FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT STOPPED WORKING. READS EMPTY. APPEARS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER BEGAN TO PULSATE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED FOR THE LAST TWO WEEKS AND OCCURRED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND IDLING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,900.
2014 RAM PICKUP WITH 68K MILES. DRIVING WITH 3/4 TANK OF GAS ON A FREEWAY AT 65 MPH AND THE FUEL GAUGE WENT TO E AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THEN A FUEL LEVEL SENSOR FAIL WARNING POPPED UP. CALLED DEALERSHIP, SAID IT WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND THEY REPLACE A LOT OF THESE A MONTH, BALLPARKED COST TO BE AROUND $1,000. SPOKE TO SEVERAL LOCAL MECHANICS THAT SAID THE EXACT SAME THING, KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE SENSOR THAT REQUIRES THE TANK TO BE DROPPED TO FIX. WHEN TANK IS FULL, TRUCK FUNCTIONS FINE. ONCE TANK DROPS TO APPROX. 3/4 OF A TANK, EVERYTHING COMES BACK (CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, FUEL LEVEL SENSOR FAIL). CHRYSLER CANNOT BE PUTTING INFERIOR PARTS ON THEIR VEHICLES AND EXPECT CONSUMERS TO PAY FOR THEIR GREED.
MY 2014 DODGE RAM BLOWS A POWDER OUT OF THE VENTS. I WAS DRIVING DOWN I5 DOING ABOUT 60 MPH AND MY HEATER KICKED ON BLOWING A WHITE POWDER FROM THE VENTS INTO MY EYES. I WAS TEMPORARILY BLINDED AND ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF MY TRUCK. I WAS ABLE TO SQUINT OUT OF 1 EYE AND GET PULLED OVER SAFELY TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I BELIEVE MY CONTACTS SAVED MY EYES. AS THE EVAPORATOR STARTS BREAKING DOWN IT ALLOWS A POWDER TO FORM THAT CAN BLOW IN YOUR FACE. DODGE SHOULD HAVE SOMETHING INSTALLED IN FRONT OF THE EVAPORATOR THAT WOULD PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING.
THE STEERING OF THE WHEEL IS ROUGH. I HAVE TO USE SMALL MOVEMENTS. IT'S LIKE SOMETHING IS STUCK OR NO POWER STEERING FLUID. SINCE THERE IS NO FLUID, ONLY ELECTRICAL, THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE ELECTRICAL PORTION OF THE POWER STEERING PUMP
WHILE DRIVING THE 2014 RAM 1500 THE VEHICLE HAS LOST POWER NUMEROUS TIMES. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT ISSUE AND I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DUPLICATE ON THE SPOT. THIS MEANS THAT THE LOSE OF POWER CAN HAPPEN AT ANY GIVEN TIME. THIS LOSE OF POWER WILL RESULT IN LOSING STEERING AND SOMETIMES BRAKING, SINCE ALL ARE CONTROLLED BY ELECTRONICS. THESE OCCURRENCES HAVE HAPPENED WHILE NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS; ROLLING UP WINDOWS, TURNING ON BRIGHT LIGHTS, AND JUST DRIVING.
AFTER PARKING MY VEHICLE IN MY DRIVEWAY WITH THE REAR ON THE UPPER SIDE OF A SLIGHT INCLINE AND PLACING THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND SHUTTING ENGINE OFF, THE VEHICLE STRARTS ROLLING DOWNWARD FOR APPROXIAMATELY 5 TO 7 FEET, EVENTUALLY STOPPING. FIRSTED NOTICED YESTERDAY, 12/3/19 AND THEN AGAIN TODAY.THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE AND A SAFETY CONCERN. I READ ON ONLINE THAT IT MAY BE RELATED TO ISSUES WITH THE BRAKE TRANSMISSION SHIFT INTERLOCK.
