I SMELT GAS VERY STRONGLY AND WAS COMING OUT OF TOP OF GAS TANK. I TOOK IT TO WEEKS TIRES,1883 HICKMAN AVE, ELBA, ALABAMA,36323... (334)897-2270. UPON TAKING IT TO THEM I WAS SHOWN THE HOLE IN THE FUEL LINE ON THE FUEL PUMP. I HAVE NOTICED THE RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE IN OTHER STATES. I HAD TO PAY $543.70 FOR PARTS AND LABOR.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE SHOOK INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE FRONT BUSHINGS, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, STEERING COLUMN, AND THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE LOWER CONTROL ARMS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
THE BOTH FRONT SPEAKER QUIT WORKING. THAT THE TURN SIGNAL CHIME DID NOT WORK EITHER THIS AFTER TAKE MI CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP CAUSE SOMETHING ABOUT POWER STEERING RECALL
THE VEHICLE LOST POWER STEERING TODAY IN TRAFFIC. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THE POWER STEERING RECALL WAS PERFORMED I'M MARCH OF 2011. I HAD THE VEHICLE IN FOR A KNOCKING NOISE PREVIOUS TO THIS DATE (2007). NOTHING WAS EVER FOUND. I FOUND OUT TODAY THAT THE KNOCKING WAS RELATED TO THE POWER STEERING. I IGNORED THE KNOCKING BECAUSE I CANT AFFORD FOR THE DEALERSHIP TO FIND NOTHING. THIS IS A RECALL THAT WAS NEVER FULLY CORRECTED. I FEEL AS THOUGH GM IGNORED THE REAL ISSUE. I STILL HAVE KNOCKING NOISE AND NOW, LOSS OF STEERING. *TR
VEHICLE LOSES POWER STEERING AT SLOW SPEEDS AND AT A STOP CAN NOT STEER AT ALL FOR A MIN THEN IT RE ENGAGES BUT THEN IS STIFF. SEEMS INTERMITTENT, BUT SEEMS AS IT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED. *TR
MY CAR HAD SMELLED OF GASOLINE FOR APPROXIMATELY 1 WEEK. I HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED AND I HAD TO REPLACE MY FUEL PUMP MODULE ASSEMBLY. IT HAD LEAKING AND CRACKED LINES. I HAVE RESEARCHED ONLINE AND DISCOVERED RECALLS FOR THIS SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE AND WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF ANY POSSIBLE PROBLEM. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A CATASTROPHE FOR MY FAMILY. I HAVE CONTACTED GM AND I AM TRYING TO GET REIMBURSED FOR THE REPAIRS TO MY VEHICLE. *TR

THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL MODULE WAS LEAKING AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
SEATBELT WILL NOT BUCKLE. HUSBAND HAD TO SLIDE OUT UNDER THE SEATBELT AND WE CANNOT GET IT UNSTUCK. *TR
THE AIRBAG MAINTENANCE LIGHT CAME ON IN THE CAR, TOOK CAR TO GM DEALER AND STATED THAT THERE WAS BROKEN WIRE IN THE PASSENGER SIDE SEATBELT RETRACTOR. DEALER HAD TO REPLACE RETRACTOR AND CLEAR CODE. HAVING HARD TIME UNDERSTANDING HOW THIS IS NOT SAFETY RELATED AND WHY I AM HAVING TO PAY OUT OF POCKET TO FIX THIS. THIS PART DOES NOT HARDLY MOVE AND SHOULD BE DESIGNED TO MOVE SO MANY REVOLUTIONS. MY OPINION THIS IS A FLAW IN THE DESIGN AND SHOULD BE COVERED BY GM. *TR
I NOTICED A STRONG GAS ODOR. WHEN I LOOKED UNDER THE CAR, IT WAS DRIPPING GASOLINE ONTO THE MUFFLER HEAT SHIELD AND ONTO THE PAVEMENT. I LOOKED ON THE NHTSA WEBSITE AND SEE THAT CERTAIN CHEVY COBALTS ARE UNDER RECALL FOR A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL PUMP CRACKING AND LEAKING. MY CAR IS EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE ONES UNDER RECALL, THE FUEL PUMP CRACKED CAUSING THE LEAK. WHEN I CONTACTED GENERAL MOTORS, I WAS TOLD SORRY YOUR VIN # IS NOT UNDER RECALL. I AM NOT HAPPY THAT MY CAR HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE RECALLED CARS BUT I AM STUCK PAYING THE BILL FOR A NEW FUEL PUMP. THIS VEHICLE SHOULD BE RECALLED ALONG WITH THE REST. *TR

THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A FRACTURE ON THE FILLER ASSOCIATED WITH THE FUEL TANK AND, AS A RESULT, THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V419000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,300.

