2005 CHEVY COBALT HAS POWER STEERING FAILURE. POWER STEERING IS FINE AND WORKING UNTIL ABOUT 10 MINUTES INTO A DRIVE. THE POWER STEERING MESSAGE COMES ON THE DISPLAY AT THE DASH AND STEERING BECOMES VERY DIFFICULT. POWER STEERING RETURNS UPON RESTARTING THE VEHICLE BUT WILL USUALLY FAIL SHORTLY AFTER. I HAVE DONE INTERNET RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR THIS MAKE AND MODEL. MY VEHICLE IS IN THE SHOP NOW AWAITING AN ESTIMATE FOR REPAIRS. *TR
I OWN A 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT THAT HAS IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS BEGUN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE POWER STEERING. MY WIFE HAS BEEN DRIVING AND THE POWER STEERING IMMEDIATELY TURNS ON AND THE WHEEL LOCKS. SHE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM IN MIDDLES OF TURNS AND HAS HAD MANY PROBLEMS. NORMALLY, WHEN SHE RESTARTS THE CAR, THE POWER STEERING TURNS OFF ONLY TO COME ON EITHER MINUTES OR IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS A MAJOR DANGER IF SHE CONTINUES TO DRIVE WITH THIS. WE HAVE AN APPOINTMENT THIS FRIDAY CONCERNING THIS ISSUE. *TR
INTERMITTENT ELECTRIC POWER STEERING FAILURE IN MY 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT. POWER STEERING WOULD FAIL WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING RESULTING IN GREAT DIFFICULTY IN CONTROLLING THE VEHICLE. FAILURE OCCURRENCES PROGRESSIVELY BECAME MORE FREQUENT. PROBLEM REQUIRED REPLACEMENT OF STEERING COLUMN AT LOCAL DEALERSHIP AT A COST OF $800. *TR
WE WERE DRIVING OUR 2005 CHEVY COBALT ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY AND THE WORDS "POWER STEERING" CAME ON THE DASH DISPLAY. MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING AND SAID HE DIDN'T HAVE ANY POWER STEERING. LUCKILY HE WAS DRIVING BECAUSE I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CONTROL IT TO GET IT BACK HOME ALMOST 2 HOURS AWAY. WE HAD TO SPEND 450-500 FOR THE NEW POWER STEERING UNIT THEN PAY SOMEONE TO PUT IT IN. WE HAD JUST BOUGHT THIS IN AUGUST 2009. THIS HAPPENED IN DECEMBER 2009. WE BOUGHT THIS FOR OUR 16 YEAR OLD SON WHO HAD JUST GOT HIS DRIVERS LICENSE AND NOW WE ARE AFRAID TO LET HIM DRIVE IT. THERE WOULDN'T BE ENOUGH MONEY IN THE WORLD TO SUE FOR IF SOMETHING HAPPENED TO ONE OF MY KIDS IN THIS CAR. I HOPE GM FIXES THIS. *TR
2005 CHEVROLET COBALT POWER STEERING FAILURE. BEGAN WHILE I WAS JUST DRIVING ABOUT 30 MPH IN TRAFFIC AROUND MID DECEMBER AND WOULD GO OFF EVERY FEW MILES. IT IS NOW MUCH MORE FREQUENT GOING OFF AROUND EVERY ONE TO TWO MINUTES OF DRIVING. I DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO FIX THIS I LOOKED ONLINE AND THE CONSENSUS OF THE MANY PEOPLE WITH THIS PROBLEM IS AROUND 2,000 DOLLARS, AND I WORRY ABOUT MY SAFETY BECAUSE IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO DRIVE. *TR
BOTH FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARE BUSHINGS ARE BAD NEEDS REPLACED AND GM WITH NOT DO ANYTHING BUT TOLD ME SORRY FOR THE EXPERIENCE. IN THE WINTER IN DEC, 2009 MY CAR STARTED TO DRIVING FUNNY THE STEERING WAS ACT WEIRD HAD TO DRIVE ABOUT 15 TO 20 MPH THEN IT STARTING PULLING TO THE RIGHT AND TRY TO KEEP THE WHEEL START BUT IT WAS HARD I HIT A GIANT POT HOLE MADE A HORRIBLE NOISE UNDER THE CAR. I FIND OUT WHEN I TOOK MY CAR FOR THE POWER STEERING RECALL THAT MY PASSENGER RIM IS BENT, MAYBE WHEEL BEARING IS DAMAGED ALSO ALL ON THE RIGHT FRONT AND THAT BOTH FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS ARE BAD NEED REPLACED. GOT THE STEERING RECALL FIXED AND LEFT THE DEALERSHIP TALK TO 3 DIFFERENT REPAIR SHOP AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY HAVE TO FIX THESE FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHING ON SEVERAL 2005 COBALT AND UP THAT THIS A VERY ON GOING PROBLEM EVEN WITH COBALT WITH LESS MILES THEN MINE AND I DO NOT EVEN HAVE 50,000 YET. I WOULD SAY IT IS A VERY BIG PROBLEM THAT GM NEEDS TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR NOT EACH CAR OWNER. