The in-cabin heater stopped working, and the temperature is in the single digits outside (currently 7 degrees), so I was not able to use the defroster to clear my windshield and it was dangerously cold inside the vehicle.
heater and defroster failed, no parts available, PCNA and local dealer cannot fix at this time defroster failure makes vehicle potentially undriveable in bad winter weather
I called Porsche USA and they are refusing to help to fix the recall. I got a brand new Porsche Taycan never got the charging cable from the dealership. Recall can not be fixed w out the charging cable. Manufacturer Voluntary Service Action issued Program #WPU1 SUBMIT CHARGING CABLE WITH NEMA POWER PLUG AND UPDATE THE PORSCHE MOBILE CHARGER SOFTWARE
See attached document for complaint.
Numerous electrical issues plaguing the vehicle. These issues pose a significant risk to both myself, my family and other road users. Specifically, the car intermittently fails to recognize the key, both when starting and during operation. Most alarmingly, the vehicle has demonstrated a dangerous behavior wherein it fails to detect my grip on the steering wheel, resulting in the sudden application of brakes and seizure of steering control. This will only happen when going 45mph or faster and will occur randomly regardless of where my hands are on the steering wheel or whether I'm turning or going in a straight line.
My car indicated that there was a collision imminent when there was nothing in front of me and no car within any reasonable distance ahead of me either. The car tried to apply the brakes momentarily and then stopped. This happened on the I280 Northbound Lawrence Expressway exit headed towards the stop light at the Stevens Creek Blvd junction. The ground was slightly damp, but there were no apparent objects in the road.
Car lost power and two messages appeared “ Electrical system error Park vehicle in a safe place” “ Engine control error Park vehicle in a safe place”
This car completely shut down on a busy motorway and would not restart while blocking traffic. I called Porsche Auto service for a tow on a flatbed truck. They did not arrive for almost 5 hours while the car was dead standing still on a busy major intersection. Porsche has had this car in repair and have still not updated what caused the problem or scarier yet IF it will happen again. This car has less than 1400 miles and is only. 3 months old.
