When attempting to refuel the vehicle with gasoline, the refueling nozzle automatically stops after just 1 or 2 seconds of fueling at the full flow rate. Even at somewhat slower rates, something happens to cause the refueling nozzle to shut off ("click off") the fuel flow. Operating the refueling nozzle at a very slow rate is the only way to get fuel into the vehicle. This takes a very long time. Pulling the nozzle partially out of the filler neck can help increase the flow rate, but then gasoline unexpectedly splashes/spills out of the filler neck and can splash on the person refueling as well as down the side of the vehicle and onto the ground. This situation is a fire hazard and an environmental hazard.
Check engine light turned on, i checked with two different code check device readers and both came up with code "P26FB" Powertrain System, Update Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

Driving in my neighborhood at 25 mph when the sunroof EXPLODED and SHATTERED for no reason. Nothing impacted the glass and there were no chips whatsoever. Took it to the dealership and they agreed that nothing impacted the glass or went thru the glass, and that it just spontaneously exploded. This is becoming a common issue with Rams and is a MASSIVE safety issue. Had this happened at highway speed with the retractable cloth roof open it would have cause a SERIOUS situation of glass falling on me, the driver, and anyone else in the vehicle and having pieces of glass flying around in faces and being inhaled. This incident needs to be addressed and Ram needs to put out at the very least a TSB or actually admit a fault and confirm a recall. Ram is notorious for ignoring manufactured part defects and needs to be held ACCOUNTABLE for the poor quality of product they are putting out on the road and putting people's lives at risk.
Several times I’ve been backing up and for no reason the truck jerks to a stop and some kind of alarm or buzzer goes off and it jerks to a complete stop even when I’m not close to anything.
On [XXX], my husband tried to start the truck and nothing would happen. We originally thought the key fob battery was bad, changed the battery and the truck still would not start. We had it towed to the Singing River Chrysler dealership in Florence, Alabama and they told us the Radio Frequency Hub/wireless receiver (located in the back of the cab) was bad due to a water leak. This truck is kept under a carport when it is not driven it was a shock to us that water could have caused the issue. They also informed us there was a bulletin posted on how to fix it. This problem causes the vehicle to shut down, with no steering, with no brakes, if an individual is driving in the rain and this happens it would cause an accident and potentially lives lost. There needs to be some kind of recall to have it fixed. At this time it is going to cost $1,000.00 to fix a manufacturer defect that I should not have to pay for. Recall on vehicle I just bought for a long trip, has no remedy!
Ram continues to refuse to implement a fix for Recall 24V-653. The ABS disabling the Electronic Stability Control is extremely dangerous and renders my truck unfit for its intended purpose. Additionally the failure to implement a fix has made it impossible to sell or trade in my truck fir it's full market value.

I am contacting you on behalf of my uncle in regards to this. He noticed that my cab and truck bed was separating, so they made an appointment for the dealership that he purchased it from. It was then brought to their collision shop and after further inspection, he was told that it was in fact a manufacturer’s defect and they could not help him. He was told to take it home and just weld it himself. He did purchase a warranty and apparently it expired I believe this past December. Chrysler Cares and Ram Cares were both called and both have said they could not help. Given the year of the vehicle and the issue we are rather confused on how this happened and how/why this is not a covered repair. Clearly this is a manufacturer defect. Furthermore, how is this safe to drive? Clearly both can detach while driving and cause a catastrophic accident resulting in fatalities. Who is then responsible? The dealership for turning away a blind eye, Ram, Stellantis, Chrysler Cares because they were made away and chose to not help and the same with Ram Cares? All of this could result in lawsuits. He feels unsafe driving this now, sadly he is now stuck with this vehicle as he is still paying this vehicle off. This is an issue that needs to be resolved immediately as the safety risks it brings. That’s all he wants is for it to be fixed PROPERLY and not out of his pocket or for it to done as Goodwill. It should not be a Goodwill program as Ram Cares suggested. This is a manufacturing defect and proper ownership and repairs need to happen. The vehicle is still at Rouen in Woodville, Ohio and at this moment it has 32,663 miles. So there’s not a lot of miles on this vehicle for this to have happened. I used my best judgement on miles when brought in and I’m not sure when the issue was first noticed. But the date I listed was when the vehicle was there.
