TAKATA RECALL WHILE BOLT ASSEMBLY BROKE OFF AT FRAME HOLDING GAS TANK UP. THERE ARE THREE METAL 'STRAPS' HOLDING GAS TANK IN PLACE AND THE BACK ONE BROKE OFF FROM FRAME BOLT AND ALL STILL INTACT. I WAS IN MOTION DRIVING ON A BUSY STREET WHEN IT BROKE OFF. I WASN'T TURNING OR ANYTHING AND THE SPEED LIMIT IS 40 MPH.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE CHAMPION CHEVROLET DEALER AT 5000 E GRAND RIVER AVE IN HOWELL, MI, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 197,000.

I HAVE BEEN NOTICING THAT MY DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE FLOORS ARE GETTING SOAKED WITH WATER. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR ABOUT A MONTH. THE MAIN PROBLEM WAS THAT MY IT WAS JUST ABOVE FREEZING AND I HAD ICE BUILT UP ON THE INSIDE OF MY WINDSHIELD AND HAD TO WAIT TO GET IT TO DEFROST AND THEN DRY THE WINDSHIELD BEFORE I COULD DRIVE THE VEHICLE. AT FIRST I THOUGHT THE SUNROOF WAS LEFT CRACKED SO I TOOK THE FLOORMATS OUT AND DURING THE DAY, LEFT THE SUNROOF AND WINDOWS OPEN TO DRY OUT THE CAR. THIS DID NOT WORK OR SOLVE THE PROBLEM. I TOOK MY CAR TO A CAR WASH TODAY (11/9/14) AND WHEN I WAS LEAVING THE LOT, I WAS ON A SLIGHT DOWNWARD SLOPE TO STOP BEFORE ENTERING THE STREET. I NOTICED THAT WATER WAS COMING THROUGH THE DRIVER SIDE A PILLAR WHERE THE AIRBAG LOGO IS AT. ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, WATER WAS RUNNING DOWN THE INSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD ON THE DASH, GETTING THE PASSENGER WET. VERY FRUSTRATED THAT THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THE SUNROOF LEAK AS GENERAL MOTORS KNOWS OF THE PROBLEM BUT WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM AS IT IS DUE TO THE SUNROOF DRAINS/DRAINAGE TUBES. *TR
WATER LEAK IN SUNROOF, HAVE HAD IT SERVICED TWICE ALREADY AND DEALERSHIP CANNOT SEEM TO FIND PROBLEM, WATER COMING THROUGH AIRBAGS, SIDE PANELS IN FRONT SEATS, PUDDLE OF WATER IN PASSENGER AND DRIVER FLOOR, MOLD ALREADY BUILT UNDER CARPET DUE TO WATER. *TR
THIS VEHICLE HAS A PROBLEM WITH LEAKING WATER WHEN IT RAINS! WATER WILL LEAK FROM THE SUNROOF AND POOL IN THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT FOOT WELL. IT WILL FILL THE GLOVE BOX AND THE FOOT WELL. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE PROBLEM EVERY YEAR SINCE IT HAS BEEN OWNED BY US. WE RECENTLY WERE OUT OF TOWN AND HAD TO LET THE VEHICLE SIT OUTSIDE WHILE WE WERE AWAY. WHEN WE ARRIVED BACK FROM OUR TRIP THE VEHICLE WAS FILLED WITH WATER IN THE FOOTWELL OF THE PASSENGER SIDE. ALL OF THE WINDOWS WERE STEAMED UP, AND THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE WAS AROUND 95 DEGREES, SINCE THEN IT HAS CONTINUED TO RAIN AND I HAVE HAD TO SHOP VAC OUT THE STANDING WATER. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THE MOLD THAT HAS BEGUN TO GROW IN THE CAR. THE GLOVE BOX HAS FILLED WITH WATER AND RUINED EVERYTHING IN IT. THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE WARNING LIGHTS THAT HAVE COME ON SINCE SUCH AS "CHECK AIRBAGS" WHICH I HAVE PERSONALLY SEEN WATER LEAK FROM. THIS IS NO LONGER A SAFE VEHICLE FOR ME, MY WIFE , OR MY THREE YOUNG CHILDREN. I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO REACH ANYONE OTHER THAN THE DEALER TO EXPRESS MY CONCERN. I LOVE THE VEHICLE BUT MY FAMILY'S HEALTH IS PRIORITY. *TR
DURING A RAIN, WATER STARTED POURING OUT OF THE AIRBAG AND SEATBELT COVERS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. WATER WAS LEAKING OUT OF HEADLINER BETWEEN WINDSHIELD AND DOOR. IT IS DRIPPING ALL THE WAY DOWN THE SIDE NEAR THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT ONTO THE FLOOR. I AM CONCERNED THAT OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS SAME ISSUE WITH NO RESOLUTION. I AM AFRAID THAT IT WILL DAMAGE THE ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS AND MAKE THE AIRBAGS AND SEATBELTS FAIL. PLEASE HELP GET THIS RECALLED!!!!!! *TR

I PURCHASED MY CAR FROM CARMAX AND NOT EVEN A MONTH AFTER, IT RAINED REALLY HARD ONE NIGHT AND THE INSIDE OF MY CAR ON THE DRIVER SIDE WAS LEAKING. I TOOK IT BACK AND THEY CALLED THEMSELVES FIXING AND I ENDED HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN. LONG STORY SHORT I RECENTLY HAD THE PROBLEM AGAIN BUT THIS TIME THE LEAK IS ALL OVER THE CAR ON THE ROOF AND THIS TIME CARMAX TOLD ME TO TAKE IT GM AND THEY SAID THAT IT WAS JUST A CLOGGED. I'M HAVING TO MANY PROBLEMS WITH THE SAME THING AND NOBODY IS TAKING BLAME FOR IT. EITHER THEY FIX IT FOR GOOD OR I WANT A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE. *TR
