THE LOW HEADLIGHT BEAMS ARE SO DIM YOU CAN NOT SEE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. IT HAS BECOME VERY FRIGHTENING TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO DEALER WHO STATED HE HAS SEEN THIS ISSUE BUT NOTHING HE CAN DO . CADILLAC WAS CONTACTED AS WELL. THEY STATED THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO EITHER.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE DANGEROUSLY DIM. THE ROADWAY IS NOT LIGHTED FOR MORE THAN 30 FEET. THIS PROBLEM HAS GRADUALLY GOTTEN WORSE FOR BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDES.THE HEADLIGHT IS DIM WHETHER THE CAR IS IN MOTION OR STATIONARY. THE HIGH BEAM LIGHTS WORK JUST FINE.THE CADILLAC DEALERSHIP CLAIMS THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE MOISTURE HAS GOTTEN INTO THE ASSEMBLY UNIT. THAT IS A COST OF $1700, THAT IS NOT COVERED BY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. CADILLAC HAS HUNDREDS OF DOCUMENTED COMPLAINTS FOR THIS ISSUE. IT WILL TAKE SOMEONE BEING KILLED BEFORE CADILLAC WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.
FRONT HEADLIGHTS ARE EXTREMELY DIM MAKING IT DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT.
THE HEADLIGHTS ARE DANGEROUSLY DIM AT NIGHT. IT'S VERY HARD TO SEE THE LINES ON THE ROAD AND EVEN WORSE WHEN IT'S RAINING. I HAD TO USE HIGH BEAMS TO MAKE IT HOME IN THE RAIN.
RECENTLY PURCHASED A USED 2013 CADILLAC SRX FOR MY WIFE. HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM THAT WE PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND CHECKED TO MAKE SURE THEY WERE ON. PER LOCAL CADILLAC DEALER, REPAIR WILL BE OVER $1500 WITH NO GUARANTEE OF IMPROVED VISIBILITY. I WILL NOT ALLOW HER TO DRIVE THE CAR AT NIGHT DUE TO POOR VISIBILITY. I HAVE SINCE READ THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM BY CADILLAC.
I OWN A 2013 CADILLAC SRX. MY HUSBAND AND I WERE DRIVING HOME ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2018 FROM AN OUT-OF-STATE TRIP. WE WERE TERRIFIED AS WE TRAVELED ON UNFAMILIAR ROADS AND IT BECAME DARK. WE DISCOVERED THE HEADLIGHTS WERE SO DIM THAT WE HAD TO DRIVE SLOW AND/OR KEEP TURNING THE "BRIGHT" LIGHTS ON TO SEE THE ROAD. I ACTUALLY THOUGHT THE HEADLIGHTS HAD "BURNED" OUT - THEN I DISCOVERED WHILE ON-LINE LOOKING FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS AND COST ESTIMATES -THIS IS A NATIONAL PROBLEM WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL. I FEEL AS THOUGH "FRAUD" WAS PART OF THE "SALE" OF THIS VEHICLE! WE HAVE WORKED VERY HARD FOR 40 PLUS YEARS TO FINALLY PURCHASE A "NICE" VEHICLE ONLY TO FIND THAT GM FRAUDULENTLY SOLD THE CARS - KNOWING THERE WAS AN EXISTING PROBLEM WITH THE DESIGN OF THE HEADLIGHTS. I WOULD HOPE THAT MY COMPLAINT, ALONG WITH THE COMPLAINTS OF HUNDREDS OF OTHERS, WILL PROMPT THE GOVERNMENT TO OPEN AN INVESTIGATION CONCERNING THIS FRAUDULENT ACT. WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A "REWARD" FOR YEARS OF HARD WORK AND SACRIFICE - SEEMS NOW TO BE THE WAY AVERAGE AMERICANS ARE TREATED BY LARGE CORPORATIONS LIKE GM. MY GREATEST FEAR IS NO ONE WILL TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS "FRAUD" - AND WE WILL ONCE AGAIN HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKES. PLEASE DO SOMETHING - PLEASE.
