TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE PARKED, HE NOTICED THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN ENGAGING THE BRAKES. IN ADDITION, THE BRAKE LIGHTS ILLUMINATED INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT PRESSURE BEING APPLIED TO THE BRAKES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 09V036000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING), HOWEVER THE CONTACT'S VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
THE STEERING WHEEL SEEMED TO BE JERKING AND SHAKING. WHILE LEAVING THE STORE, I WAS TURNING RIGHT WHEN I HEARD A BELL SOUND AND ON THE DISPLAY PANEL IT READ "POWER STEERING". I TRIED TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL BUT IT WOULD BARELY MOVE. STEERING WHEEL FEELS LIKE IT IS LOCKED UP. I HAD TO DRIVE HOME VERY CAREFULLY TO KEEP FROM HAVING AN ACCIDENT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED, CAUSING THE CONTACT TO MERGE OUT OF THEIR LANE. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE COULD BE RELATED TO A MODULE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 88,500.
CID LIGHT CHIMES INDICATING POWER STEERING AND CHECK GAS CAP. TOOK CAR TO DEALER REQUIRES MODULE TO BE REPLACED COST 600.00. SPOKE TO PONTIAC MY VIN WAS NOT IDENTIFIED AS PART OF A RECALL BECAUSE THE RECALL WAS FROM A SPECIFIC PLANT THAT BUILT THE STEERING COLUMN. I WOULD THINK THAT ALL SPECIFICATIONS WERE PROVIDED AND BUILT THE SAME WAY. I HAVE BEEN READING A LOT OF THE OTHER COMPLAINTS WITH REGARDS TO THE POWER STEERING ON YOUR WEB SIGHT AND DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS ISN'T BEING ADDRESSED BY PONTIAC. I BELIEVE CANADA ISSUED A RECALL WHY HAVEN'T WE (USA). I WAS TOLD THAT I CAN PAY FOR THE REPAIRS AND GET REIMBURSED IF THERE IS A RECALL. I CAN'T AFFORD NOR DO I THINK I SHOULD PAY TO GET AN IMPORTANT YET DEFECTIVE PIECE OF EQUIPMENT REPLACED IN THE VEHICLE I PURCHASED USED. IT COST 99.00 FOR THE ASSESSMENT THAT IS NOT REFUNDABLE. I SEE THAT THE IS A RECALL THAT YOU ARE REQUESTING TO EXPAND IN REGARDS TO THE PONTIAC G6 PERHAPS THE POWER STEERING OR SHOULD I SAY MANUAL STEERING SINCE THAT IS WHAT MY VEHICLE IS AT THE PRESENT TIME. *TR
AS I WAS COMING UP TO A STOP LIGHT I HEARD THE WARNING CHIMES ,LOOKED AT THE RADIO AND IT READ POWER STEERING.. I HEARD A POP AND THEN COULD NOT TURN THE WHEEL AT ALL.. LUCKILY I HAD THE RED LIGHT OR I COULD HAVE HAD A MAJOR WRECK SINCE I WAS PULLING ONTO A MAJOR HIGHWAY! TURNED THE CAR OFF AND LIKE MAGIC... THE STEERING RETURNED. THE ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM FAILS INTERMITTENTLY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AS THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO INSPECTED THE STEERING COMPONENT AND WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE A FAILURE WITH THE POWER STEERING. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE BUT EACH TIME THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE A FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT EACH TIME THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD RETURN TO NORMAL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
I WAS ATTENDING MY AUNTS FUNERAL IN HACKENSACK, NJ. I RESIDE IN MARYLAND, SO ITS ABOUT A 5 HOUR DRIVE FOR ME. HALF WAY THERE, MY SISTER CALLED ME AND ASKED WHY WAS I RIDING MY BRAKES. I TOLD HER, I WAS NOT RIDING MY BREAKS. SHE INFORMS ME THAT MY BRAKE LIGHTS FLASH ALL THE TIME. I COULD NOT BELIEVE HER. COMING HOME FROM THE FUNERAL, WE WITNESSED THE SAME THING. THEN SEVERAL DAYS LATER, I COULD NOT GET THE CAR OUT OF PARK. I HAD TO SIT AT FOODLION FOR ABOUT TWENTY MINUTES, BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR IN GEAR. I CALLED GM 800-620-7668 AND TRIED TO ISSUE A COMPLAINT. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO RECALL. BUT I HAPPEN TO SEE THIS ISSUE ALL OVER THE INTERNET. MY ISSUE IS STILL OCCURRING, AGAIN I CALLED GM AND I WAS BRUSHED OFF. I FEEL THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE CORRECTED BY GM AND NOT MY BANK ACCOUNT. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY STATED THAT THE MODULE CENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A DRIVER OF ANOTHER VEHICLE NOTIFIED HER THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, AN ABNORMAL GRINDING NOISE WAS EMITTED FROM THE VEHICLE. AS THE CONTACT APPROACHED A TURN, HE REALIZED THAT THE POWER STEERING ASSIST HAD FAILED. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ALSO ILLUMINATED AS THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY THE CONTACT'S FATHER WHO WAS A MECHANIC AND CONCLUDED THAT THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 10V073000 (STEERING:ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM), WHICH INCLUDED THE PONTIAC G5 MODEL, BUT NOT THE G6 MODEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 88,000.
