I WAS IN MOTION ON HWY281 CAR STARTED TO JERK PARKED REALIZED BOTH FRONT TIRES ARE BALD ON INSIDE. *TR
THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES AT IDLE AND THE VEHICLE INTERMITTENTLY LOSES POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING AND WHILE IDLING ON THE ROAD AND DURING TURNS. *TR
WAS DRIVING TO TOWN, AND WHILE GOING DOWN A HILL, AND WHILE ON A CURVED SECTION OF ROAD, CHIME CAME ON, POWER STEERING WARNING APPEARED ON RADIO SCREEN, CAR BEGAN GOING STRAIGHT INSTEAD OF FOLLOWING THE CURVE. I FORCED THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE RIGHT AND REGAINED CONTROL OF THE CAR. TURNED CAR AROUND AND DROVE BACK HOME. CAR WAS DIFFICULT TO STEER. STEERING WORKS NOW, BUT FAILED SEVERAL TIMES WHILE MOVING THE CAR IN OUR DRIVEWAY, THIS PAST WINTER. I KNOW MANY FOLKS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH ELECTRIC ASSIST POWER STEERING, BUT THEY DON'T REPORT IT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE REVERSING OUT OF A PARKING LOT, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL SOUND COMING FROM THE STEERING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14E044000 (ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 157,000.
ON A FEW DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, WHILE AT A COMPLETE STOP, THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES. THEN WHEN IT IS TIME TO START DRIVING, IT BECOMES HARD TO TURN. TOP SPEED DRIVEN WHILE THIS HAPPENED WAS 45 MPH. WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC WHERE THEY STATED THAT IT WAS MORE THAN LIKELY A TORQUE SENSOR.
PASSENGER SIDE FRONT LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT DOES NOT STAY ON. GOING OVER A BUMP DURING DRIVING KNOCKS THE LIGHT OFF AND SHUTTING THE HOOD OR TAPPING ON THE HEADLAMP MAY TURN IT BACK ON. DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AS BOTH LIGHTS MAY GO OUT. WAS INFORMED THAT THE WIRING CONNECTOR INSIDE THE LAMP CASE COULD MELT FROM THE HEAT OF THE LIGHT BULB.
LOSS OF STEERING AT TIMES. STEERING SEIZING UP. VERY LOOSE STEERING. DANGEROUSLY UNPREDICTABLE. MECHANIC TOLD ME THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS VEHICLE AND THIS REASON. I'VE TRIED TO CONTACT A GM DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND ZERO RESPONSE. THE STEERING LOSS HAPPENED RANDOMLY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HER HUSBAND WAS DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE STEERING WHEEL CEASED. NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS POWERED OFF AND WAS RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE POWER STEERING ASSIST MODULE WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED AFTER LEAVING THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A SECOND INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TORQUE SENSOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC RECOMMENDED THE CONTACT TO NOTIFY THE NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 160,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 75 MPH AN AUDIBLE CHIME ACTIVATED AND POWER STEERING MESSAGE WAS DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE STEERING BECAME FIRM AND DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PATRIOT BUICK GMC LOCATED AT (4600 EAST CENTRAL TX. EXPWY KILLEEN, TX) WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING AND STEERING TORQUE SENSOR WERE DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 14V15300 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 152,000.
THE STEERING IN MY PONTIAC HAS COMPLETELY GONE OUT. I WAS DRIVING DOWN MY STREET AND MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AND THE POWER STEERING ALERT CAME UP ON THE RADIO. AND I'VE BEEN READING AND I'VE READ ARTICLES WHERE PONTIACS POWER STEERING HAS BEEN RECALLED.
WHEN I AM DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY MY POWER STEERING GOES OUT TO WHERE I CAN'T STEER THE CAR AND THAN I TURN THE CAR OFF LEFT IT RESET TURN IT BACK ON AND IT'S FINE FOR A PERIOD OF TIME AND DOES IT AGAIN. I HAVE KIDS AND I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF MY KIDS AND MYSELF.
