I PUT MY CAR IN REVERSE IT BACKED OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY FINE BUT AS I SHIFTED GEAR FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE MY ENGINE WOULD REV BUT I WOULDN'T GO ANYWHERE AND AS I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE GAS IT WOULD ROLL BACK EVEN AFTER I PUT IT IN PARK IT WOULD ACT LIKE IT WANTED TO ROLL BACK. ALSO THE WINDOW LOCKS WOULDN'T OPEN IF THE CAR WAS IN PARK AND KEY OUT OF IGNITION.....
ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON EVERY SIX OR SEVEN STARUPS AND STAYS ON FOR ABOUT SIX MORE CAR STARTS. PEP BOYS SERVICED THE ENGINE LIGHT CODE CAMSHAFT POSITION ACTUATOR SOLENOID SENSOR. THEY TESTED RESISTANCE AND NOTHING WAS OUT OF PARAMETERS AND OIL VISCOSITY WAS CORRECT. THE ISSUE IS STILL ONGOING AND EMISSIONS FOR MY VEHICLE COME UP IN JANUARY. IF I FAIL EMISSIONS AND THE ISSUE IS STILL UNRESOLVED, WHO DO I CONTACT?
THE REAR DOOR ELECTRIC DOOR LOCKS DON'T FUNCTION ALL THE TIME TO LOCK OR UNLOCK THE DOORS. OPERATION IS INTERMITTENT. I'M VERY CONCERNED WHEN CHILDREN ARE IN THE CAR. THE PROBLEM HAS EXISTED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE PULLED TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE ISSUE STARTED SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS NEEDING A FRONT END ALIGNMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE ISSUE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000.
BRAKE LIGHTS GO ON WHILE DRIVING. THEN TURN OFF WHEN YOU HIT THE BRAKES TO STOP OR SLOW DOWN. ESC COME ON WHILE THIS IS HAPPENING. DEALER STATES THEY FIXED THE RECALL BUT IT IS STILL HAPPENING. NOW AFTER WARRANTY THEY SAY ITS THE ABS MODULE
RECALL FIX FAILURE - THE RECALL FIX WAS APPLIED BY THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE 'BRAKE LIGHTS MAY OR MAY NOT RANDOMLY ILLUMINATE' ISSUE, NHTSA ACTION 13005, HOWEVER IT IS ONLY TEMPORARY. AFTER A FEW MONTHS THE IDENTICAL SYMPTOMS OCCUR AT THE SAME FREQUENCY. NO NEW SYMPTOMS ARE PRESENT AND NO PREVIOUS SYMPTOMS ARE ABSENT. THESE INCLUDE; BRAKE LIGHTS ILLUMINATING WITH NO PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, BRAKE LIGHTS TURNING OFF WHEN PRESSURE IS APPLIED TO BRAKE PEDAL (INCLUDING HOLDING THE BRAKES AT A STOP), CRUISE CONTROL FAILING TO ACTIVATE, TRACTION CONTROL TURNING OFF, ESC TURNING OFF, AND VEHICLE GEARING DOWN (AS LOW AS 3RD GEAR AT 60 MPH BEFORE INTERVENTION) TO ASSIST BY ENGINE BRAKING. MOST SYMPTOMS OCCUR AT STANDSTILL AS WELL AS CITY AND HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE DEALERSHIP'S STANCE IS THAT, ONCE A RECALL IS APPLIED, THE TICKET IS CLOSED AND IS THE VEHICLE OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO COVER THE COST OF FURTHER FIXES.
