EXCESSIVE CRACKING AND BREAKING APART OF THE UPPER PLASTIC DASH. PIECES OF THE DASH HAVE BROKEN FREE AND FALLEN DOWN BEHIND THE DASH. THIS IS NOT A RESULT OF A COLLISION BUT THE RESULT OF FAULT MATERIALS UTILIZED IN THE DASH DESIGN. I DON'T HAVE A SPECIFIC DATE OR MILES, THE EXCESSIVE CRACKING AND BREAKING APART HAS HAPPENED DURING NORMAL DRIVING.
I received a recall notice on my truck for the airbags from a local dealer in late 2020. The dealer who sent the notice was not the dealer i purchased from originally and was over 40 miles away . When i tried to set up an appointment with the original dealer they had no record of a recall for my vin # , Nor does this site ! My truck is a 2007 that i originally leased in June of 2006 and bought out the lease when it was up. I believe what has happened is at that time my model was a body style they only made a short run of and within a few months came out with a new body style for 2007 , and that myself and others with the early 2007 model got lost in this process . My passenger side Airbag Warning Light is on and i believe a clear and present danger as i drive.
DRIVER SIDE DOOR LOCKS AND CANT GET IT OPEN . HAVE TO ENTER BY GOING THRU THE OTHER SIDE. MY AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON TOOK TO CHEVY DEALER AND WAS TOLD FRONT SENSOR WAS BAD WAS TOLD ABOUT 800.00 TO FIX. *TR
THERE IS A LARGER CRACK THAT IS OCCURRING ON THE FAR CORNER OF THE DASH WHERE THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IS LOCATED. THIS IS DUE TO THE PLASTIC THAT WAS USED IN THE MANUFACTURING OF THE DASH. UPON AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT, PLASTIC PIECES MAY BREAK OFF AND HARM OCCUPANTS. UPON RESEARCH THIS SEEMS TO BE COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE MODEL OF VEHICLES. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER COURTESY CHEVROLET SERVICE (1233 E CAMELBACK RD, PHOENIX, AZ 85014) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
I RECEIVED AN LETTER IN THE MAIL STATING THAT MY VEHICLE HAD AN RECALL FOR AIRBAGS. I CALL GERRY LANE SOUTH CHEVY IN BATON ROUGE, LA AND THEY REFUSED TO HONOR IT. I'VE CONTACTED THEM ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THIS? I WOULD HATE FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN TO ME IF I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT. ALSO, I'VE LOOKED ON NHTSA WEBSITE FOR OTHER RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE HAS AN RECALL FOR AN WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLIES. MY VEHICLE PULLS TO THE RIGHT TO THE POINT THAT I HAVE TO STOP TO THE VEHICLE (IF I CAN), AND IT ROARS VERY. ACCORDING TO THE NHTSA WEBSITE THE VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE THE RECALLED DONE BUT I DON'T BELIEVE IT WAS DONE CORRECTLY. CAN I GET THE DEALERSHIP TO FIX THE RECALL IF THE RECALL WAS ALREADY DONE? I AM THE SECOND OWNER OF THE VEHICLE.
I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL FOR THE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATORS IN JULY 2016. OVER THE PART 3+ YEARS I HAVE CONTACTED THE LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP 6 TIMES FOR STATUS OF THE REPAIRS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. I WAS TOLD THE SAME THING BY THE GM CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON. NO ONE SEEMS TO BE INTERESTED IN HELPING RESOLVE THIS SAFETY ISSUE. THE GM RECALL NUMBER IS 49151. THE LETTER STATES THAT I WILL BE CONTACTED WHEN PARTS ARE AVAILABLE BUT MY CONCERN IS WITH THE INFORMATION I KEEP RECEIVING THAT THERE ARE NO PARTS GOING TO BE AVAILABLE. MY LAST ATTEMPT TO RESOLVE THIS WAS MARCH 2, 2020.
THE DASH IS CRACKED AND COULD BECOME A SAFETY HAZARD IF AIR BAGS WERE DEPLOYED
MY TRUCK IS LISTED UNDER THE AIRBAG RECALL, YET I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION SINCE THE INITIAL NOTICE. THE CURRENT PROBLEM IS THAT THE TRUCK WILL NOT RUN IF THE STEERING IS IN A CERTAIN POSITION. IT WILL START, THE SERVICE AIRBAG WARNING WILL DISPLAY, AND IT WILL SHUT OFF. IT WILL NOT STAY RUNNING UNTIL THE STEERING WHEEL IS THE "SWEET SPOT". THE STEERING HAS TO BE MANIPULATED BY HAND WITH THE IGNITION IN THE ACCESSORY POSITION.MOST OF THE TIME, THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE TRUCK IS PARKED, BUT ON ONE OCCASION IT ACTUALLY SHUT OFF WHILE SITING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT IN VERY HEAVY TRAFFIC. THIS IS STARING TO HAPPEN MORE FREQUENTLY AND IT HAS ACTUALLY LEFT ME AND MY WIFE STRANDED 3 TIMES, RESULTING IN EXPENSIVE TOW TRUCK BILLS. THE REPAIR SHOP SAYS THEY CAN'T REPAIR IT BECAUSE THERE IS NO REMEDY FOR IT YET. SO FAR IT IS JUST AN IRRITATING EVENT. I FEAR THAT IT MAY LEAD TO SOMEONE GETTING HURT, ESPECIALLY IF IT HAPPENS WHILE ON THE ROAD AGAIN. WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THIS ?

THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE BRAKE LINES WERE RUSTED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED OR INFORMED OF THE FAILURE.THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.

MY WIFE AND I HAD JUST GOTTEN INTO THE TRUCK. WHEN I STARTED IT AND PUT IT IN DRIVE, A VERY LOUD EXPLOSION OCCURRED. MY WIFE HAD ALREADY FASTENED HER SEAT BELT BUT I (DRIVER) HAD NOT. SHE THOUGHT THAT SHE HAD BEEN SHOT. BOTH SEAT BELT PRETENSIONERS HAD EXPLODED. THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AS DID THE EMERGENCY FLASHERS. BOTH SEAT BELTS ARE INOPERABLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE STABILITRAC WARNING LIGHT WAS ALSO ILLUMINATED. BOMNIN CHEVROLET LOCATED AT (1075 SE 6TH AVE, HOMESTEAD, FL) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,331.

TAKATA RECALL.....THE INFORMATION I GET FROM THE FORD DEALERS IS THAT THEIR INFORMATION SAYS THAT THE FIX FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE TAKATA AIR BAG IS NOT AVAILABLE. SO THEY SAY THEY DO NOT HAVE THE AUTHORIZATION TO REPLACE THE AIR BAG. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE AIR BAG NEEDS TO BE REPLACED SO HOW ARE WE GOING TO GET THE FORD DEALER TO REPLACE THE AIR BAG? *BF
NEW ENGINE PLACED IN VEHICLE BECAUSE LOSS OF POWER. SINCE THEN VEHICLE LOOSES ALL POWER IN THE MIDST OF DRIVING. ALARM ALSO GOES OFF WITHOUT NOTICE. NEW BATTERY, THEN NEW ALTERNATOR, AND NOW NEW ENGINE BATTERY CABLES. WAS TOLD NO POWER TO ENGINE THEN TOO MUCH POWER. ABOUT $1,500.00 OUT OF POCKET TO GET FIXED. TRUCK CONTINUES TO SHUT OFF AND LOOSE ALL POWER WHEN DRIVING IN THE CITY.

I WAS DRIVING MY 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO WHEN THE POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, DASHBOARD GAUGES, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, TRACTION CONTROL STOPPED WORKING SIMULTANEOUSLY. THERE WAS A SIGNIFICANT LOSS OF POWER AND THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTED VIOLENTLY AND THE VEHICLE JERKED. I WAS TRAVELING IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET WITH TRAFFIC PRESENT WHILE THIS OCCURRED. THIS NEARLY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT AS I WAS BARELY ABLE TO STEER THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD.

