2010 DODGE RAM 1500. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE STALLED AND CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. CONSUMER STATES REAR AXLE LOCKED UP. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN THE REAR AXLE LOCKED UP, HIS WIFE WAS THEN HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE AND SUFFERED INJURIES. *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A CLICKING SOUND AND THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM SHUT DOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE DIAGNOSIS WAS THAT THE HVAC CONTROL HEAD NEEDED RE-PROGRAMMING AND THE ACTUATORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 71,000.
APPROXIMATELY A YEAR AGO I BEGAN EXPERIENCING LIGHTING PROBLEMS, FLICKERING ALL AROUND; AND WITH TRUCK OFF THE REMOTE WOULD RANDOMLY, CONTINUOUSLY LOCK THE DOORS. I FINALLY BROKE THE REMOTE TO MAKE IT STOP. NOW MY DRIVER SIDE TAIL LIGHT WON'T WORK. I NEEDED MY INSPECTION/REGISTRATION BUT COULDN'T GET IT UNTIL THE LIGHT IS REPAIRED. MY MECHANIC SAID IT'S THE FUSE BOX, SAID IT'S IN HORRIBLE CONDITION. MORE PROBLEMS ARE POSSIBLE. PARTS & LABOR WILL BE NEAR $850. VARIOUS FORUMS ARE INUNDATED WITH SIMILAR COMPLAINTS. A FRIEND OF A CO-WORKER'S TRUCK BURNT TO THE GROUND IN HIS DRIVEWAY (AND SINGED THE HOUSE) BECAUSE THE FUSE BOX DIDN'T TELL THE FUEL PUMP TO SHUT OFF. WITH THAT AND MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS I'VE READ I'M NOW VERY FEARFUL FOR MY SAFETY. DODGE/CHRYSLER NEEDS TO REPLACE THE FUSE BOX IMMEDIATELY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. *TR
WE WERE DRIVING OUR 2010 DODGE RAM 1500 ON A COUNTY HIGHWAY WHEN WE HEARD A LOUD WHIRRING NOISE. AS WE APPROACHED A DOWNHILL SECTION AND MY HUSBAND TOOK HIS FOOT OFF THE GAS THE NOISE WENT AWAY, BUT CAME BACK LOUDER AS SOON AS HE PUT HIS FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR. INSTANTLY THERE WAS A BIG BOOM AND THE REAR END OF THE VEHICLE LOCKED UP, THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE SWERVING WITH THE BACK END JACK KNIFING ON THE ROAD WHILE BOUNCING/BUCKING LIKE MOTION GIVEN THE TIRES FELT AS THOUGH THEY WERE ALSO LOCKED UP. WE COULD FEEL AND HEAR SOMETHING UNDER THE CAR BASHING THE UNDERCARRIAGE. THERE WERE NO ONCOMERS FORTUNATELY AND MY HUSBAND DID MANAGE TO STOP THE VEHICLE JUST SHORT OF THE GUARDRAIL AND GOING OVER THE RAVINE. THE CAR WAS STILL HALF IN THE LANE .. HORIZONTAL TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. HE TURNED ON THE HAZARDS AND I JUMPED OUT, IT WAS DARK WITH NO LIGHTING ON THE ROAD AND HARD TO SEE UNTIL THE CAR BEHIND US STOPPED TO SEE IF WE WERE OK AND SAID OUR DRIVE SHAFT HAD DISCONNECTED. WE REMOVED OUR 2 YOUNG CHILDREN FROM THEIR CARSEATS, WAITED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE MEN TRIED TO MOVE THE TRUCK OUT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC BUT THE TIRES WERE LOCKED. WE CALLED 911 FOR THE POLICE TO GIVE OUR CHILDREN A SAFER PLACE TO STAY OUT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND TO PROVIDE DIRECTION TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC AS WE HAD A TOW TRUCK COME OUT TO BRING THE CAR TO THE NEARBY DODGE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP LOOKED AT THE CAR, INFORMED US IT WAS PART OF A RECALL BUT THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX IT IN STOCK. THEY DID NOT OFFER AN ALTERNATE VEHICLE TO US AND WE ARE STILL AWAITING WORD ON WHAT IS HAPPENING AT ALMOST A WEEK AFTER THIS INCIDENT TOOK PLACE. FOR ME THE INTEGRITY OF THE ENTIRE DRIVE SHAFT, UNDERCARRIAGE AND ALL EQUIPMENT/COMPONENTS OF THE VEHILE, TIRES WHICH WERE SHOWING SIGNS OF EXTREME WEAR AND LOW ON AIR ARE ALL NOW COMPROMISED. *JS
