DURING ITS REPLACEMENT FOR $880, OUR VW TECHNOLOGY, INC. SERVICEMAN OFFERED THAT ALL CONVERTIBLE BEETLE VOLKSWAGEN HAVE THIS PROBLEM, EVEN TO THE 2010 MODEL . OURS IS A 2002 MODEL. THE LOCAL VOLKSWAGEN DEALER WANTED OVER $1,000 FOR THE SAME REPLACEMENT WORK. WE CONTACTED VOLKSWAGEN'S NATIONAL SERVICE WHO DENIED THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THIS ON ANY OTHER VEHICLE. *TR
2003 NEW VW BEETLE. WAS ROLLING UP THE REAR WINDOW AND IT STOPPED WORKING AND WILL NOT ROLL UP ANY MORE. WINDOW WAS NOT IN A BIND NOTHING WAS IN THE WAY OF IT, AFTER IT BROKE I WENT ON LINE AND SEE THAT THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE. *TR
