DRIVING DOWN A ROAD AT 55MPH AND HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT AND COULD NOT SEE ANYTHING FOR SEVERAL SECONDS AS IT WAS NIGHT TIME AND IT WAS PITCH BLACK. FRANTICALLY TRIED ALL THE LIGHT OPTIONS AND TURNED THE LIGHT KNOB ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT AND HAD SOME LIGHT JUST IN TIME TO SLAM MY BRAKES TO NOT HIT A DEER. MADE IT HOME AND CHECKED THE LIGHTS. HIGH BEAMS WORKED BUT BOTH LOW BEAMS DID NOT. REPLACED BULBS AND STILL DIDN'T WORK. LOOKED FOR A FUSE/RELAY BUT DOESN'T SEEM TO HAVE ONE. AUTO SENSING AND LOW BEAM DOES NOT WORK, SHOULD BE A SAFETY RECALL ON TIPM OR WHATEVER DEVICE IS MALFUNCTIONING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED. ADDITIONALLY, THE FUEL GAUGE DISPLAYED AN INACCURATE FUEL LEVEL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WITH A FULL FUEL TANK, THE FUEL GAUGE INDICATED AN EMPTY FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP SENSOR WAS DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER FOSS MOTORS LOCATED AT 133 PORTSMOUTH AVE, EXETER, NH 03833, AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000.
I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK AND BROUGHT IT HOME AND WAS GOING THROUGH EVERYTHING AND FOUND OUT THAT THE OIL DIDNT EVEN REACH THE DIPSTICK AND IT TOOK 4 QUARTS TO FILL IT UP. I THEN CHECKED EVERYTHING ELSE AND MADE SURE IT WAS FINE. I DROVE THE TRUCK FOR THE NEXT 3 DAYS ON AND OFF THE INTERSTATE AND HIGHWAY DRIVING. I WAS ATTEMPTING TO GO TO MY DR.S OFFICE IN CARTERSVILLE, GA. AND I WAS GOING ABOUT 55 MPH DOWN THE ROAD AND SUDDENLY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE LIMPED ITS WAY TO A PARKING LOT TO WHICH I SHUT IT OFF AND THEN STARTED IT BACK UP AND IT SEEMED GOOD ENOUGH TO GET IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THERE AND THEY PULLED CODES AND SAID THAT THE OIL PUMP ISNT GETTING ENOUGH OIL AND IT WAS LESS THAN A QUART. IT USED UP 4 QUARTS IN THAT TIME. I CANT TRUST THIS TO GOTO TENNESSEE WITH THIS GOING ON. DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM? THIS IS PISS POOR ENGINEERING ON THE PART OF FCA TO BUILD A ENGINE THAT USES THAT MUCH OIL AND AT $9 A QUART ILL BE BROKE BEFORE THE END OF THE MONTH
WHILE DRIVING ON PAVED SURFACE APPROACHING A RIGHT TURN AT 20 MPH I EXPERIENCED SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING.THE STEERING WHEEL WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO TURN NEARLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. .THE DASH INFORMATION CENTER WAS TELLING ME NOT TO SHUT DOWN THE VEHICLE.AFTER PLACING THE TRUCK IN PARK THE ADVISORY LIGHTS WENT OUT THE RED POWER STEERING LIGHT REMAINED ON
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE DUE TO THE OTHER VEHICLE JUMPING IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS A PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE THAT WAS PREGNANT. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED HEAD INJURIES THAT NEEDED MEDICAL ATTENTION AND WAS UNAWARE OF THE OTHER DRIVER INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW LOT. THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000. *LN*JB