Steering went out as I was turning “right”onto the street we live. The vehicle would not turn thus causing the rear end to hit a storm drain and slash the side wall of my right rear tire. The tire immediately went flat. It took me several minutes to inch back and forth to get the truck into my drive and out of the street. I contacted the Ram dealer here in Flowood, Ms and got a car hauler to come get it the next morning. When we rolled it back to allow the car hauler room to winch it up, three of the tires and wheels were straight but the right front was positioned at a 45* angle inwards. Service department at dealer said it was an internal issue and they would order the part. That was Friday [XXX]. I got it back on Friday [XXX]. I called Ram during this time and they gave me a case number and a case manager. I told the case manager what happened and his comment was “wow”. I explained to him that I felt it was a serious issue bc I could have been traveling at a higher rate of speed than what I was. He said he has one other case with the same issue . I have never had a vehicle that the steering went out. This truck has just under 50k miles and all miles are street or highway. After changing the battery, my truck was affected by a computer malfunction which caused my ABS, forward collision detection, electronic stability control and other systems to not work and indicate trouble in the dash. I took it to the dealer, and they charged me $205 to reprogram the computer. These are all symptoms of recall 85B, but my VIN is not in the affected list at this time. I believe the list should be expanded and that I should receive a refund from FCA for the repair work that was completed.
ON 9 separate occasions, the truck has issued the same warning light for "Powertrain Malfunction Indicator Light". We have written records and emails of specific days each time the truck lights issued this warning. On 2 of these 9 alerts, the truck completely shut down and was unable to start for approximately 30 minutes. We have taken the truck to the dealer multiple times and they have been unable to address this issue. Recently, we saw that RAM recalled 1.2mm trucks of the same model and year as our truck. The recall is number 24V65300. I do not know if this is related but this seems very similar to the software problems we are having on this truck. The fact that this electronic malfunction completely shuts down the truck is very concerning.
bought vehicle with Mopar warranty, the fuel filter housing sensor failed and was leaking diesel fuel into the wiring harness which could cause a fire in the electrical system, truck has been at the dealer for over a month and Stellantis just went and stopped making the wiring harness part number 68474576AD with no replacement, they will not return calls from us or the dealer. We are at wits end and need your help.
This has happened twice. The first Time Ram replaced the part no charge Warranty. The drivers side Sun visor breaks where it is hooked on to the interior roof. It falls down only hanging by the wires for the light in the visor. Yesterday it did it while driving on Highway. I allmost crashed. The part is on back order and Ram doesnt know when they will get them. Without it you are blinded by the Sun. Dangerous.
The contact owns a 2021 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while reversing, the steering wheel seized. The contact stated that the wheels were turned to the left during the failure. The traction control warning light was illuminated, and the service trailer brake message was displayed. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, who was unable to release the steering column to place the vehicle on the lift. The vehicle was diagnosed and determined that the rack and pinion and steering column needed to be replaced, but the parts were on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000.
Both of the front driver and passenger side flip down sun visors have broken within one week of each other. Each visor is attached to the ceiling of the cab by a metal arm with a plastic retaining clip. That plastic clip has broken on both visors within one week of each other and my truck only gets very light use. Since the retaining clip is broken both visors fall out of the ceiling and hang in the view of the driver and block the line of sight, which means the driver can not see directly in front forward. I have spoken to the local Dage Ram dealership who sold me the truck as well as the main national Ram customer service and both say the repair is outside of warranty even though its a safety issue and a clear defect so they will not fix the issues without me paying form $550 plus labor for each visor.
There was a software problem with the e-torque system of my truck. From what the dealership stated it was over charging my 12v battery under the hood. It ultimately made my 12v vehicle battery fail. upon this my truck has the start stop feature multiple times at random intervals at stop lights when the start stop was activated my truck would not restart with out a jump pack. This left me in a live traffic lane in at a stop light multiple times. I can upload the dealer repair sheet if requested
I was driving on the highway when my vehicle suddenly lost power and simultaneously the service throttle control and service electronic stability control messages came up as well as the check engine light came on. This also happened last November and the dealer said they fixed the issue (high pressure fuel pump) but it has now happened again. I was concerned for my safety as well as my passengers and others as we did not have adequate power to get up a hill. And the sudden slowing nearly caused an accident.
LEFT HAND TURN SINGLE WILL NOT CANCEL/TURN OFF. I SEE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS BUT MY TRUCK WAS/IN NOT PART OF IT

Change in acceleration since purchasing truck. Discovered recently the fuel pump was causing the problem. Also the air bag light comes on and warning of a safety issue.