I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS SINCE BUYING THIS CAR USED IN 2010. HAVE HAD THE FRONT END TIE RODS, STRUTS REPLACED AND NOW THE POWER STEERING IS ACTING UP. I WAS DRIVING 40 MPH AND THE CAR STARTED TO SHAKE AND THE POWER STEERING LIGHT WENT ON , AND STEERING WENT OUT. WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER INTO A PARKING LOT. I TURNED CAR OFF AND THEN BACK ON AND POWER RESTORED. I KNOW IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN BASED ON ALL THE OTHER COMPLAINTS. THIS PROBLEM IS VERY SERIOUS AND COULD CAUSE A MAJOR ACCIDENT AND THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM. *TR
PLASTIC RETURN ON FUEL PUMP MODULE CRACKED LEAKING FUEL ON GROUND AND NEAR EXHAUST. THIS APEARS TO BE RELATED TO RECALL NUMBER 12190 THAT WAS ANNOUNCED 9/30/2012. WHEN I TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIR, THE DEALER COULD FIND NO ACTIVE RECALL. I TOOK PICTURES OF THE DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP MODULE AT THE DEALER GARAGE. *TR
REPORT FROM DRIVER BEHIND US AT TRAFFIC LIGHT INDICATED THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS WERE ON WHEN MOVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY BUT WENT OFF WHEN STOPPING AT TRAFFIC LIGHT. CLOSE CALL AT TRAFFIC LIGHT A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE WHEN NEARLY HIT FROM BEHIND. DRIVER MISSED US BY DRIVING OFF OF THE ROAD ONTO BURM. *TR
I WAS TRAVELING DOWN A 4 LANE HIGHWAY WHEN MY STEERING WHEEL BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO TURN AND A WARNING LIGHT CAME ON THE DISPLAY. THE CAR HAS ELECTRONIC POWER ASSIST STEERING AND I AM ASSUMING IT HAS FAILED. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AN COULD HAVE EASILY CAUSED A ACCIDENT BUT I WAS ABLE TO GET IT OFF THE ROAD. *TR
DRIVERS HEADLIGHT WENT OUT. REPLACED BULB. 3 DAYS LATER BULB OUT AGAIN. TOOK BACK GOT NEW BULB. 3 WEEKS LATER PASS HEADLIGHT WENT OUT. TOOK FOR REPLACEMENT BULB. 1 WEEK LATER BULB ON PASSENGER WENT OUT AGAIN. GOT ANOTHER REPLACEMENT. 2 WEEKS LATER, DRIVERS SIDE WENT OUT AGAIN THEN CAME BACK ON NEXT DAY. TOOK TO MECHANIC WHO SAID THERE ARE MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH THE WIRING HARNESS ON THESE CARS. TAKE TO A GM DEALER. I NOW HAVE NO HEAD LIGHTS AT ALL AND GM WILL NOT BACK THE ISSUE SAYING IT IS NOT A "SAFETY ISSUE". HOW CAN NO HEADLIGHTS NOT BE A SAFETY ISSUE. WHAT IF THEY GO OUT WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING AT NIGHT? I HAVE READ ON GM FORUMS THERE IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE. THE WIRING HARNESS IS FAULTY AND THE HEADLIGHT CONNECTOR MELTS. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 63,000. FAMILY NOTICED A VERY STRONG ODOR OF FUEL COMING FROM THE VEHICLE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY. INSIDE THE CAR, THE SMELL WAS LESS STRONG, BUT STILL NOTICEABLE. IN TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE FOUND BOTH A FUEL LEAK AND A COOLANT LEAK AND REPAIRED BOTH. WHEN I TOOK BACK THE VEHICLE, I COULD STILL SMELL IT AND THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT WAS RESIDUAL. AFTER A WEEK, THE SMELL WAS JUST AS STRONG AND I