THE AIR BAG LIGHT COMES AND GOES . THEN WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY THE CAR JUST UP AND DIED. HAD TO RESTART IT. I HAVE ALSO HAD IT NOT PICK UP SPEED WHEN I PUSH THE PEDDLE . AFTER RAMS DROP THEN I CAN PICK UP SPEED THIS IS SOMETHING I HAVE HAD GOING ON FOR A WHILE. NO ONE CAN FIND OUT WHY. *TR
I WENT OUTSIDE ON A COLD MORNING AND ATTEMPTED TO CRANK MY 2007 SATURN VUE. THE ENGINE WOULD NOT START. I HAD IT TOWED INTO A SHOP AND WAS TOLD THAT THE TIMING CHAIN SNAPPED WHICH CAUSED ENGINE FAILURE. I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER SHOP FOR A SECOND OPINION AND THEY SAID THE SAME THING AND THAT IT WOULD COST OVER $5,000 TO REPAIR IT. I'VE DONE RESEARCH SINCE THEN AND APPARENTLY GM HAS HAD THIS ISSUE WITH SATURN VUES BEFORE. TIMING CHAINS ARE NOT DESIGNED TO WEAR OUT, PARTICULARLY NOT AT UNDER 100K MILES. MY VEHICLE WAS WELL MAINTAINED. I HAD NO PRIOR INDICATION THAT ANYTHING WAS WRONG, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR ANYTHING. IT I HAD BEEN DRIVING WHEN IT SNAPPED IT COULD HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS OR FATAL. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND GM SHOULD TAKE MEASURES TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. THERE HAVE BEEN RECALLS ISSUED ON SATURN VUES WITH SIMILAR ISSUES IN THE PAST, BUT CLEARLY THE RECALLS NEED TO BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE THE 2007 MODEL YEAR AND ANY OTHER YEARS AFFECTED. THANK YOU. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND WOULD SPORADICALLY ILLUMINATE WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE PASSENGER'S SEAT MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 112,500.
MY PASSENGER SEAT AIR BAG LIGHT STARTED TO COME ON PERIODICALLY, WHETHER SOMEONE WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT OR NOT. AT TIMES IT WOULD GO OFF, BUT FOR THE PAST 30 DAYS IT STAYS ON WHETHER SOMEONE IS IN THE SEAT OR NOT. ABOUT THE SAME TIME, WE DETECTED A "SHORT" IN THE RADIO SYSTEM, AS AT TIMES YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE STATION, AND I HAVE ACTUALLY HAD THE STATION CHANGE WITHOUT TOUCHING ANY SELECTOR. I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS HAS TO DO WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH ISSUE THAT HAS BEEN DETECTED IN OTHER MODELS OF SATURNS, IN PARTICULAR. *JS
YOU CAN TAKE THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION WHILE VEHICLE IS IN THE RUN POSITION. IT'S VERY EASY TO REMOVE THE KEY WHILE IN THIS POSITION. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AND THE KEY SEIZED IN THE IGNITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS PREVIOUSLY REPLACED BY A LOCAL DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 14V171000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 111,000.
I HAVE TO TURN THE WHEEL BACK AND FORTH SEVERAL TIMES AND STEP ON THE GAS A LITTLE TO UNLOCK THE WHEEL AND START THE CAR. IT'S BEEN DOING THIS REGULARLY SINCE WINTER. I DON'T HAVE ANY BIG KEY RINGS, ETC., SO THAT SHOULDN'T BE WHY IT'S DOING THAT. ALSO, THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHEN NO ONE IS SITTING THERE. IN ADDITION, A FEW TIMES MY CAR HAS STALLED OUT IN TRAFFIC. THERE IS SOMETHING GOING ON WITH THIS MODEL YEAR SATURN VUE ESPECIALLY SINCE I'VE READ MANY COMPLAINTS OF AN IDENTICAL NATURE. PLEASE RECALL THIS YEAR AS WELL AND GET THESE PROBLEMS FIXED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT STATED THE IGNITION KEY GOT STUCK IN THE IGNITION. THIS FAILURE HAD OCCURRED FIVE TIME OVER A PERIOD OF TWO MONTHS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO STATED THE TBS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.
THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. THE DEALER ADVISED THE PASSENGER AIR BAG WAS BAD AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THIS COST 1,000 DOLLARS. *TR
FIRST NOTICED MY KEY WOULD NOT FIT INTO IGNITION AND AFTER MANY TRIES THE ALARM STARTED BEEPING AND I WAS THEN ABLE TO INSERT THE KEY. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE. THE BIGGEST WORRY HAS BEEN THAT ON ONE OCCASION I HAD TURNED OFF THE ENGINE, TOOK THE KEY OUT, STEPPED OUT OF THE VEHICLE READY TO WALK AWAY AND REALIZED THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING. THE DASH BOARD LIGHTS PERIODICALLY DON'T COME ON AND THE RADIO, ALTHOUGH I CAN HEAR IT, DOES NOT DISPLAY THE INFORMATION. *TT
THE EPS SYSTEM ON THE SATURN VUE IS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE - PLEASE FIX THE EPS IS A PAIN TO DRIVE, IT SOMETIMES LAGS IN ITS ASSIST, AND THEN OTHER TIMES OVER CORRECTS. MY DAUGHTER HAS A DIFFICULT TIME WITH IT AND I AM CONCERNED WITH SAFETY. THE CAR JUST SEEMS TO WONDER SOMETIMES AS I DRIVE IT. I WISH GM WOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ISSUE. I HAVE DONE RESEARCH AND THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE GM EPS SYSTEM. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS MANEUVERED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE DID NOT RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DID DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, HOWEVER COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE ENGINE LIGHT CONTINUOUSLY ILLUMINATED IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHO REPLACED THE FUEL EMISSION CAP BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. MY DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG LIGHT GOES ON PERIODICALLY. RANDOM AT FIRST, NOW ALMOST EVERY TIME I'M IN THE CAR. *TR
IGNITION KEY SLIPS OUT OF IGNITION IN ALL POSITIONS. DATE AND MILEAGE OF START ARE APPROXIMATE. ADDITIONALLY, IGNITION HAS SUBSEQUENTLY BECOME DIFFICULT TO TURN WITH KEY, MAKING THE VEHICLE DIFFICULT TO START. *TR
DRIVING ALONG AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS HAD TO AVOID HITTING A VEHICLE AFTER BEING CUT OFF. THIS RESULTED IN USING GREATER THAN USUAL BRAKE FORCEAT THAT MOMENT, HEARD POP NOISE WHICH CAME FROM REAR OF VEHICLE THEN VEHICLE VEERED TO RIGHT AT THE SAME INSTANT STEERING WHEEL STARTED TO MOVE CLOCKWISE AND COUNTER CLOCKWISE RAPIDLY. HAD TO BRING VEHICLE UNDER 35 MPH TO GET STEERING UNDER CONTROL (ALMOST LOST CONTROL INTO CEMENT BARRIER) WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE BACK TO SPEED LIMIT VEHICLE VIBRATED VIOLENTLY FOR ALMOST 2 MILES UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO GET OFF HIGHWAY. WHEN BRAKING ON OFF RAMP VEHICLE VEERED TO RIGHT ! LATER THAT DAY HAD VEHICLE CHECKED AND TECH FOUND REAR SUBFRAME BOLT HAD LOST ITS HEAD (LITERALLY) APPEARED TO BE BADLY RUSTED BELOW DEPTH OF SUBFRAME.. BOLT WAS REPLACED AND ALIGNMENT CHECKED,TWO DAYS LATER LEFT FRONT WHEEL LOCKS WHEN COMING TO STOP OR WHEN BRAKES ARE PUMPED 2-3 APPLICATIONS. HAD FRONT PADS AND ROTORS REPLACED BRAKES FLUSHED.,REAR BRAKES CHECKED AND SERVICED. NO INDICATION OF STICKING CALIPERS OR FLEX HOSE ISSUES. . VEHICLE HAS ALSO EXPERIENCED UN EXPLAINED WIDE OPEN THROTTLE WHEN ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS DEPRESSED MORE THAN 50 PERCENT. NEARLY REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE WHEN WOT OCCURRED. THESE ISSUES ALONG WITH IGNITION SWITCH PROBLEM HAVE DRAINED MY POCKETBOOK. NEVER HAVE I ENCOUNTERED THIS MANY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUES WITH ANY OF MY PREVIOUS VEHICLES WHICH I OWNED. . *TR