With less than 50,000 miles on the vehicle, the fuel sensor went out and the check engine light came on. I replaced the fuel sensor and the fuel pump and it still did not correct the issue. After doing some research, I found this is known and common issue that is deserving of a recall.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS WERE CRACKING, WHICH CAUSED FUMES TO LEAK INTO THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS AND THE WARRANTY EXPIRED TWO MONTHS AGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REPAIRS COMPLETED UNDER THE WARRANTY WERE STILL FAILING. DIEHL CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF ROBINSON (6181 STEUBENVILLE PIKE, MCKEES ROCKS, PA 15136, (412) 722-1800) ACKNOWLEDGED THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT IT OCCURRED OFTEN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 88,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
WHILE DRIVING AT INTERSTATE SPEEDS FOR APPROXIMATELY 130 MILES (2.5 HOURS), VEHICLE SPUTTERED AND LOST POWER, IT STABILIZED AT~40 MPH. A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND RED LIGHTING BOLT DISPLAYED. WE EXITED THE INTERSTATE AND MADE COURSE TO A DEALERSHIP UTILIZING SMALLER HWYS. EN-ROUTE TO THE REPAIR SHOP, AT ABOUT 40 MPH, VEHICLE STARTED EMITTING SMOKE TO INCLUDE INSIDE THE CABIN. STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND EVACUATED ALL 4 PEOPLE INSIDE. FLAMES AND HEAVY SMOKE SOON BECAME VISIBLE AS WE WATCHED FROM AFAR. LARGE FLAMES GREW AND QUICKLY ENGULFED THE WHOLE VEHICLE. FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED AND PUT OUT THE FIRE.
THE ODB HARNESS PLUG IN THAT THE READER PLUGS IN IS CORRODED AND THE READER WILL NOT WORK.THEY CAN NOT PLUG IN TO DO THE RECALLS. TRUCK HAS 32000 MILES AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN KEPT IN A GARAGE AND DRY. THEY WANT 836.36 TO REPLACE AND WILL NOT COVER UNDER WARRANTY. IT IS UNDER THE DASH UNDER STEERING WILL AND SHOULD NOT HAVE CORRODED.
2014 DODGE RAM. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO PROBLEMS WITH IGNITION, LIGHTS AND TRANSMISSION. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON A HILL WHEN IT BEGAN TO ROLL BACKWARDS AND CRASHED THROUGH A GATE. THE CONSUMER GRABBED THE WHEEL, FROM STANDING OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE, DIRECTING THE VEHICLE TOWARDS AN EMBANKMENT, WHERE IT LANDED. THE VEHICLE DRAGGED THE CONSUMER ALONG THE WAY. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS ON. THE CONSUMER STATED THE KEY FALLS OUT OF THE IGNITION, BUT THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO RUN. THE MILEAGE WOULD NOT APPEAR ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE HEADLIGHTS WERE NOT ADJUSTABLE. *JS
THE RADIO JUST STOPS WORKING. I HAVE THE CONNECT 5.0 MY SCREEN WILL FLASH BACK AND FOURTH FROM THE BACK UP CAMERA TO A BLUE SCREEN WHILE I'M DRIVING. THIS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING.
VB1 RECALL IS HAPPENING TO MY TRUCK AND STILL UNKNOWN SOLUTION AND PARTS AREN'T AVAILABLE. IS THE TRUCK OK TO DRIVE, WILL IT BE ON FIRE? BULLETPROOF DIESEL LOOKS LIKE A GREAT OPTION.
I HAVE A 2014 RAM WITH AROUND 48K MILES. BACK IN FEBRUARY WHILE DRIVING I LOST STEERING. LUCKILY, I WAS ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF A ONCOMING VEHICLE. I HAD MY TRUCK TOWED DUE TO THE SAFETY ISSUE OF NOT BEING ABLE TO STEER INTO MY NORMAL SERVICE DEALER. THEY REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR STATING THAT WAS THE ISSUE THAT MADE THE TRUCK LOSE STEERING. SINCE THEN I HAVE TAKEN THE TRUCK BACK A FEW TIMES WITH STEERING ISSUES AND THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO 'DUPLICATE' THE ISSUE SO CANNOT FIX IT. THIS PAST FRIDAY 11/15/2019 I WENT TO LEAVE MY HOUSE AND ONCE AGAIN WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE TRUCK IT LOST STEERING AND THIS TIME POWER DROPPED. I AGAIN HAD IT TOWED INTO THE SERVICE DEALER ON 11/18/2019. TODAY 11/22/2019 THEY STATED THAT AGAIN THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. THEY DID FIND ERROR CODES ABOUT VOLTAGE BUT HOWEVER STATED THAT THE COMPUTER 'FIXED ITSELF' AND CANNOT FIX THE STEERING ISSUES. WITH ALL THIS I LOVE MY TRUCK, HOWEVER WITH THE WITH THE SAFETY OF MYSELF, MY FAMILY, AND OTHERS ON THE ROAD IN MIND DRIVING THIS TRUCK WHILE THE STEERING CAN POSSIBLY GO OUT AT ANY TIME IS NOT A GOOD IDEA BY ANY MEANS.
