TAKATA RECALL I HAVE BEEN CONTACTING MY LOCAL AUDI DEALER SEVERAL TIMES SINCE JANUARY 2017 TO FIX THIS ISSUE. HERE IT IS NOVEMBER 2017, TO NO AVAIL THE AIRBAG ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. I'M BEGINNING TO FEEL UNSAFE DRIVING A VEHICLE THAT HAS PROBLEMS WITH THE AIRBAG. MY AIRBAG REPAIR LIGHT STAYS ON CONSTANTLY. WHAT CAN I DO TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.
TAKATA RECALL. HAVE ASKED MY DEALER TO FIX AIRBAG BUT THEY KEEP SAYING THERE IS NOT A REMEDY FOR THIS YET. WOULD LIKE TO GET AIRBAG FIXED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
TAKATA INFLATOR RECALL I HAVE CALLED AUDI OF WESTWOOD - PRIME MOTOR GROUP - IN WESTWOOD MA MANY TIMES OVE THE PAST YEAR TO GET AN APPOINTMENT. THEY SAY THEY WILL CALL BACK WHEN THEY GET THE PART. IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN A YEAR AND STILL NO REPAIR. I AM DRIVING AN UNSAFE CAR AND AUDI OF WESTWOOD DOES NOTHING. I WANT MY AIRBAG REPAIRED.
THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT ABOUT [XXX], MY AUDI DEALER. (MY WIFE HAS AN A6 UNDER RECALL SAME PROBLEM). YOUR WEB SITE SAYS 12 MILLION AIR BAGS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. BUT AUDI TELLS ME THAT THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY INDICATION OF WHEN THEY WILL RECEIVE REPLACEMENTS FROM TAKATA AND I FEEL AT RISK DRIVING MY CAR. TAKATA RECALL- RECALL INITIATED IN MAY 2016. IT IS DECEMBER 2016, AND DEALER SAYS NO FIX IS AVAILABLE YET. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. THEY RECOMMENDED THAT NO ONE SIT IN PASSENGER SEAT, THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND PUTS MYSELF AND MY PASSENGERS AT RISK EVERY TIME I DRIVE.
TAKATA RECALL- I NEVER RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION LETTER, WHEN THE RECALL WAS MADE BACK IN MAY 27, 2016. IT HAS BEEN OVER SIX MONTHS, BUT THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE FROM THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR.
WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT RIGHT LOW BEAM WILL FLICKER AND THEN GO OUT. I GET A WARNING ICON REFERENCING "RIGHT DIPPED HEADLIGHT". IF I TURN THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH FROM AUTO POSITION TO OFF POSITION AND THEN TURN BACK TO AUTO, THE LIGHT WILL COME BACK ON. IT WILL THEN STAY ON FOR A WHILE AND TYPICALLY GOES OUT AGAIN AFTER SOME RANDOM TIME PERIOD CAUSING ME TO REPEAT THE PROCESS. I DON'T LIKE DOING THIS TRAVELING AT HIGH SPEEDS AT NIGHT SINCE I HAVE TO DISABLE MY HEADLIGHTS TO GET EVERYTHING WORKING AGAIN. I TOOK IT TO THE AUDI DEALER AND THEY DID THEIR GUIDED FAULT TESTS AND FOUND NO FAULTS. THEY "BELIEVE" THE IGNITER IS FAULTY WHICH IS A $625 PART PLUS LABOR TO REPLACE. I DIDN'T GO AHEAD WITH THEIR SUGGESTION SINCE THEY COULD NOT GUARANTEE THAT IT WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. I'M REPORTING THIS SINCE I BELIEVE A NUMBER OF AUDI OWNERS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND AUDI DOESN'T SEEM TO HAVE A BULLETIN OUT ON THIS TO LOCAL DEALERSHIPS AND PLUS I BELIEVE IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. I PLAN TO CALL AUDI OF AMERICA TO SEE IF THEY HAVE ANY FIX FOR THIS.
TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED THE NOTIFICATION LETTER IN THE MAIL MARKED JULY 2016. IT'S BEEN 3 MONTHS AND NO FURTHER COMMUNICATION REGARDING THE FIX FOR THE AIRBAG HAS BEEN SENT.
