GAS STATION FUEL FILLER NOZZLE GETS STUCK IN VEHICLE FUEL FILLER NECK. THIS HAPPENS REPEATEDLY AND AT DIFFERENT STATIONS. NO VISIBLE VEHICLE FAULTS. ATTEMPTS TO REMOVE FILLER NOZZLE HAS CAUSED CUTS TO HANDS AND SPILLED FUEL.IT SOMETIMES TAKES SEVERAL MINUTES TO FREE FUEL FILLER WITHOUT DAMAGING VEHICLE. MUST DEFEAT VAPOR RECOVERY BY COLLAPSING RUBBER BOOT IN ORDER TO FUEL VEHICLE. DEALER NOT INTERESTED .VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY PARKED AT GAS PUMPS FOR REFUELING. *DSY
MY TRUCK WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION WITH A GUARD RAIL WHILE TRAVELLING 55 MPH ON KY 210. NONE OF THE TRUCKS AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE INCLUDING THE ROCKER ARM SNAPPED OFF THE VEHICLE. THIS CAUSED THE TRUCK TO SLIDE ACROSS THE ROAD HITTING THE OTHER GUARD RAIL. THE TRUCK THEN SLID BACK ACROSS THE ROAD AND WAS NEARLY TIPPING OVER WHEN IT STRUCK THE FIRST GUARD RAIL. THE TRUCK CAME TO REST ON TOP OF THE GUARD RAIL BEFORE TIPPING OVER. I DID RECEIVE INJURIES WHICH MAY NOT HAVE OCCURRED IF THE AIR BAGS HAD DEPLOYED. THE ACCIDENT PROBABLY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SEVERE IF THE TIRE HAD NOT CAME OFF CAUSING THE TRUCK TO SPIN HIT THE GUARD RAIL ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD.
I WAS TRAVELING ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY WHEN I CAME UPON AN ACCIDENT INVOLVING MULTIPLE VEHICLES. I TOOK EVASIVE ACTION AND WAS ABLE TO STOP COMPLETELY AVOIDING THE VEHICLES INVOLVED, AND JUST BEHIND ONE VEHICLE THAT WAS PARTIALLY BLOCKING THE RIGHT LANE. I WAS STRUCK FROM BEHIND WHICH CAUSED THE DRIVERS SEAT TO GO INTO A RECLINING POSITION. MY TRUCK WAS PROPELLED FORWARD WITH ME IN A RECLINING POSITION. I FELT A SECONDARY IMPACT, WHICH DAMAGED THE FRONT OF MY VEHICLE. BECAUSE I WAS IN A RECLINING POSITION, I WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL OR DIRECT MY VEHICLE. NONE OF THE AIRBAGS IN MY VEHICLE DEPLOYED. I SOMEHOW PULLED MYSELF ERECT AND EVENTUALLY CAME TO A STOP ON THE INSIDE GRASSY MEDIAN OF THE HIGHWAY.
THE GAS PUMP NOZZLES NO LONGER WORK WHEN FILLING UP THE TANK. IT SEEMS THAT THEY DO NOT LIKE THE ANGLE OF THE FILL NECK ON THE TRUCK. THEY SHUT OFF AFTER ONLY ABOUT 1/2 GALLON IS USED INTO THE TANK.
ENGINE NOISE WHEN STARTING AFTER SITTING OVERNIGHT
CONSTANT VIBRATING AND SHAKING FROM THE REAR END OF THE TRUCK THAT CAN'T SEEM TO BE FIXED! WAS AT SPEEDS ABOVE 65MPH. NOW IT'S ALL SPEEDS!
MY 2017 RAM 1500 QUAD CAB HAS A FUEL SENSOR FAIL. I LOOKED IT UP AND APPARENTLY MANY PEOPLE HAVE THIS ISSUE WITH RAM TRUCKS.