THE IGNITION SWITCH ON THE VEHICLE IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN IN THE "ON" POSITION, AT TIMES. *TR
THIS CAR HAS GIVEN ME NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS THE LAST YEAR OR SO WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH.. I CAN'T TURN MY CAR ON FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES. THE KEY WILL GO IN TO THE IGNITION BUT IT WONT TURN THE CAR AND THERE HAS BEEN TIMES THAT IT'S GOTTEN STUCK WHERE YOU CAN'T TAKE IT OUT. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO A FEW PLACES NOW BUT THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE IT. SO THAT IS WHAT I DID AND AGAIN STILL GETTING STUCK. I HAVE TO GET A KEY CUT EACH YEAR BECAUSE THEY KEY LOOKS LIKE ITS ABOUT 70 YEARS OLD AFTER ONLY 6 MONTHS. THERE HAS ALSO BEEN TIMES I HAVE BEEN GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE KEY IS HARDLY IN THE IGNITION. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS. *DT
I WAS DRIVING IN MY SUBDIVISION AND THE CURTAIN AIR BAGS WENT OFF IN MY 2007 SATURN VUE HYBRID. I SWERVED AND RAN INTO A TREE CAUSING MASSIVE FRONTAL DAMAGE AND THE DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG TO DEPLOY. MY 3-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER WAS IN THE BACK PASSENGER CHILD CAR SEAT AND WAS OK BUT I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CHEST, KNEE, HIP, AND NOSE CONTUSIONS, STILL HEALING AFTER 4+ DAYS. THE CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS PER ALLSTATE. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CAUSED THE CURTAIN AIR BAGS TO GO OFF BUT SEE ON CARCOMPLAINTS.COM THERE ARE MANY AIRBAG ISSUES. VERY MAD AND DEMAND ATTENTION FROM GM SINCE SATURN IS DEFUNCT. *TR
I PURCHASED A 2007 SATURN VUE HYBRID AND I ALSO PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM BOULEVARD CADILLAC IN LONG BEACH, CA. IN NOVEMBER OR DEC. OF 2013 THE BATTERY IN MY VUE DIED AND I PURCHASED A NEW ONE FROM BUMIN CHEVROLET IN CULVER CITY, CA. AT THAT TIME THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY CAR AND SINCE I HAD AN EXTENDED WARRANTY, I SHOULD TAKE THE CAR BACK TO BOULEVARD CADILLAC. I TOOK THE CAR THERE IN DEC. OF 2013 AND THEY TOLD ME THE AIRBAG AND SEAT BELT SENSORS HAD GONE OUT, THEY WERE NOT COVERED BY MY PORTFOLIO ELITE EXTENDED WARRANTY INS. POLICY NO. ? BOULEVARD CADILLAC DID NOT RETURN BUT POLICY BUT I CAN PROVE THAT I PURCHASED A POLICY. BOULEVARD CADILLAC TOLD ME THE AIRBAG AND SEAT BELT SENSORS WERE NOT COVERED AND IT WILL COST $1600.00 TO REPAIR. I DID NOT HAVE THE MONEY DUE TO FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS AND A CHILD INC COLLEGE. NOW THE SUNROOF IS FLOODING AND I DO NOT HAVE MY EXTENDED WARRANTY POLICY TO SEE IF THE SUNROOF IS COVERED. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER GM PRODUCT=VEHICLE!!! *TR