A/C DID NOT PUT OUT COLD AIR. ISSUES WITH A ACUATER DOOR BEHIND THE DASHBOARD AT 15K. THEN AT ABOUT 36K THE A/C WAS PUTTING OUT WARM AIR AGAIN. THE DEALER REPLACED A REGULATOR FOR THE COMPRESSOR. THE TRUCK HAS 75K AND THE EVAPERATIVE COOLER BEHIND THE DASHBOARD IS LEAKING AND NEEDS REPLACED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL POP HEARD FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT THEN APPLIED THE BRAKES AND A LOUD THUD WAS HEARD FROM THE VEHICLE. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE AXLE HAD FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING DIAGNOSIS OF THE FAILURE. ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTACT HAD PREVIOUSLY RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V038000 (POWER TRAIN) HOWEVER, THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THE RECALL SERVICE WERE NOT READILY AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RECALL REPAIRS HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE TIME FRAME. THE MANUFACTURE WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000. JUST GOT OFF THE INTERSTATE ABOUT A MILE UP THE ROAD HEARD A LOUD BAND/POP AND THE TRUCK JERKED CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. CALLED A TOW TRUCK AND THE REAR WHEELS R LOCKED UP DEF. LOCKED UP THIS IS CAUSED BY A RECALL ON THE PINION NUT. *TR
I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO FOWLER DODGE IN OKLAHOMA CITY TO HAVE A RECALL PERFORMED. (REAR AXLE PINION NUT-N08/NHTSA) I DROPPED MY VEHICLE OFF AT 9:30 A.M. AND INFORMED THE SERVICE TECH, [XXX], THAT I NEEDED MY VEHICLE BACK BEFORE THE END OF THE DAY BECAUSE IT WAS MY ONLY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION. AFTER WAITING 8 HOURS I DEMANDED A LOANER SO THAT I COULD HAVE TRANSPORTATION WHILE MY TRUCK WAS BEING SERVICED. I HAD ALSO REQUESTED AN OIL CHANGE. WHEN I ARRIVED BACK AT THE DEALER TO SPEAK WITH A MANAGER ABOUT A LOANER I WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD ONLY BE ANOTHER HALF AN HOUR. AT ABOUT 5:00 P.M. I WAS TOLD MY TRUCK WAS READY. WHEN I ASKED [XXX] IF THE INSIDE OF THE AXLE LOOKED OKAY HE REPLIED THAT THEY DIDN'T INSPECT THE INSIDE BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT THEY WOULD HAVE THE TRUCK OVERNIGHT AND THAT THEY ONLY PUT A RETAINER ON THE NUT SO THAT I COULD HAVE MY TRUCK BACK. ON MARCH 22, 2014 MY WIFE STEPPED ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE NERF BAR TO ENTER THE TRUCK. BEFORE SHE COULD ENTER THE NERF BAR PULLED COMPLETELY OUT OF THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE AND FELL TO THE GROUND. I IMMEDIATELY TOOK THE TRUCK TO A DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND POSSIBLE REPAIR. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE FACTORY WOULD NOT COVER THE REPAIR UNLESS THERE WAS RUST OR CORROSION ON THE BODY. