAR FOR CODE, HE FOUND CODE IS 007 AND IT WILL COST ME OVER $400 TO REPAIR. I SHOULD NOT DRIVE THE AUTO UNTIL IT GETS REPAIRED. THIS PART SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE WITH LOW MILEAGE AND AGE OF VEHICLE! HE SAID CAR WILL DISABLE IF I DRIVE IT BECAUSE IT IS DANGEROUS IF IT DISABLES WHILE DRIVING! I HAVE DRS APPTS TO GO TO AND CANNOT BE WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO DRIVE IT! IS THIS A RECALL FOR THIS PART? BROUGHT THE CAR IN AUGUST 2011. AT EVERY SERVICE I WOULD REPORT OF KNOCKING NOISE AS IF THE CAR WAS IN NEED OF OIL. I WAS REPEATEDLY TOLD THAT THERE IS/WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. AGAIN IN DECEMBER 2013, MILEAGE WAS 17,000 I COMPLAINED (VERY LOUDLY) ABOUT THE NOISE.... ONE OF THE TECH'S TOOK IT FOR A HARD TEST DRIVE AND BLOW UP THE ENGINE. THEY SAID MY ENGINE WAS GONE AND THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE IT WHICH THEY DID DO. THE ONLY THING I HAVE TO ASK SHOULD THE WARRANTY START OVER? I COPIED AND PASTED THIS BUT ADDED MY OWN STUFF TO IT! NISSAN VERSA 2012. THIS IS MY SECOND CVT TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT. I RECEIVED THE FIRST TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT IN DECEMBER 2013 AND IT HAS BROKEN AGAIN IN MAY 2014. THE VEHICLE GOT STUCK IN GEAR AND WOULD NOT SHIFT. IT ACCELERATED AND DECELERATED WITHOUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL. THE VEHICLE MADE FRONT END NOISES AND POPS LIKE IT WAS GOING TO FALL APART. IT'S VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE AIRBAG AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS CAME ON. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER AND GOT THE RUN AROUND. DON' T KNOW WHAT CAUSED THE PROBLEMS AND NEED MORE TIME TO RUN TEST. THE SECOND TRANSMISSION IS UNDER WARRANTY AND THE DEALER GAVE ME EVERY EXCUSE TO NOT FIX MY CAR. I WAS TOLD, BY THE DEALER, AFTER SEVEN DAYS OF WAITING ON REPAIRS, THAT THEY (DEALER) WERE WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM NISSAN HEADQUARTERS TO RUN TEST. FIX MY VEHICLE AND RUN ALL THE TEST YOU WANT BUT NOT AT MY SACRIFICE. THE DEALER SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT HELP ME WITH A RENTAL UNTIL NISSAN GAVE THE DEALER AN ANSWER AS FAR AS WHAT TEST TO RUN AND IF TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE, WHICH IS UNDER WARRANTY. THE DEALER JUST SAID, SORRY BUT WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING. IT WASN'T UNTIL NINE DAYS LATER THAT THE DEALER GAVE ME A RENTAL CAR, ONLY, AFTER MY DAD LIT THE FIRE. I WAS INCONVENIENCED GETTING OFF WORK, VERY LATE HOURS, WITH NO TRANSPORTATION. I INFORMED THE DEALER ABOUT MY LATE NIGHT DANGEROUS EXPERIENCES. IT SHOULD NOT TAKE, LET'S SEE, I'M ON DAY TWELVE AS OF THIS COMPLAINT TO FIX A WARRANTY PROBLEM. THESE CVT TRANSMISSIONS HAVE BEEN A LONG, ONGOING PROBLEM WITH NISSAN. THIS IS A NIGHTMARE FOR ALL NISSAN OWNERS AND NISSAN SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR KNOWING ABOUT THESE ISSUES AND IGNORING THEIR ISSUES. NISSAN PUTS THE BLAME ON THE CAR OWNERS SO THAT THEY CAN PAY. I HAD MY CAR TOWED TO NISSAN OF CHANTILLY AFTER THE ENGINE DIED THE DAY BEFORE AFTER IT STOPPED RUNNING IN THE MIDDLE OF BROADLANDS BLVD, BUT I MANAGED TO GET IT STARTED JUST ENOUGH GET IT TO A PARKING LOT. THEY HAVE CONTACTED ME ONLY ONCE DURING THE ENTIRE TIME THAT THEY HAVE HAD THE CAR. I CONTACTED THEM ON THE 15TH OF NOVEMBER TO BE TOLD THAT THE ENGINE HAD TO BE REPLACED, BUT THEY HAVE NOT INSTALLED IT THOUGH THEY HAVE BEEN AUTHORIZED BY NISSAN, BECAUSE THEY ARE HAVING ENGINEERS COMING TO ASSES THE ENGINE TO FIND OUT WHY IT STOPPED WORKING, THIS APPEARS TO BE A DELIBERATE ATTEMPT TO KEEP FROM REPAIRING AND ACCEPTING OWNERSHIP THAT THE ENGINE WAS DEFECTIVE AND KEEPING ME OUT OF THE LOOP. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS' AND FILED A COMPLAINT REQUESTING TO HAVE A NEW CAR AS THE DEVALUATION OF THE CAR AND NOT KNOWING WHAT HAS OCCURRED OVER THE LAST MONTH AND A HALF BETWEEN THE DEALERSHIP AND NISSAN. I'M NOT EVEN SURE IF THE ENGINE WILL ACTUALLY BE NEW OR REFURBISHED WHICH MAY IMPACT THE LONGEVITY OF THE CAR AND COULD BE VERY WELL BE A SAFETY HAZARD IF THESE ENGINES ARE DEFECTIVE AND MAY BE A PART OF HIDDEN DEFECT ISSUE BETWEEN THE DEALERSHIP(S) AND NISSAN. *TR
