This page combines three types of NHTSA data: recall campaigns (official manufacturer or government actions), owner complaints (unverified consumer reports), and crash test ratings (where available). A vehicle with many complaints is not necessarily less reliable — complaint volume correlates with sales volume and vehicle age. Recalls indicate identified defects, not overall quality. To compare this model year with others, use the year navigation in the sidebar or return to the model overview page.

I bought this vehicle used to take on a trip with my family. Drove it for a week and seemed to be fine. Got on the other side of Chicago, on interstate 80 (70mph) and the engine started shaking like an earthquake. Had to slow down fast and cross traffic to pull over. As soon as I pulled of the road it stopped, so I restarted. This happened 6 times on way to my destination, with one time in pretty heavy traffic and almost got hit by an 18-wheeler. I took it to a good service center when I got to my destination and he read the Service bulletin 22-NA-211 on this issue and fixed it. Had a safe trip home. From what I understand, the hydraulic mounts leaked and they had to replace bushings. It seems to be a common problem for the 2019 model.
The problem started in the past year (2024-2025) with severe shuddering while driving over 35-40 mph and going over a patched pothole or other irregularity in the road. The shuddering would continue until I slowed to stop. It is quite alarming & feels like the car is falling apart and is more difficult to manuever when this occurs. Once I slow to a stop, the shuddering stops and I am able to proceed once again. I mentioned it earlier in the year (2025) when I went for an oil change but dealer was not aware of what it could be. I look for potential road irregularities but sometimes they are unavoidable as it has occurred again recently.
Severe shuddering while driving. Sometimes on a smooth roadway and sometimes when crossing over a patched pothole. Shuddering continued until slowed to stop. When starting to go again car did not shudder until next incident.

I'm recalling an incident I reported last year. GM refused to honor the service bulletin, and Palmen Buick GMC Cadillac in Kenosha, WI refused to work with Michelin. At 30,000 miles, I now hydroplane, and when I had my car serviced a few weeks before my warranty was set to expire, the dealership again refused to honor the prorate chart for the tires, and again tried to just sell me new ones. I provided a picture of one of the tires now, and you can clearly see how they have deteriorated. I IMPLORE YOU TO MAKE A FULL RECALL. GM IS CLEARLY AVOIDING THIS ISSUE, AND THEIR DEALERSHIPS WILL NOT WORK WITH MICHELIN TO CORRECT IT. Below is the original complaint. Tires are measuring low tread (4/32in) under 27,000. At under 25,000 miles on 6/17/2022, my vehicle experienced a blowout at low speed (approx 20mph), minutes after it had been parked. No pressure sensors were alarming until the blowout occurred. I have a case with Michelin, but the dealership won't contact them. I have a case with GM, but they will not honor the existing service bulletin [XXX] for ANY of the tires, stating it does not appear under my VIN. I'm fortunate this event occurred at low speed, but given the quality of these tires, I'm sure others have not been so lucky. I believe this to be a safety issue, not just a manufacturer defect. Paint is pealing from both sides of car strip between drivers side and passenger on both sides.

The contact owns a 2019 Buick Envision. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle abruptly stopped without driver input. The brake assist warning light was illuminated. The message “Brake Assist Failure - Drive with Caution” was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the local dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
All 4 Michelin Premier LTX 225 / 60 R 18 tires are worn down to (on 2 tires) and below (on 2 tires) the unsafe level, where the vehicle cannot even pass an insnspection, due to safety concerns. The mileage this occurred at is 26,175 miles. These tires are “rated” by Michelin for 60,000 miles. I say rated because they carry a 60,000 mile tread life warranty, in writing (and on their website) from Michelin, which they provide the vehicle manufacturer to be placed in the glovebox. The second page of fine print, however, states in the next to final bullet point, that the warranty does not apply to OEM tires provided on new vehicle purchases. After speaking with several dealerships, parts departments and stand alone tire stores (which sell this brand), they are all aware of not only this practice with Michelin, but knew which model of tire I was referring to, without me mentioning it. This HAS to be either misrepresentation by the tire manufacturer or a factory defect from the same. It has to be one or the other. There are no other options.
HVAC CASE DOOR MELTED. GM case #9-10542006159. Repaired 2 years ago under warranty and GM knew there was a problem with the design. The air distribution system is placed to close to the heating coils and it keeps melting. It has failed again and GM will not do anything about it and keeps saying its out of warranty. They did not repair the problem correctly when it was in warranty. They tell me there is not a fix for it and there has not been a recall. I'm afraid the car will catch on fire