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND THE REPRESENTATIVE TOLD ME THE SAME THING. I TRIED TO FILE WITH MY INSURANCE, BUT THEY REFUSED COVERAGE BECAUSE IT WAS A FACTORY DEFECT. I WAS ABLE TO FIND A SHOP TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. THEY HAD TO SPECIAL ORDER SIX REINFORCED PLATES WITH RIVNUTS TO REPAIR BOTH SIDES BECAUSE THE PASSENGER SIDE WAS PULLING OUT OF THE METAL AS WELL. THE TOTAL COST CAME TO $519.83. THE SHOP SAID THIS WAS A DODGE RAM SPECIFIC PROBLEM THAT THEY HAD SEEN BEFORE. *TR
HORNS BEGAN HONKING RANDOMLY WHEN THE TRUCK WAS OFF AND NO ONE WAS IN IT OR WHILE IT WAS BEING DRIVEN. AT ONE TIME THEY BEGAN HONKING WHILE IN TRAFFIC CAUSING PANIC TO THE SURROUNDING TRAVELERS. I HAD TO DISCONNECT THEM WHICH NOW POSES A SAFETY RISK TO ME AND MY FAMILY. DEALER SAYS IT IS THE TIPM WHICH CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF AND HAS IT SHE RECALLS ON OTHER MODELS WITH THE SAME CONFIGURATION AS MY TRUCK. NOW THE TRUCK HAS TO BE INSPECTED FOR SAFETY TO KEEP THE LICENSE PLATES CORRECT AND IT WILL NOT PASS WITHOUT PERFORMING A $1200 REPAIR ON A PART THAT IS KNOWN TO BE DEFECTIVE. ALSO, THE FUEL PUMPS STOPPED WORKING AND WERE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY BUT THE TECHNICIAN SAID THE PROBLEM WAS IN THE POME BUT THE TECHNICIAN SAID THE PROBLEM WAS IN THE PUMP IN FACT IT WAS THE TIPM BUT SINCE THERE WAS NO RECALL AND THE TRUCK WAS THEM OUT OF WARRANTY IT WAS UP TO ME TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR.

JUST BOUGHT THIS TRUCK A FEW MONTHS AGO AND THE RACK AND PINON STEERING RACK IS LEAKING AND NOW HAS TO BE REPLACE BY THE DEALERSHIP. *TR
DEFROSTER STOP BLOWING ON WINDSHIELD, HOWEVER, IT WOULD BLOW OUT OTHER VENTS, TECH FOUND THAT THE MODE 2 ACTUATOR HAD AN INTERNAL OPEN CIRCUIT, DEALER REMOVED AND REPLACED THE MODE 2 ACTUATOR. I SUBMITTED DOCUMENTATION FOR REIMBURSEMENT SINCE THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM. [XXX]. MY CLAIM WAS DENIED , I WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE DID NOT HAVE A RECALL. LEAVING WORK,I ATTEMPTED TO TURN AT INTERSECTION AND STEERING SEEMED TO LOCK, THEN I WAS ABLE TO TURN WITH GREAT EFFORT.TOOK TO DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD RACK AND PINION UNIT HAD FAILED.AT 47000 MILES THIS SEEMS TO BE A MANUFACTURING DEFECT THAT NEEDS ATTENTION BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY INJURED. *TR
WHEN THE LIGHT ARE ON ON THE MIRROR THEY DIM OUT I NOT SURE IF THERE IS A SHORT OF WHAT BUT BOTH OF THEM DO IT! IF THERE IS A SHORT IT MIGHT CAUSE A FIRE. WHAT SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT THIS? *TR
GAS WAS SPRAYING OUT AFTER FILL UP AND HAD TO GET GAS TANK REPLACED BECAUSE OF A BAD CHECK VALUE ON THE TANK. THIS HAS BEEN A KNOWN PROBLEM FOR SEVERAL DODGE VEHICLES. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE ABNORMALLY PULLED TO THE RIGHT. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE BACK AND NECK. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE CONTACT HAD ALSO RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V038000 (POWER TRAIN) BUT HAD NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 175,000.