MY TRACTION CONTROL WILL GO OFF AND LIGHT UP ON THE DASH. MY BREAK LIGHTS STAY ON MIST OF THE TIME.
THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING, I DID RESEARCH TO FIND OUT IT WAS ELECTRICAL. IT WENT OFF AND ON BEFORE STAYING OFF MAKING IT HARD TO DRIVE OBVIOUSLY. IT IS MY ONLY VEHICLE FOR MY SON AND I TO GET TO WORK IN. THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES AS WELL. I HAVE HAD MANY ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE, REPLACING HEADLIGHT AFTER HEADLIGHT, STARTER, ETC. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY AN ISSUE WITH THE ELECTRONIC STEERING ASSIST OR TORQUE ASSEMBLY AND I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THE ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE. A RECALL TO FIX THESE ISSUES NEEDS TO BE IN PLACE!
SENSOR IN STEERING COLUMN MALFUNCTIONS AND POWER STEERING GOES OUT. GM ADMITS THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE /MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND FIXED IT FOR SEVERAL YEARS AT NO COST. NOW THEY EXPECT CONSUMERS TO BEAR THE COST, ABOUT $1000. I JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR USED AND AM EXPERIENCING THE ISSUE WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS POWER STEERING JUST QUITS WITH NO WARNING.
MY DAUGHTERS 2008 PONTIAC G6 HAD INTERMITTENT POWER STEERING ISSUES MAKING THE CAR VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. I CHECKED FOR A RECALL AND THE DEALER (MATTHEWS AUTO, VESTAL, NY) WAS NOT VERY OPENED ABOUT THE DETAILS THEY TRIED TO SAY THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE WHEN I HAD TO ASK ABOUT THE ONE POSTED ON YOUR SITE. NOT UNTIL THEN DID HE TELL ME THAT THE TORQUE SENSOR WAS REPLACED IN 2014 AND THEY WERE THE ONES WHO SERVICED IT. THE POWER STEERING HAS SINCE FAILED ALL TOGETHER AND I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU HAVE TO HAVE A GM DEALER FIX THIS PROBLEM $700-$1000. I'VE ALSO READ THAT OTHERS HAD THEIR RECALL SERVICED ONLY TO SAY THAT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT RESOLVED. I HAVE TO WONDER HOW MANY CARS (WITH YOUNG DRIVERS BEHIND THE WHEEL) ARE OUT THERE ON THE ROAD LIKE THIS. THE PROBLEM IS VERY SCARY ESPECIALLY FOR A YOUNG DRIVER. I ALSO HAVE TO WONDER IF THERE IS A CLASS ACTION SUIT SOMEWHERE OUT THERE. I'M FINE WITH THE RECALL BUT I EXPECT THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE RESOLVED AFTER RECALL SERVICE AND IT CLEARLY IS NOT. I WAS IN MOTION TURNING THE WHEEL TO LEAVE OFF OF THE HIGHWAY AND MY POWER STEERING LOCKED UP. I HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OFF TURN IT BACK ON JUST FOR THE POWER STEERING TO UNLOCK.

THE CONTACT STATED IN ORDER FOR VEHICLE TO OPERATE CORRECTLY, SHE WOULD HAVE TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND ON. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSES OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000.
BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON WHILE DRIVING AND GO OFF ONCE BRAKE PEDAL IS PUSHED. THIS WAS A RECALL DONE SEVERAL YEARS AGO BUT IN 2019 WE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AFTER THE RECALL WAS PREVIOUSLY PERFORMED. ADDITIONALLY, I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM REPEATEDLY SINCE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE IN 2011, AND IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED MULTIPLE TIMES AND BY MECHANICS OTHER THAN THE RECALL. THE MOST RECENT REPAIR WAS IN NOVEMBER OF 2019. YESTERDAY, THE PROBLEM RETURNED (IF IT HAD EVER GONE AWAY TO BEGIN WITH.) THE MECHANICS ARE TRYING THEIR BEST TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PROBLEM; HOWEVER, THE BEST I HAVE EVER GOTTEN IS ABOUT 8 MONTHS WITHOUT NOTICING ANY ISSUES. WHEN YOU BUY A CAR--NEW OR USED--YOU EXPECT THE BREAK LIGHTS TO WORK AS THEY ARE DESIGNED TO WORK FOR THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE. NOBODY BUYS A CAR EXPECTING TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE UNCERTAINTY OF NOT KNOWING WHETHER YOUR CAR IS ACTUALLY ALERTING DRIVERS THAT YOU ARE STOPPING WHEN YOU ARE IN BUSY TRAFFIC.
