Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)Check engine light has gone on intermittently. Have had it checked with no reason for the code. No sign that it was the engine harness. Contacted dealership and they explained they couldn't look at it for 3 weeks. Brought it to another mechanic and replaced computer. a week later it damaged that computer. I called dealership and they again advised there wad no way to have it towed in for at least 3 weeks. Only 1 diesel mechanic present. Had diagnostics run again and was diagnosed as engine wiring harness. Engine wire harness has damaged 5 computers. While driving vehicle, it suddenly cuts off, with warning lights on, power steering will not work. There is no warning to this happening. It has happened several times on the road, but would restart while still rolling. Now, there are no replacement wiring harness available to purchase. This is only a 2007.
when driving at 55 mph truck will just die. if I am at a stop sign truck will die. Anytime it dies you can not restart the truck for at least one hour. The last time it die I was in the left lane of Shaw Ave going east to a doctors appt. It die I am handicap so I just can't push it out of the way. luckily the Clovis Fire was a couple of cars back and push me and the truck to a safe place. The TIPM was DIAG at Clovis Dodge the problem. This is the third time since 02/20 then in 11/20 now 6/15/21 . It die 6/13/21 where we almost got hit waiting for the tow truck. Haz lights do not work when this happens. Some one is going to get hurt. TIPM maybe under warranty but a warranty is not going to keep someone SAFE.