2009 CHEVY MALIBU - WE'VE BEEN HAVING ISSUE WITH THE POWER WINDOW CONTROLLERS/BUTTONS TO OPERATE FOR SEVERAL YEARS BUT HAVEN'T HAD A CHANGE TO GET THEM CHECKED. WE HAVE BEEN AVOIDING TO OPEN AND CLOSE THE WINDOWS BECAUSE THERE WERE TIMES THAT THEY WILL OPEN AND CLOSE BACK UP BUT YESTERDAY, I OPEN THE WINDOW FROM THE DRIVER SIDE AND TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES TO CLOSE IT AND DON'T HAVE ANY SUCESS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE STRUCK A DEER. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, BUT THE AIR BAG SENSOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A MINOR INJURY THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD AND WAS LATER TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER PER THE INSURANCE GUIDELINES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET, I HEARD A "POP" OR "BANG" AND THEN THE BACK RIGHT SIDE OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT COLLAPSED. SEAT IS NOW UNSTABLE AND MOVES WHILE MAKING TURNS. I'M CONCERNED ABOUT THE STABILITY IF INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
THEFT SYSTEM LIGHT IS ON AND I'M NOT ABLE TO START MY CAR. THE RADIO STILL WORKS AND ALL THE LIGHTS AND HEATER AND A/C. I TRY TO START THE CAR A FEW TIMES AND SOMETIMES IT TAKE SEVERAL TRYS TO GET THE CAR TO START. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING QUITE A BIT

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A PROGRESSING FAILURE IN WHICH THE KEY WAS TURNED OVER AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE NUMEROUS TIMES WITHOUT WARNING AND HAD TO WAIT AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME FOR THE VEHICLE TO RANDOMLY RESTART. THE CONTACT HAD NOT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V252000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, EXTERIOR LIGHTING, SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A REPAIR SHOP WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STARTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. A MECHANIC REPLACED THE STARTER AND THE KEY STILL WOULD NOT TURN OVER TO START THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,830. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
THIS IS THE MALIBU HYBRID WITH DYNAMIC BRAKING. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE: GOING UP A HILL, THE ENGINE SEEMS TO LOSE POWER, BUT I BELIEVE IT IS WORKING AGAINST THE BRAKES WHICH ARE BEING APPLIED AND RELEASED RAPIDLY. IT STARTS BUCKING SLIGHTLY THEN SEVERELY. WHEN I REACH THE TOP, I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND START COASTING AND THE BUCKING STOPS. WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKE TO PULL OVER AND STOP, IT STARTS BUCKING LIKE IT DID GOING UP THE HILL. I GET THE CAR STOPPED, PUT IT IN PARK, TURN THE ENGINE ON, PUT IT IN REVERSE, BACK UP A LITTLE, PUT IT IN DRIVE, GO FORWARD A LITTLE, AND PULL OUT IN TRAFFIC AND CONTINUED ABOUT 100 MILES TO GET HOME. DROVE INTO A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP AND A VERY EXPERIENCED HYBRID TECH SAID "NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE." HE RAN THE SCANNER AND NOTHING SHOWED UP. IT HAPPENS SO INFREQUENTLY THAT I DOUBT THE TECHNICIAN WILL EVER INCUR THE PROBLEM IF HE WERE TO RIVE THE CAR, THIS IS SERIOUS ... ONLY MY SKILLFUL HANDLING OF THE INCIDENT GOT ME OFF THE ROAD AND OUT OF THE WAY ALTHOUGH TRAFFIC WAS BLOWING BY ME. MY GUESS IS A PROBLEM IN THE DYNAMIC BRAKING (E.G WHEN YOU TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS, THE "ECO" LIGHT COMES ON AND THE GENERATOR ON THE BRAKING SYSTEM CHARGES THE 24 VOLT BATTERY.
IN DECEMBER OF 2014, A CHEVROLET DEALER PERFORMED REPAIRS TO ADDRESS NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V252000 (I HAD NOT EXPERIENCED ANY PROBLEMS RELATED TO THIS ISSUE AT THE TIME). RECENTLY I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THE SYMPTOMS RELATED TO THIS RECALL, INCLUDING THE "SERVICE ESC" AND "SERVICE TRACTION" MESSAGES, THE BRAKE PEDAL REQUIRING EXTRA PRESSURE TO GET THE VEHICLE OUT OF PARK, AND THE DISABLING OF CRUISE CONTROL. I HAVE NOT HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHECK IF THE BRAKE LIGHTS ALSO EXHIBIT THE PROBLEM DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL. THE PROBLEM HAS TRIGGERED WHILE I'M BRAKING, AS WELL AS WHEN I WAS AT HIGHWAY SPEED WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED, WITHOUT APPLYING THE BRAKES.
