TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL VIBRATION IN THE STEERING AND THE VEHICLE BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V073000 (STEERING). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
2006 COBALT HAS BEEN SHOWING THE POWER STEERING DISPLAY ON THE DASH LIGHT AND WHEN IT DOES THE ENGINE STARTS HESITATING AND ROUGH IDLE I READ A FEW MINUTES AGO ABOUT A RECALL OF MAYBE THE SAME SITUATION A FEW YEARS BACK BUT DIDN'T KNOW THAT AT THE TIME AND DIDN'T THINK THAT MY COBALT WOULD HAVE THAT PROBLEM
MY DOOR LOCK KEEP LOCKIMG AND UNLOCKING RANDOMLY ON ITS OWN.. DOSE IT WORSE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY WAS STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND COULD NOT BE REMOVED. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT HAD TO LEAVE THE VEHICLE UNLOCKED OVERNIGHT. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
CAR STOPPED 01/2019, REPAIRED ($400) 2/11/2019: STILL NOT WORKING: CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, POWER STEERING LIGHT ON, KEY GETS STUCK IN IGNITION, ALTERNATOR REPLACED, BATTERY REPLACED, CODES: ISO 9141, LWP2000, LINK ERROR. I NEED THIS CAR FOR WORK AND CHEVY DEALER SAYS MY VIN NOT ATTACHED TO RECALL NOTICES. PLEASE ATTACH RECALLS TO THIS VIN