GETTING WARNING TO IMMEDIATELY SERVICE AIR SUPENSION SYSTEM, WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY. CHECKED OBD-II READER AND ZERO CODES COME UP. READ RAM FORUMS WITH SEVERAL COMPLAINST, ALL STATING ISSUE WHEN TEMPERATURES WERE NEAR FREEZING. MINE STARTED TO SHOW MESSAGES AFTER OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE DROPPED TO AND BELOW FREEZING.
FUEL GAGE DROPS TO EMPTY AND CAUSES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON. IT HAPPENS UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE OR WHEN DRIVING.
WASN'T SURE IF THIS FELL UNDER POWER TRAIN OR ENGINE ITSELF. 2014 RAM 1500 3.6L ENGINE. OIL FILTER HOUSING IS PLASTIC. NOTICED AN OIL LEAK UPON CHANGING OIL. BROUGHT TO DEALER AND HOPED IT FELL UNDER POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. DID NOT QUALIFY SO I'M OUT ALMOST 1,000 FOR THE REPAIR. RESEARCHING, THIS IS A KNOWN COMMON PROBLEM. DEALER ATTRIBUTED IT TO BEING OVER TIGHTENED FILTER HOUSING. WELL RESEARCH SHOWS THIS HAPPENS DUE TO THE TEMPERATURE CYCLING OVER TIME. OIL LEAKING ONTO THE ENGINE MANIFOLD CREATES A FIRE HAZARD UNDER THE PROPER CONDITIONS. MANUFACTURER SHOULD PUT FORWARD A RECALL TO REPLACE THE HOUSINGS OR DESIGN ONE THAT IS METAL FOR AN ADEQUATE REPLACEMENT.
BROKEN EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS
THE LIFTERS ON THE 2 CYL. THAT SHUT OFF TO SAVE FUEL FAILED AND RUINED THE CAM SHAFT. THIS HAPPENED ON MY 2010 AND NOW ON MY 2014. IT STARTED BY SKIPPING AN LOWER RPMS AS YOU SPEED UP OR ON AN INCLINE AND THEN ONE DAY IT SET A CHECK ENGINE LITE AND SKIPPED ALL THE TIME.
AT ABOUT 49,000 MILES THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT CAME ON. AFTER DRIVING FOR SEVERAL DAYS THE LIGHT WOULD TURN OFF ON ITS OWN WHILE THE ENGINE WAS OFF. I THOUGHT THAT IT MAY BEEN THE GAS CAP, SO I REPLACED IT. THEN, WHILE DRIVING, THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT TURNED ON AGAIN, INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVING. I HAD IT CHECKED BY O' REILLYS AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE FUEL SYSTEM, PO463=2 6391451. WHEN I TURNED ON THE ENGINE, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS NOT ON. AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS I NOTICED THAT WHEN MY GAS WAS LESS THAN 3/4 FULL THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON AGAIN, WHILE DRIVING. MY GAS GAUGE AND MILE RANGE DROPPED TO ZERO. WHEN I FILLED THE GAS TANK THE GAUGE WENT BACK TO FULL WITH THE NUMBER OF MILE RANGE. AGAIN, WHEN THE GAS WAS ABOUT 3/4, THE GAUGE DROPPED OFF. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS NOW REMAINED ON CONSTANTLY.
I HAVE BEEN WAITING ON THIS RECALL FOR ALMOST A YEAR ON MY EGR COOLER AND NO DEALER CAN GET ONE TO REPLACE IT. I KNOW THAT COVID 19 HAS CAUSED PRODUCTION PROBLEM BUT, A YEAR IS TOO LONG! THIS VEHICLE SHOULD BE REPLACED AT FULL VALUE FOR WHAT I HAVE GONE THROUGH WITH IT. I HAVE FILLED OUT ALL FORMS AND SUBMITTED PROPERLY ON THE REIMBURSEMENT OF LOSS FROM CHRYSLER. I STILL HAVE RECEIVED NO CHECK FOR THAT. I CALL THE DEALER OFTEN AND GET NO RESPONSE OTHER THAN THAT THE PART HAS BEEN BACKORDERED AND NOT AVAILABLE. WHAT RECOURSE DO I HAVE IN THIS MATTER?
WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND MY DASH GAUGES GOES OUT AND THROWING A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE CODE RESULTED IN A FUEL LEVEL SENSOR A CIRCUIT HIGH . THE FUEL SENSORS IS DEFECTIVE AT 61000 MILES AND CAUSING MY DASH GAUSES NOT TO WORK.
FUEL GAUGE MISS READS, COMMON PROBLEM IN RAMS. FUEL LEVEL NOT KNOWN. 15K MILE 2014 RAM 1500.
NOTICED A SMALL LOSS OF RADIATOR FLUID, NO VISIBLE LEAK, BUT DID RECEIVE LETTER RELATING TO A DIESEL EGR COOLER DEFECT. NOW AM CONCERNED ABOUT STEAM LEAKING INTO MY ENGINE OIL AND THUS CONTAMINATING THE ENGINE OIL WITH DAMAGING EFFECTS ON THE ENGINE INTERNAL PARTS. EGR VALVE SHOULD ALSO BE EVALUATED AS IT DIRECTLY EFFECTS EGR COOLER.
THE TRUCK HAS AN EXAUST LEAK. IT'S ON THE PASSENGER SIDE MANIFOLD. THE BOLT BROKE FOR SOME REASON AND IS A BIG COMMON ISSUE IN THESE TRUCKS. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL BECAUSE THE BOLTS USED WASNT STRONG ENOUGH TO WITH STAND PRESSURE AND CORROSION. MY CRUISE CONTROL ALSO NO LONGER WORKS LIKE IT SHOULD. IT WILL GO INTO CRUISE CONTROL VERY RARELY AND WHEN IT DOES IT'S HARD TO GET IT OUT. I HAVE TO SHUT THE TRUCK OFF MOST OF THE TIME TO GET IT OUT OF CRUISE CONTROL MODE. THE LIGHTS THAT LUMINATE THE PRESS BUTTONS IN THE STEERING WHEEL FLICKER RANDOMLY. SO IT TELLS ME IT MUST BE A WIRING ISSUE OF SOME SORT. I'VE CONTACTED A DODGE DEALER SHIP AND THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM BUT THEY REFUSE TO FIX IT AS THEY SAY IT'S NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. I'M AFRAID WITH THE EXAUST LEAK THE EXTRA HEAT IN THE ENGINE BAY MAY RESULT IN MELTED WIRES OR EVEN WORSE A FIRE. THANK YOU FOR REVIEWING THIS PROBLEM.
The factory installed air suspension has failed more times than I can count. It’s has been going on for years mainly during the winter months, but so far this year with the warmer weather it still fails probably at least once or twice a week. This issue puts everyone in danger that is around these trucks while the are having these issues with the suspension air bags deflating when on public roadways. The truck is available for inspection anytime and I encourage you to follow up with any of these trucks with complaints that suffer the same issue because if you do maybe you will realize that we are not all just crazy. This is a serious issue that needs addressed by the manufacturer. The message of immediate air suspension service required shows on the dash, or air system cooling. The defect has been confirmed/observed/examined by multiple members of law enforcement because the truck is terrible to drive and bounces so bad as it drives straight down the road with minimal bumps. The report was mentioned to dealerships before but the act like they have never heard of this issue ♂️. I don’t know how that’s possible.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER: V08 (EMISSIONS); HOWEVER, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED EVER SINCE THE REMEDY WAS PERFORMED. ADDITIONALLY, THERE WAS SPUTTERING WHILE DRIVING AND FUMES WERE PRESENT INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL ECONOMY WENT FROM APPROXIMATELY 25 MILES PER GALLON TO 16 MILES PER GALLON. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BONIFACE-HIERS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP (1775 E MERRITT ISLAND CAUSEWAY, MERRITT ISLAND, FL 32952, (321) 452-8181) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE SOFTWARE UPDATE PER THE MANUFACTURER RECALL WAS UPDATED CORRECTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
HORN NO LONGER WORKS, BY PUSHING IT OR WITH KEY FOB LOCKING WHEN LOCKING MY TRUCK. I'VE READ THAT THIS HAS HAPPEN ON MULTIPLE RAM 1500S. MY JUST STOP WHEN EXITING MY TRUCK AND I NOTICE I DIDNT GET ANY BEEP WHEN TRYING TO SECURE MY TRUCK. CHECKED EVERY FUSE, RELAY, EVEN TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED IT FROM. ONLY HAD THE TRUCK FOR 4 WEEKS AND THEY TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $600. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND I SHOULDN'T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR A HORN NOT BEEPING..