UNCOMMON VEHICLE VIBRATIONS FELT WHILE IDLING. WHILE DRIVING, VEHICLE SHAKES AT ALL SPEEDS AND BECOMES MORE PRONOUNCED THE FASTER THE VELOCITY. AFTER HAVING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE PERFORMED AT CHAPMAN LAS VEGAS VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO ME. WHEN I TOOK POSSESSION AND STARTED THE VEHICLE AT CHAPMAN LAS VEGAS IT MISFIRED (UNCONTROLLABLY SHAKING) AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON. DEALER ENDED UP KEEPING VEHICLE ANOTHER DAY TO INSPECT MISFIRE/CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ISSUE. ACCORDING TO CHAPMAN LAS VEGAS THEY COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE REASON FOR THE MISFIRE/CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND HAD ME PICK UP THE VEHICLE THE NEXT DAY. EVER SINCE THAT INCIDENT THE VEHICLE HAS BECOME UNSTABLE AND CONSTANTLY SHAKES. I WAS ADVISE BY CHAPMAN LAS VEGAS TO "CONTINUE DRIVING THE VEHICLE UNTIL ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON" AS THEY CAN'T FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM FOR THE CONTINUED SHAKING. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR A FEW WEEKS NOW. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE CONTINUING TO DRIVE A DEFECTIVE VEHICLE. I'M NOW STARTING TO FEEL AND HEAR RATTLING SOUNDS WHILE MAKING TURNS. NOT SURE IF ITS AT ALL CONNECTED BUT AGAIN THE VEHICLE DOES NOT FEEL SAFE. SPOKE WITH SERVICE DEPARTMENT AGENT TODAY AND WILL BE DROPPING THE VEHICLE OFF AGAIN. ON TOP OF THE SHAKING NOW THE REAR VIEW CAMERA IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. IVE TAKEN VIDEOS OF THE REARVIEW CAMERA ISSUES. UNFORTUNATELY I CAN'T VIDEO THE VIBRATING VEHICLE. ON 9/14/2020 AT APPROXIMATELY 9:30 AM AN EMPLOYEE OF CHAPMAN LAS VEGAS (MECHANIC MARK) DID A DRIVE ALONG WITH ME SO THAT HE COULD ASSES THE SHAKING OF THE VEHICLE. HE CONFIRMED THAT IN FACT IT WAS SHAKING. HE ADVISED THAT HE THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE AN ISSUE WITH THE TIRES. I IMMEDIATELY (1 HOUR LATER) WENT AND HAD THE TIRE TREAD CHECKED, TIRES ROTATED AND BALANCED. THE SHAKING STILL CONTINUES!
WHILE DRIVING MY 2017 DODGE RAM 1500 TRUCK THE POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING WHICH CAUSED ME TO NEARLY RUN OFF THE ROAD DURING AN ATTEMPTED TURN. THE POWER STEERING HAS SINCE BEEN INTERMITTENTLY CUTTING IN AND OUT WHICH MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT TO STEER, ESPECIALLY AT SLOWER SPEEDS. I WAS DRIVING ON CITY STREETS WHEN THIS HAPPENED.

INTERMITTENT LOSS OF POWER STEERING. TWO OCURRANCES 3 MONTHS APART. LOW SPEED RIGHT TURN AT 20MPH, DASH ERROR LIGHT (LOSS OF COMM WITH POWER STEERRING) AND NO POWER STEERING. STOP, SHUT ENGINE DOWN AND RESTART RESTORES POWER STEERING. SECOND OCCURANCE (14 AUG 2020), SAME ERROR WHILE PERFORMING LEFT TURN AT ABOUT 25 MPH. SHUT ENGINE, AND RESTART RESTORES POWER STEERING. IN BOTH INSTANCES, MANUAL NON ASSISTED STEERING STILL FUNCTIONAL. ALL DRIVING WHILE IN CITY, STARTING FROM INTERSECTION.