KEY CAN BE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION WHEN THE IGNITION IS NOT IN THE OFF POSITION AND WHILE DRIVING THE CAR. WHEN I WAS DRIVING THE KEY FELL FROM THE IGNITION AND THE CAR WAS STILL RUNNING...I WAS ABLE TO PUT THE KEY BACK IN THE IGNITION. SHORTLY AFTER A COMPLETE DEALER SERVICE I NOTICED THAT THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASH. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT A SENSOR WAS BAD ON THE PASSENGER SEAT. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THERE WAS POSSIBILITY THAT THE AIRBAG MIGHT NOT DEPLOY DUE TO THE LIGHT BEING ILLUMINATED. I TOLD THE DEALER THAT THIS SHOULD BE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY THEY DECLINED AND TOLD ME THAT "THINGS SOMETIMES WEAR OUT" I CONTACTED GM REGIONAL THEY DECLINED TO FIX THIS UNDER WARRANTY. SO I RELUCTANTLY PAID FOR THE REPAIR TOTALING $968.52. I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS WRONG AND A FAILURE OF A CRITICAL SAFETY ISSUE. *JS
MY TRUCK ONLY HAD 60,000 MILES ON IT. WHILE DRIVING HOME I BEGAN TO NOTICED SOME SMOKE COMING FROM THE HOOD OF THE TRUCK. BEING ONLY A BLOCK AWAY FROM THE HOUSE I PROCEEDED TO THE STOP SIGN. I WAS GOING TO PARK AND CHECK IT OUT THINKING THAT IT WAS SOMETHING MINOR. JUST AS I WAS ABOUT TO TURN THE CORNER THE UNTHINKABLE HAPPENED. WHILE AT THE STOP SIGN THE SMOKE QUICKLY IGNITED INTO FLAMES UNDER THE HOOD OF THE TRUCK. I QUICKLY PULLED OVER IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE. TURNED OFF TRUCK, JUMPED OUT AND RAN TO THE SIDE YARD FOR THE HOSE. I YELLED OUT FOR MY WIFE CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. SHE CALLED IMMEDIATELY AND I TRIED TO CONTROL THE FIRE UNTIL THE POLICE AND FIRE TRUCK ARRIVED. I WAS AFRAID THAT IT WOULD EXPLODE AND DAMAGE OTHER CARS AROUND IT. THE FIRE SPREAD UNDER THE HOOD OF THE TRUCK, UNDER THE CAR AND QUICKLY INTO THE INTERIOR THOUGH THE DASHBOARD. THERE WAS NO WARNING OF A PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE. MY WIFE IS PREGNANT AND WE HAD JUST DRIVEN TO HER DOCTORS APPOINTMENT EARLIER THAT DAY IN THE TRUCK AND IT DROVE WELL. THERE WAS NO INDICATOR LIGHT ON TO WARN ME OF ANY PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE, FUEL OR ANY OTHER VEHICLE HAZARDS. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN IN ANY ACCIDENTS AND HAS BEEN MAINTAINED WELL. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY MAIL OR EMAIL NOTIFICATION ABOUT RECALLS THAT DISCLOSED A PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. THE NEXT DAY I RETRACED MY PATH HOME AND SAW A TRAIL OF FLUID IN THE STREET THAT LEAD TO THE SPOT THAT THE CAR FINALLY ENDED UP IN. SO SOME KIND OF LEAK AND ENGINE FAILURE TOOK PLACE THAT CAUSED THIS AWFUL FIRE.I AM JUST SO GLAD THAT I MADE IT OUT ALIVE AND THAT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN TO HER WHILE SHE WAS DRIVING BECAUSE SHE USUALLY DRIVES THIS VEHICLE. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT RECOURSE I HAVE NOW TO DEAL WITH THIS MATTER. *TR

THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE POWER STEERING AND THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,000.
