TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR TAIL LIGHT FAILED TO PROVIDE THE PROPER ILLUMINATION WHEN THE BRAKE WAS ENGAGED. THE TAIL LIGHT HOUSING RETAINED MOISTURE AND CAUSED THE TAIL LIGHT LENS TO FAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. UPDATED 04/30/13*LJ
I CONSTANTLY GET FLASHES OF HIGH BEAM FROM ONCOMING DRIVERS WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT WHEN I HAVE MY LOW BEAMS ON. ALSO, WHEN IT RAINS, THE PASSENGER SIDE LEAKS WATER UNDER THE DASH. *JB
WHILE DRIVING A 2003 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX GTP TRIED TURNING ON THE DASH LIGHTS AT DUSK ONLY TO FIND THAT THE DASH LIGHTS AS WELL AS THE HEAD LIGHTS LOW AND HIGH BEAM WOULD NOT COME ON. AFTER HAVING THE DEALERSHIP LOOK AT THE VEHICLE IT WAS FOUND THAT A PLUG CAME LOOSE CAUSING THE LOSS OF BOTH LOW AND HIGH BEAM LIGHTS. I FIND THAT THIS COULD POSSIBLY BE A SAFTY HAZARD AND FILL THAT THE LOW AND HIGH BEAM SHOULD BE ON SEPARATE CIRCUITS SO AS TO NOT LOOSE BOTH LIGHTS AT NIGHT.*AK
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
