TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHTS REMAINED ILLUMINATED WHEN THE BRAKES WERE NOT ENGAGED. IN ADDITION, THE BRAKE LIGHTS STOPPED ILLUMINATING WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO HAVE THE FAILURE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
THE BACK DOORS OF MY VEHICLE WON'T LOCK OR UNLOCK AUTOMATICALLY WITH THE KEYLESS ENTRY BUTTON OR MANUALLY INSIDE THE CAR. *TR
I PURCHASED THIS CAR NEW. THE STEERING SHAFT IN THIS CAR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO CLUNKING NOISE FROM THE STEERING SHAFT WHEN TURNING. WHILE RESEARCHING MY ISSUE, I NOTICED SEVERAL ONLINE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE. THE REPAIR WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND COST ME $350. TYPICAL GM PROBLEMS! *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE COMING TO A STOP, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO EXHIBIT AN ABNORMALLY LOUD NOISE. AFTER INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE BRAKE PAD WAS MISSING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT BOTH FRONT CALIPERS WERE DEFECTIVE AND AS A RESULT, THE BRAKE PADS, ROTORS AND CALIPERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. A FEW WEEKS AFTER I BOUGHT THE CAR (HAD 50K) I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT I WAS ENTERING ONTO THE HIGHWAY AND IT WAS HARD TO GET IT TO 70 THE TRANS WAS SPUTTERING AND THE CAR WAS JERKING. IT DOES THIS AT ALL SPEEDS JUST SUPER SCARY WHEN IM ON THE HIGHWAY. NOW I WAS PULLING OUT ONTO A MAIN ROAD AND IT WOULD HARDLY GO AND SAID ENGINE POWER REDUCED, SERVICE TRACTION. SOMETIMES ITS NOT ON BUT IT WILL COME BACK ON WITHIN A FEW MINUTES. WHEN ITS IN THIS MODE IT JERKS TO GET IT TO 25 IT FEELS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS GOING IT JUMPS SO BADLY AND STARTLES ME I SCREAM LIKE A LITTLE GIRL. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AT GM DEALER TO LOOK AT IT THEY HAD MY CAR FROM OPEN TO CLOSE AND TOLD ME TO COME GET IT AND THEY DID NOT HAVE A CHANCE TO LOOK AT IT. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. THIS CAR IS UNSAFE. I HAVE A WHOLE LIST OF ISSUES WITH THIS CAR, ITS JUNK. I HAVE TO HOLD THE KEY I THE ON POSITION FOR UP TO AN 8-9 COUNT FOR IT TO START. WHEEL SHAKES WHEN I BRAKE, I HAVE NEW BRAKES AND ROTORS STILL DOES IT EVEN THOUGH EVERYTHING IS IN GOOD REPAIR. RIGHT BLINKER DOES NOT TURN OFF ON ITS OWN, THE LEFT SOMETIMES DOES NOT WORK EITHER. I HAVE A HEAD LIGHT THAT KEEPS GOING OUT I'VE REPLACED IT 3 TIMES IN 6 MONTHS!! THE CHECK ENGINE (CHECK GAS CAP) LIGHT IS ON. THE SHOP SAID ITS SOME TYPE OF LEAK OR AIR FLOW PROBLEM WITH THE GAS SYSTEM. ALSO SOMETIMES WHEN I TURN IT ON IT STARTS TO IDLE ALL CRAZY. THIS CAR IS TO NEW I TAKE CARE OF IT, TO BE HAVING ALL THESE PROBLEMS IM AT THE SHOP AT LEAST EVERY OTHER WEEK. THIS CAR IS AN UNSAFE HUGE ANNOYANCE !! *TR
