My Uconnect 8.4 screen is becoming to delaminated on my 2018 ram 1500 limited, the system is beginning to fail i.e. random calling, GPS issues and possible other integrated safety features. Driving in the National Capital Region in Maryland is dangerous and relay heavy on the display display. The problem has been reported however it is not covered. there are numerous posts and complaints regarding similar occurrences and it has not been issued as a recall. this shouldn't happen on new vehicle and needs to be corrected before some is injured.
U Connect 8.4 screen is delaminating causing distracting information to appear on screen. Keeps asking if I want to adjust the clock. If you touch yes, no, or X it will reappear seconds later with an annoying beep and continue over and over. This is a known problem among many Dodge and Chrysler vehicles which they refuse to address if out of their basic warranty. My vehicle only has 21,289 mi. at this time.
The In-Car Entertainment System is responsible for controlling multiple sources of entertainment, climate control, heads-up navigation, hands-free phone use, and others. The unit is the Uconnect 4C by Harman. This system has a problem with the touchscreen delaminating, or coming loose, from the display. When this happens, the touchscreen will send multiple and variable "touches" without user involvement. While driving my vehicle on 10/5/2021, this fault caused my navigation system to change to an unreadable state, which resulted in a serious distraction while driving. The distraction lead to my approaching near to another vehicle on the road and resulting in a subsequent swerve to avoid a collision. This problem is a SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE due to the distracting nature of the display in this condition. The issue is a known issue by both Uconnect company and the Chrysler company. I have reported the safety issue and they are unwilling to address it. The first picture provided shows the delamination of the touchscreen from the display. The effect can be seen by a semi-circular line about halfway down the display. The second picture provided shows a non-commanded screen press at the top center of the screen (note the circle indicating the recognition of a push). This was observed to happen 14 times in 16 seconds. I have videos (not provided) of the what happens during navigation. It is extremely distracting during navigation and makes driving in a high-traffic situation almost impossible. There is not a way to turn off the display, which in turn forces the distraction continuously and without a way for driver intervention. This problem is known throughout the industry, which I learned by contacting my local Dodge dealer and the Uconnect company. Many reports exist on the internet, also. NOTE: This is not a wear out item and there is nothing in the manual about routine safety maintenance on the touchscreen or the unit. i.e. not user serviceable.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated while having the oil changed at a local mechanic, the contact was informed of a leak coming from the oil cooler filter housing. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be inspected. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.
When fueling the truck will not allow more than a few cents worth of gas to go in. You immediately hear the sound as if it is full and pumping stops. This is a known problem that Ram Truck company ignores. It has been documented since 2015. The danger is since you can't tell the difference between the constant shut off Nd when a truck is full and you keep trying to put gas in the truck then gas sprays out of the filler neck. It has covered my hand in fuel as well as my clothing and poured onto the ground. There are no warning lights saying there is an issue. I have contacted the dealer and their response in email was "there is no open recall". There are also numerous complaints on the Ram Truck forum and a class action is being started.
While driving on at 75 mph with the cruise control on I went to reset the MPG and the screen was blank. Started pressing the left/right arrows and the entire cluster restarts (power cycles). I was able to repeat it several more times and capture it on film, link below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saQ_5ezRV-0
Due to manufacturing defect the screens on the navigation unit have begun delaminatig from the actual system. This results in the inability to view map and other controls safely. As result hands free communications and map viewing are not possible. The screens should be repaired to their OEM state before somebody gets killed trying to fumble their phone since the OEM equipment is defective.
My 2018 (30,134.mi) Ram pickup truck design is defective. Specifically, the defective fuel tank filler neck (the “Filler Neck Defect”) cause standard gas-station nozzles—which work perfectly well with other vehicles—to become lodged in the opening to my Ram fuel tanks. I have to physically wrench the gas nozzle free. A side effect of the filler neck’s design is that it triggers the gas pumps’ automatic shutoff when the tank isn’t full yet. The pump shuts off every few seconds, forcing me to fill the trucks’ tanks “mere ounces at a time.” https://www.classaction.org/blog/class-action-says-defect-to-blame-for-dodge-ram-refueling-issues#comments
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while attempting to accelerate from a stop, the vehicle failed to respond as needed. The contact stated that when the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle was slow to respond. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, an abnormal ticking noise was heard. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and diagnosed that the manifold had warped and damaged the manifold bolts. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was out of warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 61,174.
