TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CADILLAC SRX. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS WERE RETAINING WATER. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A CADILLAC DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO SONIC AUTOMOTIVE CADILLAC OF SOUTH CHARLOTTE (10725 PINEVILLE RD, PINEVILLE, NC 28134, PHONE NUMBER (704) 900-2252) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT WATER WAS GETTING INTO THE HEADLIGHTS AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER ALSO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE COST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
