Driver's side front seat belt cable braking . No incident, just noticed, contacted GM and even though there is a recall for similar problems with other models they are not interested in doing anything.
I just bought this truck. While driving it on the first day we were in stop and go traffic and I pressed the throttle and nothing happened, when I pressed it further it all of a sudden squealed tires and jumped forward causing me to almost rear end the car in front.

The contact stated that while driving at 70 MPH, the vehicle to her right lane was struck by a vehicle behind it causing the vehicle on the right lane to spin out and hit her vehicle. The contact stated her vehicle was struck on the right center of the passenger side. No air bags deployed. No warning lights were illuminated. A police report was filed. No injuries were sustained. The vehicle was not towed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to call the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 157,000.
Service airbag light appeared on dashboard. Brought it in for service and was told I need a nee passenger presence sensor module.
TRUCK SLID INTO A DITCH. WHILE DRIVING OUT IN 4-WHEEL DRIVE, ALL FOUR SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. THE TRUCK WAS NOT IN DANGER OF ROLLING OVER. I WAS DRIVING ONLY 1-3 MPH, AND THE TRUCK WAS LEANING, BUT NOT ANYWHERE NEAR TIPPING. AFTER AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT, I FINISHED GETTING OUT OF THE DITCH AND RETURNED HOME WHILE DEALING WITH LIMITED VISIBILITY (1-1/2 MILES).
THREE SERVICE CALLS TO FIX WARNING LIGHT CHECK AIR BAG. ONE TO REPLACE PASSENGER SIDE ABOVE DOOR AIR BAG TWO TO FIX THE AIRBAG CONNECTER ON TWO DRIVER SIDE AIR BAGS. THIS STARTED IN OCTOBER 2015 AND LAST ONE WAS MAY 2016. IS THIS A ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE? WHY SO MANY AIRBAG PROBLEMS IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.

A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER AND PARTIALLY REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED FIVE TIMES AND THEY DECLINED TO SEND A FIELD INVESTIGATOR TO DETERMINE WHY THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,700.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE DRIVER WAS DRIVING AT 55 MPH, THE DRIVER CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE AND THE DRIVER FRONTAL AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. AS A RESULT, THE DRIVER SUFFERED INJURIES TO THE ELBOW, THE ARMS, THE FACE, AND THE BRUISES TO THE BODY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A COLLISION CENTER WHERE THE FRONT BUMPER, THE RADIATOR, AND THE WINDSHIELD WERE REPLACED. THE AIR BAG FAILURE WAS UNDETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000.