I was traveling down a rural road with a 45 MPH speed limit, During acceleration the throttle on my truck stayed open, it accelerated to approximately 60 MPH and would not stop accelerating until I forcibly pressed the brake pedal. The truck was still accelerating even when I pressed the brake pedal. A couple seconds passed and then it finally depressed the accelerator pedal and I was able to slow down. The Throttle error light came on for around 20 seconds and then shut back off and the vehicle returned to normal. I am taking it to a dealership for review and hopeful fix of the issue.
Navigation system started jumping around different screens while traveling in an unknown area. It almost caused an accident several times from being startled from not knowing where I was going and from losing visibility of the upcoming Road. I have video of this happening.
8.4 inch Uconnect display has intermittent "ghost" pressing buttons. This causes the radio station to change, settings to change, back up camera to activate for minutes at a time, and now phone calls are being terminated. I am in Illinois and we have a "hands free" law for cellular phone use. The phone calls being randomly terminated could interrupt emergency communications. This random termination of phone calls is a huge distraction because you look at the radio display to see what is going on and then try to interact with the display to fix it. The root cause of this is the bubbling or delamination of the 8.4 inch Uconnect display. This delamination has been a known issue since 2013. My delamination issues are getting worse. I continue to report these issues to Uconnect, but they tell me there is nothing they can do.
Uconnect 8.4 inch display is bubbling or delaminating. This morning I was driving thru city traffic, about 5 miles total. The "ghost" was pushing buttons on the display changing radio stations, settings etc. Suddenly the BACK UP CAMERA CAME ON. Then it would turn off. I started timing the on time, and it lasted from 2 minutes to 4 minutes. This would randomly happen. VERY distracting and could lead to an accident. I consulted the google and learned there was a recall for something similar of the back up camera staying on too long when shifting out of reverse. NHTSA #20V191000. What has happened to me is far worse than that recall.
The screen, used for HVAC functions, seat heating/cooling, radio, hands-free bluetooth, backup camera, etc, becoming delaminated. Screen will randomly think that it is being pressed and disconnect phone calls, modify HVAC levels, and change radio stations. This is becoming a widely recognized issue across several vehicles that use the Uconnect 8.4 inch touchscreen (CDJR vehicles). Please see: https://www.challengertalk.com/threads/uconnect-touch-screen-delamination-out-of-warranty.687807 https://www.ramforumz.com/threads/uconnect-8-4-screen-delamination.274234 and many others about this SAFETY critical issue.
My complaint is with the infotainment system 8.4 uconnect screen delaminating. This delamination is causing ghost touches on the screen. It causes the A/C and heat to switch on and off. Changes the ride height on my air ride to adjust. Has made random phone calls when connected to my phone, changes radio stations. Almost every system in the truck is controlled from the radio screen and it cam and has changes things while driving cause distractions and possible unsafe actions to occur. To me this product is u safe when the delamination of the screen happens. Please help
2018 Ram 8.4 Uconnect infotainment screen is delaminating. The system places calls and changes settings frequently and randomly with out warning. The changes are more than an annoyance and cause the driver to be distracted. the volume must be muted to stop from allowing the radio to turn up the volume and be even more distracting, but an audible beep can be heard with every change and its distraction cannot be ignored. The changes are very distracting and make it impossible to use hands free navigation. The system interrupts calls made using paired cell phone and Calls are ended irrelevant of nature. The system also places unrequested calls if the system is left on that particular screen. The Uconnect screen delaminating is very common and know issue. It was inspected by the dealership and they said the system must be replaced. what’s seem to have not been accepted is that it is a hazardous distraction and potentially stops the user from accessing help when needed until it can be replaced. Many drivers cannot park their car for days/weeks until the u it is replaced even if you ignore the $1200 proposed cost of replacement.
1. Electric Power Steering (EPS) failure causes sporadic or no power steering. 2. I was driving when the steering was sporadic causing oversteering and then when it totally went out the vehicle the vehicle was very hard to steer. 3. Dealer has the truck now for diagnosis. This is a known component manufactures defect. 4. About 3 weeks before steering went out there was a clicking noise when turning. I contacted the dealer and scheduled an appointment. I spoke to a technician, at that time, and was told the noise was normal and no appointment was necessary. Appointment was subsequently canceled, 3 weeks later the failure occurred. Many of the blogs online show this issue to be a safety problem. Manufactures defect. Please address this issue it is a safety issue to everyone who has EPS.
this vehicle it's located at the New England area where winter eats metal. the links and axis axle are exposed to salt on winter months. see images attached. the whole underline vehicle should have a decent anti rust protective coat. the rear transmission cap should be replaced as well.