COBALT WILL RANDOMLY DISPLAY CAR LOCK SYMBOL AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON THE DASH. THE GAUGES ON THE DASH (SPEEDOMETER, GAS, ETC.) BEGIN TO FLASH BACK AND FORTH, AND ERROR MESSAGES COME UP SAYING "NO FUEL", "POWER STEERING" AND ROTATE BETWEEN THE TWO. WHILE THE CAR IS DOING THIS, IT BECOMES HARD TO ACCELERATE AND THE CAR SURGES RANDOMLY. IT'S HAPPENED FREQUENTLY, AND WE HAVE TAKEN THE CAR IN TO SEVERAL DIFFERENT MECHANICS, ALL WHO CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHAT IS CAUSING THE ISSUE. WE HAVE REPLACED THE MAIN COMPUTER, AND STILL ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AS I CANNOT SEE HOW FAST I AM GOING WHEN THE GAUGES START TO GO CRAZY, AND THE CAR WILL BEGIN TO THINK IT'S OUT OF GAS, EVEN ON A FULL TANK. WE HAVE HAD SO MANY ISSUES WITH CHEVROLET CARS OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS THAT WE NO LONGER WISH TO PURCHASE FROM THEM. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF AND THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE STEERING CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO A PARKED VEHICLE. DURING THE INCIDENT, THE DRIVER SUFFERED A BACK INJURY. THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER SUFFERED A NECK AND BACK INJURY AND THE REAR PASSENGER SEAT OCCUPANT SUSTAINED A HEAD AND RIGHT SIDE INJURY. ALL OCCUPANTS RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY A FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.

MY HEAD LIGHTS WILL NOT GO OFF UNLESS I UNPLUG MY BATTERY, AND MY SIGNAL LIGHT WON'T GO OFF THE CHAVY DEALER CLAIMS NOT TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON WITH IT UNLESS I PAY THEM $200 ,FIRST. ITS BEEN ABOUT 30 DAYS NOW THAT THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON. *TR
THE CAR WAS IN FOR A RECALL FOR THE POWER STEERING ASSIST MOTOR IN 2011, AFTER DRIVING THE CAR FOR ABOUT 20,000 MILES THE POWER STEERING KEPT GOING OUT WHILE DRIVING. NOT ONLY IS THIS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, BUT ALSO SCARY WHILE DRIVING. CONSIDERING THE POWER STEERING ASSIST MOTOR WAS SUPPOSED TO BE REPLACED UNDER RECALL AND I AM STILL HAVING PROBLEMS I WOULD GUESS THAT SHORTCUTS OR DEFECTIVE PARTS WERE USED DURING THE RECALL REPAIR. I WAS BACKING UP OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY TO LET ANOTHER CAR OUT AND AS SOON AS I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE THE CAR MADE THE CHIME NOISE AS IF IT WAS TELLING ME TO PUT ON MY SEATBELT SECONDS LATER POWER STEERING WAS FLASHING ON THE DASHBOARD THE RPM GAUGE WAS JUMPING, THE FUEL GAUGE WAS JUMPING BACK AND FORTH, LOW FUEL BLINKING ON DASHBOARD WITH FULL TANK OF GAS, STEERING WHEEL VERY HARD TO TURN, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON, SECURITY LOCK LIGHT IS ON, TRANSMISSION CLICKS WHEN SHIFTING. CALLED THE DEALER I FINANCED THE CAR FROM HE TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO A SHOP CALLED PRECISION AUTO SERVICES HE COULDN'T FIGURE OUT PROBLEM SAID MOST LIKELY IT WAS A COMPUTER ISSUE SO I CALLED GM CUSTOMER SERVICE TO INFORM WHAT WAS GOING ON THEY HAD THE CAR TOWED TO BOB JOHNSON CHEVROLET AND THEY DID A RECALL ON THE IGNITION SWITCH ALSO SAID THERE WAS A BROKEN SHIFT CABLE INSTALLED A NEW CABLE, THEY ALSO HAD TO REPLACE SERPENTINE BELT. AFTER ALL THAT I PICK UP CAR AND MAKE PAYMENT A WEEK AND A HALF LATER CAR DOES THE SAME THING. I CALL AND EXPLAIN TO SERVICE ASSISTANT MANAGER HE