THERE IS A RECALL. CHEVY IS REFUSING TO HONOR BECAUSE THEY STATE I'M OVER THE MILEAGE THEY SET AS ACCEPTABLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TORQUE SENSOR AND POWER STEERING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 169,140.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND BRAKING, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE OVER 30 MPH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ACCELERATION WOULD BE DELAYED AND THE VEHICLE WOULD JERK PRIOR TO ACCELERATING FROM A COMPLETED STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WAVE PLATE HAD FRACTURED AND THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
POWER LOCKS DO NOT WORK PROPERLY ON MY 2009 CHEVY MALIBU. I CAN SOMETIMES GET DRIVER'S DOOR TO UNLOCK WITH REMOTE, BUT RARELY THE PASSENGER OR BACK DOORS. THE SWITCHES INSIDE ARE OF NO HELP EITHER. WE HAVE TO MANUALLY PULL UP ON EACH LOCK AND THEN PUSH THEM DOWN WHEN WE EXIT. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A SAFETY HAZARD FOR ME AND MY PASSENGERS IN THE CASE WE HAVE TO ENTER OR EXIT THE VEHICLE QUICKLY. THE LOCKS DO OCCASIONALLY LOCK WHEN PUT IN GEAR, BUT DO NOT ALWAYS WHEN IN PARK OR WHEN THE IGNITION IS TURNED OFF. WITH SMALL CHILDREN, THIS IS DANGEROUS. I HAVE CHANGED REMOTE BATTERIES, REPROGRAMMED REMOTES, AND HAVE CHANGED THE FUSE FOR THE LOCKS. NOTHING HAS CHANGED. WHEN TROUBLESHOOTING ONLINE, I SAW DOZENS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY SOMETHING THAT CHEVROLET NEEDS TO FIX. THEY SHOULD HAVE A RECALL IMMEDIATELY AND TAKE CARE OF THIS ISSUE. CUSTOMERS BUY VEHICLES IN GOOD FAITH THAT THE MAKERS WILL TAKE CARE OF THESE KNOWN DEFECTS. I CAN UNDERSTAND THE ORDINARY REPAIRS, BUT THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT THE MAKER IS AWARE OF AND CONTINUES TO MAKE NO CHANGES.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN AND THE VEHICLE ALSO STARTED DECELERATING WHILE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS BEING DEPRESSED. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT WAS INVOLVED IN A CRASH BUT THE DETAILS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND SHUT IT DOWN. THE VEHICLE BECAME DIFFICULT TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN A LITTLE FURTHER AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS SHUT OFF AND WOULD NOT RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. THE VEHICLE WAS SIDE SWIPED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WAS NO POLICE REPORT FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 171,000.
POWER STEERING LOSS RANDOMLY, CHEVY WILL FIX SOME MODELS BUT NOT ALL. MINE WAS COVERED IN A SPECIAL WARRANTY BUT DUE TO MILEAGE ITS NO LONGER COVERED. NOT FAIR, REPAIR IS EXPENSIVE AND SOME OTHER MODELS HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY WITH THE SAME PROBLEM.
MY DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. I CAN'T OPEN IT FROM THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. IT IS IN PARK AND I HAVE TO CLIMB THROUGH THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. THIS IS SO DANGEROUS!
