The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that, per their records, the recall repair was completed in 2021. The failure mileage was unknown.
The contact owns a 2007 BMW X5. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost power steering functionality. The contact used force to pull over to the side of the road. The messages "Active Steering Inactive" and "Change of Steering Wheel and 4WD Malfunction" were displayed. The braking system warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the foot module had failed. The foot pedal was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer three times. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with an unknown failure. The cooling system was replaced. The contact related the failures to NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 13V045000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC, SERVICE BRAKES) and 12E029000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 112,000.

I have water leaking out of myBMW on a regular basis. I have to put a gallon of water every time I want to drive it. The oil is constantly needing to be filled. I go through a qt a day in oil. There is oil leaking all over the ground. Not sure if the water is leaking as well.

Unintended acceleration with loss of braking effectiveness. We hit a tree head on going at least 50 by the time we struck it. The vehicle was inspected before we bought it and we only bought it 3 days before the accident occurred. The check engine light came on that afternoon and we were going to get it checked out on Monday.
2007 X5 4.8 WITH PANORAMIC SUNROOF, SUNROOF TRAY OVERFLOWS AND LEAKS INTO INTERIOR ELECTRICAL, AIRBAGS, AND CARPET DUE TO DEFECTIVE DESIGN/ASSEMBLY (BOTH WHEN STATIONARY AND IN MOTION). SUNROOF DRAINS BOTH FRONT AND REAR HAVE DRAIN TUBES WHICH ARE PRONE TO KINK AND BACK UP WATER INTO THE SUNROOF TRAY, WHICH THEN SPILLS OVER ONTO THE TOPSIDE OF THE HEADLINER AND FROM THERE ONTO JUST ABOUT EVERY ELECTRONIC ITEM IN THE CAR INCLUDING AIR BAGS AND CONTROLLERS, LIGHTING CONTROLS, AND ELECTRICAL BOXES ON THE FLOOR AND TRUNK AREA. SOME HAVE REPORTED ARCS AND CAR FIRES DUE TO THE WATER DAMAGE; BMW SAYS IT IS A MAINTENANCE ISSUE ALTHOUGH HAS ZERO LISTED FOR SUNROOF MAINTENANCE, AND NO AMOUNT OF CLEANING IS GOING TO FIX THE SUNROOF DRAIN LINES THAT I FOUND TWISTED...LIKELY BEEN THAT WAY SINCE INITIAL ASSEMBLY, BUT ROUTING DOWN INSIDE THE APILLARS MAKES IT NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET TO TRY TO FIX IT, MUCH LESS SEE IT. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS DEFECT HASN'T INVOLVED NHTSA RECALL SINCE IT CAN VERY EASILY LEAD TO AN IN-USE ELECTRICAL FIRE AT WORST, OR AT BEST FAILURE OF AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY WHEN NEEDED DUE TO WATER/CORROSION ISSUES, AS WELL AS THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN ELECTRICAL DAMAGE FOR EACH OCCURRENCE.
TIRE BLEW OUT. SPEED LESS THAN 10MPH. I DID NOT RUN OVER ANYTHING
PASSENGER LIGHT AIRBAG CAME ON. CALLED BMW OF HARTFORD AND THEY STATED THEY HAVE NO RECALL ON AIRBAGS. I PREVIOUSLY GOT AN EMAIL THAT MY PASSENGER AIRBAG CAN EXPLODE AND MY CAR IS UP FOR RECALL

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AND APPLYING THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP IN A TIMELY MANNER CAUSING THE BRAKING DISTANCE TO BE EXTENDED 60-70 FEET. BMW OF NORTHWEST ARKANSAS (2500 SE MOBERLY LN, BENTONVILLE, AR 72712; (479) 286-3012) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V045000 (SERVICE BRAKES HYDRAULIC, SERVICE BRAKES). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,871.
ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WHILE DRIVING THE CAR, FIRST THE ABS LIGHT WOULD COME ON, THEN MOST OTHER WARNING LIGHTS, THEN THE CAR WOULD LOSE ALL POWER, ENGINE WOULD STOP, CAN'T SHIFT TRANSMISSION, BASICALLY DID ON THE ROAD. AIR BAG LIGHT STAY ON ALL THE TIME CANT ACCESS ANYTHING ON THE DASH , SPEED DONT PICK WHENI PUSH THE GAS ONLY WHEN I PUSH THE PEDAL PUSH IT TO THE FLOOR
When purchased, it was discovered that the OE Passenger Side (Right) brake light/indicator housing of this vehicle had melted from the heat of the standard OE halogen brake bulb, causing the brake light to fall out of its placement in the housing. This results in the brake light indicator to emit little or no visible warning to other drivers, since the indicator bulb has fallen down outside of the casing. Because the indicator may not be visible to other drivers, it presents a hazard of others not being warned that I am braking and could result in drivers of other vehicles not being prepared to brake and therefore could result in a collision that can vary from minor fender bender to fatal collision. It could also result in a more devastating vehicle fire that could destroy more than just the indicator housing. It is visible and is reproduced every time vehicle brake pedal is depressed and brake indicators are engaged. Problem has been confirmed by BMW of South Austin. This specific vehicle has yet to be inspected by insurance, police, manufacturer or others, but is a known problem with these rear indicator housing assemblies that are present on both sides of the vehicle. No warning chimes or signals were present before, during, or after incident, and to this day, there are still no warning signals, signs, chimes, or indicators present.
MY ALARM GOES OFF WITH THE CAR RUNNING, GOES OFF IF I HIT THE LOCK BUTTON AND WILL NOT TURN OFF I HAVE TO UNPLUG THE BATTERY AND IT STILL GOES OF WITH NO POWER CONNECTION STAYS ON ABOUT 15MIN BEFORE IT COMPLETELY DIES AFTER POWER CONNECTION IS BACK IT GOES OFF AGAIN AND IS DRAINING BRAND NEW BATTERY
WATER LEAKING IN FRONT RIGHT FLOOR BOARD CAUSE SHORT IN ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ALSO LEAKING IN REAR AT BATTERY AREA. DEALER HAS ADVISED THIS ALSO CAUSED THE SHORT IN THE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY. IF BMW HAS BEEN SUED BECAUSE OF SUN ROOFS LEAKING BEFORE. MY CAR DIED IN A RAIN STORM AND IN HEAVY TRAFFIC CAUSING GREAT DANGER TO THE PASSENGERS. BMW SHOULD BE FORCED TO REPAIR THESE VEHICLES BEFORE SOMEONE IS INJURED OR KILLED. AND STOP ACTING LIKE THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM BEFORE.
COMPLAINT SENT. REAR PASSENGER TAIL LAMP BULBS HOUSING IS BURNT AND MELTED NOT ALLOWING BULB TO BE REPLACED CAUSING A SAFETY HAZARD FROM FIRE AS WELL AS NOT HAVING APPROPRIATE SIGNALING. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO REPLACE WITH A RECYCLED PART AND EACH HAS ARRIVED WITH THE SAME BURNT HOUSING UNIT. THIS IS CLEARLY A SAFETY ISSUE. I WAS DRIVING AT NORMAL SPEED AND TRIED TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP BUT MY CAR WOULD NOT STOP. BREAK PEDAL WAS PUSHED ALL THE WAY DOWN AND CAR WOULD NOT STOP.