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED. THE CONTACT PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURNED THE ENGINE OFF. WHEN SHE RESTARTED, THE POWER STEERING RESET ITSELF AND FUNCTIONED PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE IT WAS REPAIRED ACCORDING TO RECALL 10V073000 (STEERING:ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM). WHILE DRIVIGN 35 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED AGAIN AND SHE ALMOST CRASHED INTO A POLE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE DEALER AND SCHEDULE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 89,000.
AS I WAS LEAVING MY PARKING GARAGE FROM WORK, I WAS GETTING READY TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN ONTO THE STREET, AND RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD THE CAR STOPPED STEERING. I HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON TO GET IT TO STEER AGAIN. CURRENTLY IT'S FINE, BUT I AM SCARED THAT IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN, AND WITH MY 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN THE CAR, AND ON THE INTERSTATE, NOT SO SAFE. *TR
05 CHEVY COBALT (EPS) POWER STEERING JUST STOPS WORKING YOU CAN DIVE THE CAR MAYBE A MILE AND THE POWER STEERING JUST STOPS WORKING . YOU CAN TURN OFF THE CAR AND RESTART IT AND IT WILL DO THE SAME THING IN A MILE OR SO HAS STARTED DOING IT JUST DRIVING STRAIT. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 CHEVY COBALT WITH 40,000 AND THE POWER STEERING INTERMITTENTLY DOESN'T WORK. I CAN TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND I HAVE POWER STEERING FOR AROUND 30 SECONDS BEFORE THE DIC DISPLAYS "POWER STEERING" AND I LOSE ALL POWER STEERING. I'VE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAY I NEED A NEW STEERING COLUMN TO CORRECT THE ISSUE AT A TOTAL COST OF OVER $900! THIS IS RIDICULOUS. THE VEHICLE JUST WENT OUT OF WARRANTY AND NOW I HAVE A $900 BILL. STEERING IS VERY DIFFICULT AND DANGEROUS TO DRIVE WITH SHARP TURNS. I BELIEVE GM HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE DURABILITY IN THEIR MOTOR AND NOT THE STEERING ASSEMBLY. AFTER PAYING THE BILL AT THE DEALERSHIP I TOOK THE OLD COLUMN AND DISASSEMBLED THE ELECTRIC MOTOR. THE SPRINGS FOR THE BRUSHES ARE BLUE/RED IN COLOR SIGNIFYING SIGNIFICANT HEAT TO THEM. THE BRUSHES THEMSELVES ARE ALMOST NON EXISTENT. THERE WAS HARDLY ANY CONTACT ONTO THE ARMATURE OF THE BRUSHES, POSSIBLY FROM THE SPRINGS LOSING STRENGTH FROM EXCESSIVE HEAT. INSIDE THE MOTOR, IT WAS FULL OF DUST FROM BRUSHES. THERE'S ALSO A SLIGHT BURN MARK ON THE CASE OF THE MOTOR ON THE INSIDE WHERE THE WIRE FROM ONE OF THE BRUSHES WAS CLOSE TO. THE DUST COULD BE CONDUCTING ELECTRICITY GOING FROM THE BRUSH GOING STRAIGHT TO THE CASE. *TR
2005 COBALT CHEVROLET POWER STERRING GOES OUT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, AND THEN THERE WAS LOSS OF POWER STEERING. SHE HAD TO EXERT GREAT EFFORT TO CONTROL THE STEERING COLUMN . THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING TAKEN FOR INSPECTION. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 55,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 25 TO 30 MPH THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT CONTROL PANEL, AND THEN HE LOST VEHICLE CONTROL. AFTER TWO MINUTES THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED, BUT BECAUSE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED, NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 48500.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATES ON THE INSTRUMENT CONTROL PANEL, AND THEN THE STEERING COLUMN LOCKS. HE HAS TO SHIFT THE VEHICLE INTO NEUTRAL IN ORDER TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER HAS NOT BEEN NOTIFIED ABOUT THIS FAILURE. NO REPAIRS HAVE BEEN DONE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 65119. THE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER WAS UNAVAILABLE.