AFTER WARMING UP THE VEHICLE AND PROCEEDING TO DRIVE, THE POWER STEERING MALFUNCTIONED AND THE VEHICLE WAS DIFFICULT TO STEER. IN ADDITION, THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR WAS FLASHING. THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN AROUND AND GO BACK HOME. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 143,000.
IN MOTION ON PUBLIC STREET. STOPPED AT SATOP SIGN, CAR DIED, WOULD NOT DRIVE FORWARD. DROVE HOME IN REVERSE. "POWER STEERING" FAILED. NO POWER STEERING FLUID USED IN THIS CAR.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,576.
TAKATA RECALL THE CAR WILL RANDOMLY LOSE POWER STEERING. THE POWER STEERING MESSAGE WILL DISPLAY ON THE DASH AND THE STEERING WHEEL WILL LOCK UP. YOU WILL THEN HEAR A CLICKING SOUND AS IF THE TRANSMISSION IS GOING BAD. THE CAR WILL JERK FORWARD REALLY HARD AND AS YOU BRING THE CAR TO A STOP, THE CAR WILL SHAKE AND YOU WILL HEAR ALL KINDS OF RATTLING. THE GAUGES ON THE DASH WILL ALL JUMP UP & DOWN! AND YOU HAVE NO IDEA OF THE SPEED YOU'RE GOING. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON AS WELL AS THE CAR WITH THE LOCK LIGHT. SOMETIMES THE STEERING WHEEL WILL UNLOCK ITSELF BUT YOU WILL ALSO HAVE ALL OF THE OTHER SYMPTOMS. AS I STATED EARLIER IT HAPPENS RANDOMLY SO I HAVE TO CONSTANTLY PULL OVER TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT! IF YOU ATTEMPT TO KEEP DRIVING IT THERE'S A CHANCE THE CAR WILL COMPLETELY SHUT OFF AND YOU WILL LOSE CONTROL OF THE GAS PEDAL AND BRAKE PEDAL. I CONTACTED GENERAL MOTORS AND THEY STATED THE CAR HAD ALREADY BEEN FIXED AND I GOT IT AFTER THE WARRANTY SO IT'S ALL IN MY HANDS. WHY DOES THE CUSTOMER HAVE TO LITERALLY PAY FOR THE MISTAKES OF THE COMPANY I'VE LITERALLY READ THOUSANDS OF REVIEWS OF PEOPLE HAVING THESE SAME ISSUES. IT'S AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CAR!! AND WE NEED TO BE COMPENSATED. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY, IN MOTION, ON THE STREET, AND ON THE HIGHWAY.
LOSS OF POWER STEERING DURING DRIVING
WHILE DRIVING ON EXPRESSWAY, CAR WENT DEAD> HAD TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY STOP. POWER STEERING WENT OUT, BUT AFTER RESTARTING THE CAR IT WAS OK. IT KEEPS HAPPENING OFF AND ON- ON OCCASIONS. I KEPT SMELLING GAS, TOOK IT TO CAR REPAIR SHOP WAS TOLD I COULD NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE, WAS TOLD THE GAS TANK HAD TO BE REPLACED OR WHATEVER THE PART INSIDE THE GAS TANK. NOTE: WHEN THE POWER STEERING PROBLEM ARRIVED I WAS LEAVING GOING TO WORK. I STARTED THE CAR BUT THE STEERING WAS HARD TO TURN SO I PULLED BACK INTO PARKING SPACE AND TURNED OFF THE ENGINE. I RESTARTED AFTER A FEW MINUTES-WAS ABLE TO STEER OK. UPON SMELLING GAS THIS WENT ON FOR SERVAL DAYS. I THOUGHT IT WAS FUMES FROM OTHER CARS. I WOULD SMELL GAS WHILE DRIVING IT. ONE DAY AS I PULLED UP TO WORK I GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND NOTICED SOMETHING WET NEXT TO MY FRONT TIRE. I COULD SMELL GAS FUMES. I TOOK IT TO REPAIR SHOP THE NEXT DAY. SHOP TOLD ME THE CAR COULD HAVE CAUGHT ON FIRE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,071.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE PARKING THE VEHICLE IN THE DRIVEWAY, THE CONTACT FORGOT TO PLACE THE SHIFTER INTO PARK AND REMOVED THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE WHILE IN GEAR, BUT IT FAILED TO START. THE CONTACT NOTICED THE VEHICLE WAS STILL IN GEAR AND PLACED THE GEAR SHIFTER INTO PARK. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE, BUT IT FAILED TO START. ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO ESTLE CHEVROLET (LOCATED AT 1515 N CLINTON ST, DEFIANCE, OH 43512, (419) 785-8015), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
THE POWER STEERING FAILS SPECIALLY RIGHT AFTER YOU START UP IT'S HARD TO TURN. THEN SOMETIMES WHEN YOU'RE GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND MAKE IT TURN IT GETS HARD TO TURN ALL OF A SUDDEN WHICH COULD POSSIBLY LEAD TO A WRECK. SO FAR WE HAVE NOT BEEN IN A WRECK JUST A COUPLE OF CLOSE CALLS.
THE CAR WAS STARTED IN A PARKING LOT THERE WAS A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING WITH A DASH BOARD WARNING SHOWING AN ISSUE WITH POWER STEERING WHILE THE CAR WAS STILL STATIONARY. THE CAR WAS DRIVEN HOME THE CAR WAS VERY HARD TO MANEUVER TURNING OR CHANGING LANES AT LOW SPEEDS. AFTER PARKING THE CAR IT SAT FOR TWO HOURS. THE CAR WAS STARED THE WARNING LIGHT DID NOT COME ON AND THE POWER STEERING OPERATED CORRECTLY. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN SINCE. GENERAL MOTORS HAD A RECALL 10V073000 CONCERNING THIS ISSUE IN 2010 MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE POWER STEERING SUDDENLY FAILED AND CAUSED THE STEERING WHEEL TO BECOME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN IN EITHER DIRECTION. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE POWER STEERING MESSAGE CAME ON THE DASH, AFTERWARDS THE SPEEDOMETER STARTED TO MALFUNCTION AND THE CAR BEGAN TO SHAKE AS IF IT WANTED TO GO OFF. WITH SOME DIFFICULTY I WAS ABLE TO GET OFF THE HIGHWAY SAFELY BUT HAD TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE AND THEN RESTART THE CAR IN ORDER FOR THE MESSAGE TO GO OFF AND THE CAR TO DRIVE NORMAL ONCE AGAIN.
TAMARA RECALL I HAVE A FUEL LEAK AND IT IS SPILLING OUT AT MY RESIDENCE WHEN I STARTED SMELLING GAS.W HEN I DROVE IT TO WORK GAS WAS SPILLING OUT LIKE WATER.
FUEL LINES CORRODED THROUGH LEAKING ENOUGH GAS THAT A PUDDLE WOULD FORM UNDER THE VEHICLE BY THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE WHEN STOPPED. WHEN TOWED TO THE DEALER THE FUEL STARTED LEAKING BY ONLY TURNING THE KEY TO THE ON POSITION WITHOUT STARTING THE CAR.
I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AND MY POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON AND IT WAS TOUGH TO STEER UNTIL THE LIGHT WENT OUT . IT HAPPENED TWICE, ONCE DRIVING STRAIGHT AND ONCE TURNING ONTO A SIDE ROAD. I KNOW THAT THIS IS A RECALL ON 2006 COBALT, BUT I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED MY CAR WAS INVOLVED IN THIS. WHEN I RUN MY VIN NUMBER ON THIS SITE, IT STATES THAT MY CAR HAS NO RECALLS ON IT. HOWEVER, I HAVE HAD A COUPLE OF RECALLS ON MY CAR WHICH WERE REPAIRED. BUT THIS WAS NOT ONE OF THEM.

A DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 96,000.
THERE IS A TERRIBLE GAS FUME SMELL FROM INSIDE THE CAR. IT IS STRONGER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHERE THE FUEL TANK IS. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ALSO ON, AGAIN. THIS HAPPENED AROUND 125,500 MILES.
WITHOUT ANY WARNING OR SYMPTOMS, MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT AS I WAS MAKING A TURN. IT STARTLED ME AND CAUSED ME TO HIT A CURB. LUCKILY, IT WAS A SLOW TURN AND I WAS NOT DRIVING VERY FAST. I NOW HAVE NO POWER STEERING.
VEHICLE KEEPS STALLING AND SHUTTING DOWN WHEN TURNING OR A SPEED BUMP. WAS INFORMED IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP. *TR
VEHICLE DEVELOPED AT RATTLING NOISE IN THE STEERING COLUMN WHEN DRIVING OVER ROUGH ROAD SURFACES. I BELIEVE IT IS RELATED TO A PLASTIC GEAR INSIDE THE COLUMN THAT OTHERS ON THE INTERNET HAVE DESCRIBED. RECENTLY IT HAS DEVELOPED INTO A VERY LOUD RATTLE ACCOMPANIED BY A LOUD KNOCKING NOISE THAT IS HEARD AND FELT IN THE STEERING WHEEL ONLY WHEN BRAKING MODERATELY. LIGHT OR HEAVY BRAKING SEEM TO NOT CAUSE THIS, SO FAR. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE PROBLEM MAY EVENTUALLY RESULT IN THE FAILURE COMPLETELY OF THE STEERING COLUMN. THIS WOULD RESULT IN THE INABILITY FOR THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING MOTOR TO ASSIST IN TURNING THE WHEEL, AND THUS THE LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE CAR. OR I AM AFRAID IT COULD RESULT IN THE COMPLETE LOSS OF STEERING ALL TOGETHER.

INTERMITTENT LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND REDUCED POWER WHILE DRIVING. THE CAR WILL DRIVE FINE AND THE NEXT YOU START IT UP ALL THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS COME ON AND THE POWER STEERING LIGHT COME ON AND THE GAUGES START JUMPING

NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 105,000.

'TAKATA RECALL' MY MOTHER'S COBALT HAS STALLED ON HER MANY TIMES AT STOPLIGHTS AND ALMOST CAUSED ACCIDENTS BECAUSE WHEN THE CAR MAKES A STOP AT A STOPLIGHT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND POWER STEERING AND EVERYTHING GOES OUT AND THE KEY WON'T TURN. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS CAR TO DRIVE IN PLEASE PUT A RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE, SHE IS AN OLDER WOMAN AND IT ISN'T SAFE FOR ANYONE TO DRIVE AT THIS POINT. ONE OF THE ALMOST ACCIDENT HAPPENED ON A CITY STREET AND SHE ALMOST WAS REAR ENDED SINCE SHE COULDN'T MOVE IN TIME AND THE CAR GOES OUT AT ANY MOMENT IT WANTS TO.