THE LOW BEAM HEADLAMP SOCKETS MELT DUE TO GROUND ISSUES CAUSING THE HEADLAMP BULBS TO BURN OUT. REPLACED HEADLAMP SOCKETS (PIGTAILS) FOR THE LIGHTS WORK FOR LESS THAN A WEEK. PASSENGER (RIGHT) SIDE OCCURS MORE OFTEN THAN DRIVER (LEFT). SECOND TIME MALFUNCTION OCCURRED WAS WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT ON A FREEWAY. HIGH BEAMS WERE STILL USABLE BUT IT TOOK A FEW SECONDS TO REGAIN LIGHT. *TR
DRIVERS SEAT, ELECTRICAL, ADJUSTABLE (2 WAY) FAILED TO ADJUST UP/DOWN AND TENSION SPRING PROTRUDED INTO SEAT AREA. REMOVED SEAT TO FIND WELD BROKEN AT LEFT REAR ADJUSTMENT BRACKET- BROKEN/TORN FROM STEEL SEAT SUPPORT BAR AND BRACKET JAMMED AGAINST SUPPORT BAR. TENSION SPRING ATTACHED TO ADJUSTMENT BRACKET COULD HAVE CAUSED GRAVE INJURY IF BRACKET NOT JAMMED AGAINST SUPPORT BAR ASSEMBLY. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THE AIR BAG WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATED AND THE PASSENGER AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT WOULD STAY OFF INTERMITTENTLY WHENEVER THE PASSENGER SEAT WAS OCCUPIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. IN ADDITION, THE REAR DRIVERS DOOR LOCK AND TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR STOPPED WORKING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
I HAVE A 2008 PONTIAC G6. MY BRAKE LIGHTS WERE WORKING IN THE REVERSE. WHEN NOT DEPRESSED..THEY WERE ON. WHEN BRAKE WAS APPLIED..THEY WERE OFF. MY CRUISE CONTROL ALSO DID NOT WORK. I TOOK MY CAR TO MY MECHANIC AND HE REPLACED THE BMC AND RESET THE COMPUTER. THIS COST ME $412.00. IT IS NOW JULY OF 2013 AND THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING AGAIN. I RESEARCHED IT ON THE COMPUTER AND HAVE FOUND OUT THAT THIS IS A POSSIBLE RECALL. CAN I TAKE MY CAR TO A GM DEALERSHIP AND GET IT REPAIRED AT NO CHARGE? *TR
I WOULD LIKE TO INFORM NHTSA THAT MY 2008 PONTIAC G6 HAD/HAS ISSUES WITH THE BRAKE LIGHTS. THE LIGHTS ARE ILLUMINATED WHILE ACCELERATING AND TURN OFF WHILE BRAKING. THE ISSUE WAS FIRST BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION WHEN MY BROTHER WAS FOLLOWING ME AND ASKED WHY I WAS RIDING MY BRAKES. HE EXPLAINED WHAT HE SAW, AND WE FIGURED OUT MY BRAKE LIGHTS WERE BACKWARD. THE ISSUE CONTINUED, WITH SEEMINGLY NO PATTERN. AT TIMES THEY ILLUMINATED CORRECTLY AND AT OTHERS, NOT. I TESTED THE LIGHTS OFTEN AND SPEED ALSO DID NOT SEEM TO BE A FACTOR. I TOOK MY CAR TO A REPAIR SHOP WHERE I WAS CHARGED $162.90 FOR A NEW BRAKE SWITCH THAT WAS NOT NEEDED. UPON FINDING THE ISSUE STILL IN EXISTENCE, I CONTACTED THE SHOP TO REQUEST A REFUND, WHICH I WAS ULTIMATELY DENIED. THE REPAIR SHOP STATED THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF SUCH AN ISSUE WITH BRAKE LIGHTS, EVEN THOUGH THEY WITNESSED IT THEMSELVES WHILE MY CAR WAS THERE FOR MULTIPLE DAYS. UPON FINDING NO ONE WHO SEEMED TO HAVE AN IDEA HOW TO FIX THE ISSUE, I FOUND A VIDEO ON YOUTUBE OF A DEMONSTRATION TO FIX THE ISSUE, HTTP://WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/WATCH?V=N7RA7MC_TLO. I TOOK MY CAR TO A FRIEND WHO FOLLOWED THE STEPS IN THE VIDEO. MY BRAKES SEEM TO BE WORKING OK AT THIS