I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE FUEL PUMP BECAUSE OF A LEAK IN ONE OF THE LINES THAT ARE PERMANENTLY ATTACHED TO THE PUMP. THE PUMP WAS FINE. BUT THE ONLY WAY TO CORRECT THE LEAK IN THE LINE WAS TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE PUMP. IT WAS A FIRE HAZARD AND EMITTING CARBON MONOXIDE INSIDE THE CAB OF THE CAR. THIS IS A SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW AND VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR.

WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE JERKED WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND STALLED AS THE TRACTION CONTROL, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, AND CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUSE BOX WAS MISSING SOME FUSES AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V252000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, SERVICE BRAKES). TWICE I HAVE BEEN STOPPED AND GO TO TURN THE WHEEL AND IT WON'T BUDGE. I HAVE HAD TO SHUT THE CAR OFF AND LET IT SIT FOR A MINUTE BEFORE IT WILL WORK AGAIN. MY STEERING IS ALSO VERY STIFF WHEN TURNING TO THE LEFT, BUT LOOSE WHEN TURNING TO THE RIGHT. MY POWER STEERING FLUID IS FINE. MY VIN DOESN'T SHOW UP ON THE STEERING RECALL LIST.
MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT AND ALL CHEVY DEASLERSHIPS ARE SAYING MY VIN ISNT APART OF THE RECALL SO I'D HAVE TO PAY $1300 TO GET IT FIXED. THIS ISSUE CAN CAUSE CRASHES , IVE HAD ALOST 6 ACCIDENTS SINCE THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT
MY PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT WORKS INTERMITTENTLY. I HAD THE BULB REPLACED TWO MONTHS AGO. I'D SAY IT WORKS ABOUT HALF THE TIME. THIS IS AT ALL TIMES, BOTH MOVING AND STATIONARY AND ON CITY STREETS OR HIGHWYS.
CONSISTENT PROBLEMS WITH HEADLAMPS FAILING FREQUENTLY. ALTERNATOR FINE. CAUSE IS DUE TO CORROSION OF THE WIRING AND WIRING HARNESS. MANUFACTURER DEFECT PREVENTS REPLACEMENT OF HEADLAMPS, WIRES OR WIRING HARNESSES WITHOUT REMOVING FRONT BUMPER, WHEEL AND WHEEL WELL, MAKING MAINTENANCE VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE. HEADLAMPS FAILED IN OCTOBER 2014 AND AGAIN IN MARCH OF THIS YEAR. GENERAL MOTORS UNWILLING TO HELP WITH PROBLEM. WHEN OPERATING THE VEHICLES IN LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS OR AT NIGHT, INSUFFICIENT LIGHTING MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO SPOT OTHER VEHICLES, PEDESTRIANS, ANIMALS AND OTHER ROAD HAZARDS.
2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU LS 2.4L GAS ALL DOOR LOCKS INTERMITTENTLY LOCKING OR UNLOCKING BY USING EITHER THE KEY FOB OR THE DOOR PANEL BUTTONS. THE FAILURE TO LOCK AND UNLOCK OCCURS ALMOST ALWAYS WHEN IT'S HOT OUTSIDE AND THE CAR SITS IN THE SUN, THEN THE DOORS NEED TO BE LOCKED AND UNLOCKED MANUALLY.LOCKS ARE CONTROLLED BY THE (BCM) BODY CONTROL MODULE WHICH ALREADY HAS A RECALL #13036 FOR A FAULTY CONNECTOR THAT CAUSES BRAKE LAMP MALFUNCTIONS. EXTREME SAFTY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED ASAP!!!

THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN BACK TO THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TORQUE SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BUT THE REPAIR WAS NOT PERFORMED. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS PENDING A DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 144,000.