2017 DODGE RAM 1500. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO PARTS BEING UNAVAILABLE FOR VEHICLE REPAIR. *LD *JS
Emergency brake does not hold vehicle when parked. Had dealership look at brake system and everything is fine. When emergency brake is applied, I can drive off not realizing the brake is on until an alarm sounds that I am driving with it engaged. This has been ongoing for years. I checked multiple forums on this problem and I am not the only one that has asked about the particular problem.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER DAVID TAYLOR CHRYSLER-DODGE-JEEP-RAM-FIAT (2052 US-641, MURRAY, KY 42071) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM DISENGAGING DURING FREEWAY OPERATION. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO RE-ENABLE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM, VEHICLE SHOWS CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM STILL ACTIVE. CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM MUST BE DEACTIVATED TO RE-ENABLE CRUISE CONTROL. THE SLOWING FORCE WAS SO NOTICEABLE, IT ALMOST FELT LIKE THE TRUCK WAS APPLYING BRAKES, OR TRANS BRAKE. THIS ISSUE HAS OCCURRED 3-4 TIMES WITHING THE PAST WEEK.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH AND DRIVING OVER A BUMP IN THE ROADWAY, SEVERAL UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED AND THE WINDSHIELD WASHER ACTIVATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED AND RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED 3 TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
FAILURE OF ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST STEERING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. UNABLE TO PROPERLY CONTROL VEHICLE.
There is a known problem with the 5.7l hemi engines having the exhaust manifold bolts break. This happened to me where the manifold separated from the engine and caused untreated exhaust gases to escape into the engine bay. These gases were then being sucked into the cabin through hvac system due to the close proximity of the cabin air intake vent and the gases escaping in the engine bay and seeping from underneath the hood when at low speed or idling with the hvac system on.
My Tailgate Came Open Unexpectedly, while my trailer was hooked up. I was in a development going around a turn very shortly after pulling off from my starting point. The tailgate crushed on the jack, causing significant tailgate damage. I have been In contacts with Turnersville Dodge, and they directed me to Maple Shade NJ Alfa Romeo/ Fiat. I have been on the phone with Them numerous times, as well as sent emails. This has been going on for over a year now. There is an open recall on the tailgate latch for my particular truck. This is the reason that my tailgate came open unexpectedly and caused significant damage. I have mentioned this recall, and I get alerts weekly about the open recall on the tailgate. Nothing is being done. I run a business , and have already had the inconvenience and unsafe operations, ongoing for over a year now. I am extremely busy, and it is extremely frustrating calling and emailing, with no fix in site. It’s insanity.
ELECTRIC POWER STEERING FAILURE. OVER A PERIOD OF 2-3 WEEKS POWER STEERING HAS BECOME MORE AND MORE INOPERABLE AND REQUIRES VERY MUCH EFFORT TO STEER. DEALER SUGGESTION IS TO COMPLETELY REPLACE RACK & PINION MODULE AT HIGH COST - EST $2200. REPAIR MUST BE DONE TO MAKE THIS VEHICLE SAFE TO DRIVE. THIS PROBLEM SEEMS IDENTICAL TO THE DESCRIPTION OF THE RECENT (16 DEC 2019) VB8 CHRYSLER RECALL FOR 2019 RAM 1500 TRUCKS.

CRUISE CONTROL WON'T TURN ON AND BUTTONS RELATED TO CRUISE CONTROL ARE UNRESPONSIVE. LAST TIME IT DID WORK ABOUT A MONTH AGO THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULDN'T TURN OFF WITH THE STEERING WHEEL BUTTON, HAD TO HIT THE BRAKES. VEHICLE HAD ALL RECALLS DONE, THERE WAS ONE RELATED TO THE CRUISE CONTROL. FIXED ONE THING NOW ALL THESE OTHER THINGS ARE HAPPENING. THAT'S MY ONLY COMPLAINT, THERE DEFINITELY NEEDS TO BE ANOTHER RECALL FOR THIS.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SEVERAL MONTHS AFTER HE RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTIFICATION, THE VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURN THE VEHICLE OFF. AN UPON OPENING THE HOOD THE CONTACT NOTICED FLAMES AROUND THE ENGINE CORDS AND WIRE. THE CONTACT STATED HE WAS ABLE TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE HIMSELF WITH WATER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO LYNCH CHEVROLET OF MUKWONAGO FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 58,000. PART DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
JUNE 1ST, WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT APPROX. 65MPH, THE TRUCK STARTED TO MAKE A LOUD NOISE, REVED REAL HIGH, THEN LOST ALL POWER AND LOW OIL PRESSURE MESSAGE CAME ON. AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT THE TRUCK HAD AROUND 57,000 MILES ON IT. TRUCK WAS DEAD ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. IT WAS TOWED TO GRIEGER'S RAM (VALPARAISO,IN) WHERE IS START FOR OVER A MONTH WITHOUT BEING LOOKED AT AND NO RENTAL WAS OFFERED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO DAVID TAYLOR'S RAM (MICHIGAN CITY,IN) WHERE IT WAS LOOKED AT WITHIN A FEW DAYS. THEY DEEMED THAT IT NEEDED A NEW ENGINE DUE TO INTERNAL ENGINE FAILURE. THE NEW ENGINE HAS BEEN ORDERED BUT WILL NOT BE HERE UNTIL AT LEAST SEPTEMBER.