POINT, BUT AS THE MAN IN THE VIDEO POINTS OUT, THE FIX MAY ONLY LAST FOR 8 OR SO MONTHS. PLEASE NOTE THAT SINCE ?FIXING? MY BRAKE LIGHTS, I HAVE SEEN TWO G6?S ON THE ROAD WITH THIS BRAKE LIGHT ISSUE, OF WHICH THE DRIVERS MAY OR MAY HAVE NOT KNOWN. MY DAILY COMMUTE OFTEN INVOLVES TRAFFIC BACKUPS, AND I DO NOT WANT TO BE BEHIND A VEHICLE WITH THIS ISSUE, NOR WOULD I WANT ANYONE BEHIND ME UNABLE TO RECOGNIZE THAT I AM BRAKING. I LOOK FORWARD TO FOLLOWING NHTSA REGARDING THE BRAKE LIGHT ISSUE, AND HOPE TO GET A RECALL NOTICE. *TR
THE DRIVER SIDE BACK DOOR LOCK STARTED INTERMITTENTLY WORKING, USING THE REMOTE OR DRIVER'S LOCK BUTTON, AND WITHIN 2 MONTHS COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING. IT CAN BE OPERATED MANUALLY, HOWEVER, CONSIDERING WHERE THE LOCK IS LOCATED, IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT AND INCONVENIENT TO GET TO. LOOKING ONLINE, THIS SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS AUTOMOBILE. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS. *TR
MY VEHICLE HAS EXPERIENCED THE ISSUE THAT WHEN I PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE BRAKE LIGHTS GO OFF AND WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS NOT BEING PRESSED THE BRAKE LIGHTS GO BACK ON AGAIN. IT HAS CAUSE MANY PEOPLE TO ALMOST REAR-END ME IN INTERCITY DRIVING AND MANY PASS ME ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE THEY ASSUME I AM "RIDING MY BRAKES." I'VE GONE AS FAR AS TO PUT DIALECTIC GREASE ON THE BODY COMPUTER TO PREVENT ANY CORROSION, BUT THIS IS ONLY A TEMPORARY FIX. WE FOUND THAT IF WE PERIODICALLY UNPLUG AND RE-PLUG THE SAME COMPUTER IT WILL "RESET" THE BRAKES FOR A TEMPORARY AMOUNT OF TIME. I'VE TRIED CONTACTING PONTIAC ABOUT THIS ISSUE BUT END UP BEING REPEATEDLY TOLD THAT "THERE IS NO RECALL FOR MY VIN ON THIS ISSUE." THEY DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE AS MUCH THAT I WAS CALLING OUT OF COURTESY TO LET THEM KNOW SO THEY CAN PREVENT ANY ISSUES OR FATALITIES. I WAS URGED TO GO PAY A GM DEALER $$ TO "DIAGNOSE" THE PROBLEM SO THEY COULD FIND OUT THAT WAY.......WOW, THANKS PONTIAC, THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WANT TO DO....PAY MONEY TO HELP YOU EXPAND YOUR RECALL. *TR
THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG "OFF" LIGHT IS SHOWING ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN INVOLVED AN AN ACCIDENT THAT WOULD CAUSE THIS LIGHT TO COME ON. WE HAVE NEVER TURNED THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG TO THE "OFF" POSITION EITHER. IT JUST CAME ON ONE DAY. THE DEALER SAID IT IS COMMON IN SOME GM VEHICLES. NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED. I HOPE I DON'T HAVE TO WITNESS A PASSENGER INJURY IN MY VEHICLE BECAUSE THE AIR BAG WILL NOT DEPLOY. AS I UNDERSTAND IT, THE AIR BAG WILL NOT DEPLOY DURING AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE IT HAS MALFUNCTIONED IN THE PASSENGER SEAT BOTTOM. I BELIEVE GM SHOULD MAKE A PASSENGER AIR BAG SAFETY RECALL A PRIORITY.