RECALL NOTICE #2 CAME THIS WEEK....THIS RECALL HAS BEEN OUT FOR ALMOST A YEAR...MY DEALER SAYS THERE ARE NO PARTS TO FIX THE RECALL AND DOES NOT KNOW WHEN DODGE WILL SEND THEM OUT. REAR AXEL PINION SHAFT NUT / SHAFT SPLINE PROBLEM. WHY SEND OUT A RECALL W/O A FIX IN HAND OR AT LEAST SCHEDULED?? *TR
MY TRUCK STARTED MAKING SOUND FROM THE REAR AXLE WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON AND OFF THE HIGHWAY. I SLOWED DOWN TO SEE IF IT HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE TRANSMISSION THEN I COULD SENSE THAT THE DRIVE TRAIN WAS SOMEHOW LAGGING WHILE ACCELERATING AND DECELERATING. I DROVE AT ABOUT 40-60 MPH ALL DAY AND DECIDED TO DROP IT OFF AT A DODGE DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE. NEXT DAY, I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE SERVICE PERSON EXPLAINING THAT MY TRUCK'S DRIVE SHAFT FELL DOWN AS SOON AS HE TOOK IT OUT TO A TEST DRIVE ON INTERSTATE 10. HE TOLD ME THAT THE TRUCK HAD TO BE TOWED BACK TO THE GARAGE WITH THE DRIVE SHAFT GETTING DRAGGED ON THE GROUND. THE DEALERSHIP MANAGER AND I BOTH HAD TO MAKE A NUMEROUS PHONE CALL TO CHRYSLER ABOUT THIS INCIDENT AND THE CHRYSLER REPRESENTATIVE AGREED THAT IT WAS DUE TO A RECALL THAT I HAD NOT HAVE. CHRYSLER REP., AFTER 3 HOURS OF TALKING ON THE PHONE AND WAITING, AGREED TO COMPENSATE FOR THE REPAIR AND THE DEALERSHIP PUT THE DRIVE SHAFT, WHICH HAD BEEN DRAGGED ON THE GROUND FOR 1/4 MILE, BACK TO MY TRUCK WITHOUT REPLACING IT. EVER SINCE THEN, IT HAS BEEN MAKING A VERY ANNOYING "WHINING" SOUND FROM THE REAR AXLE AT LOW SPEED(10-40MPH) UNTIL TODAY. I THOUGHT IT WAS MY MISTAKE TO BUY A CHRYSLER PRODUCT THAT HAD SO MANY RECALLS AND PROBLEMS UNTIL I SAW A NEWSPAPER ARTICLE TALKING ABOUT CHRYSLER'S RECALL INCIDENT. TODAY, I REALIZED THAT THIS INCIDENT I HAD WAS NOT EVEN THE PART OF DODGE RAM'S RECALL. I COULD HAVE GOTTEN INTO A SEVERE ACCIDENT IN THE MIDDLE OF BUSY I10 IN HOUSTON IF I HAD TO DRIVE ANOTHER MILE ON THE DAY BEFORE I DROPPED IT OFF AT THE DEALERSHIP.
IT IS -15 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT TODAY IN WISCONSIN AT NOON. SOMETHING IN THE HVAC SYSTEM QUIT WORKING. THE HEAT WORKS GREAT, BUT WHEN I CHANGE THE SELECTOR FROM FLOOR/VENT/DEFROST NOTHING HAPPENS. THE HEAT ONLY BLOWS ON THE FLOOR. I HEAR A CONSTANT (FLAPPING) NOISE FROM UNDER THE DASH BOARD. I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES STARTING AND TURNING OFF THE TRUCK, ADJUSTING THE SELECTOR KNOB TO APPLY THE AIR TO ALL POSITIONS AND IT STILL ONLY BLOWS ON MY FEET. KEEPS ON FLAPPING UNDER THE DASH BOARD. HOW IS IT (SAFE) TO DRIVE WITHOUT HAVING OPERATIONAL WINDSHIELD DEFROST. I LOOKED ONLINE AT SEVERAL FORUMS AND HAVE SEEN MANY OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL REPORT THE PROBLEM AS I AM DOING NOW. ITS GOING TO BE COLD TONIGHT AGAIN SINCE IT WILL BE WINTER AROUND HERE FOR ANOTHER 2-3 MONTHS, SO I HOPE I AM SAFE TILL IT GET FIXED. I TRULY HOPE THIS REPORT GETS FIXED AS THIS IN MY OPINION IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. ITS LIKE DRIVING BLIND OR MYSELF AND OTHERS WITH THIS PROBLEM MAY AS WELL BE TEXTING AND DRIVING IF WE CANT SEE OUT THE WINDSHIELD. SORRY IF THIS COMES OFF WITH AN ATTITUDE. WE HAVE A 2010 DODGE RAM 1500 WITH APPROXIMATELY 32000 MILES THE HVAC ACTUATOR GEARS ON OUR VEHICLE ARE BROKEN. I HAVE FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS VERY THING FOR 2010 DODGE RAM TRUCKS. HOWEVER WHEN I CALLED CHRYSLER I WAS TOLD MY VIN # WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL. BECAUSE IT WAS MANUFACTURED AT A DIFFERENT PLANT. THE COST OF THIS REPAIR IS APPROXIMATELY $1000.00 I HAVE A LETTER THAT WAS SENT TO THE AFFECTED OWNERS IT WAS MARKED NOTIFICATION CODE K17 IT IS TITLED: REPROGRAM HVAC CONTROL HEAD AND INSPECT/REPLACE ACTUATORS. *TR
