THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR WAS DIFFICULT TO OPEN OCCASIONALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A SOFTWARE ISSUE THAT NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.

BMW HAVE A RECALL ON 2006 BMW 750LI PASSENGER SEAT MAT, THIS DEFECT WILL KEEP THE AIR BAG FROM DEPLOYING DURING AN ACCIDENT. BUT IN MOST BMW, FROM FRIENDS OF MINE THE DRIVER SEAT MAT IS THE ONE THAT DEFECTIVE ON A REGULAR BASES BUT BMW IS AVOIDING THE REPAIR, THIS DEFECT CAN A WILL CAUSE SOMEONE THEIR LIFE. THE RECALL# 13V564000 FOR THE PASSENGER SEAT MAT, BUT THE DRIVER SEAT MAT IS THE PROBLEM. MY DRIVE SEAT MAT IS BROKEN MY CAR ONLY HAVE 72000 MILES ON THE CAR,BMW IS AVOIDING THE REPAIR. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE BMW DEALERSHIP IN 2012 BECAUSE I NOTICED OIL IN MY GARAGE. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO OIL LEAK AND NOTHING WAS WRONG. I REPORTED IN 2013 THAT THE 'ADD OIL' INDICATOR WAS COMING ON LESS THAN 2,000 MILES AFTER AN OIL CHANGE AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING FOUND THAT NEED SERVICING. IN 2014 I TOOK MY CAR BACK BECAUSE MY OIL INDICATOR STATED I NEEDED TO ADD OIL AND I WAS TOLD I HAD AN OIL GASKET ISSUE THAT WOULD COST $11,000 TO CORRECT. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES WHILE IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND WAS NEVER TOLD OF ANY PROBLEM UNTIL AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. THE SAME IS TRUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION; I HAD MY CAR SERVICED WHILE UNDER WARRANTY BUT WASN'T TOLD OF A TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION UNTIL THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. I HAVE TO ADD OIL EVERY 3 TO 4 WEEKS AND MY OVERDRIVE IS NOT FUNCTIONAL. NOW I AM EXPERIENCING A PROBLEM WITH THE DRIVERS DOOR; IT WON'T CLOSE AT ALL BUT I WAS TOLD THAT MY CAR IS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST FOR THE DOOR MALFUNCTION.

BRAKE PEDDLE APPEAR TO RESIST DEPRESSION, AND BRAKING BECOMES DIFFICULT OR IMPOSSIBLE. THE RESISTANCE FEELS LIKE A CONTROL SYSTEM RESISTING, AND PREVENTING THE PEDDLE FROM BEING DEPRESSED. BUT IT COULD POSSIBLY BE A FAILURE OF POWER ASSIST, BUT IT FEELS LIKE A HARD, BUT SLIGHTLY SPONGY RESISTANCE, LIKE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM CLOSED A VALVE DOWN STREAM OF THE BRAKES. THE ISSUE BEGAN ABRUPTLY 5 DAYS AGO, FROM NO INDICATION AT ALL OF AN ISSUE, TO AN ABRUPT ISSUE IN FULL EFFECT. NOW IT IS CONSISTANT, AND VERY REPEATABLE. WHEN BRAKING TO A STOP FROM OVER 20 MPH, THE BRAKES WORK NORMALLY DOWN TO ~10MPH. THEN BETWEEN 10 AND 7 MPH, THE BRAKES FEEL LIKE THEY ARE PUSHING BACK, IF NOT STRONGLY RESISTING DEPRESSION. REPLACED DME AND PROGRAMMED VEHICLE, CAS,LM AND DME FAILED DURING PROGRAMMING. RESET BATTERY AND REPROGRAMMED UNTIL PASSED TEST. ON 8/23.2011 AGAIN CAR WOULD NOT START, JUMP STARTED WITH TRANSMISSION FAULT LIGHT ON...CALLED BMW AND THEY SAID TO DRIVE IN TO DEALERSHIP. DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AT 75MPH, THE VEHICLE JOLTED AND FALTERED SO CALLING I PULLED OVER 6 LANES TO SIDE OF FWY TO CALL DEALERSHIP THAT IT WAS NO LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE. THEY TOWED IN. DIAGNOSED FOR 2-3 WEEKS AND RETURNED. PROBLEM WITH DEAD BATTERY HAS CONTINUED TO THIS DATE WHERE I KEEP A POWERFUL BATTERY CHARGER IN THE CAR. IT WOULD NOT START ON A PUBLIC STREET SO BMW SAID TO DRIVE IN TO DEALERSHIP AGAIN AND ARE NOW DIAGNOSING. INITIALLY CALLED AFTER 4 DAYS TO SAY IT WAS A BAD BATTERY WHICH IS NOT THE CASE AS IT IS EVIDENTLY AN ONGOING ELECTRICAL OR SOFTWARE MALFUNCTION DRAINING THE BATTERY. I HAVE REQUESTED THIS VEHICLE BE PURCHASED BACK BY BMW OR SOME RESOLUTION AS I NO LONGER TRUST OR FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. I AM NOW WAITING A RESPONSE FROM THE DEALERSHIP. *TR
THE CAR, WHILE DRIVING, REBOOTED ITS INTERNAL SYSTEMS AND THE CAR HAD A 2-SECOND SHUT-DOWN AND GREATLY REDUCED SPEED AND RESPONSIVENESS. WHEN THE DASHBOARD AND MIDDLE CONSOLE CAME FUNCTIONAL AGAIN, IT DISPLAYED SEVERAL WARNINGS THAT CERTAIN FEATURES (LIKE DYNAMIC DRIVE) WERE SHUT OFF AND THE CAR NEEDS TO GO TO A DEALERSHIP. THIS CAR HAS BEEN PLAGUED WITH "ELECTRONIC" PROBLEMS SINCE ITS PURCHASE AND HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP EVERY TWO WEEKS WITH A SYSTEM FAILING OR SHUTTING OFF. BMW HAS PROPOSED MANY SOLUTIONS BUT HAVE YET TO FIX IT, AND AFTER THE LAST "FIX" THE CAR STARTED TO REBOOT ITSELF AND TURN OFF SAFETY FEATURES. THE CAR HAS HAD A "VERSION UPDATE" OF THE SOFTWARE BUT THAT HAS SEEMED TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE. I HAVE PICTURES OF THE ON-DISPLAY FAULTS THAT WERE BEING DISPLAYED AS WELL AS A VIDEO RECORDING OF THE SYSTEM REBOOTING ITSELF. *TR

AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. ALSO, THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE PASSENGER'S SIDE DOOR UNLOCKED AND OPENED INDEPENDENTLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000.