WHEN I WAS DRIVING I ACCIDENTALLY PULLED MY KEY FROM THE IGNITION BUT THE CAR WAS STILL RUNNING AND I WAS STILL DRIVING...I WAS ABLE TO PUT THE KEY BACK IN THE IGNITION. WHEN I FINALLY CAME TO A STOP AND PUT THE CAR IN PARK...I WANTED TO MAKE SURE THIS WAS A ONE OFF SO I TRIED TO PULL THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION WHILE THE CAR WAS RUNNING AND IT CAME RIGHT OUT. *TR
MY 2007 SATURN VUE HAS GIVEN ME PROBLEMS WITH THE KEY, IGNITION, STEERING WHEEL AND AIR BAG LIGHT. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS TIMES WHERE THE KEY HAS GOTTEN STUCK IN THE IGNITION SWITCH AND WON'T TURN OR COME OUT OF THE IGNITION, LEAVING ME STRANDED IN AND OUT OF TOWN. THERE HAVE ALSO BEEN MANY TIMES THAT AFTER ENTERING THE KEY IN THE IGNITION, THE KEY WILL NOT TURN TO START THE CAR. WHEN I TAKE THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION, THE WARNING SIGNAL GOES OFF AND I HAVE TO PUT THE TIP OF THE KEY IN THE IGNITION JUST ENOUGH TO TRIGGER A PART OF THE SWITCH TO CLICK INTO PROPER PLACE. THESE THINGS ARE NOT NORMAL AND ARE DEFINITELY DEFECTIVE. THE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL JUST COME AN AT ANY GIVEN TIME. IT WORRIES ME THAT THEY WILL NOT DEPLOY WHEN I NEED IT OR THEY DEPLOY AS I'M DRIVING-A SERIOUS HAZARD. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY EVERY OTHER SATURN HAS BEEN RECALLED FOR DEFECTS OTHER THAN THE VUE FOR THESE VERY SAME ITEMS. DO THEY NOT ALL REQUIRE THE SAME PARTS OF WHICH WE SPEAK OF? THERE ARE ENOUGH VALID COMPLAINTS HERE AND TO COME TO RESPONSIBLY TAKE CARE OF THE MATTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. *TR
BOUGHT 2007 SATURN VUE 2.2L 4-CYL WITH 62,500 MILES. NOTICED RAW GAS SMELL MOST STRONG NEAR THE RIGHT REAR TAIL LIGHT LENS. TWICE MECHANICS HAVE CHECKED FOR FUEL LEAKS WITH NO RESULTS AND NO REAL DIAGNOSIS. THERE ARE NO MALFUNCTION CODES OR WARNING LAMPS ILLUMINATED. WORRIED ABOUT A FIRE HAZARD. *TR
DETECTED STRONG ODOR OF GAS AROUND REAR OF CAR. TWO DIFFERENT MECHANICS HAD THE CAR ON A LIFT AND COULD NOT DISCOVER SOURCE OF GASOLINE SMELL. TWO OR THREE THOUSAND MILES LATER, WE TOOK THE CAR TO A THIRD MECHANIC AND, USING AN INSPECTION CAMERA, HE IMMEDIATELY FOUND THAT THE PRIMARY FUEL PUMP HAD A CRACKED FUEL FITTING. THE MECHANIC ADVISED HOW DANGEROUS THIS LEAK COULD BE AS IT WAS DIRECTLY OVER THE EXHAUST. MY VEHICLE BEGAN TO SMELL LIKE GAS AFTER DRIVING. THE SMELL JUST BEGAN TO GET WORSE. UNBEARABLE AT TIMES. I FINALLY TOOK IT IN TO THE MECHANIC AND TELLS ME THAT THE GAS TANK IS LEAKING FROM THE TOP AND IT'S TOO MAJOR OF A JOB TO TAKE ON. SUGGESTED I TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. FIRESTONE IS WORRIED MY VEHICLE COULD CATCH ON FIRE. I HOPE THE DEALER HAS A BETTER INSIGHT ON THIS. MY WIFE HAS BEEN DRIVING THIS CAR. IT'S VERY UPSETTING. *TR

