DRIVER SIDE FRONT WHEEL BEARING HAS BEEN REPLACED EVERY YEAR. THE PROBLEM STARTED IN 2015. THEY WILL NOT EVEN LAST FULL YEAR. NOW AS OF CURRENT 5/27/2020 TODAY HAD TO REPLACE THE DRIVER SIDE WHEEL BEARING AGAIN. THIS RIDICULOUS. HAS COST LOTS OF MONEY. MAYBE SOMEBODY SHOULD LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE. STARTS MAKING A GRINDING NOISE AT 35MPH AND CONTINUES TO GET LOUDER LONGER YOU DRIVE IT. BUT IT DOES NOT OCCUR WHEN YOU ARE STOPPED. *TR
FLAT TIRE. VEHICLE CAME WITH TOYOTA ALUMINUM OR NON-STEEL RIMS. SUPPLIED, LUG NUT WRENCH DOES NOT FIT LUG NUTS. COULD NOT INSTALL SPARE TIRE. THIS COULD BE A PROBLEM IN A BLOWOUT OR IF THE NAIL CAME OUT OF THE TIRE, ESPECIALLY IN NO CELL PHONE AREAS(NO BARS). GOT A 22MM SOCKET BUT IT IS LOOSE, 21MM DOES NOT FIT.
GOODYEAR INTEGRITY TIRES HAVE LITTLE OR NO TRACTION IN WET CONDITIONS CAUSING A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL
MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING FROM HOUSTON TO AUSTIN ON US 290. JUST WEST OF PAIGE, TX. SHE EXPERIENCED SOME VIBRATION THAT SHE ATTRIBUTED TO CONSTRUCTION BUT BEFORE SHE COULD SLOW DOWN SHE EXPERIENCED A SUDDEN BLOWOUT OF THE FRONT LEFT TIRE WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH. THE TEMPERATURE WAS IN THE LOW 70'S AND THE ROAD WAS DRY. TIRES WERE LAST PRESSURE CHECKED TWO WEEKS AGO AND ALL FILLED TO 30 PSI AS THEY HAD DEFLATED TO 25 TO 27 PSI SINCE THE LAST CHECK. EXTENSIVE DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE FENDER AND WHEEL WELL LINER AND ADDITIONAL DAMAGE WAS DONE TO TH FRONT BUMPER, AND HOOD. THE SIDE AIR DAM WAS COMPLETELY TORN OFF. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA COROLLA MATRIX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, A KNOCKING SOUND EMITTED FROM THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIS. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE PADS AND TIRES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE DEALER FAILED TO FURTHER SERVICE THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE WAS 59,632.

I DRIVE A 2007 TOYOTA COROLLA AND PURCHASED MY TIRES FROM AMERICA'S TIRE (DISCOUNT TIRE) IN 2009. STRANGELY, THERE ARE THREE DIFFERENT DOT NUMBERS FOR THESE FOUR TIRES (TWO OF THE FOUR HAVE THE SAME NUMBER). THE NUMBERS ARE AS FOLLOWS: CC9N 81P4509, 81P3109, AND 81P2809. THESE YOKOHAMA AVID TOURING TIRES ARE DEVELOPING DISCOLORATION AND CONCENTRIC CRACKING AROUND THE OUTER AND INNER SIDE WALLS. THE CRACKING APPEARS TO BE SIMILAR TO DRY ROT. THIS SEEMS TO HAVE OCCURRED AT 45,000 MILES OF WEAR. THESE TIRES ARE RATED TO LAST 65,000 MILES. THIS PREMATURE FAILURE IS BOTH DISAPPOINTING AND DANGEROUS. THE CRACKS ARE DEEP AND I FEAR TREAD SEPARATION OR BLOWOUT. I WILL BE GETTING THESE TIRES REPLACED TO AVOID ANY POSSIBLE INJURIES OR ACCIDENTS. I HAVE ROTATED MY TIRES FREQUENTLY AND THE TREAD HAS OTHERWISE WORN EVENLY WITH ONLY MINIMAL TREAD WEAR. THIS FAILURE IS NOT A RESULT OF ANY MISTREATMENT, NEGLECT OR BAD DRIVING HABITS. *TR