ITS LEAKS WHEN ITS RAINS. THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY CAR LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING. THE FRONT AND BRAKE LIGHT ARE OUT ON THE RIGHT SIDE. LEFT SIDE LOCK SWITCH DOESNT WORK. ALSO MY GEAR SWITCH SOMETIMES KEEP ME IN PARKED OR REVERSE FROM DAY TO DAY TRAVELS. I COULD GET IN THE CAR GO TO THE STORE AND MY CAR WILL NOT COME OUT OF REVERSE OR PARK.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING A STEERING WHEEL MESSAGE CAME ON THE RADIO PANEL WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO MAKE THE TURN BECAUSE THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME STIFF.

THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER ALLEN GMC LOCATED AT 28332 CAMINO CAPISTRANO, LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA 92677 AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
AS I AM DRIVING MY CAR WANTS TO LOSE CONTROL IN THE STEERING. YOU CAN DRIVE AND THE STEERING WILL START JERKING TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT AS YOU ARE DRIVING. IT'S SO SCARY. I GET PANICKED DRIVING IT ANYMORE. I HAVE PUT POWER STEERING IN THE CAR AND WE CHECKED THE POWER STEERING PUMP NONE OF THIS IS AFFECTED SO I AM WORRIED FOR MY SAFETY AND OTHERS. I HAVE SEEN WHERE THERE HAS BEEN MANY RECALLS DUE TO THE STEERING. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE MY CAR FIXED FOR A RECALL. THE TWO STEERING RECALLS I HAVE FOUND FOR MY CAR I HAVE THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS FOR BOTH RECALLS ON THE STEERING IS 14E044000 AND THE OTHER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER IS 14V153000. I AM NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER SO I HAVE NOT BEEN AWARE OF ANY RECALLS.
THE POWER STEERING KEEPS GOIN OFF IT DOESNT MATTER THE CONDITIONS OR WEATHER OR SPEED IT KEEPS FAILING.

WHILE DRIVING MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP ON ME . THE SENSORS WAS A ISSUE AND MY TIRES WAS ALWAYS BALD . I HAD TO BUY NEW TIRES EVERY WEEK IN THE FRONT. I SPENT SO MUCH MONEY ON THIS CAR . MY TIRE POPPED OFF WHILE IN MOTION.
I FILED A REPORT YESTERDAY AFTER MY SONS CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHILE IN DRIVE AFTER HE HAD BEEN STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT IN THE TURNING LANE ON THE CITY STREET. HE PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL, THE ENGINE REVVED UP,BUT THE CAR WOULDN'T MOVE FORWARD, ONLY REVERSE AND PARK. I HAD IT TOWED TO MY MECHANIC AND AFTER THEY PULLED MY TRANNY, TOOK OFF THE FILTER AND PAN, THEY FOUND SOME KIND OF 4 WAY METAL TUBE THAT HAD BROKEN, AND THAT'S WHAT CAUSED THE CAR TO NOT DRIVE FORWARD. I HAD TO HAVE A TRANSMISSION FILTER AND GASKET, THEY HAD TO DRAIN AND REPLACE THE FLUID, A TRANSMISSION TUBE ASSEMBLY, AND NEW TRANSMISSION FLUID WHICH COST ME $602.25. ALSO, MY MECHANIC SAID THAT THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE IT'S SCREWED UP. AFTER ALL THE MONEY I SPENT TODAY, I COULDN'T AFFORD TO GET IT FIXED AND I WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE ON MY SONS CAR. I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR USED FROM A PRIVATE SELLER ON JULY 30, 2019 FOR MY 18 YEAR OLD SON AND WAS NOT INFORMED OF ANY RECALLS UNTIL YESTERDAY WHEN I HAPPENED TO LOOK UP THIS CAR AFTER THE PROBLEM OCCURRED.
