WELL HAVE SPENT MY 2ND DAY ON THE PHONE WITH TOYOTA ABOUT MY TRUCK. I HAVE TALKED TO MECHANIC AND HEAD OF SERVICE AT LOCAL DEALER, [XXX] AND [XXX] FROM ERNIE PALMER TOYOTA, [XXX], [XXX] AND [XXX] FROM TOYOTA CORP HQ, [XXX] CASE MANAGER CALLED ME TODAY. NEEDLESS TO SAY THE RECALLED SPRINGS ON MY TRUCK HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED EVEN THOUGH THEIR RECALL LETTER PLAINLY STATES THAT IF YOUR VEHICLE IS CLUNKING AND BANGING FROM THE REAR END GET TO A DEALER IMMEDIATELY FOR REPAIR BECAUSE THEY COULD PUNCTURE MY FUEL TANK CAUSING FIRE. IF THEY FAIL DRIVING IT COULD CAUSE ALOT MORE THAN A FIRE. THE ORIGINAL MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT IT WAS DEFINITELY ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECALL BUT THEY DID NOT HAVE PARTS TO REPAIR AND I WOULD BE NOTIFIED AS SOON AS THEY CAME IN. I HAVE NEVER BEEN CALLED FOR THE REPAIRS AND IT MONTHS LATER. I HAVE SPENT THE PAST TWO DAYS ON THE PHONE WITH THEM TRYING TO GET THIS SITUATION RESOLVED AND WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO RETURN TO THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN BECAUSE THEY NOTED IN THE COMPUTER THAT I WAS IN FOR NOISE IN THE REAR END AND DID NOT SPECIFICALLY STATE THAT IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE RECALL. NOW I ASK WHY WOULD THEY LEAVE ME IN A OPEN REPAIR ORDER AND TELL ME IT WAS DUE TO THE REAR LEAF SPRING RECALL IF I JUST CAME IN FOR NOISE. THE SERVICE DEPT TOLD ME TODAY ON THE PHONE WITH CORP THAT THEY JUST LUBE THE SPRINGS IF THEY MAKE NOISE. MY HUSBAND SAID THAT IS FOR SQUEAKING NOT FOR BANGING AND CLUNKING AND HE AGREED. I AM STILL AGGRAVATED THAT THE REPAIRS HAVE NOT BEEN MADE AND I STILL HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE DEALER AND LET THEM INSPECT IT AGAIN EVEN THOUGH IT IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. THIS MAKES NO SENSE. I WILL BE TOLD AGAIN THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE REMEDY PARTS AND WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THEY GET THE PARTS IN FOR REPAIR. I TOLD THEM I DO NOT CARE IF THEY PUT IN ANOTHER SET OF RECALLED SPRINGS IN MY TRUCK THAT WERE NEW JUST TO GET ME THRU UNTIL THEY HAVE THE REPLACE PARTS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY EXPERIENCED UNINTENDED ACCELERATION CAUSING THE DRIVER TO LOOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND MAKE CONTACT WITH A GUARD RAIL BEFORE CRASHING INTO A BRICK WALL. DURING THE INCIDENT, THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END BUT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUFFERED AN INJURY TO THE LEFT EYE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT RUST FROM THE FRAME CORRODED THE NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,000.