AUDI DOES NOT HAVE A SOLUTION FOR THIS RECALL.

TAKADA RECALL I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET AIRBAG RECALLED FOR OVER A YEAR AND I AM TOLD THE 69P6 IS NOT AVAILABLE. I THINK THIS IS HIGH RISK SINCE IT IS OLDER AND ALSO IN AREA OF HIGH HUMIDITY IN THE SUMMER DEALER STATES THEY CAN NOT GET THE PART (AIR BAG ) TO REPLACE IT.
I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM AUDI REGARDING THE RECALL ON MY TAKATA PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFORMING ME OF THE RECALL AND SUGGESTING THAT I AVOID USING MY FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. I AM APPALLED THAT AUDI WOULD MAKE SUCH A STATEMENT KNOWING THAT THEIR CUSTOMERS USE THE VEHICLES AS FAMILY CARS, TYPICALLY HAVING SOMEONE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. AUDI HAS NO FORESEEN DATE OF REPAIR. IN ADDITION, THE GIRL I SPOKE TO ON THE PHONE FROM AUDI SUGGESTED THAT I CALL A LOCAL CERTIFIED AUDI DEALERSHIP TO SEE IF I CAN GET A LOANER CAR UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS RESOLVED AS I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY CAR, IN WHICH I WAS TOLD BY OVER 10 DEALERSHIPS THAT THEY DO NOT GIVE OUT LOANER CARS FOR THIS PURPOSE. I AM SHOCKED THAT I AM NOT BEING OFFERED A SAFE CAR TO DRIVE UNTIL THIS PROBLEM IS RESOLVED.

AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT IS ON. THIS IS MY DAILY DRIVER SO VERY CONCERNED. ALSO THIS VEHICLE USES AN UNUSUALLY HIGH AMOUNT OF OIL. I HAVE TO ADD OIL WEEKLY TO THE CAR. IT HAS BEEN DOING THIS FOR A LONG TIME. I JUST WAS INFORMED THAT I COULD REPORT THIS PROBLEM.
TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED NOTICE (JULY 2016) AND THE RECALL REPAIR IS NOT YET AVAILABLE. AUDI HEADQUARTERS WILL NOT OFFER A COURTESY VEHICLE WHILE THE PARTS OF THE CAR ARE SOURCED AND THE VEHICLE IS REPLACED.

HOWEVER, NOTHING HAS HAPPENED TO THE CAR AND EVERYTHING IS FINE. I AM JUST AFRAID TO HAVE A PASSENGER WITH ME IN THE CAR. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE REPLACEMENT SUCH A LONG TIME.

TAKATA RECALL: I RECEIVED AN RECALL NOTICE DATED 5/27/16 AND HAVE STOPPED DRIVING THE VEHICLE SINCE THEN. AUDI HAS NOT PROVIDED REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS FOR ANY OF ITS RECALLED VEHICLES.
MANUFACTURER HAS FAILED TO REMEDY THE NATIONWIDE AIRBAG ISSUE FOR ALMOST 12 MONTHS OF THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO BE DRIVEN AS THE INTENDED
I WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT NIGHT GOING AT 70 MPH AND SUDDENLY I RECEIVED LEFT DIP LIGHT WARNING AND AFTER 2 MINUTES RECEIVED RIGHT DIP LIGHT WARNING. I QUICKLY HAVE TO RESET THE LIGHT AFTER WHICH BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT LIGHTS CAME UP. AFTER SOME 20-30 MIN IT HAPPENED AGAIN.THERE ERE HIGH CHANCES OF FATAL CRASH AT 70 MPH ON A HIGHWAY AT NIGHT. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO ESCAPE THIS. THIS ISSUE IS INTERMITTENT BUT EXTREMELY DANGEROUS FOR SAFETY OF PASSENGERS.