BOUGHT A NEW 2005 CHEVY COBALT. THE CAR HAD SERIOUS AIR CONDITIONING LEAKING PROBLEMS RIGHT AWAY THAT TOOK OVER A YEAR TO SOLVE. WE WERE ABOUT TO GO LEMON LAW ON THE CAR WHEN CHEVY CAME OUT WITH A SERVICE NOTICE AND GOT THE LEAK SOLVED. THE CAR THEN HAD A HEADLIGHT THAT WOULD FILL UP WITH WATER AND SHORT OUT THE HEAD LIGHT. THE DEALER TOLD ME TO DRILL A HOLE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE HEADLIGHT CASE AND THE WATER WOULD LEAK OUT. THE DEALER TOLD ME TO DO THIS!!! THE CAR RECENTLY STARTED TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE ODOMETER JUMPING AROUND WHILE YOUR DRIVING. WHILE THAT'S HAPPENING THE POWER STEERING LOCKS UP AS THE CAR IS BEING DRIVEN. IT HAPPENED THE FIRST TIME WITH MY 22 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER DRIVING THE CAR TO SCHOOL DOING 65 ON I95. SCARED HER AND SHE HAD TO TRY GET THE CAR OVER THREE LANES TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. SHE WAS ABLE TO DO IT AND AFTER RESTARTING THE CAR, THE STEERING WAS WORKING AGAIN. IT TOOK TWO WEEKS FOR IT TO HAPPEN AGAIN, THIS TIME ON A SIDE ROAD AS SHE IS NOT ALLOWED TO DRIVE IT ON THE HIGHWAY ANYMORE. SHE IS A STUDENT AND NEEDS TO GET TO COLLEGE. WE HAVE CONTACTED CHEVY AND THEY TELL US IT'S NOT UNDER RECALL AND IT'S GOING TO COST BETWEEN $600- $1200 DOLLARS. IT COULD EITHER BE THE POWERSTEERING MOTOR OR THE STEERING COLUMN. THEY WON'T KNOW UNTIL THEY GET IN TO THE WORK. I LOOKED ON LINE AND FOUND A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM IN THE 05-06 MODEL. THIS CAR NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AS THE PROBLEM IS GOING TO KILL SOMEONE ON THE ROAD. THE EXPENSE IS BOTH UNNECESSARY AND A BURDEN IN THESE TOUGH TIMES. MY CHILD IS A STUDENT AND DOES NOT NEED TO SHOULDER THIS BURDEN BECAUSE OF THE BAD ENGINEERING BY CHEVY. I KNOW THEY ARE BANKRUPT AND THIS IS A BURDEN WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO TAKE. SOME ONE IS GOING TO DIE! *TR
I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY 2005 CHEVY COBALT. I HAVE ABOUT 80,000 MILES, MOSTLY HIGHWAY ON IT AND ABOUT 5,000 MILES AGO MY POWER STEERING KEPT GOING OUT EVERY NOW AND THEN. IT HAPPENED NOT SO OFTEN SO I WOULD JUST SHUT THE CAR OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON AND THE PROBLEM WOULD BE GONE. UNTIL ABOUT ANOTHER 100 MILES THEN IT WOULD START ALL OVER AGAIN. NOW ITS HAPPENING EVERY TIME I TAKE THE CAR OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY. I HAVE BEEN ONLINE TO SEE IF OTHER COBALT OWNERS ARE HAVING SIMILAR PROBLEMS AND LOW AND BEHOLD THERE ARE A TON OF THEM. I CAN'T AFFORD TO HAVE THEM CHARGE UPWARDS OF $700.00 FOR ME TO FIX THIS. IF THIS IS SUCH AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR THEN SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE IMMEDIATELY BEFORE SOMEONE, OR ME AND MY FAMILY, GET INTO A HORRIBLE ACCIDENT. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE ON THE VEHICLE AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE POWER STEERING WOULD LOCK. AN HOUR AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE STEERING FAILED AT LEAST THREE TIMES. HE HAD TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL, TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND WAIT FOR THE POWER STEERING TO RESET ITSELF. THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE FAILURE. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 64,015.