WHEN BACKING INTO GARAGE ON 5/24/20 RAM 1500 QUAD CAB STEERING LOCKED IN ONE POSITION AND VEHICLE ACCELERATOR WENT TO THE FLOOR. VEHICLE ACCELERATED QUICKLY BACKWARDS INTO MY GARAGE WALL AND DAMAGED THE GARAGE WALL, GARAGE DOOR, AND VEHICLE. I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO IT HITTING THE BACK OF THE GARAGE AND GOING INTO MY HOUSE. THE VEHICLE STEERING WAS STILL LOCKED AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO BACK INTO GEAR. HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP.

VEHICLE IS 18 MONTHS OLD AND THE A/C HAS GONE OUT. THIS VEHICLE IS EQUIPED WITH THE NEW FREON THAT IS VERRRRRRRY EXPENSIVE AND IS VERY DANGEROUS TO HANDLE. HAD 2 ESTIMATES DONE FOR 3500.00 EACH.

WE HAVE A RECALL FROM LAST YEAR THAT THEY SAY THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN OR IF IT WILL OR CAN BE FIXED ON OUR 2017 RAM 1500 ECO DIESEL DUE TO THE SAFETY HAZARD (FIRE/EXPLOSION) OF THIS RECALL AND THAT THEY HAVE HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO FIX IT, WE ASKED FOR A LOANER VEHICLE UNTIL OURS COULD BE FIXED. THE DEALER REFUSED. SINCE IT'S BEEN AT LEAST 6 MONTHS WITH NO REPAIR IN SIGHT, WE DECIDED TO TRADE IT IN ON A NEW RAM. THE DEALER OFFERED US $12,000 LESS THAN WE STILL OWE ON THE RECALLED RAM DUE TO THE RECALL THAT CAN'T BE FIXED! WE ARE STUCK PAYING FOR A DANGEROUS LEMON AND BELIEVE THEY SHOULD BE MADE TO BUY IT BACK FOR WHAT WE STILL OWE. PLEASE HELP!!

