The incident except for by my 2015 Chevrolet Equinox has major electrical faulty ends in and timing belt changes which causes the vehicle to stall on a consumer at any time for me I was driving on a major highway or five Lanes going to work and the car decided to slow down and started shedding off thank God that I made it to the far right side on a media strip and was able get the car to safety on the knee issue but she did slow down and shut off identity media call the triple A for help and roadside assistance they came as soon as they could and then test the car to see if it was the battery or the alternator which I had put in two brand new batteries and two brand new alternators and still have both he test them all and said no he's been pulling cars off major highways that are Equinox and terrain class action lawsuit against General motors in Chevrolet due to faulty issues in the engine and they recently One cases from 2010 to 2014 although my car is a 2015 the same issue still arise my car has 85,000 miles on it when this happens and I kept up the oil change and the maintenance on the car I then in turn had the car towed to a Chevrolet dealer and turned it a diagnostic test on my car vehicle and this is what they said in my car has the same issue that is from the previous lawsuit of Equinox 2010 to 2014. Have the results are as is fun the Chevrolet GMC dealer the vehicle will not start, the problem and issues extend from the timing belt chain, valves, blown gasket, fuel pump,this is causing many major issues along with all the recalls with the 2010 and 2018 Chevrolet Equinox and Terrain. The only thing that they recommend is that the car engine needs to replacement to make consumers feel safe in their vehicles. Although my car is a 2015 I only have 85,000 miles and I continue to do all the maintenance and I was told by another mechanic that it does not have nothing to do so much as the oil change they knew that there were faulty issues with timingbelt
My vehicle has been cranking when trying to turn on. Sometimes when it does turn on, it will engage the anti theft system. It will also turn on my 4-ways, and windshield wipers other times without me triggering these buttons. Sometimes it will say that I don’t have power steering. Other times, my AC will not work. It puts me and my family at risk because if the system is continuously having issues, I worry that something bad will happen while we are driving! I saw that there are other similar complaints online for the 2015 Chevy equinox. I have no dashboard lights on, other than tire pressure light (which my tire pressure is fine, but the sensor for this has malfunctioned as well). This has been an ongoing and worsening issue since January 2024. I purchased the vehicle with no issues in December 2023.
EXCESSIVE Oil Consumption after 87,000 miles. Always had regular/up-to-date oil changes and took care of the vehicle. Had an oil change in June 2023 and in August (not may miles driven in that time frame), while driving I noticed the vehicle started to jerk...after arriving at work I checked under the hood and noticed there was NO OIL on the stick. I also added some antifreeze since I was there and it needed just a little. Purchased oil and filled it up. Two weeks later...again, no OIL on the stick. Less than 200 miles driven during this time. Now checking my oil every 3 days. October 2023, check engine light came on--took it to get checked and was told I was out of antifreeze. This was the only issue they could locate...no blown gaskets, etc. The AutoZone put antifreeze in to the level it should be and the next day I was almost empty again. This was well under 90 miles driven. There are NO WARNINGS, EXPENSIVE TO KEEP BUYING OIL AND ANTIFREEZE--RISK OF ENGINE BLOWING, BREAKING DOWN-GOD FORBID I HAVE MY CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE WITH ME. Two years ago the wipers went...heavy storm and they just all of a sudden stopped. Couldnt even see to pull over. Had my three kids with me and had to put the window down to try to see how I could pull over. I didnt know until a while later there was a recall. Numerous electrical issues....radio stops working when it wants too. Backup camera sometimes stays on while driving down the road, the driver side rear door won't unlock all the time.
Clock often has the wrong time and has to be reset but does not keep the accurate time after resetting. I found a TSB PIC6096B regarding this concern but not sure if any fix is available
Wipers stopped while using them, replaced bushing multiple times won't hold. My link radio has stoped coming on and there is no back up camera or sound not even if I have blinkers on
The HVAC actuator broke off preventing air flow from defrosting the windshield while I was driving through a snow storm. Because this piece failed my windshield was fogged over and I continually having to reach up to the windshield wiping fog off in order to see. In the conditions it was dangerous for myself and other drivers that I was unable to see clearly. The mechanic at Division Auto Clinic says he replaces these actuators all the time on GM vehicles. The vehicle was repaired (see invoice) costing me $300 to fix. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to the problem.
The contact's mother-in-law owns a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would shut-off with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle would restart soon after the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer had been notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
Driving my SUV it shut off and would not start. When I was at a red light my car would totally shut off. I finally got it started when I returned home at shut off again I had to call a tow company to take it to Winter Haven Chevrolet Center. They stated it was intake cam solenoid replaces valve 0.736 also the mechanic stated they had to perform induction system cleaning service.It's very dangerous driving my vehicle then the vehicle just shuts off and die almost caused an accident. I need to know if there is a recall I had to spend $828.51. I would appreciate if somebody would get back with me on this.