GOT LETTER FROM FCA ( FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES) REGARDING RECALL. BUT NHSTA WEBSITE NOT SHOWING ANY RECALL. I AM BEEN CHECKING SINCE LAST 2 MONTHS. RECALL REGARDING ORC. THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROL.
POWER STEERING EPS HAS FAILED. THE CAR LOST THE POWER STEERING.
DODGE RAM ELECTRONIC GEAR SHIFTER. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND THE ENGINE WAS LEFT RUNNING ON A CITY STREET. OUR DRIVER GOT OFF THE VEHICLE TO CLOSE THE GARAGE DOOR. ON RETURN TO THE VEHICLE THE VEHICLE WAS ROLLING BACK. THE DOOR WAS LEFT OPEN WHEN GETTING OFF VEHICLE TO CLOSE THE GARAGE. THE DOOR HIT THE FIRST CAR ON ITS WAY ROLLING BACK AND BENT THE DOOR ALL THE WAY TO THE OTHER SIDE. THE VEHICLE THEN ROLLED BACK AND HIT THE LAST VEHICLE. THIS JUST HAPPENED 11/12/18 THE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE DIDN'T WANT TO INVOLVE THE POLICE SINCE THE NEIGHBOR KNEW WHERE DRIVER LIVED
FUEL PUMP GETTING STUCK AT GAS STATIONS. YESTERDAY IT TOOK AN EMBARRASSING 20 MINUTES, BROKEN FUEL HOUSING AND SMASHED FINGER TO PULL THE PUMP OUT. HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE 6 MONTHS I HAVE OWNED THIS TRUCK.
I WAS REAR ENDED ON NOV 3RD 2018. THE COLLISION CENTER WHERE MY XAR IS BEING FIXED HAS PUT THE ORDER IN FOR A BRAND NEW BOX ASSEMBLY DIRECTLY FROM DODGE AMD ITS BEEN ALMOST TWO MONTHS AND THERE IS NO PART AVAILABLE. I HAVE BEEN INCURRING COST FOR RENTALS AS MY TRUCK IS STILL IN THE SHOP WITH NO END IN SIGHT.
THE FUEL QUANTITY INDICATOR IS DEFECTIVE. ONE THE TANK IS HALF FULL THE GAGE GOES TO ZERO AND THE LOW FUEL WARNING LIGHT ILLIMINATES, ALSO THE FUEL SYSTEM FAILURE LIGHT COMES ON
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 35-75 MPH, "SERVICE SHIFTER" APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND ALL OF THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE TRAILER HITCH AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO LITHIA DODGE RAM (301 N. EARL RUDDER FWY, BRYAN TX 77802) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT ONE OF THE ELECTRICAL SENSORS GOT WET UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND A NEW SENSOR WAS INSTALLED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE LATER RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOUR TIMES FOR THE SAME FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000. *BF *AS
I WAS PARKED ON AN UNPAVED FLAT CAMPGROUND ROAD.TRUCK WOULD NOT GO FROM PARK TO REVERSE, SO AFTER WARNING LIGHTS ON DASH ADVISED TO RETURN TO PARK, I FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS. THEN AGAIN TRIED REVERSE AND THE TRUCK JUMPED INTO DRIVE CAUSING IT TO GO INTO A SMALL POND. AFTER WHICH THE VEHICLE WOULD NO LONGER CHANGE INTO ANY GEAR. THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD MULTIPLE RECALLS AND WE HAVE TAKEN IT IN TWICE FOR THE TRANSMISSION RECALL ONLY TO BE TOLD NOTHING WAS WRONG.
