THE CONTACT CALLED NUMEROUS UNKNOWN AUDI DEALERS AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR PARTS AVAILABILITY FOR OVER A YEAR AND DO NOT APPEAR TO BE MAKING PROGRESS ON THE WAITLIST AT MY DEALERSHIP (PENSKE AUDI). THE DEALERSHIP BLAMES THE MANUFACTURER AND THE MANUFACTURER BLAMES THE DEALERSHIP. IN THE MEANTIME I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THE PART WILL BECOME AVAILABLE TO PERFORM THE WORK.

MY VEHICLE WENT TO THE AUDI FIFE DEALERSHIP. ADVISED I NEEDED A NEW ENGINE. I TRIED TO TRADE IN THE VEHICLE AND I WAS ADVISED THAT MY CAR HAD -0-TRADE IN VALUE. THEY WOULDN'T ACCEPT ON A TRADE-IN. THEY SAID IT WAS WORTHLESS. I TOWED THE VEHICLE HOME AND I NOTICED ON MY PAPERWORK THAT THE DEALERSHIP COMPLETED "3" RECALLS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION OR KNOWLEDGE. I ASKED SERVICE WHY THEY COMPLETED THESE RECALLS ON A WORTHLESS VEHICLE THAT I HAD TO TOW HOME. A VEHICLE THE DEALERSHIP DIDN'T WANT. I FOUND OUT THAT THIS DEALERSHIP IS COLLECTING OVER $14,000 FOR RECALLS THAT I DIDN'T AUTHORIZE ON A VEHICLE THAT THEY SAID WAS WORTHLESS. I CAN'T EVEN VERIFY IF THE DEALERSHIP ACTUALLY DID THE RECALLS. THIS IS AN UNETHICAL PRACTICE FOR THIS DEALERSHIP TO TELL ME MY VEHICLE IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT AN ENGINE; WON'T ACCEPT ON A TRADE; TOWED MY VEHICLE HOME BUT THEY COLLECT $14,000.

IN THE EVENT OF AN INFLATOR RUPTURE, METAL FRAGMENTS COULD PASS THROUGH THE AIRBAG CUSHION MATERIAL, WHICH MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH TO VEHICLE OCCUPANTS. SINCE I AM LEAVING THE USA IN AUGUST 2017 AND I AM PLANNING TO BRING MY CAR TO MY COUNTRY BULGARIA, I WOULD LIKE TO ASK FOR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE WHAT SHOULD I DO. TAKATA RECALL I HAVE HAD A RECALL FOR THE AIRBAG ON MY VEHICLE SINCE FEB 2016. I HAVE BEEN CALLING AUDI DEALERSHIPS SINCE OCTOBER 2016 TO GET THE SERVICE COMPLETE BUT WAS INITIALLY TOLD IT WOULD BE AVAILABLE BY END OF 2016. IT IS NOW MID-MARCH 2017 AND HAVING JUST SPOKEN TO AUDI, THEY ARE SAYING THERE ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE YET. THEY HAVE SAID THIS SAFETY ISSUE IS MORE APPLICABLE TO HOT-HUMID STATES AND CALIFORNIA IS NOT ONE OF THEM. HOWEVER, I DO DRIVE TO OTHER HOT-HUMID STATES FREQUENTLY AND THIS IS A MAJOR CAUSE FOR CONCERN.
WE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED BY AUDI USA THAT THE AIRBAGS ON OUR CAR MIGHT BE DANGEROUS. THEY HAVE NOT COME UP WITH A REPLACEMENT NOR REPLACEMENT DATE. WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF SELLING THE CAR AND SEE THAT THE VALUE OF THE CAR IS IMPAIRED IF THIS RECALL IS NOT RECTIFIES. WHAT ARE OUR OPTIONS HERE?
THIS AIRBAG RECALL WAS ISSUED A YEAR AGO AND NO REMEDY HAS BEEN MADE AVAILABLE WHILE MORE PEOPLE HAVE CONTINUED TO DIE. AN IMMEDIATE SOLUTION NEEDS TO BE MADE AVAILABLE FOR MYSELF AND OTHERS SO THAT NO MORE LIVES ARE SENSELESSLY LOST