STEERING ISSUE. WHEN I TURN THE STEERING WHEEL I EXPERIENCE STIFFNESS ON/OFF ON THE TURN. I NOTICED THE U JOINT WAS RUSTED OUT. I SPRAYED IT WITH SILICONE, WORKED FINE FOR A WHILE, NOW THE STIFFNESS IS BACK. I BELIEVE TOYOTA NEEDS TO RECALL THIS U JOINT REPLACEMENT. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE
I HAVE A 2006 TACOMA THAT I BOUGHT USED AND IT HAD THE LIMITED SERVICE CAMPAIGN E0D (UNDER COATING) APPLIED OVER THE RUSTING FRAME AND WAS TOLD THAT TOYOTA WILL NOT REPLACE THE FRAME EVEN WHEN IT ROTS THROUGH. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AND TOYOTA SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE FOR THIS AND FORCED TO REPLACE THE FRAME. *TR

GOT RECALL NOTICE IN DECEMBER OF 2014 FOR DEFECTIVE REAR LEAF SPRINGS. ALSO GOT NOTICE IN DECEMBER OF 2014 OF SERVICE CAMPAIGN TO FIX CORROSION ON FRAME OF VEHICLE. CALLED DEALER WAS TOLD TO COME IN FOR INSPECTION. DEALER DETERMINED THAT MY FRAME WAS IN VERY BAD CONDITION CORROSION AND RUST AND THAT I WOULD NEED TO HAVE THE FRAME REPLACED. SAID THEY WOULD FIX AND REPLACE THE REAR LEAF SRINGS AT THE SAME TIME THEY REPLACE FRAME THIS INSPECTION TOOK PLACE ON WED JANUARY 14TH 2015.MY TRUCK HAS VERY LOW MILEAGE ITS A 2006 AND I HAVE ONLY 60,000 MILES ON IT. AFTER WAITING MONTHS TO HEAR FROM DEALER I CALLED TOYOTA, THEY TOLD ME IN APRIL THAT THEY WER STILL WAITING FOR PARTS. I FILED A CASE NUMBER WITH TOYOTA, CALLED THEM BACK ON JUNE 15TH 2015 AFTER HEARING NOTHING FROM THEM. NOW ON JUNE 15TH 2015 THEY TELL ME THEY ARE STILL WAITING FOR PARTS. MEANWHILE THE SAFETY RECALL SAYS THAT THE REAR LEAF SPRING COULD SNAP AND RUPTURE MY GAS TANK. I NEED HELP WITH THIS
ORIGINAL RECALL 09V388000 FOR SPEED CONTROL WAS REMEDIED BY MODIFICATION TO THE GAS PEDAL AND REPLACEMENT OR REPURCHASE OF THE FLOOR MATS. ON MY TRUCK, I ACCEPTED THEIR FIXES. SINCE THEN, THE REPLACEMENT FLOOR MAT HAS TORN AND IS ONCE AGAIN LOOSE AND A RISK TO BEING STUCK IN MY GAS PEDAL. OF NOTE IS THAT THE REPLACEMENT FLOOR MATS WERE MUCH LOWER QUALITY (CHEAP FIX) THAN THE ORIGINAL FLOOR MATS AND HAD I KNOWN THIS I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE ASKED FOR THE REPURCHASE OPTION. EITHER WAY, THE EXISTING FLOOR MATS ARE SUB-STANDARD AND POSE AS RISK WHICH SHOULD REQUIRE REPLACEMENT WITH A MAT THE QUALITY OF THE ORIGINAL MATS OR BETTER. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 TOYOTA TACOMA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH OVER A SPEED BUMP, THE REAR END OF THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SLIGHTLY COLLAPSE TOWARDS THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO INFORMED THAT THE LEAF SPRING FRACTURED. THE MECHANIC INSTALLED TWO TEMPORARY LEAF SPRINGS UNTIL THE VEHICLE COULD BE SERVICED UNDER THE RECALL. THE TEMPORARY REMEDY WAS ONLY PERFORMED WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V604000 (SUSPENSION); HOWEVER, THE PART NEEDED TO PERFORM THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 101,547.