WHEN USING LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS AT NIGHT THEY ARE EXTREMELY DIM AND UNSAFE. WE OFTEN NEED TO DRIVE MUCH SLOWER THAN POSTED SPEED LIMIT DUE TO THE INADEQUATE HEADLIGHTS. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A NEARBY CADILLAC SERVICE CENTER AND DESCRIBED THE HEADLIGHT PROBLEM. THE SERVICE ADVISOR QUOTED APPROXIMATELY $1400 TO REPLACE THE HEADLIGHTS.
I AM NOTICING THAT MY HEAD LIGHTS ARE VERY DIM ON MY 2013 SRX CADILLAC, FEELING VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT.
FAULTY HEADLIGHTS ON OUR 2013 CADILLAC SRX. HEADLIGHTS (ON LOW BEAM SETTING) ARE DANGEROUSLY DIM AND DO NOT ADEQUATELY ILLUMINATE THE ROAD AHEAD.
THE CUE SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING. LOOKING AT BLOGS IT SEEMS TO BE AN ON GOING ISSUE THAT CADILLAC NEEDS TO ADDRESS.
DRIVING WITH THE LIGHTS ON AT NIGHT IS LIKE DRIVING WITH NO LIGHTS ON, VERY DIM AND DANGERIOUS AT NIGHT HAVE TO DRIVE WITH LIGHTS ON BRIGHT TO SEE, WHICH IS BAD FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC..WENT TO DEALER AND THEY TOLD US THAT THE ONLY OPTION IS TO REPLACE THE WHOLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY AT 1100$ BUT WOULD NOT SAY THAT IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (CADILLAC OF KNOXVILLE, 10005 PARKSIDE DR, KNOXVILLE, TN) AND THE QUE PANEL WAS REPROGRAMMED, BUT THE FAILURES CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.

The contact stated while driving 40 MPH at night the contact noticed that the illumination from the headlights was very dim, making it difficult to see what was in front of the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the headlights needed to be replaced. The headlights were not replaced due to the cost. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
THE CUE PANEL NEEDS TO BE REPLACED - $1400 OUCH WON'T ALLOW ME TO DO ANYTHING ON IT NAV, PHONE, WEATHER, ETC. IN MOTION OR STATIONARY
AT ALL TIMES MY HEADLIGHTS ARE DIM AND WHEN I FIRST START MY VEHICLE MY HEADLIGHTS STROBE. I UNDERSTAND THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM SO I CALLED MY LOCAL DEALER AS WELL AS CADILLAC AND BOTH TOLD ME IT WOULD NOT BE FIXED AS A RECALL/SAFETY CONCERN. WHEN OPERATING MY VEHICLE AT NIGHT I MUST DRIVE WITH HIGH BEAMS, IT'S AS IF MY LOW BEAMS AREN'T ON AT ALL. MY PROBLEM STARTED AROUND 80,000 AND NOW AT 91,000 MY HEADLIGHTS ARE USELESS.
COMPLAINT INVOLVING DIM HEADLIGHTS - POOR LIGHTING. MY 2013 CADILLAC HEADLIGHTS ARE DIM WITH VERY LOW VISIBILITY AND DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. WE ARE UNABLE TO CLEARLY SEE ANY OBJECTS IN THE PATH OF VEHICLE WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT. WE TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR DIAGNOSIS AND WERE TOLD IT NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY AND WILL HAVE TO PAY $2000 FOR REPAIR. AFTER RESEARCHING FURTHER, OTHER OWNERS OF THIS SAME VEHICLE HAVE COMPLAINED OF THE SAME ISSUE AND CONFESSED THAT REPAIR IS ONLY A TEMPORARY FIX - THERE IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT OF THE SEAL AROUND THE LIGHT FIXTURE WHICH ALLOWS CONDENSATION INSIDE THE BULB. WE CALLED GM AND THEY BOLDLY TOLD US NO WARRANTY, NO REPAIR. WHAT ABOUT SAFETY??!!!! THERE ARE APPARENTLY SEVERAL CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT - THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL AND GM SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABILITY FOR FAULTY PRODUCTS THAT IS LIFE THREATENING. CONGRESS HAS TO GET INVOLVED!!!!