HI. I HAVE HAD SAME ISSUE ON TWO DIFFERENT 2.0T FSI ENGINES. CARBON BUILD UP ON THE INTAKE VALVES WHICH CAUSED DAMAGE TO ONE OF THE INTAKE VALVES, THUS ENGINE HEAD NEEDING REBUILDING. FIRST CAR WAS 2006 VW GOLF GTI AND NOW I JUST HAD SAME ISSUE WITH 2006 AUDI A4 2.0 T .DEALER QUOTED OVER $5,500, GOT IT FIXED AT LOCAL SHOP FOR $2,700. THIS IS COMMON PROBLEM WITH THEIR ENGINES....
"TAKATA RECALL" IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO HAVE A PASSENGER IN MY WIFE'S 2006 AUDI A4 WAGON DUE TO THIS AIRBAG RECALL. WE CANNOT DRIVE TOGETHER IN THE FRONT AND THIS IS NOW RIDICULOUS AS I CANNOT FATHOM WHY THERE IS NO FIX YET AND NO PARTS. THIS IS TRULY UNACCEPTABLE. I WANT A REPAIR DONE ASAP.
GLANCING SIDE IMPACT HEAD ON COLLISION - VEHICLE ROLLED 270 DEGREES - RIGHT, UPSIDE DOWN, THEN ENDED ON LEFT SIDE. NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. IMPACT SPEED WAS MORE THAN SUFFICIENT TO ROLL VEHICLE, THUS THEY SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. VEHICLE PROCEEDING IN MOTION - PROBABLY 20 MPH AT TIME OF IMPACT ON TWO LANE HIGHWAY (OTHER VEHICLE CROSSED OVER) APPROX 35-40 WHEN FIRST OBSERVED OTHER VEHICLE MOVING ERRATICALLY
HEADLIGHTS WILL FLICKER / TURN OFF INTERMITTENTLY WHEN BRAKING OR TRAVELING OVER SMALL BUMPS RESULTING IN A LOSS OF VISION AT NIGHT. THIS WILL SOMETIMES GIVE THE ERROR "DIPPED HEADLIGHT" AND CAUSE THE HEADLIGHT TO TURN OFF AND REMAIN OFF UNTIL IT IS RESET.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 AUDI A4. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED CONSTANTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
THE LEFT HEADLIGHT FLICKERS AND TURNS OFF. CHANGING THE BULB DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM AND NEITHER DID CHANGING THE BALLAST. I FOUND THAT THERE WAS A SETTLED CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT HOWEVER THEY SAID THAT THE LAWSUIT EXTENDED THE WARRANTY FOR HEADLIGHTS TO 5 YEARS. THE LAWSUIT WAS SETTLED IN 2013 AND MY CAR IS A 2006 MODEL SO I AM NOT SURE HOW IT COULD EVER HELP ME.
HEADLIGHT FAILURE, RIGHT DIPPED HEADLIGHT. INTERMITTENT PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE RELATED TO SLOW SPEED AND OR VIBRATION. MULTIPLE SERVICE VISITS AT AUDI DEALER, PROBLEM NOT RESOLVED.
I HAVE AN AUDI A4 2006 THAT I PURCHACED AS A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED VEHICLE. SHORTLY AFTER IN NOVEMBER 2009 I RECEIVED A RECALL FROM AUDI OF AMERICA "UPCOMING VOLUNTARY EMISSIONS SERVICE ACTION 28F2/JI IGNITION COIL INSPECTION REPLACEMENT"'. AT THE TIME I WASN'T HAVING ANY PROBLEMS BUT TOOK THE CAR TO DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED IT AND HAD THE COILS CHECKED. ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER LEAVING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I WENT STRAIGHT BACK TO HAVE IT CHECKED. THERE WAS NEVER ANYTHING ''WRONG"' SO I COULDN'T TRUST THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THIS SEEMED TO BECOME A ROUTINE WHENEVER I WENT TO THE DEALER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS SURELY TO COME ON. SO MUCH SO THAT I STOPPED GOING TO THAT DEALER FOR SERVICING, ITS NOT UNCOMMON TO HEAR THAT WOMEN THAT GO TO GET THEIR CAR SERVICED GET "SPECIAL'' TREATMENT. I AM ALWAYS SKEPTICAL OF THAT. NOW I HAVE 60,000 MILES ON MY CAR AND AFTER EXPERIENCING SEVERE SHAKING AND THE ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON AND BLINKING ONE OF THE ITEMS THAT AROSE AGAIN WAS THE COILS REPLACED FOR $424.22 A MISFIRE CYL 4 CAUSED BY IGNITION COIL MISFIRE IN CYL 4. APPARENTLY THE RECALL "'IS OVER" THAT WAS THE DETAILED AND THOUGHTFUL EXPLANATION I WAS GIVEN BY THE REPRESENTATIVE FROM NEW COUNTRY AUDI IN GREENWICH, CT. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW A RECALL COULD EVER BE OVER AS IT WILL BE UNSAFE AND COSTLY TO THE CUSTOMER FOR THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE.
