THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO OURISMAN VOLKSWAGEN OF BETHESDA LOCATED 7001 ARLINGTON ROAD, BETHESDA, MD WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MEGATRONIC UNIT WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, FAILURE RECURRED. TWO WEEKS AFTER THE FAILURE WELLESLY VOLKSWAGEN LOCATED AT 231 LINDEN ST, WELLESLEY, MA WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
