TAKATA RECALL. HAD THE CAR SERVICED DUE TO WARNING LIGHTS ON DASH BOARD. NOTICED OIL ON RIGHT UNDERSIDE OF CAR NEAR THE OIL FILTER AND COVERING EVERYTHING AS FAR BACK NEAR THE MUFFLER. IT HAD BEEN LLEAKING FOR QUITE SOMETIME. HAD A BURNING SMELL WHEN CAR WAS RUNNING WARM. SENSOR INDICATED THAT THE ABS BRAKES THE EXHAUST SYSTEM & THE CATYLITIC CONVERTER NEEDS WORK. REPLACED TEMP. SENSOR & FANS NOW WORK ON BOTH SIDES.
STEERING BEGAN TO RIDE DIFFERENT AND MADE SOME TYPE OF CONSTANT NOISE IN THE FRONT SUSPENSION/BRAKE AREA. CONTROL ARMS, WHEEL HUB BEARINGS AND FRONT BRAKES WERE REPLACED. NOW I'M TOLD THE REAR TIE ROD ENDS NEED TO REPLACED IN ORDER TO ALIGN THE CARE. *TR
I HAVE A 2004 GRAND PRIX GTP BOUGHT ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO TAKE A YEAR I BOUGHT IT HAD TO REPLACE HUB ASSEMBLY ON DRIVE SIDE CAR HAS LEAKED WATER IN THE PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR THAT IS CAUSE MY COWL IS BAD CANT FIND ONE THE ABOUT A YEAR TOO LATER HAD TO REPLACE THE HUB ASSEMBLY AND THE HARNESS AGAIN AND NOW MY BREAK IS PULSATING AND NOW ASKED SOMEONE WHY ITS DOING THAT THEY SAID ITS PROBABLY MY HUB ASSEMBLY THEY SHOULD NOT SEE THESES CARS EVERYONE I HAVE TALKED TO HAS HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS OUT OF THIS YEAR MODEL I DON'T HAVE THE TO FIX THIS STUFF WOULD LIKE TO HAVE IT FIXED FOR FREE. *TR

WHENEVER I START FROM A COMPLETE STOP, MY 2004 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX GT2 MAKES A POPPING NOISE UNDER THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE. ALSO UPON STARTING, A LOUDER POPPING NOISE IS HEARD FROM THE REAR OF THE CAR. ON A COUPLE OF OCCASSIONS, WHENEVER I START IN DRIVE (COLD ENGINE), THE ENGINE REVS AND SERGES FORWARD, (I HAD TO APPLY THE BRAKES VERY QUICKLY OR I WOULD HAVE HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE.) ALSO, I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO HEAR TAPPET? NOISE FROM THE ENGINE. I DRIVE LIKE A GRANDMA AND KEEP UP WITH THE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULES, SO I KNOW IT'S NOT FROM MY DRIVING.*AK

HEADLIGHTS ON 2004 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX BOUNCE UNDER BUMPY CONDITIONS. CAUSES A DISTRATION TO BOTH DRIVER AND OTHER MOTORISTS. I'VE BEEN YELLED AT BY OTHER MOTORISTS THAT MY LIGHTS ARE DISTRACTING AND SIMULATE THE FLASHING LIGHTS OF A POLICE CAR. I'VE ALSO HAD CARS PULL OVER WHEN I AM BEHIND THEM AND AS I PASS SPEED UP, PRESUMABLY BECAUSE THEY REALIZE I AM NOT A POLICE OFFICER. *LA