SEVERAL WEEKS AGO MY POWER STEERING STARTED TO ACT ERRATICALLY. IT FELT LIKE I HAD NO HELP WITH THE STEERING. I HAD TO STRUGGLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. THEN A FEW MOMENTS LATER IT WOULD FEEL BETTER BUT THE RETURN MOTION IN THE POWER STEERING WOULD STILL BE SLUGGISH. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE SAID TO CHECK THE FLUID LEVEL AND ADD FLUID IF NECESSARY. I TOPPED OFF THE POWER STEERING FLUID. THAT HELPED A LITTLE, BUT THE SLUGGISHNESS IN THE POWER STEERING CONTINUED TO BE ERRATIC. MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR 1/7/2015 WITH THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP. UPON ARRIVING AT THE DEALERSHIP, ONE OF THE SERVICE WRITERS EXPLAINED THAT THE UNIVERSAL JOINT IN THE POWER STEERING COLUMN HAD GOTTEN DIRTY OVER THE YEARS AND WAS NOW SLOWLY BREAKING DOWN. HE SAID IT WAS VERY EXPENSIVE TO FIX AND TO JUST CONTINUE DRIVING UNTIL IT GRADUALLY IS CONSISTENTLY VERY SLUGGISH. GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY A 65 MPH AND HAVING THE POWER STEERING FREEZE UP ON YOU AS YOU ARE MAKING A TURN IS VERY DANGEROUS FOR ME, MY FAMILY AND OTHER MOTORIST. HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE BEFORE TOYOTA HAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM? *TR

FRAME IS RUSTING OUT EXCESSIVELY.THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM ON THESE VEHICLES, BUT TOYOTA SAYS SINCE I DON'T LIVE IN WHAT THEY CONSIDER A COLD STATE, I GUESS THEY'VE NEVER SPENT A WINTER IN NEBRASKA THEY WON'T COVER IT. I FEEL THIS COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IF MY FRAME SAGS OR GIVES OUT. I FEEL THEY SHOULD EXPAND THIS RECALL TO INCLUDE MORE STATES. *JS
RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE 12/2/14 ABOUT REAR SPRINGS. AS OF 6/24/15 NO REMEDY FOR THIS PROBLEM. THIS TRUCK IS NOT BEING USED DUE TO THIS RECALL.WE DO NOT WANT ANY EMPLOYEE GETTING HEART BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM. WE NEED TO GET THIS TRUCK BACK IN SERVICE ASAP. WE HAVE THIS TRUCK REGISTERED AND CAN'T USE IT.
I WAS COMMUTING TO MY HOME MID-AFTERNOON ON INTERSTATE HWY 94 WHEN THE TRAFFIC AHEAD OF ME BEGAN TO SLOW. AS I APPROACHED THE SLOWING TRAFFIC AHEAD OF ME I REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATION PEDAL AND BEGAN TO COAST TO A STOP WHEN UNEXPECTEDLY MY TRUCK BEGAN TO ACCELERATE VERY QUICKLY. I IMMEDIATELY BEGAN TO APPLY THE BRAKES USING BOTH FEET, MY HANDS GRIPPING THE TOP HALF OF THE STEERING WHEEL WITH MY SHOULDERS THRUST AGAINST THE BACK OF MY SEAT. I STAYED ON THE BRAKES THE ENTIRE TIME THAT IT TOOK FOR ME TO HAVE TRAVELED THE 50-60 FEET BEFORE I HIT THE VEHICLE THAT HAD NOW COME TO A STOP. IT WAS ONLY AFTER I COLLIDED WITH THE VEHICLE AHEAD OF ME THAT MY TRUCK STOPPED ACCELERATING. FOR THAT ENTIRE TIME I WAS ON THE BRAKES, THE TIRES SCREECHING SO LOUDLY THAT THE PERSON IN THE VEHICLE THAT