THE DRIVER SIDE HEAD LIGHT STOP WORKING
HEADLIGHTS SPONTANEOUSLY GO OUT WHILE DRIVING. SOMETIMES JUST THE LEFT, SOMETIMES JUST THE RIGHT, SOMETIMES BOTH. THE DASH READS "RIGHT HEADLIGHT DIPPED" OR "LEFT HEADLIGHT DIPPED". TO CORRECT THE ERROR ONE MUST TURN HEADLIGHTS COMPLETELY OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN RESULTING IN A FEW SECONDS OF DARKNESS. OBVIOUSLY THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AT NIGHT AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THERE IS NO APPARENT REPAIR FOR THIS PROBLEM AND FROM EXTENSIVE RESEARCH SEEMS TO BE A DESIGN ISSUE. *TR
TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN JULY 2016 AND AM TOLD THE REPAIR IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE. I HAVE NOT DRIVEN THE VEHICLE SINCE THEN WHICH HAS RESULTED IN MUCH DIFFICULTY AND EXPENSE. I HAVE UPLOADED A PHOTO OF A FRIEND WHO WAS IN AN ACCIDENT INVOLVING A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. I REQUEST AUDI GIVE ME A LOANER CAR UNTIL THE AIRBAG IS REPLACED. *TR
THE LEFT HEADLIGHT OF MY 2006 AUDI A4 QUATTRO HAS A HEAD LIGHT PROBLEM AS FOLLOWS: 1. THE LEFT HEADLIGHT FLICKERS 2. IT THEN TURNS ITSELF OFF 3. THE MESSAGE "LEFT DIPPED HEADLIGHT" APPEARS 4. THE MESSAGE IS CHANGED TO A SIGN INDICATING THAT THE LIGHTBULB HAS FAILED. THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS EVERY TIME I NEED TO TURN ON MY HEAD LIGHTS, I TOOK TO DEALER, THEY ARE NOT SURE WHAT PART MIGHT BE BAD, SO THEY RECOMMEND TO REPLACE ALMOST ALL PARTS INVOLVE WITH THAT, AND ITS COSTLY. I CHECKED ON LINE TO FIND A SOLUTION, I FIGURED OUT IT'S NOT ONLY ME, THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF AUDI DRIVERS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM IN HERE AND EVEN IN EUROPE. *TR
WHEN I DRIVE MY CAR WITH THE HEADLIGHTS ON ONE RANDOMLY TURNS OFF AND THEN I GET A DISPLAY IN THE DASH THAT'S SAYS "LEFT HEADLIGHT DIPPED" THIS ALSO HAPPENS TO THE RIGHT SIDE. I HAVE TO TURN THE KNOB KN THE DASHBOARD ON THE OFF POSITION AND TURN THEM BACK ON THE ON POSITION AND THEY START WORKING AGAIN. THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND UNSAFE. PLEASE HELP. ALSO MY ENGINE IS BURNING OIL VERY FAST I JUST HAD AN OIL CHANGE AND DROVE THE CAR FOR 80 MILES AND THE DIP STICK ALREADY SHOWS HALF WAY FULL. I HAD THE HEAD GASKET AND VACUUM PUMP GASKET REPLACED BUT IT STILL HASN'T FIXED THE PROBLEM. *TR
