Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)TIRE SIZE 235-40-18 - ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT LOW PROFILE WHEEL TIRE SIZE EXHIBITS NUMEROUS BLOW OUTS IN ROAD HAZARDS SUCH AS POT HOLES AND CAUSES EXTREMELY DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. I HAVE BLOWN 6 TIRES IN 2 YEARS COSTING OVER $3000.00 PLUS IN REPAIRS NOT TO MENTION THE DANGEROUS TRAFFIC SAFETY CONDITIONS CREATED BY A BLOWN TIRE AT HIGHWAY SPEED. IT IS A MIRACLE I WAS NOT KILLED . I BELIEVE LOW PROFILE TIRES IN GENERAL ARE DANGEROUS AND SHOULD BE OUTLAWED BELOW (245 PROFILE AT LEAST). I REQUEST THAT THE PROBLEM BE INVESTIGATED AND DATA COLLECTED, ANALYZED AND CORRECTIVE ACTION TAKEN AS - I SEE THIS IS A VERY COMMON SAFETY COMPLAINT. WITH LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF BLOG STORIES OF HARROWING BLOW OUT EVENTS SIMILAR TO MINE ON THE INTERNET. THANK YOU. *TR
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
NHTSA source checks for this vehicle year
Checks are recorded separately for each dataset, not for the whole page. Dates use UTC. A missing check date does not mean no records exist.
Vehicle import recorded: Apr 28, 2026. This is the stored import date, not confirmation that every source was successfully refreshed.