MY VEHICLE HAS THE COMMONLY AND POPULARLY KNOWN WEEP HOLE COOLANT LEAK. APPARENTLY, BMW HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM IN PREVIOUS YEAR MODEL CARS, DATING BACK TO 2002. THEY HAVE KNOWN THAT THIS WAS A FLAW IN THEIR DESIGN. HOWEVER, THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALLS ON THE REPAIR OF THIS ISSUE, WHICH COSTS OWNERS THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR LABOR ALONE FOR A RATHER 'INEXPENSIVE' PART. IT WOULD ONLY BE FAIR FOR BMW TO ISSUE A RECALL ON THIS COMMONLY KNOWN ISSUE THAT SEEMS TO AFFECT HUNDREDS OF OWNERS OF BMWS WITH THE SAME ENGINES. THE COOLANT LEAKS ON THE FRONT SIDE OF THE ENGINE THROUGH A RANDOM HOLE AROUND THE ENGINE. IT IS A RATHER COSTLY FIX DUE TO SEVERAL COMPONENTS NEEDING TO BE REMOVED BEFORE ONE CAN GET TO THE BROKEN PART TO BE REPLACED. IT IS UNFAIR FOR CURRENT OWNERS TO HAVE TO PAY SIGNIFICANTLY FOR A CAR THAT HAS A MAJOR DESIGN FLAW. VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS CURRENT UNFORTUNATE DISCOVERY. MY CAR SUDDENLY LEAKED ALL THE COOLANT OUT OF THE CAR AND INTO THE ROAD AND MY DRIVEWAY. THANKFULLY I WAS ALMOST HOME WHEN IT BROKE DOWN. I COULD HAVE BEEN IN THE FREEWAY OR ON THE STREET AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A RISK OF GETTING HIT BY OTHER CARS IF MY CAR JUST SUDDENLY STALLED. AND I WAS DRIVING WITH BABY ON BOARD! I SUGGEST THIS BE INVESTIGATED, AS IT'S AN ISSUE THAT'S APPARENTLY VERY COMMON IN THE N62 ENGINES.
AS I AM INTERRING AN INTERSECTION THE SUV WOULDN'T REALLY MOVED, I GAVE IT A LITTLE GAS IT BEGAN TO MOVE AND SUDDENLY IT JUST ACCELERATED BY IT SELF AND ALMOST LOST CONTROL, IT STILL DOES IT AFTER A COMPLETE STOP EVERY TIME IS DRIVEN. I STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM THERE FOR I'M NOT USING THE SUV. I'M REALLY SCARED OF DRIVING IT, CAUSING A MAJOR ACCIDENT BECAUSE IT ACCELERATES IT'S SELF REALLY BAD.
2007 BMW X5. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO RIGHT REAR BREAK BULB MALFUNCTION. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE DEALER ADVISED THE ENTIRE REAR LIGHT BULB ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. 2 WEEKS LATER THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN WHILE BEING DRIVEN, DISPLAYING MULTIPLE WARNING DASHBOARD MESSAGES. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED BY FLATBED AS IT WAS LOCKED IN THE PARK POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. *JS
THE VEHICLE HAS EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION DUE TO FAULTY VALVES AND SEALS, THE BUILDUP CAUSES SMOKE TO ESCAPE THROUGH THE HOOD, AND ENTERS THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE, THUS CAUSES DIZZINESS, AND A POSSIBLE FIRE HAZARD. BMW NEEDS TO FIX THE ISSUE AS THEY ARE AWARE OF IT, AS IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON THE 4.8!

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 88,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
MY BRAKE VACUUM PUMP IS LEAKING FLUID IN THE SAME MANNER DESCRIBED UNDER RECALL CAMPAIGN 13V-045, BUT THE RECALL WAS APPARENTLY NOT APPLIED TO MY VEHICLE. APPARENTLY THIS PRESENTS SAFETY ISSUES WHILE BRAKING. IT WAS IDENTIFIED YESTERDAY, BUT I'M NOT SURE HOW LONG IT HAS BEEN AN ISSUE.