SWERVED TO AVOID DEER IN ROAD. HIT A TREE HEAD ON AT APPROX 50MPH. AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. CAR REPORTED AIRBAG FAULT ON DISPLAY IMMEDIATELY AFTER ACCIDENT. SHERIFF AND EMS BOTH FELT AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. *DT *JB *DT *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOST STEERING POWER ABILITY AND THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT HAD TO USE EXCESSIVE STRENGTH TO STEER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CAPPER CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM, INC. (1738 E WASHINGTON ST, WASHINGTON, IA 52353, (319) 653-3340) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
RETURNING FROM A TRIP TO MI BACK TO MY RESIDENCE IN TN. AS I MADE A TURN INTO MY SUBDIVISION I STARTED TO ACCELERATE TO MY NEXT TURN WHEN I EXPERIENCED A SUDDEN ACCELERATION OF MY VEHICLE. I HAD BEEN USING THE VEHICLES CRUISE CONTROL AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE DURING THE 10 HOUR DRIVE HOME SO IT FELT FAMILIAR, LIKE THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS TRYING TO ACCELERATE MY VEHICLE. AS THE VEHICLE WAS ACCELERATING AND I WAS STEERING THE THROUGH THE CURVES IN THE ROAD I HAD REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE GAS PEDAL AND TRIED HITTING THE CRUISE CONTROL OFF BUTTON SEVERAL TIMES. THIS HAD NO EFFECT IN STOPPING OR SLOWING THE ACCELERATION. THE TOTAL DISTANCE FROM MY TURN INTO THE SUBDIVISION TO THE END OF THE ROAD OR NEXT INTERSECTION WAS ROUGHLY 250-300 YARDS ALL DOWNHILL SO WE PICKED UP SPEED QUICKLY. BY THE TIME I REALIZED I COULD NOT EFFECT OR SLOW DOWN THE ACCELERATION BY SHUTTING OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL MY NEXT THOUGHT WAS TO HIT THE BRAKES BUT WE HAD RUN OUT OF ROAD. AT THIS POINT I CHOSE A DIRECTION WHERE I SAW NO HOUSES OR LARGE TREES. WE HIT AN AREA WHERE IT SLOPED UP ABOUT 30 DEGREES THEN FLATTENED OUT THEN SLOPED UP AGAIN COMING CLOSER TO OTHER HOUSES. I'M GUESSING WE WERE TRAVELING ABOUT 50-55 MPH WHEN I WENT OFF THE ROAD. WE FINALLY CAME TO A STOP AFTER HITTING BOTH SLOPES AND THE CLOSEST HOUSES BACK YARD DECK AND THEN INTO A TREE. I HAD MY FAMILY IN THE VEHICLE WITH ME; MY WIFE, TWO SONS AND DAUGHTER. ONE OF MY SONS WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL VIA AMBULANCE FOR BACK PAIN AND A CUT ABOVE HIS EYE WHICH REQUIRED 8-9 STITCHES. THE REST OF MY FAMILY WERE CHECKED OUT WITH NO INJURIES TO SPEAK OF AT THAT TIME. ONLY AT THE HOSPITAL I LEARNED OF THE RECALL FOR THE CRUISE CONTROL AND AN EXPLANATION OF THE CAUSE AND EFFECT IT HAD. THE RECALL EXPLANATION FIT VERBATIM TO WHAT HAPPENED TO US. WE HAD NOT RECEIVED ANY NOTIFICATION FOR THE RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE OR THE OTHER DODGE VEHICLE WE OWN. *DT *TR

THE DEALER (RIVERLAND CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM, 601 BELLE TERRE BLVD, LAPLACE, LA 70068, (985) 466-1068) WAS NOTIFIED BEFORE A WARRANTY CAMPAIGN WAS PROVIDED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE TAILGATE ACTUATOR. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