SAYS THAT HE DIDN'T CHECK FOR POWER STEERING AFTER I EXPLAINED WAS THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF HAVING THE CAR LOOKED AT LONG STORY SHORT HE GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND SO I THOUGHT TO LOOK ELSEWHERE I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER SHOP WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED FREE OF CHARGE HE SAID THAT THERE WERE LOTS OF CODES ON MY CAR. BUT THE CAR WAS BACK TO NORMAL AFTER DIAGNOSIS THEN ABOUT 3 WEEKS LATER SAME PROBLEM TOOK IT BACK HE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT WHOEVER DISCONNECTED A REMOTE STARTER ON MY CAR DIDN'T DO IT PROPERLY CAUSING THE MODULES IN THE CAR TO NOT COMMUNICATE. I PAID TO HAVE THAT REPAIRED 2 WEEKS LATER SAME PROBLEM NOW MECHANIC TELLS ME ITS TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WHICH COSTS ALMOST $500 WHICH IS OVER MY BUDGET. I'M MAKING PAYMENTS ON SOMETHING THAT I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DRIVE TO AND FROM WORK SAFE AND COMFORTABLY. PLEASE HELP! *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A PRIVATE YARD. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED HEAD TRAUMA THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. MY STEERING WHEEL GET LOCK WHEN I WAS DRIVING AT LOWEST SPEED AND ALSO A STEERING SIGNAL APPEAR IN MY DASHBOARD. *TR
CAR JUST TURNED OFF WITH NO POWER, WHILE BACKING FROM DRIVEWAY. COULD NOT STOP THE VEHICLE AND RAN OVER MY BOYFRIENDS FOOT. TWO NEIGHBORS WERE ABLE TO STOP MY VEHICLE SINCE WASN'T GOING FAST. NO WARNING. VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESTART. JUST PASSED ANNUAL INSPECTION AND ALWAYS FOLLOWED MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT MY BOYFRIEND INJURED HIS FOOT AND WANTS TO FILE A CLAIM WITH MY INSURANCE.IM TRYING TO TALK HIM OUT OF IT BECAUSE I DON'T FEEL I WAS AT FAULT AND I DON'T WANT MY RATES TO INCREASE. CHEVY CORP SHOULD RESOLVE THIS ISSUE BEFORE SOMEONE DIES. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE CHEVY DEALER AND THEY WANT TO REPLACE MY ENGINE AT MY COST. $3800. *TR
I PURCHASE THE CAR FROM SCHOFIELD IN 2008 IT HAS HAD TWO RECALLS ONE ON THE GAS TANK AND ANOTHER ON THE STEERING COLUMN NOW IT IS ACTING UP EVERYDAY I THINK IT IS DUE TO THE COLD WEATHER AND IT HAS TO BE A MANUFACTURING ISSUE THE WARNING LIGHTS BEGAN TO FLASH ON COME ON THE GAUGES GO UP AND DOWN LIKE CRAZY THE GAS HAND GOES UP AND THEN BELOW EMPTY THE CAR LOSES POWER THE POWER STEERING LIGHT COMES ON THE BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON IT BEGINS TO MAKE A CLICKING NOISE AND IT JERKS AS IT DRIVES I AM SO AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR BECAUSE OF THESE DEFECTS, I TOOK THE CAR INTO SCOFIELD A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG BUT IT IS OBVIOUS THERE ARE THINGS THAT ARE WRONG WHEN I TRIED TO TURN A CORNER ITS LIKE THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT I HAVE THE PAPERS FROM SCHOFIELD I NEED SOMEONE TO HELP ME PLEASE I DON'T WANT TO BE ANOTHER VICTIM OF THIS CAR. *TR

THE SPEAKERS WERE REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATIONS OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 10V073000 (STEERING) AND THE STEERING COLUMN WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, AFTER THE REPAIR WAS COMPLETED THE STEERING STARTED TO LOCK UP DUE TO POWER STEERING FAILURE. THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 173,000.