DASH LIGHTS WILL NOT TURN OFF WHEN TRUCK IS TURNED OFF. HAVE TO DISCONNECT BATTERY FOR LIGHTS TO TURN OFF.
SMALL HOLES IN EGR HOSES, CAUSED COOLANT LEAK. RESULTING IN EGR TO NOT HEAT UP ENOUGH AND EXHAUST FILTER TO GET FULL AND NOT GO INTO REGEN.
STEERING WHEEL DOESN'T LOCK AND SENSOR IS ALSO CAUSING CRUISE CONTROL TO MALFUNCTION. THIS COULD BE UNSAFE IF THAT SENSOR CONTROLS ANYTHING ELSE
DRIVING TO INDIANA TO SEE MY GRANDBABIES AND THE CHECK ELECTRONIC TRAILER BRAKES CAME ON THE CHECK ELECTRONIC BRAKING SYSTEM LIGHT CAME ON. CRUISE CONTROL STOPPED WORKING AND LOST POWER, THE SAME THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY BACK TO KENTUCKY. I HAD THE BRAKES DONE, BUT MECHANIC SAID IT'S A SENSOR I THE STEERING COLUMN. THIS IS REALLY DANGEROUS AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED.
THE ENGINE CHECK LIGHT ILLUMINATED IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MY DEALERSHIP AND THEY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS A FUEL LEVEL SENSOR STUCK. WHEN THE LIGHT FIRST ILLUMINATED THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. *BF CONSUMER STATED WHEN THE SENSOR FAILS ITY CAUSES THE FUEL GAUGE TO PLUMMET TO EMPTY.*JB

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE LOW FUEL INDICATOR ILLUMINATED DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE CONTACT HAD JUST FILLED HIS VEHICLE WITH FUEL THE PREVIOUS DAY. THE CONTACT FILLED THE VEHICLE WITH A LOW AMOUNT OF FUEL AND THE INDICATOR TURNED OFF. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AGAIN WHILE ON A TRIP WHEN THE FUEL LEVEL WAS AT 3/4 FUEL CAPACITY. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,500. CONSUMER STATED HE IS HAVING ISSUES WITH CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS AND SHUTS DOWN AFTER 1/2 MINUTE, AFTER REPORTING TO NHTSA.*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE, IT EMITTED A LOUD NOISE WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT A BOLT WAS FRACTURED IN THE MANIFOLD. THE CONTACT WAS GIVEN A COST ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIRS. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON A MULTITUDE OF OCCASIONS. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WILL BOTH COME ON. AT THE SAME TIME AS THE LIGHTS THE MESSAGES SHOW UP AND SAY TO SERVICE SHIFTER KNOB, THEN RIGHT AFTER THAT THE SERVICE TRAILER BRAKE SYSTEM MESSAGE SHOWS UP AND WILL BE THE ONLY MESSAGE FOUND IN THE MESSAGES FOLDER. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT STAY ON. WHEN TRYING TO GET THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT TO GO OUT BY PRESSING THE TRACTION CONTROL BUTTON, NOTHING HAPPENS. THIS IS TELLING ME THAT I DO NOT HAVE ANY TRACTION CONTROL. THIS WILL BECOME A MAJOR ISSUE WHEN IT SNOWS. EACH OF THESE INSTANCES HAVE HAPPENED WHILE MOVING BOTH ON AND OFF THE HIGHWAY AND WHILE AT A STOP. THIS HAS HAPPENED ALSO WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY ABOUT SEVEN MONTHS AGO WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY IN THE SNOW.