RETURNED IT. THEY WASHED THE UNDERCARRIAGE AND SAID THAT WOULD DO IT. IT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. I RETURNED IT AND THEY DROPPED OUT THE FUEL TANK (AND FORGOT TO REATTACH IT!), BUT STATED THEY STILL COULD NOT FIND THE SOURCE. THEY WASHED IT AGAIN AND SAID IT WAS THE BEST THEY COULD DO. I RESEARCHED THE PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT PONTIAC'S FUEL PUMP. I NOTICED THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH MULTIPLE YEAR MODELS (RECALL 09V-419), BUT NOT 2006 (YET). ACCORDING TO OUR RESEARCH AND CONTACT WITH GM THE 2006 G6 HAS NOT BEEN ADDED TO THE CURRENT RECALL 09V-419. I AM SURPRISED THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT LOOK FOR THIS PROBLEM SPECIFICALLY, BUT APPARENTLY, IT IS A LOT OF WORK TO GET TO THE FUEL PUMP AREA. PLEASE ADD 2006 TO THE RECALL! *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2006 PONTIAC G6. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE UNTIL AFTER APPROXIMATELY FIVE MINUTES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR REPAIRS THREE TIMES BEFORE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD BE DIAGNOSED. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE MAIN COMPUTER CHIP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
THE CAR STARTED SMELLING LIKE GAS AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND FOUND OUT THE FUEL PUMP WAS LEAKING. IT COST ME $911.53 TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP WITH 19179818 W-MODULE KIT. I CALLED THE GM RECALL CLAIM DEPARTMENT, BUT THEY SAID THERE IS NO RECALL FOR MY CAR. I ASKED THEM TO REVIEW THIS PROBLEM AND IT IS THE SAME PROBLEM THEY ARE HAVING WITH THE OTHER SIMILAR CAR. *TR
THE PONTIAC G6 HAS A FAULTY POWER STEERING SYSTEM THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. THERE SHOULD BE A REINVESTIGATION INTO THIS MATTER. THIS IS A DANGEROUS DEFECT. WHILE IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO DRIVE AT LOW RATES OF SPEED IT WILL RANDOMLY TAKE OFF TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT WHILE DRIVING AT NORMAL SPEEDS. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS WHEN GOING AROUND CURVES. MINE TOOK ME OFF THE ROAD AND INTO THE MEDIAN. ALSO, IT WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING THROUGH THE PARKING GARAGE AND I NEARLY CRASHED INTO A CONCRETE PILON BECAUSE THE STEERING WHEEL WAS SNATCHED OUT OF MY HANDS WHEN THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILED. THIS IS CAR IS VERY DANGEROUS CONTRARY TO THE PREVIOUS INVESTIGATION. THIS CAR NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. *TR
POWER STEERING WAS LOST, LIGHT ON DISPLAY STATED CHECK POWER STEERING. WAS INFORMED BY A MECHANIC THAT I WOULD NEED TO REPLACE THE STEERING COLUMN. I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE CRASHED IT SO I COULD HAVE SUED PONTIAC FOR NOT RECALLING THIS ISSUE CONSIDERING IT IS WELL KNOW IT'S A DEFECT IN THEIR 2005-2006 G6'S. *TR
BRAKE LIGHTS ARE DEFECTIVE. WORKING IN REVERSE ORDER! LIGHTS ARE ILLUMINATED WHEN NOT PRESSING BRAKE. AND ARE OFF WHEN PRESSING BRAKES. IT IS HAZARDOUS! *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY STATED THAT THE STEERING COLUMN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