The ram 8.4 uconnect screen is delaminating. This causing the screen to "ghost click" everywhere constantly. This includes: randomly calling people, changing radio stations, changing volume, clicking in and out of my map/navigation, changing clock, changing climate control, etc. It is very distracting and dangerous while driving. Its basically unusable and even once it started an emergency call over and over.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while attempting to refuel the vehicle, the fuel nozzle would become stuck in the fuel tank which caused the gasoline to spill out and the contact had to forcefully pull the fuel nozzle from the fuel tank in order for it to detach. The dealer was made aware of the failure and scheduled an upcoming appointment for diagnosis. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 28,000.
Automatic Air Suspension defective. Truck back 2 wheels remains in "off road" mode while the front 2 tires remain in" plant" mode. Brought to carmax after owning for a month. they brought to dealer where is was serviced and fixed at the time. same issue is ongoing after now 2nd attempt to fix. replaced relay part and broke a week later. now having battery and alternator issues along with suspension is still broken.
The 2018 infotainment system delaminated resulting in loss of control of the radio, loss of hands off assistance from Android Auto,, and loss of control of the various auxiliary electrical functions such as the clock, setting temperature controls, etc. Vehicle only has 51,000 miles on the odometer. Costs $957.00 to replace the unit.
The passenger seat belt buckle was rough or sharp enough that it cut into the belt fabric. It would ride up the belt when retracting and hit the upper limit of travel and cut into the belt. For safety I needed to replace the belt with a new one. I saved the torn seat belt assembly and my receipt for the repair.
Cruise control on 65mph going down hill. Transmission dropped into a lower gear. Vehicle immediately slowed down immediately by probably 20-30 mph. Everything in vehicle was thrown forward. I struggled to keep control and thought I was going to roll and crash off of roadway, or hit another vehicle. This was not a problem for two years, until June of this year. Driven the same stretch of highway a dozen times without incident. 21,000 on vehicle now. I took the RAM tech for a ride to reproduce the incident. Did it on a small hill at 25-30mph and reproduced the problem several times at the same location of the hill. Transmission drops into lower gear, makes a kind of grinding or similar noise. Then it stays in this lower gear straining until the brake is pushed to turn cruise off. Told him of losing control on big hill and nearly crashing. No warning lights or warning of any kind. Their response that a slight speed change is BS. 65mph to 30 or what it was in a couple seconds is not slight. It also states temporary. Even with the tech seeing it, it is not temporary. You have to push the brake to get it back into the right gear. At 30mph on test runs. Losing control of vehicle and they come up with this. You can inspect my vehicle. No sales rep ever mentioned that you shouldn't use cruise control on a hill. What a scam. Not happy with my RAM purchase now.
There is a manufacture defect within the UConnect 8.4" screen that causes an adhesive layer to melt and limit the functionality of safety features. A bubble started forming under the screen with the size less than a dime, but has already quadrupled in size since I first noticed it. There is nothing that I can do to make it stop. I have had ghost touches, ranging from drastically reducing and increasing volume, and even having the backup camera turn off because it thinks I'm doing something else. These instances have been rare, but have been starting to become more frequent as the bubble grows larger. I've contacted dealerships and FCA customer support, and they both acknowledged that this is a common problem, but will not help since I'm out of warranty. There are hundreds of documented cases of this happening to a wide variety of FCA vehicles, with many of them being will under 10,000 miles. I should not have to pay for a manufacture defect because my odometer is higher than others. There are even cases of screens dialing 911 on accident or hanging up phone calls. What If I need to call 911 but am unable to? What if I'm using the backup camera, and it decides to randomly turn off? What if the melting adhesive drips and cause s a critical failure while I'm driving? What if the screen doesn't display the correct info for my parking sensors? These are all issues that should've been addressed long ago, but FCA refuses to fix them. There are even class-action lawsuits against FCA for UConnect malfunctions right now. These aren't rare occurrences. Should I have to wait months, if not years, for a settlement to be made? This issue has plagued FCA vehicles since this screen has been implemented, and it is dangerous to let thousands of vehicles run with such an unsafe product that is critical for the vehicle to function properly.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated while operating the vehicle, the backup camera display would not operate and was completely dark. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 33,000.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 19V757000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
- What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? - The entire touch screen feature has failed in the vehicle. This has affected the navigation, radio, back-up camera, climate, etc. control in the vehicle. The system also unpredictably crashes completely, mid transit. It is available for inspection upon request. Also, the switches governing the operation of the front row windows has sporadically failed at times (unrelated to the center console, but a clear electrical issue). - How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The entire system affecting the items listed above crashes mid transit. If I were backing up, my visibility would be lost completely. If there was an emergency vehicle, I may not hear instructions from that vehicle as I would not be able to turn down the volume to my radio. If I were using the navigational features of the car, when it crashes, it may cause injury to myself, my passengers or others. When window functionality is lost, elements are able to enter the cab which may affect driver performance. - Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Service appointment to address these issues scheduled for Jan. 7, 2022. - Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Service appointment to address these issues scheduled for Jan. 7, 2022. - Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No.