I HIT HEARD THEM PRIOR TO THE IMPACT. THIS INCIDENT HAS SHAKEN ME PERSONALLY AND I NO LONGER HAVE ANY CONFIDENCE IN MY TRUCK SO I NO LONGER DRIVE IT. I HAVE CONTACTED TOYOTA AND THEY HAVE ISSUED TO ME A CASE NUMBER FOR THIS INCIDENT AND HAVE SENT TO ME A CONSENT FORM TO ALLOW THEM TO DOWNLOAD DATA FROM THE VEHICLE'S EVENT DATA RECORDER AS WELL AS TO PHYSICALLY INSPECT THE VEHICLE. I DID INITIALLY SCHEDULE A DIAGNOSTIC APPOINTMENT WITH MY LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE NEW BUT THEY WOULD NOT PERFORM ANY DIAGNOSTIC WORK AS A RESULT OF THE VEHICLE HAVING BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. THEY GAVE ME THE TELEPHONE NUMBER FOR TOYOTA CORPORATE TO CALL. THE VEHICLE THAT I HIT SUSTAINED $1,100.00 WORTH OF DAMAGE. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS IN THIS MATTER CONCERNING MY VEHICLE AND THE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE THAT I HIT. *TR

I PURCHASED A FRAM PH7317 FILTER & 5W-30 CASTROL OIL ON 5/9/14 FROM AUTOZONE TO DO AN OIL CHANGE FOR MY '06 TOYOTA TACOMA REGULAR CAB PRERUNNER. MY TRUCK WAS FINE UNTIL 6 MONTHS & 3K MILES LATER, ON 11/7/14, WHEN I EXPERIENCED A FAILURE SUCH THAT THE FILTER CAME OFF MY TRUCK GOING 30MPH & OIL SPEWED ONTO THE ROAD.I PULLED OVER ABOUT 200 YARDS AFTER THE FILTER CAME OFF JUST AS THE OIL CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I FOUND THE OIL FILTER ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.THE GASKET WAS ATTACHED IN FINE CONDITION, & NEITHER FACE NOR BODY LOOKED DEFORMED. THE FILTER HAD MINOR SCRATCHES.MY FATHER CAME WITH TOOLS & OIL.THE CAR'S MALE THREADS WERE GOOD. ASSUMING I ERRED & FORGOT TO FULLY TIGHTEN THE FILTER, IT LOOSENED OVER TIME, & ITS CONDITION, I CLEANED THEN THREADED THE SAME FILTER ON & SNUGGED IT DOWN WITH A WRENCH. I FILLED THE ENGINE WITH OIL.MY FATHER WAS WATCHING THE FILTER AREA UNDER THE CAR FOR DRIPPING OIL WHILE I FILLED, BUT THERE WAS NONE. I IDLED THE CAR WHILE MY FATHER & I CHECKED FOR DRIPPING OIL BUT THERE WAS NONE.AT THIS POINT, IT SEEMED REASONABLE THAT THE FILTER WOULD NOT COME OFF & OIL WOULD NOT LEAK. AS A PRECAUTION, MY FATHER DROVE BEHIND ME.I STARTED THE CAR & MADE A U-TURN IN THE ROAD. AT SOME POINT IN THE TURN, THE FILTER CAME OFF SO I IMMEDIATELY TURNED OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE OIL FILTER WAS CRUMPLED. I HAVE SINCE INSTALLED A BOSCH FILTER WITH CASTROL OIL & THE TRUCK DRIVES FINE.THE FILTER WAS NOT DOUBLE GASKETED.EVEN IF IT WERE, THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN OIL LEAKING WHEN I IDLED THE TRUCK.IT WAS NOT FOULED OIL, BECAUSE THE OIL WAS REPLACED.IT WAS NOT AN IMPROPERLY TIGHTENED FILTER, BECAUSE THE OIL FILTER FAILED CATASTROPHICALLY ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER DRIVING OFF & THERE WAS NO OIL DRIPPING DURING REPLACEMENT OR IDLE. *TR