THIS IS A KNOWN RECURRING ISSUE ON DODGE RAMS. ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE MOTOR THE BOLTS HOLDING THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO THE HEAD SNAP OFF AND CREATE AN EXHAUST LEAK. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO POSSIBLE ASPHYXIATION! I CALLED IN TO REGISTER A COMPLAINT AND I DON'T THINK IT WAS CODED AS A SAFETY ISSUE! MY TRUCK, 2017 RAM 1500 ECODESIEL, HAS BEEN LOOSING COOLANT AND I LOCATED THE RECALL ON THE EGR COOLER, NHTSA RECALL 19V-757. ON 3/31/2020, I CONTACTED GLOCKNER DODGE DEALER IN ASHLAND KY. THEY TOLD ME THE RECALL WAS A COMPUTER FLASH UPDATE AND THEY WOULD NOT REPLACE THE EGR COOLER. I THEN CONTACTED FCA US, RECALL DEPARTMENT AFTER I SPOKE TO THE DEALERSHIP. TOLD HER THE ISSUE I WAS HAVING AND WAS TOLD, IF I WAS HAVING EGR COOLER ISSUES THE DEALERSHIP COULD REPAIR AND/OR REPLACE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RECALL. THEN SHE TOLD ME TO GET MY TRUCK TO A DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THEM LOOK AT IT. I CONTACTED PURE COUNTRY DEALERSHIP IN GRAYSON KY. I TOOK MY TRUCK TO THEM ON 4/1/2020 AT 0900. END RESULT, RECEIPT SHOWS NO EXTERNAL LEAKS FOUND BUT MAY BE RELATED TO RECALL. HOWEVER, I'M TOLD THAT A REPLACEMENT PART IS NOT AVAILABLE. I CONTACTED FCA US, RECALL DEPARTMENT AGAIN. NOW I'M TOLD THAT THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT PART AVAILABLE AND THEY DON'T KNOW WHY THE PREVIOUS REP TOLD ME THAT THE DEALERSHIP COULD FIX IT. THEY SAY MY CLAIM IS SUBMITTED TO A SPECIALIST FOR REVIEW. MY FCA US CLAIM NUMBER IS76030552. 1) WHY HAVE A RECALL IF IT CANNOT BE FIXED? 2) IT HAS BEEN APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS SINCE THE RECALL WAS ISSUES, AND STILL NO VIABLE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM? 3) FCA US ADMITS THAT VEHICLE FIRE CAN OCCUR DUE TO EGR DEFECT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, ATTEMPTING TO PASS ANOTHER VEHICLE, ANOTHER VEHICLE TURNED IN FRONT OF HER AND SHE CLIPPED THAT VEHICLE AS A RESULT HER VEHICLE FLIPPED OVER. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED SHE LOST CONSCIOUSNESS ONCE SHE CRASHED INTO THE OTHER VEHICLE BUT CAME TO IN ORDER TO REMOVE HER SEAT BELT AND ATTEMPTED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A PASSERBY ATTEMPTED TO BREAK THE CAB WINDOWS BUT FAILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INTERIOR CAUGHT ON FIRE AS WILL AS THE AIR BAGS. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS ABLE TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE AFTER SOME TIME. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE NECK BACK AND KNEE AS SHE WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE. THE DRIVER OF THE UNKNOWN VEHICLE HAD NO REPORTED INJURIES HOWEVER MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS PROVIDED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE INSURANCE COMPANY DEEMED THE VEHICLE A TOTAL LOSS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 72,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
The exhaust manifold bolt on the passenger side have broken off after 50,000 miles after normal wear and tear. Such has highway and city driving. This vehicle has never towed a trailer or overheated. This has caused exhaust fumes to enter the cab when vehicle in on and stopped at stop lights or other times when stopped and on. There is wiring close to the exhaust manifold and I’m afraid the hot exhaust may cause the wiring to catch fire or melt while driving causing a catastrophic failure while driving. I’m afraid for my life and others who have this issue.
