THE VEHICLE THEN CRASHED INTO THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER ON THE STREET AND FINALLY STOPPED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A SCRATCH ON THE RIGHT HAND, WHICH DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. THE MANUFACTURER AND THE DEALER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE.