DESPITE THE REPAIR, THE FAILURE RETURNED SOON AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED. THE CONTACT RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE SAME INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC BLED THE BRAKE LINE AND RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE CONTACT HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. ON THE THIRD VISIT, THE CONTACT HAD THE MASTER CYLINDER, THE TWO FRONT BRAKE LINES AND A BRAKE CALIPERS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 162,000.
TAKATA RECALL. AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON. CLUSTER READS SERVICE AIRBAG SYSTEM
I HAVE A MESSAGE SINCE LAST YEAR ABOUT SAFETY ON CHECK AIR BAG SAFETY . I TOOK MY PICK UP TRUCK TO THE CHEVROLET AND THEY TOLD ME TO WAY BECAUSE IT WAS A RECALL PENDING AND THEY WILL SEND ME A NOTE. I READ THAT THE TAKATA CORPORATION NOT BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A SAFETY RISK. I CONTINUE WAITING FOR ANY NEWS ABOUT THE RECALL. I'M REALLY WORRY ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND ALL THE RISK IS THIS BAG EXPLOTE. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ON APRIL 20 2019 NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY GOING ON, I PULL INTO MY DRIVEWAY PUT MY TRUCK INTO PARK AND I GO TO TO ROLL MY WINDOWS UP, POWER WINDOWS, AND THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW WON'T GO UP AND MY PASSENGER REAR WINDOW WON'T GO UP OR DOWN BUT I CAN HEAR THE SWITCH CLICKING BUT CAN'T HEAR THE SWITCH IN THE FRONT PASSENGER, THEN I TEST THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT, POWER ALSO, IT DOESN'T WORK, THE RED ARROW TURN SIGNAL ON PASSENGER SIDE MIRROR ISN'T LIGHTING UP EITHER AND WHEN I OPEN THE PASSENGER DOOR MY INTERIOR LIGHT DOESN'T COME ON BUT OPEN DRIVER SIDE DOOR INTERIOR LIGHT COMES ON AND THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT DOESN'T WORK EITHER, POWER, GO TO CHECK MY FUSES ALL BUT ONE IS OK, LOCATED UNDER HOOD ON DRIVER SIDE, FUSE BLOCK 71 IS BLOWN, J CASE LOW PROFILE 60 AMP FUSE, I BUY ANOTHER 60A J CASE LOW PROFILE FUSE GO TO INSTALL IT AND AS SOON AS THE TERMINALS TOUCH, BLOWN FUSE. I EVEN DISCONNECTED BATTERY THEN INSTALLED ANOTHER FUSE, SAME ONE, RECONNECTED BATTERY, FUSE BLOWS. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT CAN BE THE PROBLEM AND HOW TO FIX IT, THANK YOU

TAKATA RECALL- I RECEIVED GM PASSENGER AIR BAG RECALL NOTICE 49152 FOR MY CHEVY SILVERADO, IN 2016 . I HAVE CALLED YEARLY TO FIND OUT WHEN THEY WILL FIX THE PROBLEM IN MY TRUCK. THE STANDARD ANSWER IS THAT THEY DON'T HAVE A FIX YET AND I WILL BE NOTIFIED WHEN A FIX IS AVAILABLE. I UNDERSTAND THAT AS OF TODAY,MARCH 1,2019, THEY ARE STILL INVESTIGATING AND FINALIZING INVESTIGATION DETAILS. IT WAS INDICATED AGAIN TODAY THAT I WILL BE NOTIFIED WHEN A RESOLUTION IS DETERMINED. THEY SAY THE TRUCK IS SAFE TO DRIVE AS IS. THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER FOR THIS RECALL IS 16V383. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT GM HAS HAD AMPLE TIME TO DETERMINE A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE LINE OF THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY RUSTED AND FRACTURED. THE FAILURE CAUSED BRAKE FLUID TO LEAK OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO WEBER CHEVROLET CREVE COEUR (12015 OLIVE BLVD, CREVE COEUR, MO 63141, (314) 567-3300) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENTIRE BRAKE LINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE REPAIR WOULD COST $3,000. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS COMMON AMONG MANY OF THE SAME CHEVROLET VEHICLES. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY EXPIRED IN 2012 AND THEY COULD NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,082. *TT CONSUMER PURCHASED THE TRUCK NEW AND NOTICE UNDERCARRIAGE WAS RUSTING. CONSUMER SPRAY PAINTED THE HITCH. VEHICLE'S BRAKE LINES WERE RUSTING AND CONSUMER HAD NO IDEA UNTIL IT RUPTURED AND BRAKE FLOWED OVER THE DRIVEWAY. *JB
TAKATA RECALL , WAS NEVER CONTACTED ABOUT THE RECALL , ALSO WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY I HAVE REPLACED THEM SEVERAL TIMES AND I HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM ANYONE ABOUT THIS SITUATION I DON'T THINK I WILL BE BUYING A CHEVY ANY LONGER BECAUSE OF THE RUST ON THIS TRUCK AND EVERYTHING ELSE THAT IS WRONG WITH IT