I HAVE RECEIVED 2 SAFETY RECALL LETTERS CONCERNING THE DIESEL EGR COOLER ON MY 2017 RAM 1500. I HAVE CALLED MULTIPLE DEALERS AND THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME ANSWER. WE CAN'T SCHEDULE ANY REPAIR BECAUSE WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ORDER THE PART. IN A CONVERSATION WITH FCA RECALL ASSISTANCE THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE DEALERS ARE RESTRICTED ON THE NUMBER OF PARTS THEY CAN ORDER. THIS IS NOT A NEW RECALL AND FCAS LACK OF RESPONDING OVER THE COURSE OF 6 MONTHS IS JUST PLAIN WRONG. WHY ISSUE A RECALL IF THEY CAN'T AND WON'T PROVIDE THE PARTS? COASTED OUT OF A CAR WASH; ENGINE ON, TRANSMISSION IN NEUTRAL. AFTER EXITING THE WASH, I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND SHIFTED FROM NEUTRAL INTO DRIVE. THE TRUCK ACCELERATED OUT OF CONTROL AND WOULD NOT BRAKE. I WAS ABLE TO AVOID PEDESTRIANS, GAS PUMPS, AND THE STORE ENTRANCE. I WAS FORCED TO CRASH THE VEHICLE AGAINST A BUILDING TO GET IT TO STOP. THE TRUCK WAS TOTALED WITH HEAVY FRONT END DAMAGE; HOWEVER, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. WHEN I RETURNED HOME, THERE AS AN EMAIL FROM THE VEHICLE'S ONBOARD HEALTH MONITORING SYSTEM SAYING THAT AN ISSUE WAS DETECTED WITH THE AIR BAGS, WHICH MAY NOT DEPLOY. I LIVE IN CA AND AFTER FUELING 2017 RAM REBEL THE FUEL NOZZLES HAS GOTTEN STUCK MULTIPLE TIMES, I CANT EVEN STICK THE NOZZLE HALF WAYS TO FUEL BECAUSE THEN IT CLICKS AND STOPS FUELING. MY GIRLFRIEND CANT BORROW THE TRUCK IN FEAR THAT IF SHE TRIES TO PUMP GAS IT WILL GET STUCK ON HER TOO. IT REALLY SHOULDN'T BE THIS MUCH OF A HASSLE TO PUMP GAS. THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS WHEN I AM TRYING TO PUMP GAS.
LEFT FRONT TIRE BLEW OUT AND DAMAGED FENDER AND INNER LINER. I WAS TRAVELING ON HWY 57 IN SOUTH TEXAS AT ABOUT 75 MPH. TIRE GAVE NO WARNING THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM. WAS LUCKY THERE WAS NO ONE BESIDE ME OR COMING IN MY DIRECTION WHEN IT HAPPENED.

FUEL PUMP AND FUEL TANK GAUGE ARE ONE ASSEMBLY. SYSTEM FAILED AT 50K MILES. DEALER INDICATED THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND ENTIRE ASSEMBLY MUST BE CHANGED AT A COST OF $1200. RAM WILL NOT COVER UNDER WARRANTY. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER/RAM SUPPORT AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ASSIST.
WITH A FULL FUEL TANK EVERYTHING IS GOOD. BETWEEN 3/4 AND 1/2 TANK THE FUEL GAUGE GOES TO EMPTY, OUT OF GAS LIGHT BLINKS AND FUEL SENSOR FAIL LIGHT COMES ON. 5 MINUTES LATER GAUGE IS BACK TO 3/4 TANK AND FUEL SENSOR FAIL ENGINE WARNING STILL ON. MADE A FEW STOPS AND ENGINE FAIL LIGHT GOES OFF. THEN IT ALL STARTS OVER AND OVER.FUEL SENSOR FAIL AND GAUGE GOES TO EMPTY.ONLY 429201 MILES. DANGEROUS DEFECT. COMMON COMPLAINT
I HAVE THE ECODIESEL. THEY ARE PRONE TO CATCHING ON FIRE, EVEN WHEN PARKED. I EMAILED RAM AND ASKED IF IT WAS SAFE TO PARK MY TRUCK IN A GARAGE ATTACHED TO THE HOUSE. THEY WOULD NOT TELL ME THAT IT IS SAFE, TOLD ME TO USE MY OWN JUDGEMENT. THE FAILURE RATE FOR THESE ENGINES IS RIDICULOUSLY HIGH. ARE YOU DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?

EXITED THE TRUCK AT A SAFE LOCATION. USED HOOD RELEASE IN CABIN BUT DID NOT OPEN HOOD BECAUSE I SAW FLAMES THROUGH GRILLE. USED FIRE EXTINGUISHER BUT IT JUST SLOWED THE FIRE DID NOT PUT IT OUT.
