WHILE DRIVING MY WIFE HAD TO PUSH BRAKE PEDAL FURTHER DOWN TO ENGAGE THE BRAKES TO SLOW OR STOP. PROBLEM CAME ON RELATIVELY QUICKLY. TOOK TO SHOP. DIAGNOSED AS A LEAK IN POWER BRAKE BOOSTER. ALSO, THE HOOD RELEASE MECHANISM IN PASSENGER COMPARTMENT BROKE, MAKING RELEASE OF HOOD VERY DIFFICULT. DANGEROUS IN CASE OF EMERGENCY REQUIRING ACCESS TO ENGINE COMPARTMENT. *TR
ALL OF A SUDDEN I'VE BEEN EXPERIENCING NUMEROUS THINGS GOING WRONG. FIRST I STARTED SMELLING THIS STRANGE AWFUL ODOR, NOT KNOWING THAT ITS SOME TYPE OF WATER LEAK SOAKING MY CARPET ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, UNDERNEATH THE MAT. I HAD MY CAR DETAILED ON NUMEROUS OCCASION BEFORE NOTICING THIS WATER PUDDLES ON THURSDAY MORNING. ON TOP THAT, I GET OFF WORK ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON ALL I SEE IS WATER POURING FROM THE ROOF RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE VISOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ONTO MY SEAT. I'M BEYOND FRUSTRATED...I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY RECALLS,AND OF COURSE, IT ISN'T FOR MY CAR. I DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT TO DO AT THIS POINT. I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALERSHIP TO GET AN OIL CHANGE AND TO LOOK INTO THE PROBLEM ON THIS WEDNESDAY. I MUST GO BACK TO WHEN I FIRST ENCOUNTERED THE SMELL. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE IF THEY COULD LOCATE THE SMELL AND THEY TOLD ME IN FACT AT MY LAST OIL CHANGE IT COULD COST ME THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. I FELT BETRAYED, AFTER BEING OVERWHELMED WITH THIS ISSUE AFTER JUST PAYING $2,200 FOR THE TIMING CHANGE. I HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR EVERY SINCE THE MOON ROOF DRAIN WHICH IS A RECALL NOW CAR WAS FLOODED BROUGHT IT TO DEALER GOT IT BACK IT WAS EVEN WORSE THE CHANGED THE DRAIN AGAIN SINE THEN IT HAS BEEN IN THE DEALER AT LEAST 20 TIMES RADIO GOES UP AND DOWN REAR LIGHTS STAY ON BATTERY DEAD IN THE MORNING EVERY LIGHT YOU CAN IMAGINE ONE TIME OR ANOTHER FROM AIR BAGS TO NO KEY FAB WAS SERVICED THEY FLASH THE PC 3 TIMES TRIED TO CONTACT CADILLAC EARLY RESPONSE TEAM RAN ME AROUND FOR 2 YEARS HAD MY ATTORNEY CALL THEN THEY WOULD NOT GIVE HIM ADDRESS FOR LEGAL DEPT AND HUNG UP ON HIM . ON 8/22 /2015 I OPENED THE REAR HATCH AS I ALWAYS DO WITH THE FAB I WENT TO GET SOMETHING OUT THE REAR HATCH CAME DOWN PUSHED ME TO THE GROUND HITTING ME IN MY NECK WHICH I HAD SURGERY 18 YEARS AGO THE REAR HITCH CONTINUED TO GO UP AND DOWN .IT GOES UP STAYS FOR FEW SECONDS THE COMES DOWN FAST HALF WAY AND GOES UP AND DOWN.CADILLAC SEND A INVESTIGATOR TO MY HOME AND HE COULD NOT GET THE HATCH TO STAY UP I HAVE BOUGHT SINCE 1975 OVER 25 CADILLACS AND DULLEY PICKUPS OVER THE YEARS YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD HAVE TREATED ME BETTER NEEDLESS TO SAY SINCE THIS STARTED I HAVE BOUGHT 4 MERCEDES BENZ AND HAVE TO SAY WHAT A DIFFERENCE .

REAR HATCH AUTOMATICALLY OPENS WHEN I'M DRIVING, WHEN MY VEHICLE IS PARKED AND LOCKED, AND ALSO WHEN MY VEHICLE IS ON BUT IDLING EITHER IN A CAR WASH, STOP LIGHT, OR STOPPED IN TRAFFIC. THIS OCCURS RANDOMLY AND SOMETIMES THE HATCH WILL NOT SHUT UNTIL I TURN OFF THE CAR. *TR

AS WE THOUGHT BACK, I HAD ONE TIME WITHIN THE PAST 3 MO. WHEN I WAS DRIVING & DISCOVERED IT WAS UP. ALSO, EACH OF US HAD ONE TIME WHEN WE CAME OUT OF A STORE & FOUND IT UP, EVEN THOUGH WE ALWAYS LOCK THE VEHICLE. WE EACH DISMISSED THESE EARLIER INCIDENTS THINKING WE MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING WRONG. IF YOU HAVE THE REMOTE IN YOUR POCKET OR PURSE AND YOU BUMP IT WHILE GETTING INTO THE CAR YOU CAN OPEN THE REAR DOOR WITHOUT REALIZING IT. THE REAR DOOR OPENED TWICE WHILE I WAS GETTING IN AND I DIDN'T REALIZE IT HAD OPENED TILL I REACHED MY DESTINATION THE FIRST TIME AND THE SECOND TIME I DIDN'T REALIZE IT TILL I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I AM HARD OF HEARING SO I DIDN'T HEAR THAT IT WAS OPEN AND THERE WAS NO ALARM OR INDICATOR LIGHT SAYING THE DOOR WAS OPEN. *TR
REAR POWER DOOR (LIFTGATE) REVERSES WHEN OPENING AND SHUTS BY ITSELF. THIS HAPPENS ABOUT 75% OF THE TIME I OPEN THE DOOR. IT USUALLY REVERSES WHEN 1/4 TO 3/4 OPEN, THEN SHUTS COMPLETELY. RE-OPENING THE DOOR NORMALLY SUCCEEDS WITHOUT A PROBLEM. I WAS HIT ON THE HEAD LAST YEAR BY THIS. THE LOCAL CADILLAC DEALER IS UNABLE TO FIX THIS AND THEY SAY DETROIT HAS NO ANSWER. *TR
I WAS T-BONED ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE CAR. I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 10-15 MPH. THE VEHICLE THAT HIT ME WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 10-15 MPH. UPON IMPACT MY AUTO. A CADILLAC SRX SUV FLIPPED OVER ON ITS LEFT SIDE. IT APPEARED AS THOUGH MY CAR DID NOT SLIDE SIDEWAYS AT ALL FROM THE IMPACT BUT JUST FLIPPED OVER ON THE LEFT SIDE. *TR