Vehicle engine shuts off while driving. Once, sitting at a stop light. Once traveling at 45mph on a country road and once accelerating up a hill at 20mph. Dash says "place vehicle in park and turn key to start" (paraphrased). The vehicle goes from running to not running with no warning, causing loss of power steering, brakes, etc. Took vehicle to certified RAM service center who said 'there are no codes and we cannot reproduce the issue, so no diagnosis possible' (paraphrased). No error codes, no warning lamps. If this happens in highway traffic with my 16 year old son driving, it could cause a fatal crash.
The radio/touch screen component control on the dash started clicking around the screen on its own. I took the vehicle to my local dealership and they told me that the components behind the screen had melted. My dealership was aware of several complaints of this on my vehicle model and other Dodge vehicles with similar radio/touch screen equipment, indicating that it is a widespread issue. This is unsafe because with all of the flickering around on the screen, it is very distracting to drive. I cannot turn the screen display off because it keeps turning itself back on. Also, this issue has rendered my hands free blue tooth connection for my phone inoperable. I am also concerned that this electrical issue may cause a fire. My dealership informed me that my factory warranty had expired by less than a month. I called Dodge customer service and they refused to pay for the repairs under the factory warranty. I informed them of the safety issue that this is causing, but they still refused to fix it. Therefore, I am having to pay for these repairs through the extended warranty plan that I purchased from Carmax and partially out of pocket. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate how widespread this issue is and if it warrants a mandatory recall by Dodge.
When I was driving on 5/15/21, I smell something rubber burn. After I drove a while, I saw some white smoke coming out under hood passenger site around above right tire. I stop and check, found nothing. When it happen, I also can hear a whistle sound when accelerating. After get home, 5/16, I checked the bottom of car. I found a sensor hanging. On 5/17, I brought it to dealer to fix it. During the trip, the smoke comes out again.
Component that has failed is the Uconnect system. It control GPS, phone, radio, temperature settings, doors, etc. My safety has been put at risk for various reasons; the phone inexplicably will start dialing different people over and over without my prompting and I have to do my best to cancel each if they calls while driving. When I pulled over on the Hwy to avoid more distractions, It took several attempts to move to another mode to get it to stop. After exiting the vehicle to regain my composure, the vehicle locked me out while running leaving me stranded on the side of the Hwy until a locksmith was summoned for me by a concerned motorist. Also while driving, the heat would inadvertently switch to highest heat possible and seat warmers would kick on even though the temp had been set previously at 70 degrees. Mind you, outside temperature was 100 degrees. Problem had been reproduced and had been acknowledged by the dealer and Chrysler. Dealer and online blogs both stated it’s a known problem with many vehicles with this Uconnect device. Problem original started with radio stations switching on their own and has recently progressed to all systems controlled by this devise radically changing while in motion.
I was driving and my high beams went out dash lights went out and windshield wipers went on on there own . I then came to a stop light and applied the break and all of the sudden the truck red lined and took off at full speed . I then turned the truck off to kill power to the motor due to it having electrical knob shifter and electrical transfer case This accident has caused my 3 hospital stays and 2 surgery’s
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the defroster failed to defrost the windows and she was unable to visually see the roadway. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer where it was diagnosed with needing the radio assembly to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired but was pending repairs. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.
