The failure mileage was approximately 127,000. The contact stated that the dealership was able to resolve the issue.

THE CONTACT CALLED THE LOCAL DEALER KARMART OF MAUI (411 HUKU LII PL #103, KIHEI, HI 96753, (808) 419-7400) AND THE DEALER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED OR DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY PREVIOUS OWNER UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V660000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 81,000.
MY CAR STARTED TO SMELL LIKE GAS AND WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THE SAID IT WAS THE FLANGE/ FUEL PUMP AND THAT THE RECALL WAS ALREADY DONE BUT THE SAME ISSUE PERSIST. THE YET ME DRIVE HOME WITH GAS POURING OUT OF MY CAR AFTER SEEING IT AND WANT TO CHARGE ME 1800 FOR A RECALLED PART. I WAS TERRIBLY SCARED AND CANNOT DRIVE AN UNSAFE CAR.
2011 AUDI Q5 WOULDN'T HOLD IDLE, WOULDN'T ACCELERATE ON CITY STREET, STALLED AT A TURN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND IT WOULDN'T START BACK UP NOT EVEN TURN OVER. IT HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE MECHANIC. FUEL PUMP ELECTRONICS FAULTY, THEY REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP MODULE. AUDI HAS 96K MILES.

WE WERE TRANSFERRED FROM CHICAGO TO GERMANY AT THE END OF 2014 AND AS THE AUDI RECALL FOR THE AIRBAG AND FUEL FLANGE WERE NOW AVAILABLE WE SCHEDULED THE VEHICLE FOR SERVICE ON 11/12 JAN 2017. THE DEALER HAD THE RECALLS IN THE SYSTEM AND PRINTED THEM OUT AS A SERVICE ORDER FOR REPAIR. ON 12TH JANUARY THE DEALER CALLED AND SAID AUDI AG WOULD NOT AUTHORIZE THE REPAIRS. I CALLED AGAIN TODAY 13 FEB 2017 AND THE DEALERS SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE DANIEL CARR SAID THEY WOULD NOT AUTHORIZE AND THAT THE DEALER HAS NO WAY OF ORDERING THE PARTS WITHOUT AUDI AG AND THAT I SHOULD CONTACT AN AMERICAN DEALERSHIP IN THE US.

THE INDOOR ODOR OF THE CAR SMELLED STRONG OF GAS. THE AREA AROUND OR UNDER THE CAR WAS COMPLETELY DRY. THE SMELL WAS PREVALENT WHILE MOVING OR PARKED. THE GAS TANK WAS DRY AT THE NOZZLE. I DRIVE MY FAMILY IN THE CAR, INCLUDING MY GRANDCHILDREN. I WAS CONCERNED FOR OUR SAFETY SO HAD MY LOCAL MECHANIC EVALUATE. THEY DISCOVERED A PIN HOLE LEAK IN THE FUEL PUMP UNDER THE REAR SEAT AND GAS WAS ALL OVER THE GAS TANK. ANY SPARK WOULD HAVE SET THE CAR IN FLAMES AND POSSIBLE EXPLOSION GIVEN THE LOCATION OF THE LEAK. THIS REPAIR COST $1131. THIS OBVIOUS FLAW SHOULD BE IDENTIFIED BY AUDI AND A RECALL SHOULD BE IN PLACE TO REPLACE THIS DEFECTIVE PART.
MY Q5 HAD OVER THE LAST 4 WEEKS A FUNKY GASOLINE SMELL ON THE INTERIOR /EXTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE WHILE PARKED OR DRIVEN.MY CONCERN RAISED WHEN I HAVE SEEN MY FUEL CONSUMPTION GOING UP, SO I HAD IT CHECKED BY MY LOCAL MECHANIC. HE FOUND THAT THE COVER OF THE PUMP ASSEMBLY WAS CRACKING THE TOP PART OF THE FUEL PUMP CANISTER AND GASOLINE IS SITTING IN THE ASSEMBLY.SO THE SMELL INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR IS COMING FORTH CRACKED FUEL ASSEMBLY. I HAD NO ACCIDENT OR IMPACT TO THE CAR THAT COULD COST THIS PROBLEM AND REACHED OUT TO AUDI USA TO HOPEFULLY ADRESS THIS ISSUE . IN THE MEANWHILE I'M NOT DRIVING THE CAR SINCE IT IS A FIRE HAZARD AND COULD BLOW UP IN FRONT OF ME.SEE PICTURE ATTACHED

FROM 10/14/15 TO 7/4/2016 THE OIL INDICATOR ASKING FOR 1 QUART. THIS SERMS TO BE HAPPENING 1X MONTH. CAR IS LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD WITH SERVICE DATE STARTING MAY 2011. VAGCOM ANALYSIS WHEN CONNECTING THE CAR OBDI PORT TO MY LAPTOP INDICATES FAULT CODES 4732, 4735 AMONG SEVERAL OTHERS RELATING TO MISFIRING CYLINDERS AND FAULTS IN THE FUEL PUMP CIRCUIT/ELECTRONICS. A CURSORY SEARCH ON THE INTERNET INDICATES SEVERAL SUCH INCIDENTS WITH MANY OTHER CAR OWNERS WHERE THE CAR HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO GET IT FIXED. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION IN WHICH CAR CAN COME TO STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND I HOPE AUDI TAKES LEADERSHIP IN PROACTIVELY SOLVING THIS PROBLEM BEFORE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT/INJURY HAPPENS TO SOMEONE. *TR
