Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)WE OWN A 2015 RAM PROMASTERS. WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. TECH EXPERIENCED A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER. ON THE DASH APPEARED A YELLOW CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND A RED SYMBOL ( ! ). A MESSAGE READ "SERVICE REQUIRED - TRANSMISSION SERVICE". AS THE TECH ATTEMPTED TO EXIT THE FREEWAY, AFRAID THAT THE VAN MIGHT STALL WITH INCOMING TRAFFIC. HE MADE A SAFE EXIT OFF THE FREEWAY. PULLED OVER, TURNED OFF IGNITION AND WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR IN HOPES THAT THE TROUBLE WOULD CLEAR. THE RED SYMBOL ( ! ) DISAPPEARED AND POWER WAS RESTORED. WAS ABLE TO DRIVE BACK TO COMPANY
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 RAM PROMASTER. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE SPEEDOMETER FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED IT AS A DESIGN FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,300. UPDATED 1/12/16 *CN THE CONSUMER STATED HE NOTICED AFTER HE PICKED THE VEHICLE UP FROM THE DEALER UNDER CERTAIN LIGHTING CONDITIONS HE COULD NOT SEE THE SPEEDOMETER CLEARLY. IT WAS BLURRY AND THE DETAILS WERE IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE OUT WITHOUT TAKING HIS EYES OFF THE ROAD . THE SPEEDOMETER ILLUMINATION WAS ONLY ADJUSTABLE WITH THE LIGHTS ON AND EVEN WHEN FULLY ILLUMINATED IT WAS STILL BLURRY. UPDATED 02/09/16*JB