THE CONTACT FOUND ON THE INTERNET THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS INVESTIGATING THE POWER STEERING FAILURE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

THE CONTACT POWERED OFF THE ENGINE. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO STEER AND DRIVE HOME. THE FAILURE RECURRED WHILE TURNING INTO THE GARAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. I WAS DRIVING MY CAR AND I NOTICED A STRONG FUEL ODOR COMING FROM MY CAR. I PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT. LEFT THE CAR RUNNING AND SAW A HUGE PUDDLE OF FUEL DRIPPING DOWN ONTO THE GROUND FROM THE TOP OF THE FUEL TANK. ONE OF THE LINES RIGHT AT THE FITTING INTO THE FUEL PUMP IS CRACKED. THEY HAVE THIS ALREADY RECALLED, BUT ONLY IN 15 STATES AND MINE ISN'T ONE OF THEM. I WANT CHEVY TO ISSUE A 50 STATE RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE. MY CAR COULD OF CAUGHT FIRE AND I COULD OF DIED. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE. A YEAR AGO I HAD TO REPLACE THE FUEL LINES FROM THE FUEL FILTER TO THE FUEL RAIL IN THE ENGINE BECAUSE THE METAL TUBING RUSTED OUT AND CRACKED. THEY NEED TO BE STAINLESS STEEL NOT POT METAL. THEIR IS NO RECALL ON THOSE FUEL LINES, BUT I READ LOTS OF COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME ISSUE. I DON'T HAVE ANY PHOTOS ONLY VIDEO OF IT DRIPPING.
I ALREADY HAD A RECALL ON THE FUEL PUMP OR MODULAR AND THEN ON THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS ALWAYS BEEN ON. THEY COULDN'T GET IT TO GO OFF EVEN WHEN THEY DID THOSE REPAIRS, THEN ONE DAY THE TURN SIGNALS STOPPED TURNING OFF AFTER MAKING A TURN. THE NEWEST PROBLEM AND THE SCARIEST ONE TO ME IS NOW A GAS LEAK. I WENT OUT AND STARTED MY CAR, STARTED TO REVERSE AND THEN SMELLED A STRONG ODOR OF GAS. I STOPPED AND NOTICED MY GAS GAUGE ACTUALLY GOING DOWN. SO I SHUT THE CAR OFF HURRIED UP AND GOT MY KIDS OUT AND THEN SAW THE GAS POURING ON THE ROAD FROM UNDER MY CAR. I CAN'T BELIEVE THE PROBLEMS THAT I'VE HAD WITH THIS CAR. CHEVY NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THESE PROBLEMS. IT'S THEIR CHEAP MISTAKES. THE ONLY REASON I HAVE CONTINUED TO KEEP THE CAR IS BECAUSE IT BELONGED TO MY LITTLE BROTHER WHO DIED IN A TRAGIC CAR CASH WITH HIS PREGNANT FIANC AND MY FATHER. SO I HAVEN'T WANTED TO PART WITH IT. I HAVE SEEN THAT OTHERS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS AND APPARENTLY THERE WAS RECALLS FOR SOME OF THESE PROBLEMS ON OTHERS BUT NOT FOR MY VIN. HOW IS THAT RIGHT? THEY NEED TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING THIS AND THEY NEED TO FIX EVERYTHING CORRECTLY THIS TIME. I NEED HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM, I'M NOT SURE WHERE ELSE TO TURN AT THIS POINT.

TURN OFF CAR AND RESTART ALL LIGHTS ARE OFF AND SEEMS OK BUT WILL RANDOMLY HAPPEN AGAIN-- TWO TIMES IN SAME WEEK!!!! THIS IS CRAZY, AFRAID TO DRIVE VEHICLE BUT HAVE NO CHOICE CANNOT LOSE MY JOB.

I HAD NOTICED A SMELL OF FUEL COMING FROM MY VEHICLE SHORTLY AFTER PARKING THE VEHICLE, OR IF IT WAS IDLING IN ONE SPACE FOR QUITE SOME TIME. THIS SMELL OF FUEL DEVELOPED INTO A FUEL DRIP ON TO THE GROUND. RESEARCHED THE CONCERN ONLINE, AND FOUND THERE IS A RECALL OUT FOR THIS CONCERN, BUT NOT FOR THE STATE I AM CURRENTLY IN. THERE IS A "SPECIAL COVERAGE" ISSUED (BULLETIN 12191B) INSTEAD FOR MY STATE WHICH STATES I CAN HAVE THIS CONCERN FIXED FREE OF CHARGE. I TOOK IT TO A DEALER, THEY CONFIRMED I AM COVERED BY THIS SPECIAL COVERAGE. THE DEALER HAS NOW DENIED TO DO THE WORK AND FORCED ME TO PAY FOR A TOW TO A DIFFERENT DEALER TO HAVE THE CONCERN FIXED, AS THEY REFUSED TO CARRY OUT THE REPAIR.

