On a few occasions, while driving, the car will shut completely off. In these incidents, wrecks could have been caused. I almost ran in ditch one time and almost hit a stop sign because the steering wheel wouldn’t turn since the vehicle was cut off. The latest incident happened on 10-22-2023. On several occasions, while driving, the traction control light will come across the dashboard “traction control off”, immediately after the engine light will come and another alert come across the dashboard “reduced power. As you pull over or begin to stop, the car will shake really bad and another alert will come across the dash board saying “service stabilitrak.

GM has known about the issues with their transmission in the 2014 -2017 Buick Enclave models. They were found under NHTSA Technical Service Bulletin: 18-NA-358 dated October 2020. I have reported this problem to GM, with the information that they requested. The issue here is that the manufacturer currently has a class-action lawsuit filed against it and will have another if they refuse to acknowledge the failures of their transmission in this vehicle. The following expert from the TSB states the following: Some customers may comment that the vehicle may have a severe launch shudder in 1st gear from a stop, or while driving along when in 4th gear, or during the 2-3 upshift or 3-2 downshift. Some customers may also comment on one or more of the following conditions: • Flare • Slide/bump • Slip • Harshshift The problem here is that with the advanced knowledge they had, they knowingly and willingly refused to issue a recall on these vehicles, which has severe outcomes for owners. My wife, who was driving the Enclave was nearly rear-ended at highway speeds when the vehicles behind her were in proximity to her slowed vehicle. The vehicle began to shudder and again when she began driving when the traffic moved. The transmission slips from gears and I verified this myself taking a test drive if the vehicle. This could have led to serious injury or death to my wife! GM refuses to provide any relief from this issue, nor do they wish to accept any amount of responsibility. My question is this, how can GM a take any part in a recall of a major safety component as the airbag system of a vehicle, regardless of mileage, yet they are not held to account for one of the largest components of a vehicle to get out of a hazardous situation when stopped or accelerating? I am asking the NHTSA to find GM sat fault for producing inferior transmissions in the 2014-2017 Buick Enclave and provided deeply discounted pricing or free remediation as a recall for these vehicles.

Sending too much energy two air compressor burning up air compressor. Melting also of power cable. Spitzer Buick of Findlay Ohio told me I was lucky I brought it in when I did "potential fire". If you look up the GM Recall and the Vin# of my car, you will know that I am writing to you because I received the notice about my 2014 Buick Enclave has a Safety Recall. My name is [XXX] and I am very concerned about all of this. I called my car dealer today after I read the letter, and basically which Im sure you already know that there are no parts available to fix this problem. A problem that could mean life or death. In you Important safety recall dated June of 2023 you stipulate this too, "in these vehices, the front-driver airbag inflator may contain supplier manufacturing defect that may result in inflator rupture during deployment. An inflator rupture may cause metal fragments to pass through the airbag and into the vehicle interior, which may result in injury or death to vehicle occupants" That would be me, or my family or my grandchildren. So I called my Buick dealer and they were very nice, but they did not know about the paragraph that I stipulated above, because they said it doesnt say that. Well it does and they seemed surprise about this. I am concerned this could kill me or someone I love and you dont have any parts, or you dont know when anything will be done to fix it, or what I should do. But you know that it could kill me or some one in my family. What kinda of answer is that? I am afraid to drive my car, what am I suppose to do about that. How do I get to work, how do I live, how do I get to go see my grandkids or go to the doctor, or anything for that matter. You said it yourself "may result in injury or death to vehicle occupants" So what are we suppose to do, there are all these people that are in the same boat as me. Do you drive your car and get a chance to be killed or do you not and then how are we suppose to go on with our lives. You need to address this matter NOW before some one does die. Then what will you do? It will be the biggest law suit ever. I need to hear from you and soon. I am worried, scared, if you don't understand and not just for me but for all those people who are driving around in there nice car, that is a time bomb waiting to explode! Do the right thing!!! Get the parts now, or give people cars to drive that are safe until their cars are fixed, something needs to be done immediately before someone dies. I am going to be honest here, I am worried, the light has been on and off in my car for awhile. I saw the news about GM not wanting to offer refunds for the cars being fixed, that you were not going to address it, but somewhere they got to you and said you have to address it. And this is what you send us, you need parts but we dont have them and we dont know when we will get them and then not even halfway down the paper you say! "Why is you vehicle being recalled?" and you go on to say "May result in injury or death to vehicle occupants! I want an answer and I expect one soon. I don't want to die, and if my car needs fixing FIX IT NOW!! INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I have received four Recall Notices (dated June 2023, 08/21/2023, 09/19/2023, and 10/17/2023) relative to the Drivers Air Bag Inflator May Explode. I have reached out to the dealer to schedule the free recall repair to no avail. Each time they have informed me that parts are unavailable. It now has been several months since they have not contacted me for repair or resolution. Occasionally, the Service Airbag indicator light of the vehicle comes on. Meanwhile, I continue to drive this vehicle at great risk of injury and death. Request help in getting the manufacturer and dealer to expedite in fixing the problem. Thank you.

I received a recall notice in June 2023, contacted the local dealer, Donaldson Buick on August 17, 2023. Donaldson Buick, Silsbee, Texas 409-978-8662, told me the recall part was not available. Today, December 20, 2023, I called the Buick Customer Assistance Center, 1-800-521-7300, and spoke with Stephanie in Michigan, again I was told the part was not available. I am [XXX] of age and fear the danger concerning this recall. The Air-Bag if ruptured may cause metal fragments to pass through into the vehicle, which may result in injury or death. The manufacturer sent a letter dated June 2023 for NHTSA recall 23V334 / GM recall N232404980 involving the potential for explosive rupture of the driver's side front airbag. At the time of issuance, no remedy was yet available and the manufacturer indicated that there would be follow-up communication once a remedy was available. As of the morning of February 19, 2024, both NHTSA's website and the manufacturer's website report that a remedy is still not available. Also, we have received no further communication from the manufacturer for this recall. We will be contacting a local dealer for additional assessment and guidance, but are concerned that the manufacturer has not been more assertive in addressing this recall.
We received a letter from General Motors in June of 2023 advising us of the recall associated with our vehicle (airbags that could inflate and kill occupants) and promising to remedy the issue at no charge. However, it has now been 9 months since we received notice and still there are no parts available to fix this issue. It is clear that General Motors is not trying to remedy this matter and simply hoping that people will sell their cars before someone or many people dies from this defect. What is the NHTSA doing about this? We need more than a nice web page - we need you to hold GM accountable. Please get them to fix this issue.