1.) I FIRST HEARD AN UNUSUAL CLUNKING NOISE IN THE FRONT OF MY 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT. I TOOK IT IN TO THE LOCAL GM DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT I NEEDED MY FRONT END CONTROL BUSHINGS REPLACED. UPON SUCCESSFUL REPLACEMENT OF SAID PARTS - WHICH SOLVED THE CLUNKING PROBLEM - I IMMEDIATELY BEGAN TO HEAR A RATTLING NOISE COMING FROM THE STEERING COLUMN OF MY VEHICLE UPON DRIVING OVER ANY UNEVEN SURFACE (GRAVEL ROADS, SNOW/ICE COVERED ROADS, ETC). 2.) A COUPLE OF WEEKS AFTER THE REPLACEMENT OF THE CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS, THE RATTLING NOISE GREW WORSE, AND I ALSO NOTICED THE STEERING PULLING MUCH HARDER THAN USUAL WHEN TURNING AT SPEEDS OF 5-15 MPH. 3.) I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK INTO THE LOCAL GM DEALER TO EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM AFTER I CONCLUDED SOME PERSONAL RESEARCH OF WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THE PROBLEM. I INFORMED THE DEALER THAT I HAD BEEN INFORMED OF A POWER STEERING FAILURE AND POSSIBLE STEERING COLUMN PROBLEMS WITH THIS PARTICULAR MODEL/YEAR, AND REQUESTED THAT THEY LOOK INTO ANY CAUSE THAT MAY BE INFLUENCING SAID PROBLEM. THE DEALER INFORMED ME THAT THE RATTLING WAS SIMPLY A PROBLEM INSIDE THE DASHBOARD, AND TO COME BACK LATER IN THE SPRING SO HE COULD TAKE A LOOK AT IT (THERE WAS A FOOT OF SNOW ON THE GROUND AT THE TIME). HE ALSO SAID THAT THE PROBLEM "WAS NOT THAT SERIOUS." *TR
1) OCCURS WHEN BOTH DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS AND HIGH 2) CAR COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF (AS IF DRIVING A MANUAL SHIFT CAR AND STALLING - MY CAR IS AUTOMATIC). FAILURE HAS OCCURRED 3X NOW, TWICE AT LOW SPEEDS, ONCE GOING 60 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY 3) PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTART THE CAR. TOOK THE CAR TO DEALERSHIP, THEY KEPT IT FOR 3 DAYS AND TOLD ME NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR. *TR

WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 45 MPH HE NOTICED THAT THE POWER STEERING LIGHT HAD APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD, AT THE SAME TIME THE VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER STEERING. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALERSHIP AND THERE WERE NO PRIOR WARNINGS. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 52000.