In July 2024, with approximately 31,500 miles on my vehicle, I began experiencing issues with the "service electronic braking system" warning appearing on the dashboard. I brought the vehicle in for inspection, and the dealership identified and replaced the tire sensor under my extended warranty. A week later, the warning reappeared, and the dealership replaced the brake master cylinder sensor, also under warranty. However, upon picking up the vehicle after the second repair, the dashboard immediately displayed both the "service braking system" warning and the check engine light. On July 23, 2024, I left the vehicle at the dealership for a third time. The following day, they informed me that the problem was with the ABS module, which was under engineering review and unavailable. They advised contacting RAM customer care, which confirmed the part's unavailability and anticipated delays due to a lack of vendor supply, with no clear resolution timeline. Despite ongoing efforts, the issue remains unresolved. The vehicle is now unsafe to drive, lacking ABS and traction control due to system shutdowns. Additionally, on September 3, 2024, and a few weeks prior, I experienced problems with the vehicle being stuck in park mode because the brakes would not disengage. Restarting the vehicle temporarily resolved the issue, but it persists.
In my 2021 RAM Ecodiesel, several times while on vacation pulling our trailer up steep grades with semi trucks all around a warning message came on saying “Warning Service Electronic stability Control.” Then, the engine immediately went into what seemed to be a “limp” mode with power severely cut. This posed a safety concern because I had to immediately look for a place to get off the highway because the vehicle was slowing down quickly. I found that when I turned the engine off, it took it out of the “limp” mode. I took it to the RAM dealer in Cortez, Colorado and they said they couldn’t duplicate the problem so just cleared the warning codes. When I got home, I took it to Cole Chrysler in San Luis Obispo and they said they installed software that solved the problem. I did not expect a charge for this, because I thought it should have been like a recall item, but they charged me. I assume the problem is fixed, but won’t find out until my next vacation pulling the trailer in September. Should I have been charged for what appeared to be a factory defect? Thanks,
The defective part is an exhaust manifold, both on the left and right hand side. Yes, it is available for inspection anytime. I have the right side part off of the vehicle for inspection as I have had it replaced. I tried to get the Dodge ram company to replace the left side for free and after exhausting every possibility making several phone calls, they refuse to do anything. I have carbon monoxide fumes entering the cab of the vehicle, and there’s no way to stop it as when you use the defrost or the heater, it brings through fresh air and you cannot eliminate. that situation. Also, the carbon monoxide fumes enter into the atmosphere, polluting the air because it is escaping before going through the catalytic converter . It has been verified by Cooks ram dodge dealer and also Harford tire an independent shop, that the two parts are defective on both left and right hand side. I have this in writing. The independent dealer also said it would be 2 to 4 weeks to get the part in because so many are defective and there is a long waiting list. He also informed me that Ford has the same problem except but a lot worse. Our Maryland state police use the Ford SUVs. The situation is poisoning our police officers and the general public. It is poisoning you also as it goes into the atmosphere. It started out as a minor exhaust leak noise and progressed over time. There was only a fraction of a piece of metal that was not split in half.. The metal split almost all the way down. It is approximately 1/8 inch thick and is held on with 12 bolts. This part typically never breaks in any vehicles lifetime. My guess would be it is not a proper type of metal to withstand the heat, and when it goes from hot to cold that it eventually put stress on the metal and starts to crack it.
When slowing down for a traffic light vehicle salled and e-brake was automatically engaged, Also happened when making a slow right hand turn, Has happened twice so far. Both times tok into dealer and it could not be reproduced. No warning for it happening and all software was up to date,
June 23. 2024 went to drive to Lows engine light came on, after returning home ran code reader and got U11E9 Lost communication with active grill shutter. This is a new vehicle with only 29000 miles this should not be happening. Scheduled for dealership on 6/27/2024.
Truck shuddered and stalled in traffic on the highway. Was able to restart after a minute but it stalled and stopped again repeatedly leaving me vulnerable to a collision. This also occurred last summer on the interstate and the truck was towed to a dealer but they said they could not find anything wrong. Truck is currently at the dealer.
2nd report Had Timing cover replaced for a second time. Only has 17500 miles. It has started to leak again after 35 miles and has to go in for repair again. total of around 50 days in shop for just this issue. It seems to be a VERY common Problem and Ram needs to be held accountable for this
Computer concern - caused the battery to be completely drained during the night, after a jumpstart the vehicle has multiple system errors. stability control, ABS , and both front and rear collision error. states need servicing. Unknown what caused battery drain and errors. Battery was checked no issues. Others have posted same issues with their 2021 Ram 1500 with e torque.
Driving down the road at 45 mph. The vehicle turned off and died. Could not start it after coasted to stop. E toque 5.7 1500 ram. At dealer now. It will take a week for them to look at it.
