DURING SUMMER TEMPERATURES, 3 OF THE 4 INTERIOR LEATHER DOOR MOLDING BECOME STICKY TO THE TOUCH - WHEN TRYING TO WIPE CLEAN, THE LEATHER SMEARS AND SCRAPES OFF. I REPORTED TO TOYOTA DEALER IN BRANDON; THEY TOOK PICTURES AND SENT TO CORPORATE. WAS TOLD IT IS NOT A RECALL, AND I JUST PAST WARRANTY (WITHIN 6 MONTHS) IT IS NOT COVERED.
ALL 4 EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES STICK OPEN. (OCCASIONALLY) DOOR DOES NOT LATCH WHEN SHUT. DRIVING AWAY AND TURNING CORNER, DOORS FLY'S OPEN. TOYOTA SENT OUT 'WARRANTY ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM DETAILS' LETTER TO HAVE IT REPAIRED, BUT SINCE DEALER CANNOT DUPLICATE IT, THEY DENY CORRECTING THE PROBLEM. I PROVIDED PHOTO PROOF OF HANDLES STUCK OPEN THEY STILL WILL NOT CORRECT PROBLEM! CALLED TOYOTA I HAVE CLAIM # AND WROTE LETTER STILL REFUSE TO CORRECT PROBLEM. STATING THEY CANNOT DO WARRANTY REPAIR UNLESS IT CAN BE DUPLICATED AT THE DEALERSHIP. IT IS MY JOB TO TAKE OFF WORK AND KEEP BRINGING VEHICLE BACK TO DEALER UNTIL THEY CAN DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. THEY DO NOT BELIEVE PHOTOGRAPHIC PROOF. WON'T REIMBURSE ME TIME OFF OF WORK TO KEEP BRINGING VEHICLE BACK TO DEALER. THEY ARE OF NO HELP. 9TH TOYOTA IN A ROW FOR ME. MOVING TO FORD.
PAINT STARTED CHIPPING AFTER 3 MONTHS. THE TRUCK IS STARTING TO RUST NOW AT A 1 AND A HALF OLD. I NOTIFIED THE DEALER ABOUT THE CHIPPING. THEY DID NOTHING.