THE BRAKE CALIPER WAS RATTLING BECAUSE IT WAS BROKE I HAD A AUTO REPAIR MAN REPLACE PART THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT BRAKES AGAIN THAT WAS FOR THE FRONT AND BACK IT ALSO HAS ELECTED ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS THE WINDOWS WORK WHEN THEY WANT AND THE CAR MOSTLY ALWAYS STALLS IT HAS EVEN STALLED ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC ON HWY WHAT IT DOES IS ACT REAL SLUGGISH AND THE MORE YOU PRESS ON THE GAS THE MORE IT BOGS OUT AND PULLS BACK INSTEAD OF TAKING OFF AS SUPPOSED TO THE TURN SIGNALS IN THE FRONT ALWAYS BLOW EVERYTIME REPLACED THERE IS ALSO INTERIOR ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS SUCH AS THE INTERIOR LIGHTING WORKS WHEN IT WANTS TO AND THE DOORS LOCK AND UNLOCK THEMSELVES WITH WILL UNSET THE ANTI THEFT SYSTEM AND ALLOW FOR PROWLERS TO TAKE THE CAR. *TR

WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH THE "REDUCED ENGINE SPEED" AND "ENGINE DISABLED" WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT CONTROL PANEL, AND THEN THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALERSHIP. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 103000.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING FAILED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH AND HE LOST CONTROL OF THE STEERING WHEEL. THE FAILURE OCCURRED AT LEAST TEN TIMES. HE TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESTARTED IT SINCE OCCASIONALLY IT WOULD CORRECT ITSELF. THE POWER STEERING LIGHT ALSO ILLUMINATED AFTER THE STEERING FAILED. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE ISSUE WAS PREVALENT; YET, THE DEALER DID NOT MAKE ANY REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 52,000.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND I HEARD A DINGS CHIME I LOOKED AT MY CONSOLE AND IT READ POWER STEERING AND THAT MOMENT MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT AND I HAD LOST CONTROL OF MY CAR. I HAD TO SLAM ON MY BRAKES DUE TO A SHARP TURN AHEAD. NEEDLESS TO SAY IF WOULD OF BEEN CLOSER TO THE TURN I MAY HAVE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. SINCE THEN THE CONSOLE FLASHES THE WORDS POWER STEERING ON AND OFF AND I CAN'T TURN THE CAR WHEN IT HAPPENS MY FIRST CHILD WAS BORN ON DEC 10,2009 AND I'M AFRAID TO TAKE HIM TO THE DOCTOR OR MY WIFE TO THE GROCERIES STORE THIS VEHICLE IS A SAFETY HAZARD FOR BOTHTHE OWNERS AND OTHER MOTORIST ON THE ROAD A RECALL MUST BE MADE BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED SHAME ON CHEVY FOR SELLING SUCH A LOW QUALITY VEHICLE. *TR

AFTER RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, WITHIN A FEW MILES, THE POWER STEERING FAILED AGAIN. THE CONTACT HAS NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000.
I HAVE A 2005 CHEVY COBALT SS WITH ONLY 29K MILES. JUST TODAY, MYSELF, MY WIFE, AND BOTH OF MY CHILDREN WERE COMING HOME ON THE INTERSTATE, AND THE POWER STEERING WARNING POPS ON THEN SUDDENLY WE HAVE NO STEERING AT ALL. MY ONLY OPTION WAS TO STOP COMPLETELY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY AND RESTART THE CAR 2 OR 3 TIMES JUST TO GET IT OFF THE ROAD. THE WARNING HAS COME ON BEFORE WITH JUST ME IN THE CAR, AND THE STEERING LOCKED UP. I JUST TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND IT WORKED LONG ENOUGH TO GET HOME, BUT NOW IT IS TO THE POINT TO WHERE RESTARTING IT DOESN'T WORK ANY MORE. I ALSO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE POWER LOCKS LOCKING AND UNLOCKING THEMSELVES CONSTANTLY WHILE I'M DRIVING, AND EVEN AFTER THE VEHICLE IS PARKED. I CAN NOT LEAVE IT UNATTENDED BECAUSE IT UNLOCKS ITSELF. I STARTED TO HAVE THE PROBLEM SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING IT IN 2007, BUT THE WARRANTY EXPIRED, ITS 63,000 MILES, AND CANNOT AFFORD TO FIX IT. THIS SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE IN A CAR LESS THAN 5 YEARS OLD. SO IT APPEARS THIS CAR IS ALREADY ON IT'S SECOND MOTOR. I HAVE NEVER TAKEN IT IN, AS THE PREVIOUS REPLACEMENT COST OVER $1000, AND COULDN'T AFFORD THAT.