The contact owns a 2017 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact had initially taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic where he was informed that oil was leaking from the oil cooler. The dealer was notified of the failure and provided an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
TAILGATE CLOSED. PULLED OUT OF DRIVEWAY AND TAILGATE DROPPED WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION CAUSING DAMAGE
#1. WITH 21K MI. THE SERVICE AIRBAG SYSTEM CAME ON.IT IT STAYED ON FOR 5-7 SEC AND WENT OFF. IT WAS INTERMITTENT AT FIRST BUT NOW IT HAS BEEN DOING THE SAME 2 OR 3 TIMES PER MINUTE. #2 THE TAILGATE LATCH MALFUNCTIONS AT TIMES AND THE TAILGATE FALLS BY ITSELF. IT HAS DONE THIS WHILE DRIVING AND SITTING STATIONARY AFTER LOCKING IT WITH THE KEY FOB. #3 BOTH FRONT WINDOWS ARE EQUIPPED WITH AN AUTO UP FEATURE. THIS FEATURE HAS COME AND HOME IN BOTH FRONT WINDOWS. AT THE TIME IT WORKS BUT IT HAPPENS IRREGULARLY. #4 THE TRANSMISSION DOESN'T SHIFT WELL AFTER COASTING AS IN ON THE HIGHWAY. IT ALMOST SEEMS TO BOG DOWN AND I HAVE TO PUT SOME WEIGHT ON THE ACCELERATOR TO GET IT TO RESPOND. NO CODES HAVE BEEN THROWN FOR THE TRANSMISSION SO FAR. #5 THE KNOB ON THE FAR LEFT DRIVERS VENT FELL OFF.
2017 RAM 1500. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO FUEL TANK STRAP MOUNTING BRACKET SAFETY RECALL. *LD THE CONSUMER DISAPPROVED OF THE WARRANTY EXTENSION BEING THE SOLUTION TO THE FUEL TANK STRAP MOUNTING BRACKET FAILURE.*JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH AND APPROACHING A CURVE, THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO A SECOND VEHICLE AND A RETENTION WALL BEFORE STOPPING IN A DITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED, BUT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FROM THE SCENE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED AN INJURED LEFT SHOULDER, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL TREATMENT. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED INTERMITTENT JERKING PRIOR TO THE CRASH. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,000.
I HAVE A DODGE 2017 1500 SERIES PICKUP. IT IS EQUIPPED WITH GOODYEAR WRANGLER SR-A P275/60R20 TIRES. AFTER RETURNING FROM A TRIP I NOTICED THE LEFT REAR TIRE HAD AN AIR LEAK. I TOOK IT TO A TIRE REPAIR SHOP AND THEY REMOVED THE TIRE FROM THE VEHICLE. IT HAD VERY UNUSUAL WEAR INDICATING THE TIRE HAD A BULGE AND THEN SUFFERED A TINY HOLE IN THE TIRE. UPON REMOVAL AND INSPECTION, THE TIRE HAD SPLIT ACROSS THE TREAD ON THE INTERIOR OF THE TIRE APPROXIMATELY 6 INCHES LONG. A REVIEW OF THE NHTSA COMPLAINTS INDICATES THAT THIS SAME SCENARIO OCCURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS WITH THE SAME TYPE OF VEHICLE AND THE SAME TIRE.
THE CRUISE CONTROL ACCELERATED AT A HUGE RATE PAST THE DESIRED SPEED RESULTING IN A HYDRO PLANE WHICH CAUSED ALL SIDES OF THE VEHICLE TO IMPACT HOWEVER ONLY PASSENGER BAGS DEPLOYED NOT A SINGLE DRIVER BAG. *DT*JB
AIR BAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY ON 2017 RAM 1500. TRUCK IS TOTALED WITH FRONT END AND FRONT CORNER PANEL DAMAGE, BODY DAMAGE ON ALL SIDES OF VEHICLE. HIT STEERING WHEEL WITH HEAD CAUSING AIR BAG COVER TO POP OFF SLIGHTLY.
THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR FOR THE PAST APPROXIMATELY 10,000 MILES INTERMITTENTLY QUITS READING THE FUEL LEVEL. THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE IN THE DASH CLUSTER DROPS TO EMPTY, REGARDLESS OF THE ACTUAL FUEL LEVEL. THE MESSAGE 'FUEL SENSOR FAILURE' APPEARS ON THE DASH CLUSTER. SOMETIMES IT STAY FOR A FEW SECONDS, AND OTHER TIMES IT STAYS FOR A FEW MINUTES. THEN IT RETURNS TO WORKING ORDER AND GIVES AN ACCURATE READING OF THE FUEL LEVEL. OTHER TIMES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON, AND I HAVE TO CLEAR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WITH A CODE READER. CODE READER STATES CODE P0463 FUEL LEVEL SENSOR. THIS CODE APPEARS WITHOUT THE FUEL GAUGE CHANGING.
TRUCK WITH 3.0L DIESEL ENGINE. VEHICLE HAS TWICE (DURING FIRST 6,000 MILES) SHOWN ERROR MESSAGE "SERVICE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL" AND TRUCK HAS BEEN DISABLED. FIRST TIME WAS DRIVING ON MOUNTAIN HIGHWAY WITH HEAVY COMMUTE TRAFFIC WHEN TRUCK COULD NOT MAINTAIN ANY SPEED AND STRUGGLED GET TRUCK SAFELY OFF ROAD. WITH MULTIPLE OCCURENCES WITH BRAND NEW VEHICLE IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE.
THIS INVOLVES A 2017 RAM ECODIESEL WITH 15,500 MILES. THE ECO DIESEL STARTED TO MAKE A RATTLING SOUND AS I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT AT INTERSTATE SPEED AND THEN A LOUD BANG. I LOST ALL POWER TO THE TRUCK AS THE ENGINE CUT OFF WHILE I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY. IT WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AS I WAS IN THE MIDDLE LANE AND HAD TO GET OVER TO THE SIDE WITH OUT POWER AND BRAKES. THE DEALERSHIP HAS STATED IT WAS A CAM ISSUE AND THAT THEY WOULD NEED TO TAKE THE CAB OFF THE TRUCK TO DIAGNOSE THE ENGINE. ALL I CAN SAY IS THE TRUCK ONLY HAS 15,500 MILES ON IT AND THIS WAS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE FOR MYSELF AND MY FAMILY THAT WAS ON BOARD. I DID SOME RESEARCH ON LINE AND THERE SEEMS TO BE NUMEROUS EXAMPLES OF EARLY ENGINE FAILURE IN BOTH GRAND CHEROKEES AND RAM TRUCKS. RAM IS STILL AT THE DEALERSHIP BEING EVALUATED. *TT *TR CONSUMER STATED HE REPLACED THE ENTIRE ENGINE AND WAS WITHOUT THE VEHICLE FOR 34 DAYS, UPDATED 10/11/18*JB *DT*JB

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PEACOCK CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM FIAT (265 DRIVERS WAY A, HARDEEVILLE, SC 29927, 843-418-4159) FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 7,843.