REPLACED REAR LEAF SPRING AS IT WAS BROKEN AND STICKING OUT SIDE OF RETAINER. I PAID FOR THIS. RECEIVED A TOYOTA RECALL OF DEFECTIVE REAR SPRING NOTICE ON AUGUST 2014. HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANOTHER NOTICE FOR SPRING REPLACEMENT. ANOTHER SPRING PROBLEM WITH RETAINER CLIP BROKEN IN 2015. DURAND TOYOTA SAID THEY COULD NOT REPLACE SPRINGS UNTIL I RECEIVED SECOND NOTICE BUT WOULD HAVE TO WELD SPRING IN PLACE UNTI SECOND NOTICE IS RECEIVED. I NOTICED HEAVY CORROSION ON MY TRUCK'S FRAME AND TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL DEALER FOR A CHECK. THEY STATED THAT THERE WAS SERIOUS CORROSION BUT NO PERFORATION AND TOYOTA WOULD ONLY REPLACE THE FRAME IF IT WAS PERFORATED; HOWEVER, TOYOTA HAD EXTENDED THE FRAME WARRANTY TO 15 YEARS AND I SHOULD RETURN ANNUALLY FOR CHECKS. A FEW MONTHS LATER I FOUND A PERFORATION IN THE FRAME DUE TO CORROSION AND RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR VERIFICATION. THEY SENT THE INFORMATION TO TOYOTA ALONG WITH PICTURES BUT WERE TOLD THAT NO SERVICE CAMPAIGN EXISTS FOR MY TRUCK. IN FACT A SERVICE CAMPAIGN DOES EXIST IN MD WHERE I AM FROM AND WHERE THE TRUCK WAS PRIMARILY DRIVEN UNTIL LESS THAN 2 YEARS AGO BUT TOYOTA REFUSES TO REPLACE THEIR DEFECTIVE FRAME SINCE MY REGISTRATION IS NOT CURRENTLY IN MD. THIS FRAME CORROSION IS INAPPROPRIATE AND HAS RENDERED MY TRUCK VALUELESS AND UNSAFE TO DRIVE. *TR

THIS IS A KNOWN FRAME RUSTING PROBLEM THAT TOYOTA HAS NOT ADDRESSED PROPERLY. I TOOK MY 2006 TOYOTA TACOMA TO THE SERVICE DEALER AND THEY SPRAYED AN ANTI RUST COMPOUND ON IT. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE FRAME IS TOTALLY RUSTED OUT AND IS GOING TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE LATER DOWN THE ROAD. TOYOTA REACHED A SETTLEMENT WITH THE FRAME MANUFACTURER, THEY DID NOT PROPERLY COAT THE FRAME AT TIME OF MANUFACTURE. THERE IS NOT A WARRANTY ON THE CORROSION COMPOUND AFTER THE CORROSION CAMPAIGN IS OVER IN MARCH OF 2016. THIS LEAVES THE CONSUMER WITH A TRUCK THAT IS NOT ROAD WORTHY. I REPLACED THE RELEASE BEARING IN MY TRANSMISSION, WHILE WORKING ON IT RUST WAS LITERALLY FALLING IN MY EYES DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF RUST ON THE FRAME. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A FRAME RUST OUT SO QUICKLY AND AM VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT TOYOTA KNOWS THERE IS AN ISSUE BUT IS COVERING IT UP WITH A THICK TAR LIKE SUBSTANCE TO "REMEDY" THE PROBLEM. THIS IS JUST COVERING UP A DOWN THE ROAD SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY TOYOTA IMMEDIATELY BY REPLACING THE FRAME. 1995 THROUGH 2000 TACOMA TRUCKS WERE BOUGHT BACK. 2001 THROUGH 2004 RECEIVED ANTI CORROSION COMPOUND AND OR FRAME REPLACEMENT. THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT THOSE TRUCKS THAT RECEIVED THE COMPOUND RECEIVED A 15 YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY IF THE FRAME WERE TO FAIL INSPECTION DOWN THE ROAD. NOT THE CASE WITH THE 2005 AND UP TACOMAS. *TR