MY SON WAS DRIVING MY CAR AND HE WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT IN THE TURN LANE. HE WENT TO PRESS ON THE GAS PEDAL, THE CAR REVVED UP, BUT IT WOULD NOT MOVE FORWARD. IT WAS STUCK. THE CAR MOVES WHEN IN REVERSE AND THAT'S IT. THE CAR WOULDN'T EVEN DRIVE IN LOW GEAR. IT WILL NOT DRIVE WHILE IN THE DRIVE POSITION. HAD TO CALL A TOW TRUCK TO TOW IT TO THE MECHANIC. I BOUGHT THIS CAR USED IN JULY 2019. CAME HOME AND DID SOME RESEARCH ON THE CAR ONLY TO FIND THERE WERE 5 RECALLS.
ELECTRIC POWER STEERING IT LOCKED ON ME WHILE ON HIGHWAY POWER STEERING IS ELECTRIC
BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON WHILE DRIVING AND GO OFF ONCE BRAKE PEDAL IS PUSHED. THIS WAS A RECALL DONE IN 2014 BUT IN 2019 WE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AFTER THE RECALL WAS PREVIOUSLY PERFORMED. THIS ISSUE IS ALSO CAUSING THE CRUISE CONTROL TO NOT WORK, AND THE SERVICE TRACTION LIGHT TO COME ON.
TL* THE CONTACT CALLED ON BEHALF OF KELLI MAGDALENO WHO OWNS A 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER. WHILE THE CONTACT'S WIFE WAS DRIVING 70 MPH, THE SUN ROOF EXPLODED WITHOUT WARNING. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CLAREMONT TOYOTA (601 AUTO CENTER DR, CLAREMONT, CA 91711, (866) 317-5943) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO AN OBJECT FROM THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND CONFIRMED THAT AN OBJECT WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 1909301726. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,500.
I HAVE NOT DRIVEN MY CAR FOR A DAY AND I AM INSIDE MY HOME AND I COME OUTSIDE AND MY CAR IS SMOKING AND MY CAR IS SMOKING INSIDE BECAUSE THE AIR BAG HAS BLOWED UP AND IT'S ON FIRE AND HOW COULD A AIR BAG BLOW UP WHEN IT WAS PARKED FOR A DAY ,
MY HEADLIGHTS KEEP HAVING TO BE REPLACED! I'VE ALSO REPLACED THE PIGTAILS IN THE PAST!! I NOTICED BOTH MY HIGH AND LOW BEAMS OUT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO BE REPLACED THE LIGHT HAD COME BACK ON. THEN WHEN I LEFT WORK THAT NIGHT THEY WERE OUT ONCE AGAIN!!! I'VE LOOKED THIS UP AND IT APPEARS TO BE A PROBLEM FOR MOST PONTIAC OWNERS ALONG WITH ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS TOO! WHICH I'VE ALSO HAD MY SHARE OF ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS TOO!!! I'VE GOTTWN INTO THE HABIT OF SHUTTING OFF MY DAY TIME DRIVING LIGHTS! AS REPLACEMENT IS VERY COSTLY DUE TO LABOR!!
MY HEADLIGHTS KEEP BURNING OUT! I'VE REPLACED THEM MULTIPLE TIMES AND ALSO REPLACED THE PIG TAILS. ONLY FOR THEM TO CONTINUALLY GO OUT!! JUST YESTERDAY I KNEW ONE WAS OUT, BROUGHT IT TO BE REPLACED ONLY TO HAVE IT WORKING AGAIN!! THEN WHEN I LEFT WORK IT WAS OUT AGAIN!! THEY ARE ALSO VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE BECAUSE OF THE LABOR!! IT SEEMS TO BE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM FOR CERTAIN!!