MY CHEVROLET COBALT 2007 WAS CALLED FOR A RECALL, EVEN THOUGH MY CAR WAS RUNNING PERFECTLY I DECIDED TO TAKE IT TO THE CLOSEST CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP TO ME. AT THE DEALERSHIP THEY CHANGED THE POWER STEERING WHEEL, THE IGNITION AND ALL THAT HAD TO DO WITH IT, AND TO MY SURPRISE THEY ALSO CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP. WHEN I RECEIVED MY CAR FROM THE DEALER I NOTICED A FUEL ODOR COMING FROM MY CAR, I DID NOT PAY ATTENTION TO IT BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS NORMAL SINCE THEY CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP. AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS I TOOK MY CAR BACK SINCE I NOTICED A BIG GAS LEAK ON THE DRIVEWAY WHEN I MOVED MY CAR. THE DEALERSHIP CHECKED THE CAR AND SAID IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RECALL AND THAT THE FILLER NECK WAS CRACKED, AND THAT I MIGHT HAVE POSSIBLY HIT MY CAR AND CRACKED THE FILLER NECK. I WAS VERY FRUSTRATED AND I TALKED TO MANAGERS AND EVERYTHING, BUT THE ONLY RESPONSE I GOT WAS THAT THEY WILL NOT COVER IT AND THAT I WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. AFTER CALLING GENERAL MOTORS AND CHEVROLET, THEY TOLD ME THAT I HAD TO PAY $500 DOLLARS FOR THE REPAIR AND THAT THEY WILL COVER THE REST. I WAS VERY UPSET AND FRUSTRATED, BUT I AM A COLLEGE STUDENT AND I WORK, SO I NEEDED MY CAR. I PAID THE $500 DOLLARS OUT OF CREDIT CARDS BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE THE MONEY FOR A MISTAKE THAT THEY MADE AND PEOPLE AT THE DEALERSHIP EVEN TOLD ME THEY DID BECAUSE THEY SAID THAT THE FILLER NECK IS PLASTIC AND THAT WITH THE WEATHER CHANGES IN HOUSTON WHEN "HANDLED" CAN CRACK EASILY. I THOUGHT IT WAS A TOTAL FRAUD AND I WANT MY $500 DOLLARS BACK AND ALSO THE FEE THEY CHARGED TO CHECK IT WHICH WAS ALMOST $85 DOLLARS. *TR
AT 8:30AM ON DEC 15TH WITH THE TEMP OUTSIDE OF 40 DEG. I TURNED LEFT ONTO AN ACCELERATION RAMP AND PUT THE ACCELERATOR ALMOST ALL THE WAY DOWN. I LET UP OFF THE ACCELERATOR TO YIELD TO ANOTHER CAR ON THE RAMP. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE AND WOULD NOT SLOW UPON BRAKING HARD. I STOMPED THE PEDAL TWICE AS IF IT WERE STUCK. THIS HAD NO IMPACT UPON MY UNCONTROLLED RUNAWAY ACCELERATION. I SHUT THE KEY OFF AND LUCKILY THE OTHER CAR YIELDED TO ME UPON HEARING MY MOTOR REV UP. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND STOP SAFELY. I RESTARTED THE CAR AND DID NOT HAVE ANY FURTHER DIFFICULT MAKING TO MORE 10 MILE ROUND TRIPS. THE IGNITION KEY HAS BEEN CHANGED PER RECALL AND THE POWER STEERING HAS BEEN DONE ALSO ON RECALL. HOWEVER THE POWER STEERING DID FAIL ABOUT 1 MONTH AGO DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT ALSO HAD BEEN RECALLED. AT THAT TIME I REPLACED THE BATTERY BECAUSE IT WAS ALMOST 9 YEARS OLD. NO FURTHER POWER STEERING PROBLEMS. I HAVE ALSO HAD DIFFICULTY WITH THE FLOOR SHIFT STICKING AFTER PARKING.. *TR
SINCE DECEMBER 2014, MY CAR STARTED FLASHING THE AIRBAG LIGHT. THE DEALER SAYS THAT AIRBAG IS COILED AND TO REPLACE IS $1,600.00. I CAN'T AFFORD THAT. THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS NOW ON ALL THE TIME (NO MORE FLASHING). I LOOKED UP ONLINE AND THERE WERE A LOT OF COMPLAINT ON CHEVROLET CARS AND AIRBAG PROBLEMS. SEVERAL MONTHS AGO GOT NOTICE THAT IGNITION LOCK WAS "RECALLED" BY GM. SHORTLY AFTER THAT I NOTED THE "SERVICE AIR BAG" LIGHT WAS ON PERIODICALLY. STOPPED AT GM DEALER AND WAS ADVISED THAT PARTS WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL OCT 2014. GOT ANOTHER NOTICE THAT IT WAS TIME TO GET RECALL FIXED. I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN FOR REPLACEMENT OF IGNITION LOCK, WHICH WAS DONE ON 12/10/2014, GOT HOME AND SAW "SERVICE AIR BAG" LIGHT WAS ON. CALLED DEALER AND WAS ADVISED THAT "AIR BAG" LIGHT WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. HAVE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT FOR 17TH TO GET IT CHECKED. RECALL 14V047000 IS "AIRBAG AND ELECTRICAL" BUT IT DOESN'T COVER AIRBAG ??? I HAD TROUBLE WITH THIS DEALER YEARS AGO BUT HE IS THE CLOSEST (WITHIN 30 MILES) TO ME SO I USE HIM. *TR

2007 CHEVROLET COBALT SAFETY RECALL IGNITION SWITCH *CN THE CONSUMER WAS ONLY GIVEN ONE SET OF KEYS, WHEN THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED. THE DEALER STATED THEY WOULD ISSUE THE SECOND SET IN OCTOBER. THE CONSUMER CALLED THE DEALER IN OCTOBER, AND WAS INFORMED THERE WAS A SHORTAGE OF KEYS AND THEY DID NOT KNOW WHEN THE KEYS WOULD BE AVAILABLE. *JB
ON THE 2007 CHEVY COBALT, THE KEY GETS STUCK IN THE ACCESSORY POSITION AND CANNOT BE REMOVED. YOU MUST EITHER JUMP THE CAR OR PUSH THE SWITCH UNDER THE STEERING COLUMN TO REMOVE THE KEY. WITH THE KEY IN THE ACCESSORY POSITION, THE BATTERY DRAINS AND RENDERS THE RADIO INACTIVE. THIS ADDS TO AN ADDITIONAL SAFETY CONCERN BECAUSE THE SEATBELT CHIME AND BLINKER SOUND GO THROUGH THE RADIO AND CANNOT BE HEARD WHEN THE RADIO IS INACTIVE. CHEVY STATED THAT YOU MUST BRING IN THE CAR TO HAVE THE RADIO REPROGRAMMED FOR $130 EACH TIME THE BATTERY GOES DEAD. *TR

AFTER DRIVING MY CAR IT HAD A STRONG SMELL OF GAS SO I PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY AND FOUND A PUDDLE OF GAS IN FRONT OF THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE. I LOOKED UNDER THE CAR AND SAW THAT THE GAS LINE COMING FROM THE FUEL FILTER WAS CORRODED AND LEAKING FROM A STRAP. I WAS VERY CONCERNED BECAUSE THE EXHAUST IS ABOUT 2 INCHES AWAY FROM THIS FUEL LEAK. MY FUEL EFFICIENCY WENT FROM 34MPG HIGHWAY TO 26MPG HIGHWAY SO I KNOW I WAS LEAKING FUEL WHILE DRIVING. I TOOK MY COBALT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THAT IT WILL COST 750.00 TO FIX THE GAS LINE. MY FLEX TUBE ON THE EXHAUST SYSTEM ALSO BROKE AROUND 130000 MILES. IT'S THE PART IN BETWEEN THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND THE CAT CONVERTER. *TR
FUEL LINE LOCATED APPROXIMATELY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE VEHICLE IS LEAKING AND APPEARS TO BE RUSTED OUT. THIS FUEL LINE RUNS PARALLEL TO THE EXHAUST SYSTEM AND WITH FUEL LEAKING IS A POTENTIAL FIRE/EXPLOSION HAZARD. LOCAL DEALER TELSL ME IT WILL COST SOMEWHERE BETWEEN $700 TO $1,000 TO REPAIR. MY ONLINE RESEARCH INDICATES THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLES AND I BELIEVE THE POTENTIAL FOR FIRE SHOULD BE OF IMMEDIATE CONCERN. *TR
GAUGES GOING HAYWIRE MESSAGE FLASH OF LOW FUEL AND POWER STEERING CLICKING IN THE GEAR SHIFT HEAD LIGHT FLASHING SNATCHING WHILE SHIFTING GEARS UP OR DOWN WITH ACCELERATED OR DECREASED SPEED. AT A TURN TO PULL OFF THE ROAD POWER STEERING IS LOST AND HARD TO TURN. WHEN I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND STARTED IT AGAIN EVERY THING CLEARED UNTIL I REACHED 5 MILES FROM START OVER POINT. EVERY TIME I START THE CAR EVERYTHING IS FINE UNTIL I DRIVE IT A LITTLE. I HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM 2 YEAR AGO AND HAD IT REPAIRED @ JUPITER CHEVROLET. THEY SAID IT WAS TCM, ECM MODULE.
