Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)RECEIVED 6 REPLACEMENT FRONT WINDSHIELDS, ALL OF WHICH WERE DISTORTED ADJACENT TO THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER A PILLARS. ACURA ADMITS THAT THERE IS A FLAW IN THE MOLD FOR THIS WINDSHIELD AND HAS DEEMED IT 'ACCEPTABLE'. THEY WILL NOT CERTIFY CALIBRATION OF THEIR SAFETY ELECTRONICS WITH AN AFTERMARKET WINDSHIELD. THIS DISTORTION IS A DISTRACTION AND A SAFETY ISSUE NOT TO MENTION SLIGHTLY NAUSEATING. IT IS NOTICEABLE SPECIFICALLY DURING TURNS.
WHILE DRIVING ON JAN. 7, 2017 IN SNOW MY WINDSHIELD WASHER WAS NOT OPERATING. DUE TO SALE ACCUMULATION THIS WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT MY WASHER FLUID FROZE. THE TEMPERATURE THAT DAY WAS 19 DEGREES. THE WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID IS NOT SUPPOSED TO FREEZE AT THAT TEMPERATURE. THE DEALER REFUSED TO TAKE ANY FURTHER ACTION OTHER THAN ADDING A CONCENTRATE TO THE WASHER FLUID. SINCE THE FLUID WAS ORIGINAL EITHER ACURA USED THE WRONG FLUID OR THERE IS AN EQUIPMENT PROBLEM THAT FREEZES AT 19 DEGREE TEMPERATURE. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND SOME ACTION BY OR AGENCY IS NEEDED.. *TR