BMW WENT TO NORTH HAVEN CT DEALER FOR RECALLS SUCH AS PASSENGER AIR BAG HOWEVER THEY DIDN'T COMPLETE I AM VERY UPSET AS I HAVE A TEENAGER WHOM WILL BE SITTING IN THE FRONT SEAT . I WANT TO ESCALATE
I'M GETTING WARNING LIGHTS ON MY DASH STATING MY TAILLIGHTS ARE OUT. I CHECKED BOTH TAILLIGHTS AND THE HOUSING THAT HOLDS THE BULBS ARE MELTED THROUGH. THERE IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE THAT CAUSES THE BULBS TO OVERHEAT POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A FIRE. THIS HAPPENS IN PARK OR DRIVE. THE TAILLIGHTS WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED AND SOME TYPE OF CODING OR RESISTER WILL NEED TO BE INSTALLED TO PREVENT THEM FROM OVERHEATING AGAIN
SAFETY ITEM. PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE. WHILE DRIVING ON THE CITY STREET, THE PARKING BRAKE GOT ENGAGE BY ITSELF, MAKING IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE AND GOT ALL KIND OF WARNINGS ON THE SCREEN. ABS, 4X4, PARK, AWD, DSC,EBV. BRAKES SMOKING NOTICED, WHEN WE WERE ABLE TO STOP THE CAR. PARKING BRAKE WAS UNABLE TO BE RELEASE BY NORMAL PROCEDURES. GOT IT RELEASE LATER BY MANUAL RELEASE PROCEDURES IN ORDER TO MOVE THE CAR TO THE SHOP. BMW TECH FOUND PARKING BRAKE CONTROL UNIT PART NUMBER 34436850289 BAD AND WAS REPLACED WITH A NEW ONE DEALER COST PART $1200 PLUS $700 LABOR. PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED. I GLAD THAT THIS FAILURE WAS NOT A HIGH SPEED AND WE WERE ABLE TO CONTROL THE CAR. OTHERWISE COULD BE FATALITIES. SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS PART. FORUMS SHOW SEVERAL PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. VEHICLE HAVE 134494 MILES AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT WITH PART FAILURE. ONE OWNER AND MAINTAINED BY BMW DEALER SINCE NEW
DASHBOARD MESSAGE MALFUNCTION ON AIRBAGS. ALSO TOO MUCH SMOKE ON THE BACK OF THE CAR
I HAVE HAD SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THIS RECALL, I ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR 1.5 YEARS AND THIS IS THE THIRD RECALL! MY CURRENT MAIN CONCERN IS THERE IS A BURNING GAS LIKE OIL ODOR IN MY CAR. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE SAYING REMEDY IS UNAVAILABLE! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE MY LIFE AND MY CHILDREN LIFE IS IN DANGER. BMW SHOULD PROVIDE AN IMMEDIATE RESOLUTION!! WHEN I START THE CAR I SMELL BURNING SMELL AND SOMETIMES SEE SMOKE COME FROM HOOD OF CAR. I TOOK MY CAR TO BMW 2 MONTHS AGO FOR SERVICE AND WAS TOLD ALL WAS WELL WITH MY CAR. TWO OTHER RECALLS WERE CORRECTED HOWEVER, I STILL HAVE THE SAME GAS ODOR WHICH WAS DUE TO ANOTHER RECALL DEALING WITH THE FUEL TANK. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD DRIVING THIS CAR, AND ITS AN INSULT FOR BMW TO SEND A LETTER STATING THE ISSUE BUT STATE THERE IS NO REMEDY WHEN THE RECALL CONSEQUENCES CAN CAUSE A FIRE! AND YOU TELLING ME THERE IS NO IMMEDIATE REMEDY!! PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS, I WILL ALSO BE CONTACTING BMW CUSTOMER RELATIONS IN REGARDS TO THIS MATTER.
