THE NOTICES ARE DATED 29 AUG 2020 AND 9 DEC 2020. I HAVE CALLED THE LOCAL VOLVO DEALER REPEATEDLY TO SCHEDULE FOR COMPLETION OF THIS RECALL. EACH TIME THEY SAY THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS AND APOLOGIZE. IN THE MEANWHILE, THE RISK OF THE SEAT BELT FAILING PERSISTS. MORE THAN SIX MONTHS HAVE PASSED SINCE THE INITIAL NOTICE WHICH I CONSIDER TO BE AN EXCESSIVE PERIOD OF TIME. WHAT CAN BE DONE TO EXPEDITE THE COMPLETION OF THIS RECALL? TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 VOLVO XC60. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V378000 (SEAT BELTS) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. BILL PEARCE VOLVO CARS (11555 S VIRGINIA ST, RENO, NV 89511, (775) 337-9653) WAS CONTACTED AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