WE HAD STARTED HEARING A CLUNK AND BANG IN THE REAR END OF MY VEHICLE BACK IN SEPT 2014. WE TRIED TO LOCATE THE PROBLEM THINKING MAYBE IT WAS SOMETHING UNDER THE SEATS IN THE STORAGE COMPARTMENTS. WE COULD NOT ELEVATE THE PROBLEM. WE THEN RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ABOUT REAR LEAF SPRINGS AND CALLED THE DEALER WHERE WE BOUGHT THE VEHICLE. THEY TOLD US TO COME IN IMMEDIATELY. WE WENT IN AND THEY READ MY RECALL AND INSPECTED THE TRUCK. THE MECHANIC TOLD HIS BOSS THAT SOMEONE HAD COME IN THE WEEK BEFORE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND THEY COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHAT IT WAS AND TOLD HIS BOSS TO EXPECT THEM BACK WITH THEIR TRUCK AND NOTICE SOON. WE WERE THEN TOLD THAT MY NOTICE WAS AN INTERIM NOTICE AND THEY WOULD PLACE A WORK ORDER FOR MY TRUCK AND LET ME KNOW WHEN THE PARTS CAME IN. I EXPRESSED MY CONCERNS AS THE LETTER STATES THAT THEY COULD BREAK AND PUNCTURE BRAKE LINES OR THE FUEL TANK. I EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT THIS WAS MY ONLY TRANSPORTATION AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD RECEIVE THE PARTS SOON. THAT WAS BACK IN OCTOBER. THEY HAVE YET TO RECEIVE THE PARTS AND NOW IT IS BANGING AND CLUNKING ON BOTH SIDES CONSTANTLY. I CALLED TODAY 2/15/2015 AND THEY TOLD ME THEY STILL DON'T HAVE THE PARTS. I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD CALL WHEN THEY CAME IN. I TOLD THEM IF I WAS STILL ALIVE. HE TOLD ME HE DIDN'T THINK IT WAS THAT DRASTIC. I SAID WELL THE LETTER STATES IT COULD BREAK AND PUNCTURE THE FUEL TANK. IF I AM GOING 70 ON THE INTERSTATE AND IT PUNCTURES THE TANK THAT MORE THAN LIKELY IT WOULD CATCH ON FIRE. HE SAID TO CALL CORP AND GAVE ME A 1 800 NUMBER. WELL NEEDLESS TO SAY MY TRUCK STILL IS NOT FIXED AND THERE IS NO TELLING WHEN THESE PARTS ARE GOING TO COME IN. I DON'T CARE IF THEY HAVE TO PUT NEW RECALLED PARTS IN MY TRUCK AS LONG AS I WOULD BE SAFE UNTIL THEY GOT THE NEW IMPROVED PARTS. THE SEVERE RUST UNDER THE CAR IS WIDESPREAD AND IN CERTAIN AREAS THERE ARE PERFORATIONS THROUGH THE FRAME STRUCTURE. (SEE PICTURES ATTACHED). I TOOK THE CAR TO THE TOYOTA DEALER TO HAVE IT ASSESSED AND AFTER A FULL INSPECTION, THE TRUCK FAILED THE RUST FRAME INSPECTION. THE TOYOTA DEALER REPORT STATES AS FOLLOWS: ?FRAME WAS FOUND TO HAVE SEVERE CORROSION. FRAME NEED TO BE REPLACED? WITH AND ROUGH ESTIMATE COST OF $ 10,000.00. I CONSIDER THIS DEFECT TO BE A SERIOUS AND UNACCEPTABLE CONDITION FOR A 8 YEAR-OLD VEHICLE WITH TOYOTA?S REPUTATION. I HAVE INVESTED AND TRUSTED THE TOYOTA BRAND FOR OVER 20 YEARS AND FEEL VERY DISAPPOINTED AT HOW TOYOTA IS ADDRESSING MY CONCERNS. MINE HOWEVER WAS NOT ONE OF THEM EVEN THOUGH I LIVE IN ONE OF THE SELECT STATES. HOW CAN THAT BE? IF THEY COULD SEE MY TRUCK THEY WOULD ASK THE SAME QUESTION BUT THEY HAVE REFUSED TO LOOK AT IT.
