PICKED UP MY CAR FROM AN AUTHORIZED VOLVO REPAIR CENTER FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE AND WAS ADVISED THAT I NEEDED A NEW GEAR BOX. THIS GEAR BOX RUNS AT A COST OF $2,000 WITH ABOUT 4 OR 5 HOURS OF LABOR AT $400. THE CAR HAS ONLY 77,000 MILES ON IT AND I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT IT IS PREMATURE FOR THIS PART TO FAIL. I HAVE SEARCHED THE INTERNET REFERENCES ON THE TOPIC AND FIND IT TO BE SOMEWHAT WIDESPREAD. I WOULD APPRECIATE SOME FEEDBACK ON THE ISSUE AS I PLAN TO ADDRESS VOLVO CORPORATE FOR A RESOLUTION. *TR
