Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)ABOUT EVERY 2-3 MONTH WHEN I GO TO START MY VOLVO S60 THE FRONT LEFT LIGHT BLOWS OUT. I HAVE HAD MY CAR FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AND HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE HEADLAMPS 5 TIMES. THE FIRST TIME I CHANGED THE LIGHTS I DID NOT WEAR GLOVES SO IT COULD HAVE POSSIBLE BEEN MY FAULT. EVERYTIME AFTER I HAVE WORN GLOVES TO CHANGE THE LIGHTS AND STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE RIGHT FRONT HEADLIGHT LAMP WAS INOPERATIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE DRIVER THAT THE HEAD LAMP BLEW OUT AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IT WOULD COST THE CONSUMER $1,200.00 TO GET IT REPLACED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *NM A PEBBLE FROM THE STREET MADE A SMALL HOLE IN THE GLASS IN FRONT OF THE HEADLAMP. MOISTURE INTRUDED INTO THE LAMP CASING. DUE TOTHE HEAT INTENSITY OF THE LAMP, IT SHORT-CIRCUITED. THE DESIGN OF THE HEAD LAMP SYSTEM DOES NOT ALLOW FOR THE SWIPE REPLACEMENT OF THE LAMP. THE HOLE IN THE GLASS CAUSES NEED FOR THE ENTIRE $1200 SYSTEM TO BE REPLACED. *BF
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