GASOLINE LEAKING FROM THE FUEL TANK PORTS WHERE INLET AND OR OUTLET HOSES ARE CONNECTED. THE LEAK ORIGINATES FROM THE TANK CONNECTION, NOT FROM ANY SPECIFIC HOSE. IT AMOUNTS TO A GRAVITY LEAK OF FUEL FROM THE TANK WHEN IT IS FULL OR NEARLY SO. CHEVROLET HAS ISSUED SPECIAL COVERAGE #12191B TO MANAGE THE SAFETY DEFECT PRESUMABLY TO AVOID A NHTSA RECALL. MY VIN NUMBER, EVEN THOUGH IT FALLS WITHIN THE RANGE AFFECTED AND PRODUCTION TIME AND GEOGRAPHY, IS SAID TO BE NOT INCLUDED. SO WE HAVE FUEL LEAKING ONTO HOT EXHAUST PIPES INSIDE AN ENCLOSED GARAGE FROM A POORLY DESIGNED FUEL TANK AND FITTINGS. SEEMS TO BE A PR AND MONETARY EXPOSURE CHEVROLET WOULD NOT LIKE TO RISK. BUT STOCKHOLDERS RUN THE COMPANY NOW. THIS PROBLEM LIKELY ORIGINATED IN 2016 BASED ON REPORTS FROM OWNERS OF THE ENTIRE RUN OF COBALTS. THIS WILL KILL OWNERS AT SOME POINT IF IT HASN'T ALREADY.

ELECTRONIC STEERING CUTS OUT. CAR THEN HAS ONLY MANUAL STEERING RESULTING IN DANGEROUS LIMITED AND POSSIBLY DANGEROUS STEERING. THIS HAPPENS IN MOSTLY CITY DRIVING WITH SOME FREEWAY TRAFFIC . SPEEDS VARY WITH POSTED SPEEDS DEALER [JEFF SCHMIDT MIAMI S BURG OHIO.THEY CLAIM THERE IS NO RECALL OR THAT IT HAS ALREADY BEEN FIXED. THEY REPLACED THE STEERING DRIVE SHAFT. IF THE CAR IS TURNED OFF AND THEN BACK ON IT WILL SOON FAULT AGAIN.

"TAKATA RECALL" ON 3/30/18 I WAS INVOLVED IN A WRECK. I WAS TRAVELING ON A BUSY CITY STREET WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED RED. I STOPPED AND THE PERSON IN FRONT OF ME WAS DRIVING A LARGE SUV. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND TRAFFIC BEGAN TO MOVE I STARTED DRIVING. OUT OF NOWHERE WITH NO WARNING, THE DRIVER JUST STOPPED AND MY CAR RAN INTO THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE. WE BOTH STAYED IN OUR VEHICLES I CALLED 911. OFFICERS ARRIVED AND EMERGENCY SERVICES. EVEN THOUGH HARDLY ANY DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE SUV, MY CAR SUSTAINED A LOT OF DAMAGE TO THE HOOD AND BUMPER OF MY CAR. THE AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. I THOUGHT MY CAR WAS TOTALED BY LOOKING AT IT. I WAS ABLE TO HAVE MOST OF MY CAR REPAIRED OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE I HAD LIABILITY ONLY AT THE TIME. THE PASSENGER IN FRONT OF ME AFTER GIVING INFORMATION TO THE RESPONDERS WAS ABLE TO DRIVE AWAY, I WAS NOT. I'VE ALSO HAD ANOTHER ACCIDENT WHERE THE AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY IN 2014. I AM CONCERNED THAT I MIGHT BE IN ANOTHER ACCIDENT THAT COULD BE LIFE-THREATENING AND THE AIRBAGS WON'T WORK. I CONTACTED GM ABOUT MY CONCERNS REGARDING THE AIRBAGS AND NOTHING WAS DONE TO HAVE MY AIRBAGS CHECKED. I WAS ABLE TO HAVE THE SWITCH CHANGED WHEN THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THAT. I HOPE BY SHARING MY EXPERIENCE WITH YOU SOMETHING CAN BE DONE TO HAVE MY AIRBAGS CHECKED AND GIVE ME A SENSE OF SECURITY WHEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE.