My car runs hot (even with all of my fluids). If I drive "too far" (25-30 mins) driving over 55mph while it's hot outside, my check engine light comes on, all the gauges in my car start going back and forth. A couple different alarms will go off (Service All Wheel Drive System, Service StabiliTrak, Service Park Assist) . My engine revs and my car will start jerking. Sometimes my car won't even start back up right away. My car jerks going up hills. For close to two years my radio and back up camera stopped working, and out of nowhere it started working fine. My tires often lose air. My windshield wiper motor has gone out twice.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT RAN SCAN SAID FLEX FUEL SENSOR BAD REPLACED NOW THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS BACK ON. SCAN SAYS LOW VOLTAGE IN FLEX FUEL COMPOSITION SENSOR. WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THE PROBLEM WITH THIS EQUINOX. SEEMS LIKE EVERYTIME YOU FIX ONE THING SOMETHING ELSE GO WRONG. THE RADION HAS COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING. THE HEATER RESISTOR WENT BAD REPLACED IT NOW THE BLOWER MOTOR IS BAD. THIS CAR IS A LLEMON FROM THE FRONT BUMPER TO THE REAR BUMPER.. PIECE OF JUNK. EVERYTHING HAPPENS RIGHT AFTER ONE THING OR THE OTHER IS REPAIRED....
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH IN THE RAIN, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS BECAME INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPER LINKAGE ASSEMBLY HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON ALL THE TIME. EVEN WHEN THE OIL IS CHANGED AND THEY TURN THE THE LIGHT OFF. IT WILL COME BACK ON.
PURCHASED CAR 11/2014. CAR COMPLETELY SHUT OFF TWICE BETWEEN 11/2014 AND 02/2015. HAD CAR TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. WAS TOLD COMPUTER WAS BAD AND WAS REPLACED. FROM 02/2015 - 07/2020 CAR HAS SHUT OFF OVER 50 TIMES. HAD CAR REPAIRED TO REPLACE NUMEROUS SENSORS - CAMSHAFT TO OXYGEN. CAR WOULD JUST OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING ON BUSY CITY STREETS AND INTERSTATE HIGHWAY. RECENTLY CAR SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY INTERSECTION AND I WAS ALMOST HIT. CAR SHUT OFF 2 WEEKS AGO DURING A MAJOR RAIN STORM AND THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING ON THE INTERSTATE. CAR IS NOW IN THE SHOP AND BEING TOLD THE COMPUTER MUST BE REPLACED AND WINDSHIELD LINKAGE NEED TO BE REPAIRED. TOTAL COST OF OVER $1,000.
WHILE DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE IF A STORM, THE WIPERS STOPPED IN THE UP POSITION. THIS WAS INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS, EVEN TO JUST PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. CHECKED THE FUSES AND NOTHING HAD BLOWN. CAN'T GET THEM WORKING AT ALL. HAVE SCHEDULED A VISIT TO THE DEALERSHIP, PROVIDED IT'S NOT RAINING. *TR

VEHICLE BATTERY DIES, CAR DIES. NO THEM OR REASON TO IT. IT WILL NOT START. BATTERY IS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD. TRY TO START THE VEHICLE AND NOTHING, NO INTERIOR LIGHTS RADIO, NOTHING. OTHER TIMES IT WILL LET THE INTERIOR LIGHTS COME ON AND JUST CLICKS. THIS IS AFTER THE CAR HAS SAT FOR 2-3 DAYS AND NOT DRIVING OR GOING ANYWHERE DUE TO THE CORONA VIRUS. WENT OUT THE NEXT DAY, STARTED FINE. WE EVEN TRIED JUMPING THE CAR OFF FROM ANOTHER VEHICLE AND IT WOULDN'T EVEN CLICKED IT WAS TRYING TO START. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE LAST YEAR. RESULTING IN REPLACING THE BATTERY. NOW IT'S STILL HAPPENING AND THE BATTERY IS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD. *TR
IT SEEMS THAT THE BATTERY DISCONNECTS AT RANDOM TIMES. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL TIMES THAT I GO TO START THE VEHICLE AND THE SUV IS COMPLETELY DEAD. I ALREADY CHANGED THE BATTERY AND TOOK IT TO A LOCAL SHOP BUT IT STILL HAPPENS. I FIGURED OUT THAT IF I POP THE HOOD AND WIGGLE THE BATTERY AND CABLES IT'LL START AND GO BACK TO NORMAL. WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE SUV WON'T HAVE ANY LIGHTS OR EVEN LOCK DOORS. AND WHEN IT DOES COME BACK IT'LL GO TO FACTORY TIME AND DATE. JUST RECENTLY IT HAPPENED AS I WAS COMING TO A STOP AT A GAS STATION. I'M NOT SURE IF I WAS STOPPED OR DOING LIKE 1 OR 2 MPH. BUT IT WAS DEAD EVEN BEFORE I PUT IT INTO PARK. THE DATE THIS HAPPENED IS AN ESTIMATE. NOT EXACT.
WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR QUIT WORKING AS I WAS DRIVING IN HEAVY RAIN DOWN THE HIGHWAY. DANGEROUS.

ON OF THE DEALERS, GRAFF CHEVROLET OKEMOS (1748 W GRAND RIVER AVE, OKEMOS, MI 48864), STATED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THE REPAIR WERE BACKORDERED AND WERE NOT CURRENTLY BEING MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, REPEATED WHAT THE DEALER STATED, AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WOULD SPEAK WITH THE DEALER AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CALL BACK IN A WEEK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,826.