I HAVE HAD SEVERAL MALFUNCTION OF THE TRANSMISSION IN MY VEHICLE SINCE PURCHASED. THEY STARTED AROUND A YEAR AFTER I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND HAVE AVERAGED APPROXIMATELY ONE MALFUNCTION PER YEAR. THE FIRST THREE MALFUNCTIONS WERE SIMILAR; A "HARD" DOWNSHIFT OR UPSHIFT WHILE I WAS HIGHWAY DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND ADJUST ACCORDING TO TRAFFIC FLOW. I HEARD A LOUD POPPING NOISE AND FELT THE JOLT OF THE TRANSMISSION CHANGING. LIKE WHEN THE VEHICLE SLOWED BUT THE TRANSMISSION DIDN'T REACT AND ALL THE SUDDEN A HARD SHIFT SAME ON THE UPSHIFT. THE LATEST MALFUNCTION WAS DIFFERENT. I WAS IN HIGHWAY TRAFFIC WHEN TRAFFIC SLOWED DOWN. I TRIED TO ACCELERATE TO KEEP UP WITH TRAFFIC FLOW BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT EXCEED THE 45 MPH. I COULD HEAR THE ENGINE REVVING UP BUT IT WAS LIKE IT WAS STUCK IN LOW GEAR. I PULLED OFF THE FREEWAY AND STOPPED AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT DROVE AS NORMAL. I HAVE EXPLAINED THE MALFUNCTIONS TO THE DEALERSHIP ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THEY SAID THEY CHECKED IT OUT AND IT WAS NORMAL. AFTER THE LAST FAILED ATTEMPT TO GET THE PROBLEM RESOLVED AT THE DEALERSHIP, I CONTACTED THE CHRYSLER FCA US CUSTOMER CENTER REPRESENTATIVE BY LETTER. THE ADVISED ME TO A GM AT THE DODGE CITY DEALER IN MCKINNEY, TX. THE DEALERSHIP ENDED UP "RESETTING THE TRANSMISSION". IT WAS EXPLAINED TO ME THAT IS SIMILAR TO RESETTING YOUR CELL PHONE WHERE ALL SETTINGS GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL SETTINGS. I WAS GIVEN NO OTHER OPTIONS AT THE TIME EXCEPT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND SEE IF THE RESETTING RESOLVED THE PROBLEM. IT IS MY OPINION THERE HAS BEEN NO REAL RESOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM OF THE MALFUNCTION OF THE TRANSMISSION. I STILL HAVE THE SAME FEAR THAT IF THE TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION UNDER THE RIGHT CONDITIONS IT COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT RESULTING IN SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR EVEN DEATH TO ME OR SOMEONE ELSE. PLEASE GIVE THIS CONCERN YOUR UTMOST ATTENTION.

FUEL PUMP SENSOR FAILED. REPLACED THE PART, BOUGHT FROM THE DEALERSHIP. INSTALLED AND WORKED FOR TWO DAYS BEFORE THE SENSOR AGAIN FAILED. WHEN THE FUEL TANK IS FILLED THE GAUGE DOES NOT SENSE ANY FUEL IN THE CAR. ALSO THE CAR'S COMPUTER SYSTEM FAILS TO TELL YOU WHICH PART IS IN FAILURE- THE BRAKE LIGHT INDICATOR WENT ON FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE BRAKE LIGHT, IT WAS ACTUALLY THE BRAKE LIGHT ON THE CAB THAT WAS OUT.
DANGEROUS. TRANSMISSION PROBLEM ON SLIGHT UPHILL AT SPEEDS FROM 40-70 MILES. SUDDENLY THE TRACTION CONTROL OFF LIGHT AND ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON, TRUCK GETS STUCK IN A WEIRD GEAR, GAS PEDAL ONLY WORKS HALF WAY. YOU CANNOT SPEED UP TO SAVE YOUR LIFE. THIS IS JUST A 4 YEAR OLD TRUCK. ABSOLUTELY UNFOTO BUYERS.
AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM FAILED. THE ISSUE HAPPENS AT RANDOM AND CAN BE STATIONARY OR TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. ALL AIR IS EMPTIED FROM THE SYSTEM CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO BOUNCE AROUND UNCONTROLLABLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE FRAME OF THE TRUCK WILL BE RESTING ON THE AXLE DIRECTLY. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE RAM DEALER FOR REPAIR AND AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, CHANGING OUT SERVAL COMPONENTS THEY CAN NOT FIGURE OUT WHY THE TRUCK IS LOOSING AIR. THE DEALER NOW TELLS ME THAT WITHOUT A CODE IN THE SYSTEM THEY CAN NOT REPAIR IT EVEN THOUGH I SHOW THEM PICTURES WITH DATE AND TIME THAT THE SYSTEM IS MALFUNCTIONING AND THE FRAME IS SITTING DIRECTLY ON THE AXLE.