THE CUE SYSTEM STOPED WORKING WITH THE TOUGH SCREEN AND ITS NOW IMPOSSIBLE TO SET UP HANDS FREE DRIVING.
MY 2013 SRX HAS DIM LIGHT CAN HARDLY SEE AT NIGHT UNLESS I PUT ON HIGH BEAMS. CADILLAC HAS PAID SOME CUSTOMERS TO HAVE THIS FIXED. THEY ARE JUST GIVING OTHER EFFECTED CUSTOMERS THE RUN A ROUND. THE IN ANY BEAM LIGHTS ARE NOT ADEQUATE AT ANY TIME.
JUST PURCHASED A 2013 CADILLAC. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL VEHICLE BUT ALMOST CRASHED THE FIRST TIME I DROVE IT AT NIGHT. CANNOT SEE WITH HEADLIGHTS ON DIM. HELP PLEASE. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. WHEN YOU DIM YOUR HEADLIGHTS THEY BARLEY SHINE AT ALL. LOOKS AS IF THEY AREN'T ON. STOPPING AND HAVING TO BRAKE IS VERY DANGEROUS.
I HAD TO DRIVE THIS CAR AT NIGHT EXTENSIVELY RECENTLY. WE NOTICED THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO SEE ADEQUATELY WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT WITH THE HEADLIGHTS ON THE NORMAL HEADLIGHT BULB IS SO DIM THAT IT APPEARS THAT NOT BE WORKING WHICH LEAVES YOU WITH THE ONLY OPTION OF USING HIGH BEAMS EVEN WHILE IN THE CITY. THE DEALER SAID THEY GET ABOUT 3 CALLS PER DAY COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE. HE ADDED THAT THERE IS NO FIX FROM CADILLAC BUT THAT THEY ARE WELL AWARE OF IT AND HAVE JUST CHOSEN TO DO NOTHING. COINCIDENTALLY THIS ISSUE IS SO BAD THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. WE HAVE LITERALLY STOPPED DRIVING AT NIGHT TO AVOID HAVING A CRASH.
MY CADILLAC SRX MODEL YEAR 2013 IS EQUIPPED WITH FAULTY HEADLIGHTS THAT ARE SO DIM I CAN NOT SEE THE LINES ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. ON BACK ROADS YOU CAN'T SEE NOTHINGS TO SEPARATE THE ROAD FROM THE LAND. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. I HAVE JUST MISSED SEVERAL ACCIDENTS. I HAVE A GREAT EXTENDED WARRANTY THRU 2022, BUT THEY WILL NOT COVER BECAUSE OF GM STANCE. WARRANTY SOLUTIONS GM HAS FAILED TO PROPERLY ADDRESS THIS ISSUE WITH NOTIFICATION TO CURRENT AND PROSPECTIVE CADILLAC OWNERS. THE COMPANY HAS ALSO ALLEGEDLY FAILED TO OFFER A FIX FOR THE DEFECT UNDER ITS OWN BUMPER-TO-BUMPER WARRANTY. A RECALL WOULD BE TOO EXPENSIVE. COMMON TO OTHER GM MODELS. THE VEHICLE'S HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM TO A POINT WHERE IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT WITHOUT BRIGHT OR HIGH BEAMS ON. WE HAVE EXPERIENCED DANGEROUS CONDITIONS WHEN DRIVING ON DARK OR DIMLY LIT ROADS AT NIGHT. WHEN TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH THE PROBLEM WE WERE TOLD THAT WAS NO SOLUTION AND THAT GM WAS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. NO SOLUTION WAS OFFERED. WHEN THE GM CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE WAS CALLED, NO ASSISTANCE WAS GIVEN AFTER REPEATED PROMISES THAT SOME ONE WOULD RETURN OUR CALL. WE WERE FINALLY TOLD TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIS THAT WOULD COST ABOUT $135. MY COMMENT WAS, WHY WOULD I PAY FOR A DIAGNOSIS WHEN I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT CANNOT BE FIXED. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND I SUPPOSE IT IS CHEAPER FOR GM TO SETTLE DEATH CLAIMS THAN ISSUE A RECALL TO FIX THE PROBLEM.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE UNREASONABLY DIM AND IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. LESS THAN 5 FEET OF VISIBILITY. CAR CAN'T BE DRIVEN AT NIGHT DUE TO THE LOW OUTPUT OF LIGHT. ABSTAINING FROM DRIVING AT NIGHT FOR FEAR OF HAVING AN ACCIDENT AND GETTING SOMEONE GETS INJURED OR SOMETHING MORE SERIOUS. THIS NEEDS IMMEDIATE ATTENTION. SOMEONE IS WELCOME TO COME AND VISIT AND DO A DRIVE WITH US AT NIGHT.
THE CUE INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM IS NO LONGER OPERABLE. THE SCREEN HAS A WEBBING EFFECT WHICH IS CALLED DELAMINATION. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO THIS VEHICLE. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE SCREEN BEFORE I PURCHASED THE CAR THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN MONTHS AFTER MY WARRANTY RAN OUT. MY VEHICLE WAS AT ARNIE BAUER GMC/BUICK & CADILLAC AUGUST 2018 WHEN THE SCREEN CRACKED. I WAS GETTING MY BATTERY LOOKED AT. I IMMEDIATELY NOTIFIED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHEN I GOT THE VEHICLE BACK AND SAW THE WEBBING IN THE SCREEN. SERVICE CLAIMED THEY WHERE NOT RESPONSIBLE BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT VERIFY THAT THE SCREEN WAS NOT LIKE THAT BEFORE THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT IN. IN AUGUST OF 2020 THE SCREEN STOPPED WORKING ALTOGETHER. MY VEHICLE IS NO LONGER HANDS FREE. I CAN NOT PAIR MY PHONE VIA BLUETOOTH AND THEREFORE CANNOT ANSWER OR MAKE ANY CALLS WITHOUT TOUCHING THE PHONE. ADDITIONALLY I CAN NOW ONLY CONTROL CLIMATE FUNCTIONS THAT HAVE A DEDICATED BUTTON NOT ON THE SCREEN. I'M NOT ABLE TO EASILY CHANGE A RADIO STATION OR ACCESS ANY OF THE SETTINGS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CUE SCREEN. I HAVE NO IDEA IF THIS WILL AFFECT OTHER FUNCTIONS IN THIS CENTER UNIT BUT BELIEVE IT WILL OR WHY ELSE WOULD GM INSIST THAT THE WHOLE UNIT BE REPLACED. MY CAR IS NOT ONLY MY TRANSPORTATION BUT IT IS ALSO MY LIVELIHOOD. I WILL NOT PAY $1500 -2000 TO FIX GM'S FAULTY EQUIPMENT. ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY KNOW IT'S FAULTY.

WHEN ATTEMPTING TO UTILIZE THE TOUCH SCREEN FUNCTION, IT WAS UNAVAILABLE DUE TO THE INTERNAL FAILURE OF THE CUE SYSTEM. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO USE SPECIFIC ELECTRICAL FUNCTIONS, SUCH AS THE DEFROSTER, WHICH HAD TO BE MANUALLY SELECTED FROM THE CUE TOUCH SCREEN. THE DEALER (GROSS CHEVROLET BUICK CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF NEILLSVILLE, 404 E DIVISION ST, NEILLSVILLE, WI 54456, 1-(715) 743-3207) SUGGESTED HAVING CUE CUSTOMER CARE ASSIST WITH THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO THE DEALER REGARDING THE REPAIR COST. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER REFUSED TO COVER THE REPAIR. THE CUE MANUFACTURER, DEALER, AND THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO REPLACE THE CUE TOUCH SCREEN. THE PART WAS NOT REPLACED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,000.