I HAVE DISCOVERED A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH MY 2007 X5. I LIVE IN SOUTH FLORIDA AND AFTER A HEAVY RAIN, I NOTICED THAT THE TRUNK OF MY CAR WAS FILLED WITH WATER. I REMOVED 3.5 GALLONS OF WATER. I WENT TO START THE CAR BUT AS YOU CAN IMAGINE WITH THE BATTERY AND ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS BEING COVERED IN THAT MUCH WATER, IT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. ONCE I HAD REMOVED THE WATER AND LET IT DRY OUT I CHARGED THE BATTERY AND WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR. WHEN I GOT IT TO START, THE DASHBOARD LIT UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE. MY ABS, TRACTION CONTROL, BRAKE, CHECK ENGINE, 4X4 LIGHTS ALL LIT UP AMONGST SOME OTHER WARNING LIGHTS. I WAS UNABLE TO PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE OR REVERSE AND HAD TO MANUALLY PUSH IT IN THE GARAGE. THE CAR IS STUCK IN A LIMP MODE/SAFE MODE. AFTER I HAD DONE SOME RESEARCH ON THE ISSUE I DISCOVERED THAT THIS IS A WELL KNOWN PROBLEM FOR BMW'S. I LEARNED THAT THERE WAS A US DISTRICT COURT RULING AGAINST THIS ISSUE AND THAT BMW 5 SERIES CARS BETWEEN 2004-2010 WERE COVERED IN A RECALL. THE RECALL IS DUE TO FAULTY WATER DRAIN TUBES COMING FROM THE SUNROOF AND WHEN THEY GET CLOGGED THE WATER DRAINS INTO THE TRUNK WHERE THE BATTERY IS LOCATED AMONGST OTHER IMPORTANT ELECTRONIC ELEMENTS. I HAVE CONTACTED MY LOCAL BMW DEALER AS WELL AS BMW OF NORTH AMERICA AND ALTHOUGH THEY ARE QUITE AWARE OF THIS ISSUE THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR ME AS THE RECALL PERTAINS ONLY TO THE 5 SERIES VEHICLES. IT'S FRUSTRATING THAT BMW IS WELL AWARE OF THE PROBLEM BUT BECAUSE THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT SPECIFIES ONLY 5 SERIES CARS THEY CAN USE THAT AS A LOOPHOLE AND LEAVE OTHERS TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS.

THE AUTO IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE THE STEERING SENSOR KEEPS MALFUNCTIONING AND PUTS CAR IN LIMP MODE. HAPPENED 7 TIMES IN ONE DAY, CAR IN LIMP MODE DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH POWER TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC . MAKING A LEFT TURN IN HEAVY TRAFFIC IT MALFUNCTIONED AND TRAFFIC BEHIND ME CAME EXTREMELY CLOSE TO COLLISION BECAUSE CAR LOST 99% OF POWER. CAR HAS ACTIVE RECALLS VERY OLD NOW BMW SAYS TEY HAVE NO PARTS TO REPAIR. THIS CAR HAS 37,186 MILES ON IT , MAKING THE OPERATING COST OVER $2.00 A MILE NOT INCLUDING GASOLINE OR MAINTAINENCE. TO RESET MALFUNTIONING SENSOR THE BATTERY IS DISCONECTED TO REBOOT THE ENGINE CONTROLLS RECONECTED RESTART THEN TURN HARD LEFT AND THEN HARD RIGHT, NORMAL DRIVING IS RESUMED ON THIS UNIT IT ONLY WORKS UNTILL YOU SLOW FOR TRAFFIC OR TO MAKE A TURN MAKING THE CAR AND TRAFFIC AROUND IT EXTEMELY UNSAFE AS THE AUTO HAS SUDDEN POWER LOSS. THE RECALLS ON AUTO ARE OLD AND AGAIN BMW SAY NO REPLACEMENT PARTS. PHONE MESSAGES TO SERVICING DEALER ARE UNANSWERED AND WHERE I LIVE THER IS NO DEALER. MY OWN SEARCH ON THE INTERNET REVEALED ALL 5 SERIES BMW HAVE COMPLAINTS OF THIS MALFUNCTION. I AM A CANCER PATIENT AND USING THIS VEHICLE TO TRAVEL TO TREATMENTS IS GOING TO KILL ME BEFORE THE CANCER. AND MAYBE OTHER INNOCENT PEOPLE TOO. I FEEL THAT BMW LOOKING IN TO IT IS NOT ENOUGH ACTION NTSB SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION AND BMW SHOULD BE MADE LIABLE FOR ALL REPAIRS AND RESPONCIBLE FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF AFFECTED AUTOS TO A REPAIR CENTER AS THE AUTOS ARE IN FACT UNSAFE TO OPERATE.
