PROBLEM WITH CRUISE CONTROL NOT DISENGAGING PROPERLY WHEN TAPPING THE BRAKE. THE BRAKE MUST BE PRESSED TO THE POINT OF ACTUAL BRAKING FOR THE CRUISE CONTROL TO DISENGAGE. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL TIMES WHEN WHILE TRYING TO DISENGAGE BY PRESSING THE BRAKE THE ENGINE STARTED TO REV UP AS IF I WAS ALSO PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL. THE MOST RELIABLE WAS TO DISENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL IS THE CONTROL ON THE SIDE OF THE STEERING WHEEL (MAIN CRUISE CONTROL ON MY TRUCK). WILL BE TAKING THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER THIS WEEK. *TR
I PURCHASED A 2010 TOYOTA TUNDRA IN AUG. AT NEARLY 3K MILES, BOTH THE FRONT TIRES - BRIDGESTONE DUELER H/T P275 65R18 114T M+S - HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO EXTREME CUPPING. NOW AT CLOSE TO 8500 TOTAL MILES, FRONT TIRES ARE CUPPING AGAIN. DEALER TELLS ME TO "KEEP DRIVING," THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO. I HAVE 4-5 DOCUMENTED CASES OF BRINGING THE VEHICLE IN COMPLAINING ABOUT THE CUPPING SINCE PURCHASED NEW IN AUGUST. I JUST EXAMINED TIRES AGAIN THIS MORNING AND THEY CONTINUE TO WEAR, OUTSIDE EDGES - CUPPING. ALIGNMENT ON VEHICLE HAS BEEN PERFORMED TO SPECS NUMEROUS TIMES. *TR
I HAVE 2010 TOYOTA TUNDRA THAT HAS HAD A SUDDEN ACCELERATION. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY WITH THE CRUISE SET AT AROUND 73MPH. I HAD TO HIT THE BRAKE, WHEN I HIT THE CRUISE TO REINSTATE THE CRUISE THE TRUCK SEAMED LIKE IT WENT FULL TROUBLE. MY FOOT WAS NEVER ON THE GAS AND THE TRUCK ACCELERATED TO OVER 90 BEFORE I CANCELED THE CURSE CONTROL. THIS HAS HAPPENED ONLY ONCE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 TOYOTA TUNDRA. WHILE HAVING THE VEHICLE SERVICED FOR UNRELATED ISSUES, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE SPARE TIRE WAS A DIFFERENT TIRE AND WHEEL SIZE THAN THE STOCK ONES THAT CAME WITH THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ACCORDING TO THE OWNERS MANUAL, THE VEHICLE WOULD BE UNSAFE TO DRIVE WITH A DIFFERENT TIRE OR WHEEL SIZE INSTALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 5,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 10,500.
WE NOTICED THAT SHINE ON THE PAINT FADED RIGHT AWAY AND WE CONTACTED TOYOTA BODY SHOP AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WERE MANY COMPLAINTS AND THAT THERE WAS DEFECTIVE PAINT WORK ON THIS MODEL . THEY CONTACTED TOYOTA HEADQUARTERS AND WE WERE TOLD BY THEM THAT TOYOTA WAS FIXING THEM . HOWEVER TOYOTA REFUSED TO FIX OURS .. PAINT LOOKS TERRIBLE AND THE SHINE IS ALL GONE. *TR
I DROVE THE VEHICLE APROX. 300 MILES TO LAUGHLIN ,I WAS IN TOWN BACKED OUT OF A SPOT PUT IT IN DRIVE THE TRUCK DIED IT RESTARTED AND A LITTLE WHILE LATER I NOTICED A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ,I TOOK TO DEALER AND TOLD IT WAS THE CAM SHAFT SENSOR AND THAT TOYOTA IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND WHEN THEY FIGURE IT OUT THEY WILL CONTACT ME BUT AS A FRIENDLY GESTURE THEY CHANGED MY OIL ,RIGHT ,WELL ITS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR AND NOT A WORD. *TR
ONE WEEK AFTER PURCHASING A 2010 TOYOTA TUNDRA CREW MAX TRUCK, I WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP AT A STOP LIGHT FOR AT LEAST A MINUTE. I WAS THE SECOND CAR IN LINE. SUDDENLY, UNEXPECTEDLY, MY TRUCK LUNGED FORWARD AND HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. DAMAGE WAS MINIMAL TO BOTH CARS BUT THERE WAS NO REASON FOR THE CAR TO MOVE FORWARD. I SUSPECT IT DUE TO THE ELECTRONIC ACCELERATOR PROBLEM ASSOCIATED WITH TOYOTAS. THIS WAS NOT A FLOORMAT ISSUE. I AM NOW FACED WITH A FINE AND LOSS OF MY 40 YEAR SAFE DRIVER STATUS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 TOYOTA TUNDRA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATE 10 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO SLIP WITH HESITATION. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHENEVER DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS INTERMITTENTLY . THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES FOR THE SIMILAR FAILURE. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THE VEHICLE OPERATED NORMALLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 TOYOTA TUNDRA WHICH WAS PURCHASED IN 2009. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, AS LOW AS 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE WOULD ACT AS IF IT WERE IN NEUTRAL AND ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WOULD COME TO A COMPLETE STOP ON ITS ON AND THEN PROCEED TO MOVE FORWARD, THROWING HER VIOLENTLY BACK INTO HER SEAT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE FAILURES COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE DEALER INVESTIGATED FURTHER AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY A SOFTWARE MALFUNCTION AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO TO REPAIR THE FAILURE; THEREFORE, THEY WERE RELEASING THE VEHICLE TO HER. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE VEHICLE TO CORRECT THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE UNDER 5,800.
TOYOTA RECALL. I BOUGHT MY 2010 TOYOTA TUNDRA IN OCT. OF 2009 AND STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION FROM TOYOTA ABOUT THE RECALL. I HAVE LEARNED THROUGH THE WEB MY TOYOTA IS IN FACT RECALLED FOR TWO DIFFERENT PROBLEM BUT HAVE YET TO HEAR ANYTHING OFFICIAL. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THIS PROBLEM HAPPEN 12 TIMES ON THIS VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 400O AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 12000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