TAKATA RECALL: GENERAL MOTORS IS NEGLIGENT IN THE COMMUNICATION AND SERVICING OF MY 2007 SILVERADO 1500. MULTIPLE OTHER MANUFACTURERS HAVE SETTLED AND ARE WORKING TO MAKE THEIR SYSTEMS SAFE, I AM IN ZONE A, WHICH IS SUPPOSEDLY A HIGH RISK AREA. GM IS BEING NEGLIGENT IN ITS ADDRESS OF THE RECALL BUY FILING MULTIPLE PETITIONS FOR INCONSEQUENTIALITY AND DELAYING ANY REMEDIATION. NOT ADDRESSING THIS PUTS MY FAMILY AT RISK OF INJURY AND EVEN DEATH. I ALSO SEE A GREAT NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS SUBMITTED TO THE NHTSA WEBSITE, BUT I DO NOT SEE THAT THE NHTSA IS MAKING ANY ATTEMPTS TO MOVE THIS FORWARD.

THE DEALER (DELLILO CHEVROLET, 18211 BEACH BLVD, HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA 92648, 714-386-1735) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
ENGINE BURNS THROUGH OIL AND ALWAYS NEEDS ADDITIONAL OIL BETWEEN OIL CHANGES. THERE IS NO SIGNS OF AN OIL LEAK NOR IS THERE ANY SMOKE. ALSO THE FRAME OF THE TRUCK IS COMEPLETELY RUSTED.

ONCE THE FUEL LEVEL REACHED A QUARTER OF A TANK, THE CONTACT COULD NOT DETERMINE HOW MUCH FUEL REMAINED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A DEALER. THE DEALER (EDWARDS CHEVROLET 5499 HIGHWAY 280 EAST BIRMINGHAM AL 855-865-1395) STATED THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO CHARGE FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.

JUST HAD SOMEISSUES WITH THE DIFFEREBTIAL ON MY 07 SILVERADO 1500 LT THE PROBLEM BEING IS THE BOLT THE GOES THROUGN THE PIN THAT HOLD SPIDER GEARS IN PLACE BROKE OFF CHEWD THE PIN UP PREETY GODOD WAS A TEMPORARY FIX FINALLY WAS ABLE TO FIX IT PROPER AFTE IT STARTED AGAIN DID NOT HAVE 1500.00 DOLLARS LAYING TO REBUILD IT FOUND A GOOD USED ONE WITH LOW MILES ON JUST SWAPED IT OUT THE COST FOR ALL ABOUT $500.00 THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT SHOULD BE LOOKED IN TO AND GENERAL MOTORS NEEDS TO RECALL THESE VEHICLE TO FIX IT BEING A A COMMON PROBLEM COULD HAVE CAUSEED ME MAJOR WRECK OR SOMEONE ELSE WAS DRIVING IT WHEN HAPPENED THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED SOON STATED ABOUT 160000 MILES IF NOT SOONER BEFORE I CAUGHT IT
WHEN TRYING TO TURN THE KEY ON TO START THE ENGINE , THE KEY WILL NOT TURN UNLESS WIGGLED QUITE A BIT OR ROTATED REPEATEDLY IN A CIRCLE BEFORE GETTING UN-STUCK AND TURNING LETTING ME START THE TRUCK.