THE CONTACT CALLED A LOCAL DEALER (RON CARTER AUTOLAND, 3205 FM 528 RD, ALVIN, TX 77511, (281) 331-3111) AND WAS REFERRED TO AN UNKNOWN CADILLAC DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
The contact owns a 2013 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the low-beam headlights failed to provide adequate illumination while driving. The contact activated the high-beam headlights to be able to see the roadway. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM FOR LOW BEAMS! I MUST RUN W/ HIGH BEAMS AT ALL TIMES AT NIGHT FOR ANY LIGHT. I WAS ADVISED THAT THE SEALS FOR THE LIGHT ASSEMBLIES LET MOISTURE IN AND BOTH HEADLIGHTS NEED TO BE REPLACED FOR OVER $1200. THIS IS A KNOW ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO FOR SAFETY.
EVER SINCE WE OWNED THIS VEHICLE THE HEADLIGHTS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN DIM. I HAD REPLACED THE BULBS AND IT DID NOT HELP. DEALER SAID IT WOULD BE OVER 1500 TO FIX AND IT WAS NOT COVERED. I CANT AFFORD THAT SO I TOLD MY WIFE WE JUST WILL NOT TRY TO DRIVE IT AT NIGHT. ON THE 3RD OF JULY MY WIFE HAD TO TAKE THE CAR TO THE STORE BECAUSE I WAS NOT HOME. I TOLD HER PLEASE BE CAREFUL. WHEN COMING INTO OUR NEIGHBORHOOD SHE MISCALCULATED A RIGHT TURN AND RAN OFF THE ROAD INTO THE DRAINAGE DITCH. SHE WAS SHAKEN UP BUT NOT HURT. SHE WAS ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE DITCH BUT MESSED THE CAR UP PRETTY BAD. SHE SAID SHE SIMPLY COULD NOT SEE THE TURN BECAUSE OF THE HEADLIGHTS BEING TO DIM. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO MY DEALERSHIP BEFORE ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND SAID IT IS NOT COVERED SO THE COST WOULD BE 1500 PLUS. THIS TO ME IS A SAFETY HAZARD THE ONLY WAY WE CAN SEE IS IF WE HAVE THE BRIGHTS ON. THERE NEEDS TO BE A SAFETY RECALL ON THIS MODE OF VEHICLE IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT.

DRIVERS SIDE HEADLIGHT IS TO DIM CAUSING LOW VISIBILITY AT NIGHT. UNSAFE TO DRIVE.