CAR WOULD ACT LIKE BRAKES WERE PRESSED WHEN THEY WEREN'T. BRAKE LIGHTS TURN ON, CRUISE CONTROL DISENGAGES, AND THE CAR WOULD DOWNSHIFT. THIS HAPPENED WHILE THE CAR WAS IN PARK OR IN MOTION. THEN WHEN PRESSING DOWN ON THE BRAKE PEDAL GENTLY, THE BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD TURN OFF. THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED, BUT THE BRAKE LIGHTS WERE OFF. PUSHING FURTHER DOWN ON THE PEDAL WOULD MAKE THE CAR RESPOND CORRECTLY.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN 2011. ON FOUR OCCASIONS THE CAR HAS LOST POWER STEERING. IT HAPPENS WHILE TURNING. I HAVE TO PULL OVER, TURN THE ENGINE OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN IN ORDER FOR THE POWER STEERING TO FUNCTION. IT HAS HAPPENED ON A CITY STREET AS WELL AS WHILE EXITING THE HIGHWAY.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
MY POWER LOCKS WANT TO UNLOCK & LOCK WHILE I AM OPERATING THE VEHICLE. I AM CONCERNED BECAUSE BECAUSE WITH GRANDCHILDREN IF THE DOORS MALFUNCTION AS THEY HAVE BEEN THEY CAN OPEN THE DOORS WHILE I AM DRIVING. THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH THESE PARTICULAR YEARS. HAD A POWER STEERING MALFUNCTION AT 45 MPH COMING OFF OF THE HIGHWAY ONTO AN ONRAMP THAT NEARLY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. POWER STEERING WENT OUT AND SERVICE ESC LIGHT CAME ON. I'M 6 FOOT 6, 260 LBS. A SMALLER PERSON WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE AT THIS SPEED. THIS MORNING, I STARTED THE CAR AND THE POWER STEERING WAS OUT. I SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE AND STARTED IT AGAIN AND THE POWER STEERING WORKED. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT IN FEAR OF THE SAFETY OF MY CHILDREN.

A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AGO WE NOTICED THE DRIVERS SIDE POWER SEAT SEEMED TO BE MOVING AT TIMES. IT HAS SINCE BROKEN LOOSE FROM PART OF THE FRAME. AS LONG AS THE SEAT IS IN THE DOWN POSITION IT SITS KINDA STEADY. ANY ATTEMPT TO MOVE IT UP OR DOWN CAUSES IT TO BECOME DISLODGED. IT HAPPENS REGARDLESS OF THE MOTION OF THE CAR. ABOUT THE SAME TIME FRAME, THE REAR DOOR LOCKS STARTED ACTING UP. DEPENDS ON THEIR ATTITUDE OF THE DAY, THEY EITHER WILL NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK BY REMOTE OR SWITCH. ONLY WAY TO ACCESS THE REAR SEAT AREA IS TO ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN AND REACH IN FROM OUTSIDE TO UNLOCK SINCE THE LOCK BUTTON IS NOT LOCATED IN A HANDY SPOT. COULD SEE A LARGE PROBLEM IN AN ACCIDENT WITH CHILDREN IN THE BACKSEAT NEEDING TO EXIT QUICKLY. HAVE NOT REPORTED TO DEALER AS THE BLOGS HAVE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS AND STORIES THAT ARE BEING IGNORED BY THE MANUFACTURER. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR THE SERVICE TRACTION/ESC LIGHT COMES ON AND STARTES JERKING THE RPMS SHOOT UP TO 4000 AND MAKES A RATTLE NOISE. WHEN DOING THIS THE SPEED DOES NOT CHANGE TO REFLECT THE RPMS. THERE IS A 10 YEAR/120,000 MILE CAMPAIGN ISSUED BY GM CONCERNING THE 6T45 AS WELL AS THE 6T70 / 75 TRANSMISSIONS CONCERNING DEFECTIVE 3-5-R WAVE PLATES, BUT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE 6T40 TRANSMISSION WHICH MY VEHICLE HAS. THE DEFECTIVE INTERNAL PARTS IN QUESTION ARE SHARED BETWEEN THE 6T40 AS WELL AS THE 6T45 SO I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW MY MODEL TRANSMISSION IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS CAMPAIGN TO SOLVE THIS KNOWN ISSUE.
