We have had our truck taken to Nyle Maxwell in Taylor Texas and they have were suppose to check the truck because two lights came up on the dash board which dash ESP ABS and traction control light.The shift stick was stuck in park. They towed it to there shop but the lights were off and the gear shift was working. I drove off the lot had to stop at a light and my truck veered left sharply. They have looked at this problem twice. They are not finding anything but it is my truck I drive with my kids. We need so help. They also had to fix the ac and the serpentine belt because that broke while I was driving after they said it was good and safe to drive.
The contact owns a 2010 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, there was an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle. The contact stated that the ESP, traction control, and ABS warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the tire pressure pump was replaced but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and they stated that the ABS module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the part was no longer available. The failure mileage was 108,000.
BRAKES FAILED APPROACHING A VERY BUSY INTERSECTION, WHILE TRYING TO SLOW DOWN FROM A 55-MPH ZONE. THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WITH NO BRAKE RESPONSE. LUCKILY, I HAD THE SENSE TO PUMP THE BRAKES QUICKLY BEFORE PLOWING INTO THE BUSY INTERSECTION! TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP AND WAS INFORMED AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO THE MASTER BOOST PUMP, BUT THEY DID NOT HAVE ONE IN STOCK. BASICALLY, GOT MY TRUCK BACK A WEEK LATER AND WAS IN SHOCK OVER THE COST TO REPLACE ABOUT A $125 PART (AROUND $500). I NOTICED THAT THERE HAD BEEN RECALLS PERTAINING TO PROBLEMS IN THIS AREA WITH PREVIOUS YEAR MODELS AND EVEN 2010 YEAR MODELS, BUT WAS INFORMED THAT MY PARTICULAR VIN# WAS NOT AFFECTED...THINK THEY MAY NEED TO LOOK INTO THIS TO AVOID SOMEONE POSSIBLY BEING KILLED OR KILLING SOMEONE FROM A SIMILAR PROBLEM! COULD HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC! AT THE VERY MINIMUM, DODGE SHOULD ISSUE A TSB AND SHOULD REFUND $$ FOR THE REPAIR!
TRYING TO DO BUYBACK PROGRAM. I PAID OVER $37,000, ONLY HAVE 55000 MILES , GOOD CONDITION AND ONLY BEING OFFERED $12000. I STILL OWE $3025.00 ON MY LOAN. I THOUGHT IT WAS FAIR MARKET VALUE? PLEASE HELP. I HAVE 6 KIDS I DRIVE EVERY DAY TO 3 SCHOOLS PLUS WORK. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY FRONT END STARTED TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY, I STARTED TO SLOW DOWN BUT IT DIDN'T HELP UNTIL I CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP . THE NEXT MORNING I DROVE IT TO THE BEST SERVICE SHOP IN TOWN WHICH WAS 1/2 MILE FROM WHERE I LIVED AND IT TOOK THEM A MONTH AND $1700.00 LATER TO REPAIR. FRONT AXLE,FRONT BEARING,CALIPERS, A NEW DISC AND BRAKES,A FRONT NUCKLE AND DRIVE SPINDLE FOR THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE.