RECENTLY WE HAVE BEEN GETTING THE STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE EMITTING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. I TRACED THE SOURCE TO THE TOP OF THE TANK, THE FUEL PUMP. I HAVE LEARNED THROUGH ON LINE RESEARCH THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM ON SEVERAL 2007 GM MODELS WITH THE SAME FUEL TANK CONFIGURATION. SOME OF THE OTHER MODELS HAVE BEEN RECALLED, BUT THE VUE HAS NOT. *TR
I HAVE BEEN NOTICING A VERY STRONG SMELL OF GASOLINE FROM MY SATURN FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. IT IS MOST NOTABLE ONCE I STOP THE CAR AND GET OUT BUT IT IS ALWAYS THERE WHEN THE CAR IS STOPPED. I TRACED IT TO AN AREA UP HIGH AND TOWARD THE REAR OF THE GAS TANK. YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE STAINING FROM A LEAK ON A PIECE OF THE UNDERCARRIAGE BELOW THAT AREA. I HAVE LEARNED THE TWO SISTER VEHICLES OF THE SATURN VUE IN 2007, THE PONTIAC TORRENT AND THE CHEVROLET EQUINOX, WERE RECALLED IN CALIFORNIA LAST YEAR FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT IT DOESN'T APPEAR THE VUE WAS. RECENTLY I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THE MY GASOLINE MILEAGE HAS DROPPED FROM AROUND 25 MPG TO JUST BARELY OVER 20 MPG WITH NO CHANGE IN DRIVING OR WEATHER.. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY WAS ABLE TO BE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,008.
WHILE PARKED NOTICED A STRONG SMELL OF GASOLINE COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. TOOK VEHICLE TO OUR MECHANIC WHO FOUND THAT THE SECONDARY FUEL PUMP HAD CRACKS ALONG THE TOP PLASTIC CONNECTIONS WHERE THE FUEL LINES ATTACH, AFTER FURTHER EXAMINATION OUR MECHANIC STATED THAT FUEL HAD BEEN SPRAYING FROM THIS DEFECT AND WE WERE LUCKY NOT TO HAVE HAD A FIRE, THE FUEL PUMP CONNECTIONS BEING PLASTIC AND IN SUCH CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE VEHICLE IT IS ABLE TO GET DAMAGED EASILY IF YOU HIT A HARD BUMP IN THE ROAD AND THE TANK COMPRESSES AGAIST THE FRAME. AFTER PAYING $850.00 FOR PARTS AND LABOR TO HAVE THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED I FOUND OUT THAT SIMILAR GM VEHICLES HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THE SAME TYPE OF DEFECT BUT THE SATURN VUE HAS NOT, WILL IT REQUIRE A FIRE OR DEATH BEFORE THE SATURN IS ADDED TO THE RECALL LIST.