IN MOTION, THE ENGINE SEAMS TO LOOSE POWER WHEN THE TRANSMISSION KICKS DOWN TO PASSING GEAR FOR A SHORT TIME THEN IT PICKS UP POWER. FEELS ALMOST LIKE IT TAKES TIME FOR THE TIMING TO CATCH UP...... CAN YOU HELP? IT ALSO DOES IT ON TAKE OFF AS WELL
MY RAM 1500 JUST ROLLED OVER THE 36K FACTORY WARRANTY AND MY TRANSMISSION LIGHT CAM AND MY FUEL LEVER INDICATOR FAILED. I AM AFRAID THAT THE TRUCK WILL SHUT OFF WHEN THE FUEL LEVER DROPS TO E BUT I KNOW THERE IS FUEL IN THE TRUCK. ALSO WHEN MY TRANSMISSION LIGHT COMES ON THE ECO FUEL SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK ANY MORE. NO MESSAGES APPEAR ON MY MESSAGE PANEL. WHEN THE FUEL SENSOR FAILURE HAPPENS I AM DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND I JUST MADE A LEFT TURN. I HAVE ALSO HAVE ISSUES WITH MY RADIO TURNING ITS SELF OFF OR ADJUSTING THE VOLUME BY ITS SELF.. I HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED MY DIGITAL ODOMETER READING TO JUST DISAPPEAR AT RANDOM TIMES. MY TRANSMISSION LIGHT COMES ON RANDOMLY. IT IS SAD THAT I BOUGHT A NEW TRUCK WITH 12 MILES ON IT AND NOW I HAVE ALL THESE PROBLEMS. LAST WEEK ON MY WAY HOME FROM A LONG DAY OF WORK I WAS DRIVING ON I15 IN LAS VEGAS NV. AS I WAS DRIVING ROUGHLY AROUND 75MPH I STARTED TO HEAR A CLICKING NOISE THEN I HEARD A LOUDER BANG LIKE SOMETHING BROKE, THE GAS PEDAL WOULD NOT WORK SO I STARTED TO SLOW DOWN AND PULL TO THE SIDE. WHEN I CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP THE TRUCK WOULD NOT GO INTO PARKING I TURNED OFF THE TRUCK AND IT IT CONTINUES TO ROLL SO I PRESSED THE EMERGENCY BREAK. I GOT OUT TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG AND MY DRIVE SHAFT WAS BROKEN IN HALF. THE NEXT MORNING THE TRUCK WAS TOWED TO A RAM DEALER AND THE ISSUE WAS BUT I WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD HAPPEND AGAIN BECAUSE THAT IS A COMMON ISSUED WITH RAM 1500 SINGLE CABS WITH 3:92 GEARS AND 8 SPEED TRANSMISSION. IF RAM AND CHRYSLER ARE WELL AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM WHY NOT FIXED IT. I'M SCARED THAT IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN AS I WAS TOLD AND AT THAT TIME I WILL NOT HAVE FACTORY WARRANTY AND WILL COST ME A LOT OF MONEY IN ORDER TO FIX A PROBLEM THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED BY THE AUTOMAKERS

THE CRUISE CONTROL TURNED ITSELF ON, WHILE TRYING TO TURN IT OFF THE GAS ACCELERATED AND I WAS UNABLE TO DISENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL. I WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE SPEED AS IT KEPT RISING, CAUSING ME TO GO INTO THE DITCH STRIKING A 6 FT CULVERT TILE AND FLIPPING MY VEHICLE. *DSY *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 RAM 1500 EQUIPPED WITH GOODYEAR WRANGLER TIRES, SIZE: 225/75R16. UPON INSPECTION, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT BOTH FRONT TIRES HAD SIDEWALL DAMAGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT TIRE FACILITY WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EQUIPPED WITH INCORRECT TIRES. THE FACILITY DECLINED TO SERVICE THE TIRES. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE DEALERS WERE INSTRUCTED NOT TO INSTALL THOSE TIRES ON THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER ALSO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WOULD NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR REPLACING THE TIRES DUE TO A NON-FACTORY DEALER INSTALLING THE TIRES. UPON CONTACTING AN UNKNOWN DEALER, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT GOODYEAR HAD APPROVED THE TIRE INSTALLATION. THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,300. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
THERE IS ONE RECALL FOUND ON THE RECORDS AND IT STATES THAT REPAIR IS REQUIRED BY A DEALER. WILL THIS BE TAKEN CARE OF PRIOR TO ME LOOKING AT THE CAR?