THE CADILLAC CUE (INFORMATION/NAVIGATION/AIR CONDITION SYSTEM) DEVELOPED SPIDER WEB TYPE CRACKS INSIDE THE SCREEN; THIS MAKES IT HARD TO SEE OR USE CONTROL FEATURES. I WENT ONLINE AND FOUND HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. ONE PERSON HAS ONLY 19,000 MILES AND HAS THE WEB LIKE CRACKS. A SOURCE SAYS IT'S A FACTORY DEFECT, AND THAT THE CRACKS ARE THER GLUE OR ADHESIVE HAS DISSIPATED, AND IS DETACHING THE SCREEN FROM THE ACTUAL COMPONENT. I HAVE 44,000 MILES ON MY VEHICLE ... IT STAYS UNDER THE CARPORT, BUT IS STILL HAVING THIS ISSUE. WITH SO MANY PEOPLE COMPLAINING AND POSTING PICTURES ON GENERAL MOTORS DISCUSSION THREAD, ONE WOULD THINK SOMETHING WOULD'VE GOTTEN DONE. I HAVE A 2013 CADILLAC SRX. I HAVE HAD IT EXACTLY A YEAR FROM JUNE 30 2017-JUNE 30TH 2018. I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE LIGHTS EVERY SINCE I BOUGHT IT. WHEN YOU GO FROM BRIGHT TO DIM ITS LIKE CUTTING OFF YOUR HEADLIGHTS COMPLETELY. IT IS VERY UNSAFE AND DANGEROUS. I TOOK OFF WORK ONE DAY TO TAKE THE CAR BACK TO THE SAME DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT FROM TO SEE IF THEY COULD FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY TRIED THERE BEST NOT TO WORK ON IT. THEY HAD EVERY EXCUSE. THEY FIRST WANTED ME TO TRADE MY CAR IN FOR ANOTHER AND THIS TOOK 2 HOURS AND THEY WANTED ME TO PAY 10,000 EXTRA TO WHAT I ALREADY OWE ON THE CAR I BOUGHT FROM THEM THE FIRST TIME. THEN I TELL THEM I WANT MY CAR FIXED. SO THEY SEND ME TO ANOTHER EMPLOYEE . HE TRYING HIS BEST TO FIND ANY EXCUSE TO NOT BE ABLE TO WORK ON IT. NEEDLESS TO REMIND U I PURCHASED A BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR I PAID AN EXTRA $2,400. SO THE EMPLOYEE IS TELLING ME IT DOES NOT COVER THE BUMPER IT ONLY COVERS ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS BETWEEN THE BUMPER. SO I WAS LIED TO WHEN I BOUGHT THE WARRANTY. BESIDES THAT HE THEN TELLS ME THAT IT WILL BE $150 JUST TO CHECK MY HEADLIGHTS EVEN TO HE ALREADY CHECKED WITH ANOTHER SRX AND SAID THAT THEY WHERE REALLY DIM COMPARED TO THE OTHER USED SRX. BUT HE WANT TO CHARGE ME $150 JUST TO CHECK FOR ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AND CHARGE ME $21 A BULB. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAITED ANOTHER 2 HOURS I WAS THERE FOR 4 HOURS AND NOBODY TRIED TO FIX NOTHING.

ABOUT A MONTH AGO I NOTICED THE LOW BEAMS ON MY VEHICLE ARE VERY DIM. THEY ARE SO DIM I HAVE GOTTEN OUT OF MY VEHICLE TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE EVEN ON. THEY ARE ON BUT I CANNOT SEE MORE THAN 5FT IN FRONT OF ME WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. IT IS VERY SCARY AND DANGEROUS HOW DIM THEY ARE. SOMETIMES I TURN ON MY HIGH BEAMS TO SEE AT NIGHT BUT THIS IS ALSO DANGEROUS TO OTHER DRIVERS.
BOTH OF MY HEADLIGHTS ARE FAULTY / ARE WEARING PREMATURELY. MY HEADLIGHTS HAVE AN EXTREMELY LACK OF ADEQUATE ILLUMINATION MAKING IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SEE THE ROAD AT NIGHT. THE HEADLIGHT DEFECT IS A POOR SEAL THAT ALLOWS MOISTURE TO ENTER THE HEADLIGHT. THE MOISTURE IS CAUSING CORROSION AND SHORT-CIRCUITING CAUSING BOTH OF MY HEADLIGHTS TO SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE THE HEADLIGHT'S OUTPUT. MY HUSBAND HAS CONTACTED THE CADILLAC DEALERSHIP ON LIME STREET IN METAIRIE, LA TO REPORT THE PROBLEM AND THEY SAID THEY KNOW OF THE PROBLEM. THEY SAID THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BUT REPLACE THEM FOR ABOUT A $1,300 FEE. THEY ARE AWARE THAT THE HEADLIGHTS ARE AN ISSUE BUT HAVE NOT PUT A RECALL ON THE ISSUE. THEY TOLD WE HAD TO TAKE THE COMPLAINT UP WITH THE EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANY THEN THEY DOUBT THE WARRANTY I PURCHASE WITH CADILLAC FOR $5,000 WILL NOT COVER IT. CADILLAC DID NOT TELL ME BEFORE OR AFTER I PURCHASED THIS $37,000 VEHICLE THAT THEY KNOW ABOUT THEIR LOW GRADE FAULTY HEADLIGHTS AND THAT THEY PLAN TO DO NOTHING ABOUT THE ISSUE WHEN IT HAPPENS.