I NEEDED TO USE MY CAR TO DO ROUTINE CHORES, THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN. I CALLED THE DEALER THAT I GOT THE CAR FROM AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NEED TO TOW THE CAR IN, PUT IT ON A MACHINE AND REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH AT MY EXPENSE. I REFUSE SINCE I HAD JUST PURCHASED THE CAR IN FEBRUARY OF 2013. I CALLED A LOCK SMITH WHO INFORMED ME THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE WAY THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS PLACED IN THESE CARS. I PAID TO HAVE IT FIXED BY THE LOCK SWITCH. IT GOT STUCK AGAIN THE NEXT DAY AND HE REPLACED IT AGAIN, AT MY EXPENSE. IT IS BEGINNING TO STICK AGAIN, WHERE CAN I GO TO GET THE PROBLEM RESOLVED WITHOUT EXPENSE TO ME. *TR
AIRBAG WARRING LIGHT ON DASH CAME ON AND THEN WENT OFF. OVER A PERIOD OF SEVERAL MONTHS THE LIGHT WOULD COME ON MORE OFTEN. NOW THE LIGHT IS ON ALMOST ALL OF THE TIME. I BELIEVE IF A CRASH OCCURS, THE AIRBAGS WOULD NOT DEPLOY AND INJURY OR DEATH MAY OCCUR. THIS SHOULD BE A SAFETY RECALL. *TR
THE KEY CONTINUALLY GETS STUCK IN THE IGNITION OF MY VUE. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED A COUPLE OF TIMES BECAUSE I COULD NOT TURN THE KEY OR REMOVE IT. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO BOB JEANOTTE BUICK GMC (14949 N. I ALSO HAVE A SECOND VUE THAT THE SAME THING HAS HAPPENED TO AND THE IGNITION WAS CHANGED TWICE BUT STILL HAS A STICKING ISSUE. THEY SAY IT WILL COST ABOUT $900 TO FIX....... THIS WEEK, WE FOUND OUT THAT THE IGNITION CYLINDER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE THE CAR IS NOT REGISTERING THE KEYS, AND IT IS NOT ALLOWING THE CAR TO BE STARTED. IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS NOW ON AND THE ENGINE IS "RUNNING LEAN" I FEEL THAT THE AIR BAG PROBLEM AND THE IGNITION PROBLEM SHOULD BE UNDER RECALLS FOR SURE

PULLED OUT OF A GAS STATION ON MARCH 20, 2013 AND HEARD SOMETHING FALL IN THE FRONT OF THE CAR AND DRAG THE GROUND. PULLED OFF TO SEE WHAT IT WAS AND THERE WAS A BAR HANGING DOWN FROM THE CAR. TESTED THE CAR OUT AND IT WAS DRIVING AND STEERING FINE SO DROVE HOME. TRIED TO GO TO A GM DEALERSHIP (DUBLIN BYERS, DUBLIN, OH). THEIR HOURS SAID THEY WERE OPEN UNTIL 6:00 P.M AND IT WAS 5:45 P.M. BEEPED THE HORN AND THEY DID NOT ANSWER. WAS TAKING THE CAR TO A REPAIR SHOP ON THE 22ND TO GET A WHEEL BEARING REPLACED AND CALLED AND LEFT THEM A MESSAGE TO TELL THEM WHAT HAPPENED. CHECKED MY CAR OUT ON MARCH 21, 2013 AND TOLD ME IT WAS THE STABILIZER BAR (SWAY BAR). I BELIEVE THIS HAS BEEN BROKEN FOR QUITE SOME TIME BUT WHEN I WENT DOWN THE SLIGHT EMBANKMENT AT THE GAS STATION APPARENTLY THAT WAS ALL IT NEEDED TO FALL DOWN. IT IS A VERY CLEAN BREAK AND DID NOT BREAK AT THE BOLTS BUT IN THE MIDDLE. APPARENTLY THIS IS HAPPENING TO A NUMBER OF CARS AS FOLKS HAVE BEEN PUTTING IT ON THE INTERNET. I DID MAKE A COMPLAINT TO GM SATURN ON-LINE AND THEY HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH ME AND WANTED ME TO TAKE THE STABILIZER BAR TO THE DEALERSHIP BUT IT TOOK A WHILE TO GET THROUGH TO THE SERVICE MANAGER. WENT TODAY AND HE NEVER EVEN CAME OUT AND MET ME. HE HAD ONE OF THE SERVICE TEAM MEMBERS JUST TAKE THE INFORMATION DOWN AND THEY MADE A COPY OF MY REPAIR BILL AND TOOK MY PHONE NUMBER