"TAKATA RECALL" ON MY TRUCK, THE TAILGATE WILL RANDOMLY OPEN WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I HAVE HAD MY LAWN MOWER FLY OUT INTO THE ROAD ON THE INTERSTATE DUE TO THIS ISSUE. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE DONE MY RESEARCH AND I SEE THERE ARE A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE WHO ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE. I HAVE EMAILED RAM AND MOPAR WITH NO RESPONSE. THEY WANT $350 TO FIX THIS AT THE DEALERSHIP. MY TRUCK IS A 2017 I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY TO REPLACE A PART THAT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALLED ISSUE. SOMETIMES THE TRUCK WON'T RECOGNIZE THE KEY FOBS. TRUCK INSTRUMENT PANEL WILL CONTINUE TO DISPLAY KEY FOB HAS LEFT THE VECHILE AND THE CHIME CONTINUE TO SOUND EVEN THO I HAVE THE KEY FOB IN MY POSSESSION. I CAN PUT THE VECHILE IN GEAR AND DRIVE BUT INSTRUMENT PANEL WILL CONTINUE TO DISPLAY KEY FOB HAS LEFT THE VECHILE AND THE CHIME WON'T STOP SOUNDING. (I HAVE VIDEOS AND PICTURES OF THIS ISSUE) . ALSO WHEN I USED THE SPEED CONTROL AT A STEADY SPEED AND THAN USE THE CRUISE CONTROL TO REDUCE THE SPEED WHEN I COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND PRESS THE GAS PEDAL AGAIN THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT DIFFERENTLY. DEALER TECH IS TRYING TO FIX THE PROBLEM . A REQUEST WAS MADE TO CORPORATE ENGINEERS FOR ASSISTANTS FIXING THE PROBLEM. DEALER AND ENGINEERS ARE WORKING TOGETHER TRYING TO FIGURED THE KEY FOB PROBLEM.VECHICLE MILEAGE APPROXIMATELY 11400.
THE TAILGATE ON MY RAM HAS OPENED TWICE WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. ONCE WHILE I WAS PULLING A SMALL TRAILER. THE TAILGATE FELL OPEN HITTING THE TRAILER JACK CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE TAILGATE. THIS IS A LEASE VEHICLE AND I WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT DAMAGE. BOTH TIMES I WAS PARKED AND HAD JUST STARTED TO LEAVE.

SO AS WE SPEAK TRUCK IS GETTING TRANSFER TO ANOTHER SHOP TO GET IT FIX WITH DODGE PARTS. I SEE ONLINE THAT THE DIFFERENTIALS ON 1500 HAVE A RECALL IN MY YEAR.
THE TAILGATE LATCH FAILS AND TAILGATE FALLS DOWN IN THE OPEN POSITION. VERY UNSAFE IF BED IS LOADED. ALSO COULD GET DAMAGED IF HAULING A TRAILER OR CAMPER. THIS HAPPENS AFTER THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCK ENGAGES AFTER 5 TO 15 MPH. THIS HAPPENS DAILY WHILE IN MOTION.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE RENTAL FACILITY. THE DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR DETAILS WERE NOT DISCLOSED. THE DOT NUMBER AND TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE. I LIVE IN THE NORTHWEST IN COLDER CLIMATES WAS SNOW AND I LOSE ACCELERATION AND TRACTION WHEN GOING UP HILLS. I HAVE BEEN IN NUMEROUS CLOSE CALLS. IT HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP 3 * AND CHRYSLER SAYS IT OPERATES ON DESIGN BECAUSE IT IS NOT THROWING ANY CODES FOR THEM TO READ. I WANT TO KNOW WHERE A 5 SECOND DELAY IN ACCELERATION IS SAFE? FUEL SENSOR FAILURE: AS SOON AS THE FUEL LEVEL IN THE TANK GOES BELOW HALF TANK WHILE DRIVING, THE SENSOR FAILS AND SHOWS NO FUEL IN THE TANK. DRIVER HAS NO ACCURATE IDEA OF THE CORRECT FUEL AMOUNT UNTIL YOU REFILL THE TANK TO ABOVE THE HALF TANK LEVEL. THERE IS A RECALL THAT EXIST FOR OTHER MODELS OF 2017 DODGE RAM 1500 TRUCKS.