FUEL PUMP HAS A CRACK IN THE TOP AND IS LEAKING FUEL WHILE CAR IS RUNNING OR NOT RUNNING. VERY DANGERUOS DEFECT. *TR
MY PONTIAC G6 WAS RUNNING PERFECTLY FINE WITH NO LIGHTS OR WARNING SIGNS AND ALWAYS WELL MAINTAINED TO DATE. I PULLED UP TO A RED LIGHT AND THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND MY CAR WOULD NOT MOVE IN DRIVE IT WOULD ONLY REV. I WAS ABLE TO PUT IT IN TRIP TRONIC SHIFT AND MAKE IT TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP. IT WAS SLIPPING ALSO IN TRIP TRONIC IN FIRST AND SECOND. THE REPAIR PLACES SAID THAT IT WAS INTERNAL TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. MY ONLY OPTION WAS TO GET A WHOLE NEW TRANSMISSION PUT IN WELL A REBUILT ONE. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING TO A 6 YEAR OLD CAR THAT WAS WELL MAINTAINED WITH NO WARNING SIGNS. I TALKED TO SEVERAL PEOPLE AT GM HEADQUARTERS AND THEY JUST DON'T CARE AND ACT LIKE ITS MY FAULT THERE BANKRUPT PONTIAC COMPANY PRODUCED UNWORTHY RELIABLE CARS. AND DIXIE GM WHERE I TOOK IT TO GET FIXED WANTS TO RIP ME OFF AND CHARGED ME DOUBLE OF WHAT OTHER TRANSMISSION PLACES IN THE AREA QUOTED ME. I TOOK IT THERE BECAUSE I THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE HONEST AND GIVE UPFRONT ANSWER AND NOT JACK ME AROUND BECAUSE IM A YOUNG WOMEN. ITS NOT AS IF I WENT TO MCDONALDS AND ASKED FOR A STEAK. COME ON GM I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WERE BETTER THAN THIS!! *TR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY CURRENT RECALLS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A MECHANIC FOR INSPECTION WHERE THEY STATED THAT THERE WAS A LEAK ON TOP OF THE FUEL TANK, WHICH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BUT ASSISTANCE WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
EVERYTHING ELECTRICAL IS SHOT. IT STARTED ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO..ONE BY ONE, EVERYTHING IN THE CAR (ELECTRICAL) STOPPED WORKING. SUCH AS.. 1. POWER LOCK FOR THE DOORS DOESN'T WORK 2. TRUNK RELEASE BUTTON DOESN'T OPEN THE TRUNK 3. CAR ALARM WOULD GO OFF EVERY TIME I OPENED THE DOOR (AS THE DOOR WAS UNLOCKED) 4. AIR CONDITIONING STOPPED WORKING 5. BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD ILLUMINATE WHILE DRIVING, AND WOULD GO OFF WHEN I WOULD BRAKE. 6. BRAKE LIGHTS WOULDN'T ILLUMINATE AT ALL SOMETIMES. 7. HEADLIGHTS AND/OR TAILLIGHTS WOULD GO OUT, OR DIM RANDOMLY 8. PUSH-LOCK BUTTON ON EACH DOOR WOULD GO UP AND DOWN (BY ITSELF) AS I WOULD BE DRIVING, OR WHEN THE CAR WAS PARKED. (COULDN'T LOCK MY CAR DOORS) BECAUSE OF THE EXTERIOR LIGHTING ISSUES, I WAS PULLED OVER TWICE. I ALSO HAD MY CAR REPAIRED A COUPLE TIMES (MECHANIC EVEN CALLED PONTIAC FOR ASSISTANCE). AFTER THE CAR WAS FIXED, (IF POSSIBLE), THE LIGHTS WOULD STOP PROPERLY WORKING AGAIN, SHORTLY AFTER BEING 'REPAIRED' . EVENTUALLY, I STOPPED DRIVING THE CAR. I HAVEN'T DRIVEN THE CAR SINCE FEBRUARY, 2014 (5 MONTHS). I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO CONTINUOUSLY GET THE CAR FIXED (TO PASS INSPECTION), OR PAY FOR SAFETY VIOLATIONS. THEREFORE, I HAVEN'T HAD A CAR TO DRIVE