2007 TOYOTA COROLLA STEEL RIM ISSUES. I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS TWICE WITH THE STEEL RIMS ON MY CAR AND AM AFRAID THERE WILL BE MORE AS MY CAR AGES. THE RIMS RUST. I TURNED A CORNER TOO SHARP AND BARELY GRAZED THE CONCRETE, WHICH BENT THE WHEEL RIM AND CAUSED MY TIRE TO BLOW OUT, AND I HAD TO REPLACE THAT TIRE. NOW, I HIT A POTHOLE, AND ENTIRE WHEEL RIM BUCKLED, TORE MY TIRE TO BITS, AND IT WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND A REPLACEMENT RIM FOR MY CAR. I COULD NOT LOCATE ONE ONLINE, COULD NOT GET A RETURN PHONE CALL FROM SAM SWOPE'S TOYOTA DEALERSHIP TO TRY TO SEE IF THE PART COULD BE ORDERED, BUT I WAS ABLE TO GET ANOTHER DEALER TO SELL ME ONE AT A WHOPPING $141 INCLUDING TAX. I WAS DRIVING ON CITY STREETS WHEN I HIT THAT POTHOLE AND WAS GOING AT A SLOW SPEED. HAD THIS HAPPENED ON THE EXPRESSWAY, I'D BE DEAD. NOW THAT I LOOK AT ALL OF THE RIMS ON MY CAR, EVERY RIM IS BENT SOMEWHERE ALONG THE EDGES. THE METAL ON THESE RIMS IS OF THE POOREST QUALITY I HAVE EVER SEEN. I'D EXPECT STEEL TO HOLD UP BETTER THAN THIS, AND THIS IS A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM WHEN STEEL RIMS BUCKLE, DESTROY YOUR TIRE AND YOU CAN LOOSE CONTROL OF YOUR CAR. I AM ALSO AFRAID THAT THIS ISN'T' THE LAST OF MY PROBLEMS WITH THESE RIMS. I BELIEVE THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN, AND IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANOTHER RIM FOR MY PARTICULAR CAR. I AM BEING TOLD BY EVERY JUNKYARD THAT MY CAR IS TOO NEW FOR THEM TO HAVE PARTS FOR IT. THE RIMS ARE ALSO UNAFFORDABLE IF YOU CAN FIND THEM. NOT ONLY DID I HAVE TO BUY THE RIM AT A COST OF $141, BUT I HAD TO PURCHASE ANOTHER TIRE AND PAY FOR MOUNTING AND BALANCING. SO, THE COST IS NOW OVER $200 TO FIX MY JUST HITTING A SMALL POTHOLE, AND LOUISVILLE, KY, IS LOADED WITH POTHOLES EVERYWHERE. NO DAMAGE TO STEEL RIM, FULL WHEEL COVER REMAINED IN PLACE. 6/3/10 BLOWOUT TIRE/RIM TAKEN TO SEARS BAYBROOK. SEARS REPRESENTATIVES NOT INTERESTED IN CAUSE OR RESOLUTION OF PROBLEM. 6/4/10 TIRE/RIM TAKEN TO LOCAL DISCOUNT TIRE, PERSONNEL IMMEDIATELY FOUND CAUSE OF BLOWOUT (RAPID PRESSURE LOSS FROM STEM FAILURE, CRACKS AT BASE). RECOMMENDED CHECK OTHER STEMS. 2 OTHERS REMAINING ON CAR WERE ALSO INSTALLED BY SEARS BAYBROOK DECEMBER 2008. 6/5/10 AFTER PRESENTING PROOF OF CAUSE AND ARGUING WITH SEARS BAYBROOK, THEY AGREED TO REPLACE TIRE WITH MINIMAL CHARGE. 6/5/10 I TOOK REPLACEMENT TIRE TO INSTALL ON MY DAUGHTERS COROLLA AT SCHOOL IN COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS. ASKED SEARS COLLEGE STATION TO CHECK OTHER TWO SEARS INSTALLED STEMS FOR DEGRADATION CITING RECALL INFORMATION GIVEN BY DISCOUNT TIRE. SEARS PERSONNEL SAID MY INFORMATION WAS INCORRECT ON STEM RECALL AND REFUSED TO INSPECT MY SEARS INSTALLED STEMS. I EXPLAINED HISTORY TO NO AVAIL. SO I LEFT MY VAN IN COLLEGE STATION FOR MY DAUGHTER TO USE AND RETURNED WITH THE COROLLA TO CONFRONT SEARS BAYBROOK PERSONNEL ABOUT THE STEMS. 