MY WIFE DRIVES THE VEHICLE ALONG WITH MY 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN THE BACK SOMETIMES. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS AVAILABLE. EVERY MORNING, IT TAKES 10 TO 15 MINS TO START THE CAR. THE LAST WEEK OR SO, THE CAR DOESN'T START AT ALL CAUSING CHAOS FOR US TO GO TO WORK. LAST WEEK MY WIFE WAS BACKUP AND THE CAR STALLED. "TAKATA RECALL " I HAVE REACHED OUT ON SEVERAL OCCASION TO THE DEALER AND THE BMW RECALL DEPT CONCERNING THE PROBLEMS THAT I'M HAVING WITH THE FUEL PUMP, THEY ASSURED ME THAT THEY WOULD REACH OUT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND LET THEM KNOW BUT THEY HAVE NOT DONE SO, I AM TOTALLY FED UP WITH THE STALLING OF THE VEHICLE THE ENGINE LIGHT KEEP COMING ON AND ACCORDING TO THE RECALL THE FUEL PUMP CAN CAUSE THESE SORT OF PROBLEMS. VEHICLE EXPERIENCES DSC AND AWD AND 4X4 MALFUNCTION WHILE DRIVING. WHEN THE ERROR OCCURS WITH GAS PEDAL DEPRESSED, CAR WILL HESITATE BY GOING INTO NEUTRAL AND JUMPING BACK INTO DRIVE ACCOMPANIED BY ENGINE REVVING UP TO ABOVE 3000 RPM. WHEN THE ERROR OCCURS AND THE GAS IS NOT DEPRESSED, CAR WILL GO INTO NEUTRAL AND COAST, UNTIL I ENGAGE THE TRANSMISSION. IF THE CAR IS TRAVELING LESS THAN 5 MPH AND THE ERROR OCCURS, THEN THE CAR JERKS TO A HALT AND THE TRANSMISSION IS SWITCHED INTO PARK AUTOMATICALLY. THIS TYPICALLY HAPPENED IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. HAD DEALER DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM, PRESUMED IT WAS DUE TO STEERING ANGLE SENSOR NEEDING TO BE REINITIALIZED, BUT THE ERROR STILL OCCURRED. OFTEN TIMES, WHEN I START MY CAR AND THE ERROR OCCURS PRIOR TO BE EVEN SELECTING A GEAR.
VALVE COVER GASKET LEAKS. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I REPLACED THE GASKET. IT WAS ONLY GOOD FOR 6 MONTHS.
BMW HAS TO FIX THIS PRIORITY 3 RECALL, 2 ARE THE FRONT AIRBAGS,(INFLATOR RUPTURE COULD RESULT IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING THE DRIVER OR OTHER PASSENGERS, POTENTIALLY RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH) BEFORE SOME REALLY BAD CAN HAPPEN. 1 IS THE FUEL TANK LEAKS CAN CAUSE FIRE ANOTHER REAL BAD OPTION CAN HAPPEN. I HAVE MY BMW STALLING LAST WEEK WAS VERY BAD, THE CAR JUST STOP ON FREEWAY WITH NOT CONTROL OF THE STEERING WHEEL WAS VERY SCARY AND ALSO MY AND MY FAMILY LIFE WAS IN DANGER.