WHEEL LOCKED UP AND WAS UNABLE TO STEER THE CAR. TOOK GREAT EFFORT TO TURN TO GET OFF ROAD. HAD CAR TOWED. SHOP WAS UNABLE TO RECREATE PROBLEM. IT HAS HAPPENED BEFORE BUT THIS WAS THE MOST SEVERE. AFRAID TO DRIVE IT NOW.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO START THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY PRESSURE TO THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL FOR THE VEHICLE TO START. ALSO, UPON EXITING THE VEHICLE, A STRONG FUEL ODOR WAS DETECTED AROUND THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS DEFECTIVE. THE CONTACT HAD THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED. THE MECHANIC INFORMED HER THAT THE VEHICLE MAY HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN A RECALL; HOWEVER, THE VIN TOOL DID NOT LOCATE ANY RECALLS. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 195,000.

NOTICED A STRONG GAS SMELL COMING FROM REAR OF CAR FOR SEVERAL DAYS. FINALLY TOOK CAR IN FOR INSPECTION. MECHANIC SAID THAT THE FUEL PUMP MODULATOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I'VE SEEN ON SEVERAL WEBSITES THAT THE PONTIAC G5 HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AND WERE BEING RECALLED. UNFORTUNATELY I HAVEN'T SEEN ANYTHING ABOUT THE PONTIAC G6. I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH THIS CAR. COULD YOU PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS. WHEN PARKING THE CAR IN MY GARAGE THE ODOR WAS QUITE STRONG AND ALSO A DANGER TO ME AND MY FAMILY. THE CAR COULD HAVE CAUGHT ON FIRE AS WELL AS MY HOUSE.
WHEN I'M DRIVING AND PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE THE BRAKE LIGHTS TURN OFF, AND WHEN I TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKES AND DRIVE THEY TURN ON. THIS IS A REAL SAFETY ISSUE, I COULD GET REAR ENDED!!!
GEAR SHIFT LEVEL IS CONSTANTLY BREAKING. SHIFT LEVEL IS SAID TO BE IN PARK BUT THE CAR KEEPS ROLLING BACKWARDS. CAR WILL NOT SWITCH TO A DIFFERENT GEAR NOR REMAIN PARKED WITHOUT EMERGENCY BRAKE. WHEN I PUT MY CAR IN REVERSE AND BACK UP, I SWITCHED GEARS TO DRIVE AND MY CAR CONTINUED TO GO BACKWARDS INSTEAD.
I WAS DRIVING AND MY CAR STARTED TO REDUCE SPEED, HESITATE, AND JERK WHEN PUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS AT A LIGHT TO PULL OFF OR EVEN WITH MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL DRIVING. MY CAR COULDN'T PICK UP SPEED PAST 25 MILES AND SOMETIME LESS. A MESSAGE CAME UP ON MY DASH BOARD STATED FLASHING REDUCE ENGINE SPEED. I WAS NEAR AUTO ZONE WHEN IT HAPPENED SO I ASKED TO HAVE A DIANOSTIC COMPLETED AND IT STATED THROTTLE/ PEDAL POSITION SENSOR/ SWITCH "E" CIRCUIT LOW INPUT MEANING CODE P2127.
THE SMELL OF STRONG GAS IN THE CAR . AS I DRIVE THE CAR THE SMELL OF GAS GET STRONGER AND STRONGER ON THE INSIDE AND WHEN I LEAVE THE CAR ON THE OUTSIDE I HAD THE CAR CHECKED AND THEY CAN'T FIND OUT WHERE THIS STRONG SMELL OF GAS IS COMING FROM AND THIS PRESENTS A GREAT DANGER AND PROBLEM
THE BREAK LIGHTS ARE ALWAYS ON. THEY ONLY TURN OFF WHEN I STOP WHICH HAS ALOMST GOTTEN ME REAR ENDED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE FRONT LEFT HEADLIGHT CANNOT BE REPAIRED DUE TO IMPORPER WIRING AND IVE HAD IT LOOKED AT TWICE ONLY TO NOT BE ABLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM. ALSO, WHEN I AM DRIVING THE CAR WILL NOT GO BELOW 3RD AND IS NOT PROPERLY SHIFTING CAUSING ACCELERATING PROBLEMS, WHEN DRIVING IN GENERAL, AND AM UNABLE TO KEEP A PROPER AMOUNT OF GAS BECAUSE ITS BURING THROUGH DUE TO THIS. I HAVE PROBLEMS WHEN DRIVING, ESPECIALLY ON THE HIGHWAY, AND THE BREAKS AND HEADLIGHT ARE ALWAYS A PROBLEM WHETER DRIVING OR IN PARK. THIS HAPPENS EVERY DAY!