The UCONNECT 8.4 screen has delaminated and phantom touches constantly. I the phantom touches have caused several distractions to include turning on the rear view camera, adjusting the climate control settings, and calling people if a phone is connected. I have had almost two accidents caused by the distractions that this issue has caused while driving and been pulled over for using a cell phone to stop a call that screen made. The dealership has seen the vehicle and told me it is a common occurrence for this model of UCONNECT. I have called UCONNECT and Ram to see if they would replace the screen and have refused to do so.
THE SCREEN/DIGITIZER ON MY UCONNECT INFOTAINMENT CENTER 8.4" 4C WITH NAVIGATION IS DELAMINATING. THIS IS CAUSING SEVERAL ISSUES, INCLUDING: OCCASIONAL LOSS OF REAR BACKUP CAMERA, LOSS OF HVAC CONTROL FOR DE-ICING AND DEFOGGING OF THE FRONT WINDSCREEN, GHOST TAPS THAT CAUSE UNEXPECTED AND UNSAFE DISTRACTION, UNDESIRED ACTIVATION OF CONNECTED PHONES, AND INABILITY TO ACCESS IMPORTANT DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION. THESE MALFUNCTIONS ARE RANDOM AND UNEXPECTED. IT CAN HAPPEN WHILE STATIONARY OR MOVING. SPEED OR LOCATION OF VEHICLE DO NOT SEEM TO TRIGGER OR IMPACT THESE MALFUNCTIONS. UCONNECT REFUSED MY REQUEST TO REPAIR OR REPLACE THE OBVIOUS MANUFACTURER DEFECTIVE UNIT.
THE RADIO THAT COMES STOCK RANDOMLY STARTS TO DELAMINATE. IN DOING SO, IT BEGINS TO INTERFERE WITH THE TOUCH SCREEN PERFORMANCE AND BECOMES EXTREMELY DISRUPTIVE TO THE DRIVER WITH THE CONSTANT CHANGES, RADIO CHANGES, SCREEN CHANGES, PUSHING THINGS CONSTANTLY ON THE SCREEN WITHOUT USER INPUT - IF USING APPLE OR ANDROID, IT CAN GET STUCK IN LOOPS TRYING TO GET YOU TO CALL OR TEXT OR OTHER LOOPS WHERE IT CONSTANTLY CHANGES YOUR MUSIC. EVEN IF YOU TURN THE SCREEN OFF IT WILL COME BACK ON AND GO NUTS. THIS HAPPENS ANYTIME THE VEHICLE IS TURNED ON AND IS VERY DISRUPTIVE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE. THERE IS NO WAY TO PREVENT IT OTHER THAN REMOVING THE FUSE BUT THEN YOU ARE LEFT WITHOUT A MEANS TO HAVE HANDS FREE DRIVING AND NAVIGATION.
FUELING WHILE STATIONARY FUEL NOZZLE DOES NOT FIT PROPERLY INTO REFUEL NECK OF VEHICLE. I MUST LIFT UP ON HANDLE AND NOZZLE ENTIRE TIME OF FUELING. HAVING TO DO THIS CAUSES PAIN IN WRISTS AND SLOWS REFUELING TIME. LOCKING MECANISM IN HANDLE WIIL NOT HOLD KICKING OFF FLOW OF FUEL HAVING TO REPEAT THE PROCESS, THUS AGGRAVATING OTHERS IN CROWDED WAIT LINES. PEOPLE YELL ANGRILY COMING CLOSE TO PHYSICAL CONFLICT. OTHERS IN VEHICLE FORUMS EXPRESS SAME. THERE ARE AFTER MARKET FIXES BUT NOT ALL HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM.
I am having problems with the 8.4 uconnect radio. 1 week after I purchased the truck (used) I noticed that the screen was cracked on the radio. Since then, the radio has gone haywire. It has tried making SOS calls (service is disconnected), randomly called people from my phone book. The radio will randomly switch radio stations or bands, and will turn itself on and off while driving. It will turn the a/c on and off or will make the fans go from low to full blast. When backing up the backup camera will randomly go back. I can't pull the fuse because the touch screen controls everything.