HEADLIGHTS ARE HAZY CAN NOT SEE ANYTHING WHILE DRIVING DURING THE NIGHT. THIS COULD CAUSE A BAD ACCIDENT. POPPING NOISE ON FRONT DRIVER SIDE WHILE CAR IS RUNNING DEALERSHIP SAYS IT WAS A LOOSE AXEL NUT. THE DEALERSHIP TRIED REPAIRING IT TWICE, STILL THE SAME.

THE TECH-ADVISER INFORMED ME THAT I NEED HEADLAMPS THAT COST $1200 EACH AND THREE DOWNLOADS TO FIX THE CUE TECHNOLOGY SYSTEM ISSUE. WHAT? THESE ISSUES ARE WELL DOCUMENTED AS ONGOING ISSUES. WHY ARE WE...THE CUSTOMERS ADDRESSING GENERAL MOTORS (GM) NOTED DEFECT/ISSUE SURROUNDING THE SRX 2013 MODEL? I WILL USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO INFORM FOLKS AND POTENTIAL BUYERS TO BEWARE OF THIS SAFETY ISSUE. GM IS NOT BEING ACCOUNTABLE NOR RESPONSIBLE. IN THE MEANTIME I AM DRIVING AND INCREDIBLY UNSAFE VEHICLE. IT IS IN THE SHOP CURRENTLY FOR OTHER REASONS, AND I'M DRIVING A 2015 LONER AND THE DIFFERENCE IN THE LOW BEAM BRIGHTNESS IS MORE THAN SIGNIFICANT. THIS IS A VERY STRONG SAFETY ISSUE. AND GENERAL MOTORS CAN'T SERIOUSLY EXPECT SOMEONE TO PAY 1500 TO $2,000 IN REPAIRS FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD NEVER GO OUT. IT'S THEIR FAULT AND THEY KNOW IT.

FINALLY I CALLED MY MECHANIC, AFTER HIM MY CADILLAC DEALER ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THE HEAD LIGHTS HAD DETERIORATED AND THAT THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT WOULD COST QUITE A HEFTY PRICE. IN RESEARCHING I SEE THAT I AM NOT ALONE IN THIS PROBLEM. IN FACT I HAVE FOUND THAT AT LEAST TWO CLASS ACTION SUITS HAVE BEEN FILED, ONE IN CA AND THE OTHER IN FL. WHY HASN'T THERE BEEN A RECALL? THIS IS GOING TO PROVE DANGEROUS FOR THOSE DRIVING AT NIGHT. AS IT IS, I WILL BEGIN USING MY HIGH BEAMS AT ALL TIMES. DO WE NEED TO WAIT FOR SOMEONE TO BE INJURED OR WORST, KILLED, BEFORE THE GOVERNMENT REQUIRES A RECALL?

CONSUMER IS OUT THE EXPENSE AND PROBLEM REMAINS A SAFETY ISSUE. GM NEEDS TO RECALL AND FIX. HIGH BEAMS ARE THE ONLY SAFE WAY TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE AT NIGHT.

TIMING CHAIN IS DAMAGED AND THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 77,000 MILES. IT STARTED HAVING PROBLEM WHEN THE CAR WAS UNDER WARRANTY AT ABOUT 66,000 MILES. THE DEALER CHOSE TO JUST MONITOR AND NOW MIRACULOUSLY ONCE I HAVE NO WARRANTY, THE TIMING CHAIN NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR IS NOISY WHILE RUNNING.
