WHEN CAR IS PARKED AND OFF, AND TRYING TO LOCK/UNLOCK DOORS WITH KEY FOB (FROM OUTSIDE) OR FROM POWER LOCKS (ON THE INTERIOR), THE LOCKS DON'T LOCK OR UNLOCK. THIS IS A SAFETY RISK AS IT MAKES IT EASIER FOR CAR BREAK-INS TO OCCUR. PER DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT, THE ACTUATORS HAVE GONE BAD.
AN ANIMAL DESTROYED TWO WIRING HARNESSES UNDER THE HOOD, THAT I COULD SEE. CAR WILL NOT START. APPARENTLY THE INSULATION ON THE WIRES IS SOY BASED AND CRITTERS LIKE TO EAT IT. THE CAR WAS SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY, AND HADN'T BEEN DRIVEN FOR 1 DAY WHEN I DISCOVERED THE PROBLEM.
THE BLUETOOTH MODULE CONTINUOUSLY RUNS EVEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS OFF/NON-OPERATIONAL. IT'S LED TO ME HAVING TO REPLACE THE BATTERY 5X IN THE 8 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP. I DON'T HAVE ANY EXTERNAL ELECTRONIC DEVICES OR CHARGERS PLUGGED IN TO WHERE IT CAN CAUSE THE BATTERY TO DRAIN, NOR DO I LEAVE THE HEADLIGHTS OR CABIN LIGHTS ON. ACURA DEALERSHIPS CLAIM THERE IS NO ISSUE, HOWEVER THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT IT BY ACURA CUSTOMERS ONLINE. *TR