The in-dash audio system is shorting out. GPS will not work; U-Connect cannot make or receive calls (safety issue); U-Connect will make random phone calls over and over again, causing the driver to try and stop the calls while driving (safety issue); radio changes constantly between radio, Sirius, Aux and Phone (you cannot turn it off). It also affects the a/c and heat. I cannot believe this issue has not been recalled. I understand it is a real problem in the Ram trucks. Dodge needs to take care of this immediately! I do not drive the truck much because it is dangerous.
NOTICEABLE TICKING SOUND FROM ENGINE BAY WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STARTED. THE SOUND CONTINUES AND GETS FASTER WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND ONTO THE FREEWAY. THE SOUND IS CAUSED FROM A DEFECT IN THE DESIGN OF THE EXHAUST MANIFOLDS. THEY WARP FROM THE HEAT OF THE ENGINE AND SNAP THE BOLTS THAT HOLD THEM TO THE ENGINE BLOCK. PROBLEMS THAT THIS CAUSES; - LEAKING EXHAUST TRIPS THE O2 SENSOR CHANGING THE FUEL TRIMS AND CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO RUN RICH. THE VEHICLE ALWAYS RUNNING RICH EFFECTS THE ECO MODE AND VEHICLE PERFORMANCE THUS CAUSES LONG TERM DAMAGE. - WHEN THE BOLTS SNAP OFF THEY DROP OUT THE BOTTOM OF THE VEHICLE AND BECOME A PROJECTILE THAT HITS THE WINDSHIELD OF UNSUSPECTING DRIVERS AND CAUSE ACCIDENTS. - HEAT CAUSED FROM THE HEAT SHIELD FALLING OFF AND THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BEING LOOSE CAUSES WIRES IN THE ENGINE BAY TO MELT AND FRAY. THIS CAUSES ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTIONS TO MAJOR SYSTEMS IN THE VEHICLE TO INCLUDE SAFETY SYSTEMS THAT KEEP THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SAFE. - LEAKING EXHAUST CAUSES EROSION TO THE ENGINE BLOCK AND THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD AS IT WARPS EVEN MORE. THIS MALFUNCTION IS A HAZARD TO NOT ONLY THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER OF THE VEHICLE BUT ALSO UNSUSPECTING DRIVERS ON THE ROAD THAT WILL BE COME VICTIMS TO PROJECTILES FROM THIS DEFECT. RECALL IMMEDIATELY TO SAVE LIVES!
GAS PUMP NOZZLE GOT STUCK IN MY TRUCKS GETTING GAS I HAD TO SIT AT WAWA 3 HOURS FOR HELP MARCH 2021 NOW I AM IN FEAR OF DRIVING MY TRUCK I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK FOR RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION FOR MY CANCER TREATMENTS I DID NOT NEED THIS ADD PROBLEM I AM AFRAID TO GET GAS & HAVE DAMAGES TO MY TRUCK NOW WHAT

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2018 RAM 1500 DIESEL WITH 23,000 MILES FROM CARMAX. THERE IS A RECALL, VB1, ON THE TRUCK. THE PARTS REQUIRED TO FIX THE RECALL ARE UNAVAILABLE IN A TIMELY MANNER. I CONTACTED 7 RAM DEALERSHIPS IN MY AREA TO DISCOVER EACH HAS A WAITING LIST FOR THE PARTS OF 70 TO 200 VEHICLES BECAUSE THE PARTS ARE "RESTRICTED"; ONLY 1 PART MAY BE ORDERED PER WEEK BY ANY DEALERSHIP. THEREFORE, THE ACTUAL TIME REQUIRED TO REPAIR THE DEFECT IS AT MINIMUM IS 1 TO 3 YEARS AT THAT RATE. ACCORDING TO THE RECALL VB1 THERE IS A RISK OF A POTENTIAL VEHICLE FIRE. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER (FCA) CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE TO GET THE PARTS FASTER TO THE DEALERS SINCE THEY ARE RESTRICTED TO 1 PART PER ORDER PER WEEK, THAT THERE IS NO ETA OF WHEN , IF AT ALL, THE SUPPLY OF PARTS WILL BE INCREASED. I AM FILLING THIS COMPLAINT SO PERHAPS OTHERS WILL NOT SUFFER THE SAME PROBLEM IF THEY PURCHASE A USED RAM TRUCK WITH THIS RECALL.