APRIL 7, 2020 I AM WRITING TO YOU TODAY TO SHED SOME LIGHT ON HOW DIRE A SITUATION GM BUICK HAS PUT ME IN WITH REGARD TO A LACK OF A RESOLUTION REGARDING MY 2019 BUICK. GENERAL MOTORS HAS BEEN UNABLE TO PRODUCE AN AIRBAG PART #84548108 FOR MY 2019 BUICK ENVISION PREMIUM SINCE NOVEMBER 27, 2019. MY CAR WAS T-BONED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY 2019 BUICK BY ANOTHER DRIVER WHILE I WAS TRAVELING ON A MAIN ROAD. HE WAS ISSUED A TICKET FOR FAILURE TO YIELD. I AM A REGISTERED NURSE AT WESTCHESTER MEDICAL CENTER IN VALHALLA, NEW YORK. I CANNOT BE WITHOUT A VEHICLE TO TAKE CARE OF MY FAMILY AND GET TO MY JOB AS AN INTENSIVE CARE NURSE AT WMC IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY NEW YORK. FOR THE FIRST 3 MONTHS GM HAS USED THE UAW STRIKE AS AN EXCUSE FOR NOT HAVING THE AVAILABLE PARTS FOR MY VEHICLE. NOW THEY ARE USING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC AS AN EXCUSE FOR NOT PRODUCING THE PART. NO ONE AT GM KNOWS MORE THAN I ABOUT HOW THE CORONAVIRUS HAS AFFECTED OUR DAILY LIVES. GM REFUSES TO PROVIDE ME WITH THE REPLACEMENT PART OR A LOANER VEHICLE! THEY HAVE OFFERED A RENTAL CAR ARRANGEMENT WHERE I WOULD BE CHARGED $240.00 PER MONTH. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE, THEY ARE TAKING FOOD OFF OF MY TABLE. IN ADDITION THEY REFUSE TO PUT A HOLD ON MY LOAN FROM GM FINANCIAL!. IT IS NOW 5 MONTHS THAT I HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY CAR REPAIRED. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU CAN HELP ME RESOLVE THIS DISMAL SITUATION ASAP. [XXX], RNC, BSN INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *TR
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE SERVICE "BRAKE ASSIST" LIGHT CAME ON. I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND HAD NO BRAKES, THEN HAD LIMITED BRAKES WHEN SLOWLY PUMPING THEN PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. THAT WARNING WENT OFF AND THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP CAME ON.

WHILE DRIVING IN CRUISE CONTROL BETWEEN 35 TO 40 MPH, GOING UP A SMALL INCLINE, THE ENGINE BOGS DOWN AND THE VEHICLE RATTLES. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE CHECKED OUT 5 TIMES BY DIFFERENT DEALERS AND THEIR CONCLUSION WAS THAT THIS IS A NORMAL CONDITION. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS INTO THE HIGHEST GEAR FOR FUEL ECONOMY. I DO NOT BELIEVE BUICK WOULD MAKE A VEHICLE THAT RATTLES AT 35 TO 40 MPH. GOING INTO MANUAL 5TH GEAR STOPS THE RATTLING, BUT THAT SHOULD NOT BE THE SOLUTION.

I THEN HAD ABOUT 85% BRAKES.THIS HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES. THE DEALER AND GM CANNOT FIND THE PROBLEM. THE FIRST TIME I WAS ON A HIGHWAY. THE 2ND TIME I WAS ON A STREET IN TOWN AND THE 3RD TIME I HAD JUST PULLED OUT OF A DRIVEWAY IN A SUBDIVISION, AFTER THE CAR HAD NOT MOVED FROM FRIDAY TO SUNDAY.