I have tried at three dealerships to get this recall repaired over the last two years. Everyone tells me they cannot get the parts including a replacement fuel pump. Each dealer has stated that it needs to be replaced. I drive this vehicle everyday at apparently my own risk. The state of Ohio sent a letter requiring repair of this safety recall. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. With an open safety recall I am unable to trade or sell the vehicle.
We purchased a new 2021 Dodge Ram in November of 2021 from Desert 215 Superstore in Las Vegas, NV. Nine months later the truck stalled while driving. The dealership kept the truck while they repaired the fuel pump. They had our truck for seven months while they attempted to repair it. The dealership couldn't figure out how to repair the underlying cause of the faulty fuel pump--therefore they replaced the powertrain, transmission, and engine. Approximately, one year later on [XXX], 2024, the truck stalled while crossing a busy intersection--my husband had our two young sons in the car which could have resulted in a serious accident but thankfully did not. We received a recall notice again last night about the fuel pump along with two other notices. Therefore it was not repaired correctly the first time. I looked up the vehicle information online and there are several class action lawsuits due to the aforementioned as this imposes a serious safety and hazardous risk to our family along with other drivers that can potentially result in injury or death. The entire vehicle needs to be recalled for a manufacturer defect under the premise of product liability. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
All fuses were loose from daily driving. I noticed this because I had a 115v cargo outlet on, on my dash that was flickering. My truck doesn't have a cargo outlet. my radio wasn't working either. I went to check fuses and everyone has wiggled loose. This is unsafe do to if someone were to get into an accident the air bags could potentially not go off, or some cars now have electronic steering that could fail at any time. I'm sure there is a lot more that could happen considering cars are getting more and more electronic stuff for them. The problem has not been confirmed with anyone other than myself. I work for an autobody shop so I work with cars daily. No one has inspected this issue other than myself. I have seen many other people having this issue on forums like reddit, Ram truck forums. The fix was to unhook negative cable, Push down all fuses to reseat then hook negative cable back up its been running fine ever sense. Unfortunately I don't have photos of them all being loose because i was just worried about getting it fixed and didn't think about it at the time.
Passenger door panel fell off on the freeway. It was on with adhesive tape and 3 small clips. Bottom clip was still in the door, the other two pulled out when it blew off.
Heater core went out at 60,000 or even earlier. Antifreeze has been coming out of my vents for weeks. I have kids under 3. The part is back ordered at every dealership ive called.
The steering rod from the steering wheel came out of the knuckle under the dash lucky i was going about 30 miles and hour it could have been 2 people killed. i having to pay $1,200 to fix the problem but i think this is something that Dodge needs to help me on cause this could have been a lot worst. I have 68,000 miles on it. i missed a telephone pole by 6 inches.
Rear window is leaking into truck came home from vacation and it rained while vehicle parked outside found both my key fob could not be detected and UCONNECT would not respond to commands thru phone. Vehicle totally inoperable could not start. Had towed to Shivley Motors where it currently sits. Found out that water leak could ruin the rf module and electrical componets behind rear seat to include not limited to airbag, carpet, interior. Car totally inoperable no lights signals all it does is alarm goes off. Went to dealer to lift rear seats and found my black carpet to be white with mold which is health hazard being i have allergies to certain mold so now my car is a health risk to myself and my child whom has a heart condition. Have contacted RAM CARES and got them involved but waiting as the dealer has not specified a date they will look at the vehicle. My vehicle just went over the 36K bumper to bumper with it having at time of tow 36,133 miles. I also started to notice over the winter months (DEC, JAN) moisture on the inside windows in the morning but never had the electrical issue til it rained on it while it sat. So this issue technically begun under my warranty just never took it in since had no issues other than the moisture inside car which i shrugged off.
A recall, software flash for pcm was done on 03/12/2024. 6857 miles i now have 6919 miles. On 2 occasions my truck did not immediately start. Yesterday was the second time of weird starting. After it started i moved it on my lawn and it died. Now it will not start all it does is send the dash lights and electronics crazy. I have checked all items Ram problem solvers asked, all check out. I think this recall messed up the system. I am waiting for service advisor that was involved with recall to get back with me.
I was driving down the road at/near the speed limit. The ignition cut off. In order to 'restart' the engine, the truck must be stopped and placed into park. I coasted to the side of the road and restarted and continued driving. The same thing happened a second time. I repeated the process and continued driving. After the third time, the truck would not restart and was stalled on the roadway at a stop light, unable to move. It was towed to a dealer. The ultimate cause was determined to be a water leak at the rear window and the third brake light. The module that controls the key fob/ignition is located directly beneath the rear window (behind the back seat). Water damaged the module and caused the erratic ignition system behavior.
The contact owns a 2021 Ram 1500.