6/10/10 TOOK THE COROLLA TO SEARS BAYBROOK TO EXCHANGE A TIRE FOR CORRECT TREAD AND INSPECT THE TWO 12/08 INSTALLED SEARS STEMS. FOUND ONE CRACKED AND READY TO FAIL. PRIOR TO STEM REPLACEMENT, I ASKED THAT THE STEMS BE SAVED FOR ME AFTER REMOVAL. THE STEMS WERE SUBSEQUENTLY LOST DESPITE THE SALESMAN AND I COMBING THRU THE GARBAGE CANS. I SAW A SEARS PRINTOUT OF THE STEM RECALL/FAILURE INFORMATION WITH PICTURES OF A STEM IDENTICAL IN DESIGN AND CRACKING TO THE ONE ON THE BLOW OUT TIRE AS WELL AS JUST REMOVED FROM THE COROLLA. THIS PROVED THAT SEARS KNEW ABOUT THE STEM PROBLEM BUT FAILED TO CONTACT ME OR HELP WHEN I ASKED. 6/12/10 RESEARCHED VALVE STEMS, LEARNED OF CHINA RECALL. *TR
MY BRAKES MOMENTARILY FAIL AT TIMES WHEN I PASS OVER UNEVEN SURFACES ON THE ROAD. IT OCCURS A FEW TIMES EVERY WEEK (I COMMUTE ABOUT 20 MILES EVERYDAY). I LIVE IN CHICAGO, AND THIS BRAKE FAILURE OCCURS IN NICE WEATHER AS WELL AS DURING SNOWY OR RAINY CONDITIONS. I HAVE HAD MY TIRES CHECKED, AND THEY ARE NOT THE PROBLEM. I HAD FOUR 2 YEAR OLD GOODYEAR INTEGRITY TIRES ON MY TOYOTA COROLLA 09. THEY HAVE NEVER HAD WHAT HAS FELT LIKE PROPER TREAD/TRACTION IN RAIN LET ALONE SNOW. I ENDED UP HYDROPLAINING AND HIT A TREE, AND NOW MY CARIS A POTENTIAL TOTAL. THEY HAVE ONLY NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR WHEN MY CRA HAD A 15K MILE CHECKUP, BUT THEY HAVE NOT HELD IN THE RAIN BEFORE AND I HAVE FISHTAILED WHILE GOING STRAIGHT ON ALL SORTS OF WET PAVEMENT, AND EVEN DIDN'T FEEL LIKE THEY HELD SO WELL ON DRY ROADS. NOW I HAVE A RUINED CAR FROM A RAINY DAY WHILE DRIVING FORWARD, TRYING TO STEER AWAY FROM EXCESS WATER FORMING, BUT I WAS FAR FROM IN FULL WATER, ONLY THE TWO RIGHT SIDE TIRES, WHEN I TRIED TO MOVE I IMMEDIATELY BEGAN TO HYDROPLANE AND CRASHED. I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE SCARED AND HORRIFIED. I WANT TO KNOW IF THESE TIRES WHICH CAME WITH MY CRA WHICH WAS BOUGHT NEW, HAVE HAD A PREVIOUS HISTORY OF PROBLEM AS I'VE NEVER SEEN THEM ON OTHER MODELS OF TOYOTAS OF THE SAME YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL, AN 07 CE COROLLA. ON 5/30/07 I LEASED A 2007 TOYOTA COROLLA, IT CAME EQUIPPED WITH GOODYEAR INTEGRITY TIRES P185/65R15 . ON 7/21/07 I WENT TO THE DEALER & TOLD THEM I WAS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE AIR RETENTION IN THE TIRES. IT HAD BECOME NECESSARY WITH THIS CAR & THESE GOODYEAR INTEGRITY TIRES TO CHECK THE TIRES WEEKLY & ADD AIR AT THAT SAME TIME. I ALSO STRONGLY FELT THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM EITHER WITH THE TIRES OR THE VALVE STEMS & ASKED THAT THEY CHECK THEM. THEY CHECKED THE TIRES & INFORMED ME THAT EVERYTHING WAS FINE, MILEAGE AT THAT TIME WAS 503 MILES.