AT ABOUT 65000 MILES I STARTED HEARING A "TICKING" SOUND FROM THE ENGINE, WHEN IT WAS COLD. I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS HAD BROKEN, THIS CAUSES EXHAUST FUMES TO ENTER THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT DURING THE WINTER WHEN USING THE HEATER, AND THE SUMMER USING THE AIR CONDITIONER. . I BELIEVE THAT THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY CHRYSLER USING SUBSTANDARD MATERIALS FOR THESE BOLTS. THIS SEEMS TO BE A CHRONIC PROBLEM WITH THE "HEMI" ENGINE, SO MUCH SO THAT THERE ARE YOU TUBE VIDEOS SHOWING HOW TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. THE DEALER ESTIMATED THE REPAIR COST TO BE $ 1800.00. AS TIME GOES BY I FELT THAT THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL, DUE TO THE FACT THAT THIS WAS NEVER A PROBLEM WITH OLDER VEHICLES, AND IT HAPPENED AROUND 65,000 MILES THOUGH I TOOK IT IN AROUND 70000 MILES FOR THE ESTIMATE. THESE BOLTS SHOULD OUTLAST THE USEFUL LIFE OF THE VEHICLE IF THEY WERE MADE OF THE PROPER MATERIALS OR WERE PROPERLY HEAT TREATED. IT SEEMS TO BE A REGULAR OCCURRING PROBLEM WITH DODGE RAMS WITH THE HEMI ENGINE. THE DATE OF THE ESTIMATE IS APPROXIMATE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED. IN ADDITION, THE KEY INDEPENDENTLY SHIFTED FROM THE ON POSITION TO THE ACCESSORY POSITION. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000. WHEN I FILL THE TANK AND USE THE HANDLE'S CLASP AT THE PUMP, GAS OVERFILLS AND SPILLS. DOESN'T MATTER WHAT GAS STATION OR PUMP. I HAVE TO LISTEN FOR THE FILL SOUND TO CHANGE AND STOP IT EARLY. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID A BAD INLET CHECK VALUE. SAID I NEED A NEW GAS TANK. I HAVE WARRANTY WITH A 100 DEDUCTIBLE BUT I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY THIS SINCE THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE LOWER CONTROL ARM, CV AXLE AND THE PASSENGER'S SIDE FENDER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 71,493.
ON DECEMBER 26 I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 55 MPG WHEN I HEARD A LOUD NOISE AND JUST AFTER THAT MY BACK WHEELS LOCKED UP LEAVING ME STICK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY AT THIS TIME I ALSO WAS PULLING A CAR TRAILER WITCH MADE IT A LOT MORE DANGEROUS AS A MAN DRIVING A TRUCK STOPPED TO HELP US GET OUT OF THE ROAD A MAN DRIVING A HONDA RAN IN TO THE BACK OF THE TRAILER WILE I WAS UNDER THE TRUCK TYING A STRAP TO PULL IT OUT OF THE WAY SO NOW WE HAD AN ACCIDENT ON OUR HANDS. AFTER LOOKING UP THE TRUCK I FOUND OUT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PART SO I CALLED THE LOCAL DODGE DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT HELP ME BECAUSE I HAD PURCHASED THE TRUCK IN MEXICO WITCH SOUNDS LIKE BULL TO ME CAN U GUYS HELP ME GET MY RECALL ON MY TRUCK AND GET IT FIXED. *TR