I HAVE HAD MY G6 PONTIAC FOR A FEW YEARS AND THE LAST 2 WEEKS FINDING OUT ALL THE MONEY I SPENT ON THE CAR IS NOTHING BECAUSE THE MANUFACTER REFUSES TO FIX THE TORQUE SENSOR ASSEMBLY THAT THEY ADVERTISE AS FREE WITHIN THE RECALL AFTER MY LOCAL GMC MECHANIC AT DONOVAN AUTO HAS TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES TO FIX THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING ASSIST UNDER THE RECALL BUT NOW SAYS I NEED $400 FOR THE TORQUE SENSOR THATS THE PART MESSING UP THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING IN THE FIRST PLACE. IF THE TORQUE SENSOR ASSEMBLY IS THE PART THE NHTSA AND GM ADVERTISES CAN BE FIXED FREE OF CHARGE THEN HOW ON A MOTOR VEHICLE DEFECT IS CUSTOMER CHARGED MAINTENANCE THEY ADVERTISE IN THE RECALL AS FREE NOW I AM COMPLETLY WITHOUT TRANSPORTATION AND CANT DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE IT IS NOT SAFE FOR ME OR ANYONE ELSE ON THE ROAD WITH THESE G6 PONTIACS WITH THE STEERING RECALL. WILL ALSO BE SEEKING LEGAL ACTION HAVE PUT 10 GRAND INTO THIS VEHICLE AND WAS PROMISED IT WAS SAFE AND HAD LONGEVITY ONLY HAD IT 3 YEARS AND NOW BECAUSE OF THE RECALL THEY CANT EVEN FIX IT I HAVE NO CAR AND NOW WILL LOSE MY JOB MY CREDIT AND MY WHOLE LIFE IS COMPLETLY REVOLVING AROUND THE CAR GOING TO PAY WITH MY LIFE TO OWN A CAR THAT KILLS ME.
MY 2008 PONTIAC G6 GT IS EXPERIENCING A FAILURE IN THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE KIT AS PREVIOUSLY RECALLED VIA GM RECALL #N130036. GM STATES THEY HAVE ALREADY CLOSED RECALL AND WILL BE IN NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WITH PROBLEM. THE CAR IS EXPERIENCING A FAILURE TO SHIFT GEARS RESULTING WITH THE CAR BEING IN REVERSE EVEN THOUGH SHIFT LEVELER IS IN PARK. SHIFT LEVELER FREELY SHIFT FROM PARK TO DRIVE WITH TRANSMISSION ENGAGING.
WHEN THE CAR IS SITTING AND IDLE THE STEERING WHEEL WILL SHAKE. WHEN DRIVING THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES AND SOMETIMES THE POWER STEERING WILL GO OUT WHEN TURNING. TOOK IT TO SHOP TO HAVE IT CHECKED AND WAS TOLD THAT THE POWER STEERING WAS ELECTRICAL.
LOSE BRAKE LIGHTS AND TRACTION CONTROL WHILE DRIVING . REPLACED BRAKE PEDAL POSITION SENSOR RELEARNED SENSOR AND IS STILL LOSING BRAKE LIGHTS WHILE GOING DOWN THE ROAD SHUTTING THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTING IT AFTER 5 MINUTES OF SITTING AND IT RESETS THE BRODY CONTROL MODEL AND WORKS FOR A DAY.