FOR 5 MONTHS. I HAD RECEIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL (PRIOR TO THE RECALL LETTER IN JUNE 2014) STATING THERE WAS A DEFAULT WITH THE POWER STEERING. I CALLED THE NUMBER TWICE. AT FIRST, I WAS TOLD MY CAR ISSUES WERE NOT RELEVANT TO THE DEFAULT. THE SECOND TIME, (PROBABLY A COUPLE MONTHS LATER) I WAS TOLD THAT MY CAR WAS NOW OVER THE MILEAGE TO BE COVERED BY THE WARRANTY (STATED IN THE LETTER), AND THEREFORE IT VOIDED MY ELIGIBILITY TO HAVE THE REPAIRED BY THEM. *TR
BRAKE LIGHTS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, HAVE TO PRESS BRAKE PEDAL EXTREMELY HARD TO GET OUT OF PARK, AND CRUISE CONTROL NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY AS WELL. BRAKE LIGHTS ILLUMINATE WHENEVER THEY WANT TO. MY CAR IS GARAGE KEPT AND LIGHTLY DRIVEN WITH VERY LOW MILES. MY SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON AND I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ABOUT STEERING ISSUES SO I SCHEDULED SERVICE 07/19/2012 @ WRIGHT AUTO GROUP 15090-9303. THEY REPLACED THE STEERING COLUMN BUT AFTER A MONTH IT BEGAN TO BE HARD TO TURN WHEEL, ESPECIALLY AT A STAND STILL SO I MADE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT ON 09/26/2012 AND THEY REPLACED POWER STEERING MOTOR AND MODULE. IT WORKED FINE BUT AS TIME WENT ON IT BEGAN TO PRODUCE A KNOCK. AFTER MAKING A TURN, THE COLUMN KNOCKS WHEN IT IS WINDING BACK LEFT OR RIGHT TURNS. I LEFT IT GO A WHILE BUT IT BEGAN TO KNOCK MORE SO I MADE APPOINTMENT ON 07/29/2014. THEY NEVER EVEN CHECKED THE STEERING AND CALLED ME TELLING ME MY BACK ROTORS NEED SANDED, TIE ROD NEEDS REPLACED, AND THEY BROKE MY STUD OF THE WHEEL CLAIMING I NEEDED A NEW HUB. I QUESTIONED THE STEERING KNOCK, THEY SAID, THEY START AT THE BRAKES AND REPLACE ANY PROBLEMS THEN CONTINUE CHECKING IF PROBLEM IS NOT RESOLVED. ALSO STATED THE COLUMN THEY REPLACED PER ORIGINAL RECALL WAS ONLY WARRANTED 1 YEAR. THEY ALREADY CHARGED LABOR FOR INSPECTION AND SAID I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM TO INSPECT THIS PART. I HAVE A REGULAR MECHANIC SO I TOOK THE CAR TO HIM. HE REPLACED THE TIE ROD PER MY REQUEST BUT DIDN'T FEEL IT NEEDED REPLACED. HE WELDED A STUD ON SAVING ME FROM A NEW HUB. HE REPLACED THE BRAKES AND ROTORS. HE ADVISED TO REPLACE INSTEAD OF SANDING. HE THINKS THE KNOCK IS FROM THE COLUMN THEY REPLACED BUT SINCE IT WAS A GM PROBLEM, HE TOLD ME A GM DEALER NEEDS TO CHECK IT. MY CAR STEERED FINE WITH NO ISSUES BUT THE LIGHT CAME AND I RECEIVED THIS RECALL. IT HAS NEVER BEEN RIGHT SINCE AND A KNOCK AFTER TURNING IS NOT NORMAL. WITH THE CAR SITTING IN PARK, TURN THE WHEEL RIGHT OR LEFT, IT KNOCKS WHEN YOU LET THE WHEEL GO. I FEAR THIS COULD BE UNSAFE AND DO TO A FAULTY REPLACED PART FROM A RECALL. *TR

FOUND OUT GM TOTALLY REDESIGNED THE SEAT AND SENSOR MODULE AND CONNECTOR. THIS SYSTEM IS OF POOR DESIGN AND COULD HAVE RESULTED FATALITY IF INVOLVED IN A CRASH. *TR

THE PASSENGER HEADLIGHT SEEMS TO HAVE A SHORT OR FAULTY WIRING. THE BULB WAS REPLACED AND BLEW OUT TWO DAYS LATER. THEN THE LIGHT SOCKET WAS REPLACED AND IN THE PROCESS OF REPLACING IT, MY MECHANIC TESTED THE WIRES AND REALIZED THAT THERE IS NO POWER GETTING TO THE WIRES. *TR