THE POWER STEERING INTERMITTENTLY GOES OUT AND MAKES THE CAR JERK TO THE SIDE AS YOU ARE TURNING AND THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM TURNS ON AND OFF. *JB
WHILE TURNING TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT I HEAR A LOUD WHINNING NOISE FOR THE STEERING COLUMN. THE NOISE HAS COME A LOT LOUDER THE MORE I TURN. I HAVE STARTED TO HEAR THE WHINNING NOISE WHILE I AM ACCELERATING FROM A STOP. *TR
GEAR SHIFT CABLE DISLODGED FROM THE GEAR SHIFT ARM AS I WAS PUTTING THE CAR INTO PARK. CAR WAS LEFT IN DRIVE AND ROLLED FORWARD TO THE CURB & THE CAR SIMULTANEOUSLY SHUT OFF AND WAS NOT ABLE TO BE RESTARTED. THE GEAR SHIFTER IN THE INSIDE CONSOLE WAS LIMP AND ABLE TO MOVE FROM GEAR TO GEAR WITHOUT PRESSING THE RELEASE BUTTON. WHEN I OPENED THE HOOD THIS MORNING, I COULD SEE THE PLASTIC EYELET THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE ATTACHED TO THE INSIDE ORIFICE OF THE GEAR SHIFT CABLE BROKE OFF . I KEEP MY PARKING BRAKE ON AND SHIFTED THE CAR TO DRIVE (WITH THE ENGINE OFF) AND RE-ATTACHED THE GEAR SHIFT CABLE TO THE SHIFT ARM. I WAS THEN ABLE TO SHIFT THE CAR INTO PARK AND RE START THE CAR. IN ORDER TO MAKE IT TO THE DEALER, THE GEAR SHIFT CABLE IS DUCT TAPED TO THE ARM SO IT WON'T BOUNCE OFF AND STALL THE CAR WHILE DRIVING. IT SEEMS THE 2007, 2009, 2010 MODELS HAVE RECALLS FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM. WHEN WILL THE 2008 BE RECALLED BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE? THANKFULLY THIS HAPPENED IN MY PARKING LOT BUT IF I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CAR WOULD HAVE LOST ALL POWER, RESULTING IN DANGER TO MYSELF AND OTHER MOTORISTS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BEGIN TO SHAKE AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO JERK FROM SIDE TO SIDE. THE CONTACT CONTINUED TO DRIVE BUT SLOWED DOWN AND WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE STOPPED BUT RECURRED SEVERAL MONTHS LATER. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
STEERING WHEEL POPS WHEN TURNING AT LOW SPEEDS, OBVIOUSLY A COMMON PROBLEM AS IT IS ALL OVER THE INTERNET. *TR
THE BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON WHEN THE PEDAL IS NOT DEPRESSED AND GO OFF WHEN IT IS DEPRESSED. THIS CONDITION ALSO AFFECTS THE CRUISE CONTROL. THIS ONLY HAPPENS OCCASIONALLY, BUT IT SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING MORE SINCE THE FIRST OCCURRENCE. THIS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND THERE IS NO WAY OF KNOWING WHEN IT IS OCCURRING. *TR
ELECTRIC DOOR LOCK FAILS TO FULLY LOCK/UNLOCK REAR DRIVERS SIDE DOOR, REQUIRES MANUAL OPERATION. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR PREVENTION OF INTRUDERS AFTER ENTRY INTO THE VEHICLE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER WOULD NOT ENGAGE IN PARK OR REVERSE. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE ROLLED AWAY WHILE STILL IN PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 12V460000 (POWER TRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: GEAR POSITION INDICATION (PRNDL). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
BRAKE LIGHTS DO NOT GO OFF AFTER I RELEASE THE BRAKE PEDAL. THIS CAUSES THE CRUISE CONTROL TO NOT WORK PROPERLY WHEN THIS OCCURS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THE AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT FAILED. THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED AND THE SEAT BELT MADE A BEEPING SOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC TEST PERFORMED, WHICH LOCATED THE FAILURE WITHIN THE AIR BAG SENSOR. THE AIR BAG SENSOR WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE SEAT BELT CONTINUED TO BEEP. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 118,000.
ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS SINCE MAY 2012, THE DRIVERS SIDE HEADLIGHT HAS FAILED TO OPERATE. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS THE BULB, SO I REPLACED IT. APPROXIMATELY 2 WEEKS LATER, THE BULB QUIT AND I HAD TO REPLACE THE BULB AGAIN. THIS HAPPENED ON A REGULAR BASIS FOR APPROXIMATELY 18 MONTHS. IN NOVEMBER OF 2013, I WAS REPLACING A BULB AGAIN AND NOTICED THE BULB SOCKET AND WIRING WAS STARTING TO MELT. I CONTACTED MY DEALER AND PONTIAC CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE DEALER TOLD ME THEY HAD MANY REPORTS OF THIS OCCURRING, BUT THERE WAS NOT A FIX FOR IT NOR WAS THERE A RECALL. PONTIAC CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLD ME THE SAME THING. I DECIDED TO BUY A BRAND NEW HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY ($200.00) AND SEE IF THIS WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. THE NEW HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY DID THE EXACT SAME THING AS THE OLD ONE. I COULD NOT GET A REFUND BECAUSE OF THE DAMAGE. I THEN DECIDED TO TRY AND REWIRE THE NEW HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY TO SEE IF THIS WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. I BOUGHT TWO BULB SOCKET/WIRING ASSEMBLIES FROM MY DEALER. THIS DID NOT WORK EITHER, AS THE SOCKETS/WIRING STARTED TO SMELL LIKE THEY WERE BURNING, JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. IT HAS NOW BEEN ABOUT 2 YEARS SINCE THIS STARTED HAPPENING, AND I AM STUCK WITH A CAR WITH ONE OPERATIONAL HEADLIGHT AND HAVE TO LIMIT MY NIGHT DRIVING TO VERY SHORT TRIPS. I WON'T LET MY WIFE DRIVE THE CAR AT NIGHT BECAUSE IT IS UNSAFE. THIS HEADLIGHT ISSUE IS A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN. *TR
THREE OF THE TIRE SENSORS DO NOT MATCH UP WITH THE CORRECT TIRE. FOR EXAMPLE, THE SENSOR FOR THE LEFT REAR IS ACTUALLY READING THE TIRE PRESSURE OF THE TIRE IN THE FRONT RIGHT. THEREFORE, I AM UNABLE TO TELL WHICH TIRE NEEDS AIR OR HAS TOO MUCH AIR WITHOUT TAKING IT TO AN AIR PUMP WITH A PRESSURE SENSOR. IN THE PAST, I HAVE HAD TO GO INTO THE SHOP BECAUSE I COULD NOT FIND AN AIR PUMP WITH A PRESSURE SENSOR. THE FORTH SENSOR IS NOT READING ANY TIRE AT ALL. IT IS SHOWING AS THOUGH THERE IS NOT A TIRE ON MY CAR, WHICH THERE CLEARLY IS. AS FAR AS I CAN RECALL, THIS HAPPENED COMPLETELY AT RANDOM. *TR
WHILE DRIVING 2008 PONTIAC G6 PASSENGER HEADLIGHTS WENT DIM/OUT. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE DAYS AND THE WIRING TO THE CONNECTORS SEEM TO BE LOOSE/CORRODED. *TR
HEADLIGHTS KEEP BURNING OUT. REPLACEMENT BULBS LAST ANYWHERE FROM A FEW DAYS TO A FEW WEEKS. WE HAVE REPLACED THEM 3 TIMES. *TR
MY DAUGHTER BOUGHT A 2008 PONTIAC G6 IN 2010. IN JUNE OF 2011, THE LEFT HEADLIGHT WENT OUT WHILE SHE WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT. SHE TOOK IT IN FOR REPAIR AND THEY FOUND THAT THE CONNECTOR HAD MELTED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN APRIL 2012, THE RIGHT HEADLIGHT QUIT WORKING. AGAIN IT WAS A CASE OF THE CONNECTOR MELTING. THIS APPEARS TO BE A CASE OF FAULTY PARTS AND PRESENTS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE WHEN THE LIGHTS SUDDENLY QUIT AT NIGHT. *JS
THE "SERVICE AIR BAG" KEEPS COMING ON. AFTER SPEAKING WITH A PONTIAC REPRESENTATIVE THEY STATED IT IS A PROBLEM WITH THE G6 MODELS. I THEN RESEARCHED IT ONLINE AND MANY PEOPLE COMPLAIN OF THE SAME THING, THE PROBLEM IS A BAD SENSOR AND COMPUTER. RESETTING THE AIRBAG SENSOR DOESN'T CORRECT THE PROBLEM WHICH IS 600.00 AND CHANGING OUT THE SENSOR IS 1200.00 AND THAT STILL DOESN'T CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND IT IS UNKNOWN TO THE DEALERSHIP IF THE AIRBAG ACTUALLY WORKS! *TR

I SEE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE 2005 AND 2006 MODELS BUT NOT THE 2008. THIS IS A DANGER TO ME. ONE DAY MY REAR DOORS WOULDN'T UNLOCK OR LOCK, WHEN THIS HAPPENS HAVE TO HAVE SOMEONE CLIMB INTO THE BACK SEAT FROM THE FRONT SEAT TO UNLOCK. I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM BOBB SUZUKI COLUMBUS OHIO 12/05/2011. WHEN TEST DROVE HEARD THE NOISE BUT WAS NOT DOING IT THAT MUCH. BUT AS TIME WENT ON IT GOT MORE FREQUENT WHEN U TURN LEFT/RIGHT AND TAKEOFF/STOPPING. HAS 47K ON IT DEALER WILL NOT PAY TO FIX IT. I FEEL I AM NOT LIABLE TO PAY AS I DIDN'T KNOW OF THE ISSUES THAT WAS ON THESE CARS. DID RESEARCH ONLINE THIS IS A BIG ISSUE WITH OTHERS THAT OWN THESE G6 CARS.