AND SAID THEY WILL SUBMIT IT TO GM. I HEARD THAT THEY ARE STILL HAVING ISSUES WITH THE STABILIZER BAR ON THE NEW VEHICLES AS WELL. I BELIEVE THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THESE AND AM HOPING THEY REIMBURSE ME FOR THE PART. I AM INCLINED TO BELIEVE THESE PARTS ARE NOT SOLID METAL THAT THERE COULD BE SOME FILLER IN THEM AND BELIEVE THIS SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO. IN MARCH 2013 I TOOK A RIDE FROM KISSIMMEE TO MIAMI AND WHEN I CAME BACK HOME AND GOT OFF THE TURNPIKE I HEARD A BIG SOUND UNDER MY CAR AND IT STARED TO SLOW DOWN UNTIL IT STOPPED COMPLETELY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET, I HAD IT TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION,THEY FIXED FOR $1,926. I ALSO HAS SOME ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS, ONCE IN A WHILE THE RADIO GOES RANDOMLY CHANGING CHANNELS BY ITSELF AND WHEN I OPEN OR CLOSE THE WINDOWS IT SOUNDS LIKE IT LOOSES ELECTRICITY, AND ALSO A LEAK FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR IS LEAKING A GREEN FLUID, ALSO THE AIRBAG GOES ON SOMETIMES BUT EVENTUALLY TURNS OFF. *TR
INSERTED THE KEY INTO THE IGNITION SWITCH BUT I WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE IGNITION TO START THE VEHICLE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A MECHANIC WHO SAID THAT THE KEY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE KEY WAS REPLACED, I REPLACED THE KEY BUT THE DEFECT RECURRED. IT HAPPENS ON A DAILY BASIS, WHENEVER I GO TO TRY AND START THE CAR. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ON TWO OCCASIONS BUT DID NOT RECTIFY THE ISSUE. FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF IT HAS BECOME MORE AND MORE DIFFICULT TO GET THE KEY TO TURN IN THE IGNITION SWITCH. NOW IT TAKES ABOUT 5 MINUTES OF TRYING TO FINALLY GET IT TURN TO CRANK THE VUE. *TR

NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WERE NOT DIAGNOSED. NO FURTHER DETAILS OF THE CRASH WERE AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.
FOR THE PAST YEAR I HAVE BEEN HAVING A VERY DIFFICULT TIME INSERTING THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND TURNING THE KEY TO TURN ON THE CAR. ONCE I GET THE KEY IN I HAVE TO JIGGLE IT OVER AND OVER UNTIL THE KEY IS ABLE TO TURN. SOMETIMES IT TAKES ME ANYWHERE FROM 5-15 MINUTES. HOWEVER LATELY WHEN THE KEY IS FINALLY IN IT GETS STUCK AND IT DOES NOT ALLOW THE KEY TO BE RELEASED LEAVING ME STRANDED. I ALSO NOTICED THE AIRBAG SENSOR LIGHT TURNS ON AND OFF RANDOMLY WHILE I AM DRIVING THE CAR AND WHILE THERE IS A PASSENGER IN THE CAR. MY BIGGEST CONCERN IS IF THE AIRBAG FAILS TO DEPLOY IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT. ANOTHER CONCERN OF MINE IS THAT SOMETIMES WHEN I AM DRIVING THE CAR IT ACCELERATES ITSELF FOR A MOMENT OR TWO AND IT IS VERY SCARY. I AM CURRENTLY UNABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR BECAUSE I AM SCARED, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE I DRIVE MY 5 AND 1 YEAR OLD EVERYDAY. I AM UNABLE TO GET THE CAR LOOKED AT THIS TIME DUE TO FINANCIAL REASONS. MY SATURN VUE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL HOWEVER I REALLY WISH IT WERE BECAUSE ALL OF THE PROBLEMS I AM EXPERIENCING ARE VERY SIMILAR TO THAT OF THE GM VEHICLES THAT WERE RECALLED.