DODGE SEEMS TO HAVE A KNOWN ISSUE CAUSING THE HEADLIGHTS TO NOT WORK THAT IS UNRELATED TO THE CONDITION OF THE LAMP ITSELF OR A FUSE. APPARENTLY A $500+ PART IS REQUIRED. MANY PEOPLE CANNOT AFFORD THIS REPAIR AND GO WITHOUT HEADLIGHTS INSTEAD CAUSING OBVIOUS SAFETY ISSUES. *TR

THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE ([XXX]) WAS RUDE AND PUT THE REPAIR OFF FOR AN ADDITIONAL MONTH FROM TODAY'S DATE. I OWN A 2010 DODGE RAM SLT. I RECENTLY HAD IT IN TO HAVE THE REAR AXLE PINION NUT REPLACED AND WAS TOLD I HAVE BAD TIE ROD ENDS. AT 46,000 MILES I FOUND THIS HARD TO BELIEVE. AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATION IT WAS ACCURATE THAT MY TIE ROD ENDS WERE BAD. I REPLACED BOTH TIE ROD ENDS AT 46,000 MILES. THEN HAD TO PAY FOR AN ALIGNMENT OF COURSE. THIS IS A HUGE CONCERN FOR ME BECAUSE I TRANSPORT MY CHILDREN TO AND FROM SCHOOL DAILY. HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT AT 46,000 MILES MY TIE ROD ENDS NEED REPLACEMENT. THIS COULD HAVE ALSO LED TO MY TIRES NEEDING TO BE REPLACED AT 36,000 MILES EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE ROTATED EVERY 6 K. CHRYSLER HAS ISSUED A RECALL FOR RAM 2500 AND UP FOR REPLACING THE TIE ROD ENDS BECAUSE OF MOISTURE AND DIRT THAT GETS INTO THE BALL AND SOCKET. MAYBE THEY SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED THE 1500 AS WELL. *TR

I HAVE RAIL DUST ALL OVER MY PAINT. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS IS IT IS SMALL FLAKES OF STEEL THAT COME UP OFF OF THE RAILWAY WHEN A TRAIN HITS ITS BRAKES. BECAUSE THESE VEHICLES ARE TRANSPORTED VIA RAILROADS THEY ALL WILL HAVE THIS PROBLEM. THE TRAIN HITS ITS BRAKES AND THE SMALL FLAKES OF STEEL ARE SO HOT THAT THEY EMBED IN THE PAINT. YOU CAN REMOVE SOME OF THIS RUST BY USING A CLAY BAR BUT YOU WILL NEVER GET IT ALL REMOVED. I OWNED A 2008 RAM THAT HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. IT IS SURFACE RUST AND LOOKS HORRIBLE. I ALSO HAVE RUST ON ALL OF MY CHROME PARTS AS WELL. THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM FOR A TRUCK THAT IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD. TO HAVE RUST ALL OVER THE TRUCK IS RIDICULOUS. DODGE NEEDS TO RECTIFY THIS PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY. OTHER VEHICLE MANUFACTURERS THAT USE THE RAILWAY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. MANUFACTURERS THAT DON'T USE THE RAILWAY DO NOT. *TR
WHILE DRIVING MY 2010 DODGE POWER WAGON ( CC, 5.7 LITER ENGINE WITH NO MODIFICATION) AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS I HIT A SMALL BUMP AND THE FRONT END BEGAN TO "SHIMMY", REALLY BOUNCE OUT OF CONTROL FOR A MOMENT OR TWO. MY TIRES ON MY TRUCK ARE WEARING EXTREMELY UNEVENLY EVEN WITH CONSTANT TIRE ROTATIONS. GOOD YEAR TELLS ME IT IS AN ISSUE WITH DODGE, DODGE TELLS ME IT IS WITHIN GOODYEAR. THE TIRES ONLY HAVE 31,258 MILES ON THEM AND HAVE BEEN SHOWING EXCESSIVE WEAR. I ONLY DRIVE THE TRUCK TO & FROM WORK, DO NOT TAKE IT OFF ROADING WHICH WOULD WEAR THE TIRES EVEN MORE. I WAS INSTRUCTED BY GOODYEAR NOT TO TAKE THE TRUCK FOR LONG DRIVES IN THE RAIN OR UP TO THE SNOW WHEN IT STARTS TO SNOW HERE. AFTER DODGE LOOKED AT THEM THEY REFERRED ME TO GOODYEAR SAYING THE ONLY THING THEY CAN THINK OF IS THE TRUCK HAS ALOT OF ITS POWER ON THE RIGHT SIDE, ANOTHER EXCUSE. I HAVE RESEARCHED AND FOUND THAT RIGHT AROUND THE 30,000 MILE MARK IS WHEN ALOT OF OTHER DODGE RAM OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THIS KIND OF PROBLEM WITH THE TIRES.
